Miracles of the Creek

Chapter 3: Bug Boy

The red light dissipated, and Kelsey and JP saw their friend's new appearance. He was using a red mask, a red long-sleeved shirt, gray pants and his shoes become red.

"Wow!" said the older kid.

"Craig, you are amazing!" said the knight girl.

"Not Craig anymore. Now, I am Bug Boy," said Craig. He quickly used his yo-yo and new powers to leave the Stump.

"Stay here. This way, you two will be safe" said Bug Boy, before leaving the place definitively.

Dark Cupid was attacking a lot of children. Their arrows were leaving their mouths black, which meant that his power was working. They were all acting cruelly with each other.

Suddenly, a yo-yo hit the villain's face. He felt annoyed and looked around to find the opponent. And he found him. Bug Boy was right in front of him.

"You are not going to keep terrorizing the creek. Leave or I will have to attack," said Bug Boy. Dark Cupid didn't give up, though. He shot even more arrows at him.

Craig didn't feel scared though. He quickly used his yo-yo as a shield. Then, he used it to tie the villain's fist so that he punched himself. Dark Cupid, using his strength, raised the boy in the air, rotating him, and, soon after, launching him away.

Bug Boy felt in the ground, but the magic of the miraculous protected him from any intense bruises.

Back at the Stump, Kelsey and JP were worried about Craig. They felt useless about not being able of helping.

"We can't stay here doing nothing! That's not what a hero like the Great Warrior Kelsey would do!" said the knight girl, annoyed by what was happening.

"But it's not like we have powers to help him," said the older kid. Suddenly, they had an idea. They grabbed the box and pressed the top bottom, and, with that, they released a lot of kwamis.

"This is serious, and we need help. What are your powers supposed to be?" asked Kelsey.

Bug Boy was far from giving up. He continued to use his yo-yo to try to attack Dark Cupid, but he was in the air, and it was starting to get complicated. His opponent could fly, which gave him the advantage.

"You might be brave, boy, but you are outnumbered. My cruel servants, destroy Bug Boy!" said Dark Cupid, giving orders to the kids that were affected by his powers.

All the kids that were with their lips black were aiming at Craig. Jason, Eliza, and Cannonball were approaching him.

"Give up, Craig. You are useless" said Jason, jumping to attack him. Bug Boy avoided and pushed him away. Cannonball appeared from behind and grabbed his arms. Craig elbowed the boy and used his yo-yo to climb a tree.

"You silly boy, you can't run away from us!" said Eliza, starting to climb the three with the other two boys climbing tree. Bug Boy needed to find a way of stopping them, but Dark Cupid started to shoot more arrows at him.

He started to get scared. He couldn't stop the three of getting his miraculous if he was busy protecting himself from the arrows. And worse, the rest of the Creek Council, that had also been affected by the power of the villain, started to approach.

"Uproar!" the five heard in the distance. Suddenly, they saw a frog doll hitting Dark Cupid. Suddenly, his arrows became toilet plungers and the dark ink in the lips of the kids became orange juice.

The three kids felt from the tree, and they seemed to be confused about what had happened.

"What just happened?!" asked Dark Cupid, not understanding how his powers stopped working. Then, all of them noticed to new heroes. One monkey themed and the other dragon themed.

"You had the misfortune of getting in the way of the two new heroes of the Creek, Sárkány!" answered Kelsey, in her new superheroes form. She was using a dark red suit with light red on her arms and legs.

"And J-Ape!" said JP. He was using a monkey themed outfit, and his hair was slightly messier than usual and the color slightly redder.

"Kelsey! JP!" screamed Craig, surprised at seeing his friends with miraculouses.

"We will never let you alone Craig! That's what friends are for! Wind Dragon!" said Sárkány, transforming herself in wind. Using her new form, she started to hinder his flight. The bag that was with the arrows.

"It must be the object with the akuma!" said Bug Boy, using his yo-yo to grab the object. He quickly destroyed the object and released the akuma.

"Time to purify you, little creature!" said Craig, purifying the akuma, making it go back to being a butterfly.

"Bye, little bug," said Bug Boy. Dark Cupid quickly went back to being Kim.

"We did it!" said J-Ape, happy with their victory.

"Great Warrior Kelsey is now even more powerful! Now, nothing can stop me!" said Sárkány.

Suddenly, however, a bunch of portals appeared. One of them dragged Kim, that was still too tired to notice what was going to happen.

"This is good, right?" asked J-Ape.

"I guess" answered Bug Boy, not knowing enough to say what that meant. They quickly went back to normal so that they could feed their kwamis.

"And here, choco rolls for all of you" said Craig, giving a snack to each one of the three.

"Craig there still is one akuma left here" said Tikki, while she ate the candy. The three kids were shocked with the news.

"But how?! I thought the moth holder could only create one villain at a time" said the map boy, surprised with the news.

"Lord Vortech always had a kind of connection with the kwamis. He was created in a similar way we were, and it was also close in time. One of his abilities is enhancing the powers of the miraculouses" said the kwami of creation.

"But what does he want? If he wants the miraculous, wouldn't the villain be after us?" asked Kelsey.

"Except if they are after this dimension's own foundation element!" said Longg, noticing what was about to happen.

"Then, we need to stop them! We only need to find this foundation element before them. Tikki, can you help us?" asked Craig.

"Yes, I can send to your yo-yo, when you transform, the exact location of the element" said the kwami of creation.

"Then, we got no time to waste. Tikki, spots on!" said the map boy.

"Longg, bring the storm!" said the warrior girl.

"Xuppu, show time!" said the older kid. They all went back to their hero's forms.

After falling the map on the yo-yo, the trio arrived at a cave. It was weird since they have never seen that place before. It was hidden with a lot of leaves and plants.

"If we didn't have to take care of this villain, I would make a map about this place. I bet no other kid has ever been here," said Bug Boy.

"Kind of weird of how well hidden this place is" said J-Ape.

"It's obvious, JP. They needed to find a safe place to hide this powerful object. They are like snow trolls hiding their frozen treasure" said Sárkány, making a reference to her fantasy books.

As they kept walking through the cave, they found some drawings and symbols at the walls.

"What do you guys think it is?" asked Bug Boy, as he looked at the images.

"It seems that someone is kneeling as they approached some objects to a shiny stone. It seems like a magical ritual!" said Sárkány, still thinking about her books.

"I think it seems more like a game" said J-Ape. The map boy grabbed his yo-yo to take photos of the drawings.

"Maybe Tikki can tells us more about this later," said Bug Boy. They continued to walk to the cave and seeing more drawings at the wall, but then, they saw Onichan almost grabbing the stone.

"The stone! It must be the foundation element!" said the warrior girl. They slowly approached slowly the villain, avoiding doing noises.

"Good job, Onichan. Now, you just need to grab this element and bring it to us!" said Moth King, though his mind communication power. As she approached the gem, Bug Boy swinged his yo-yo and brought her away from the object.

"Sorry to tell you, flower girl, but we are not letting you take the element" said the map boy.

"It's Onichan, and I am not letting any of you get in my way!" said Onichan, getting rid of the yo-yo and jumping to attack the three. Sárkány also jumped to attack her.

The warrior girl attacked at her from the left side, and the villain protected herself from the left. They kept exchanging some attacks, until Onichan focused energy in her sword and started to give her quick attacks, Sárkány did the same and they kept fighting, until the villainess was able of throwing her enemy's sword away.

"It seems you lost, little girl" said Onichan, preparing to give her one last attack.

"I still have one last trick. Lightining Dragon!" said Sárkány, becoming electricity. She used her new form to give an electrical attack at her opponent.

"You little cheater!" said Onichan, in pain.

"I think it's time for some luck. Lucky charm!" said Bub Boy, summoning a box of bubble gum.

"Gum? How can this be useful?" asked the map boy, looking at the object.

"It's something really sticky. Maybe, it means we should stick something after this," said the older kid. Suddenly, Bug Boy, had an idea.

"JP, help me chew some of these" said the map boy, asking for his friend's help. Meanwhile, Sárkány stopped being electricity and Onichan was even angrier.

"You are going to pay for that!" said the villainess, attacking once more. Sárkány quickly grabbed her sword back so she could defend herself. They continued their fight, until Bug Boy used his yo-yo to take her away from the villainess.

When Onichan jumped to continue their fighting, she ended up stepping on chewed gum, which made her fall and drop her sword. The map boy caught the akumatized object and broke it, realizing and purifying the akuma.

"Bye, little bug. Miraculous, Bug Boy" said Bug Boy, fixing all the damages caused by both akumas, and bringing Kagami back to normal.

A new portal appeared and dragged her into it. Once more, the three kids didn't know if it was good or bad. They took their chance and grabbed the foundation element before the portal could caught it too.

The Creek Council reunited once more. Now, they finally understood how dangerous this whole situation was.

"Now that you all understand the situation that we are all in, do you accept to help us save the universe?" asked Craig.

"Look, it's not like we don't want to help, but what can we do. This people are literally super-villains, and we are all just a bunch of kids. What can we all do?" asked Eliza, a little more believing this time.

"We just need to work together and make a plan" said the map boy. Everyone seemed to be motivated, until more portals started to appear.

"What it this?" asked Kit, being caught by the portal.

"It seems to be a portal made of negativity" said Sparkle Cadet, also being sucked by it.

"My candy!" said Bobby, also being sucked by the object.

"Help!" asked Maney, also being sucked. JP tried to save her but couldn't do it.

"Help me first! I am rich!" said Eliza also being sucked. In the end, all of the kids were sucked by the portals.

Suddenly, Craig felt that the portals were trying to catch the gem. He grabbed it and did his best to not let the portal have it.

"Guys, help me! We can't let him have the stone" said the map boy, asking for help. They all started to hold the object so it wouldn't go. Then, the portal started to get more and more intense.

Things that were inside the stump also started to be sucked by the portal, even the miracle box. Fortunately, Craig quickly grabbed it and started to hold both foundation elements.

Tikki quickly entered in the box, to talk with the other kwamis, and then left it.

"Craig, I need you all to let yourselves to enter in the portal with the box" said the red kwami.

"What?!" asked the map boy, surprised.

"Just trust me, please" said Tikki. Craig and the rest exchanged quick glances, and they all agreed. They let themselves enter the portal, with a few objects accompanying them.

Dimension ?

The three kids decided to look around the cave they were at. That place was really dark, cold, and silent.

"Where even are we? This is far different from any place of the Creek," said Craig.

"I know exactly what happened. When we entered the portal, we ended up arriving on a place between life and death. Now, we need to prove ourselves to the gods and show everyone our worth" said Kelsey, thinking about something that would happen in one of her books.

"Don't be silly, Kelsey. It's obvious that one of us hit his head hard somewhere, and this is all a weird dream" said JP, as always, thinking about the less probably option.

"Sadly, it's none of this" said Tikki, leaving the map boy's pocket. All of the kids turned their faces to look at the small creature.

"This is the center of the multiverse, a place that Lord Vortech won't be able of finding us" said the kwami of creation, explaining what was happening.

"Was it supposed to be so… cold and depressing?" asked Craig, not being that impressed by a place that was supposed to be the center of the multiverse.

"No, it wasn't. It was supposed to have lights coming from everywhere, but Lord Vortech being freed from his dimensional jail ended up absorbing a lot of energy" said Tikki, explaining things.

"Okay, we need a plan. We need to rescue the kids that were captured" said the map boy, starting to list what they needed to do.

"Defeat Lord Vortech" said the knight girl, continuing the list.

"And return to the Creek" said JP, finishing it.

"We just need to think how," said Craig.

"Well, to defeat Lord Vortech, you guys first need to grab the other Foundation Elements from the other dimensions. And for that, we would need that big portal…" said Tikki.

"Then, let's do it!" said the older boy, approaching the portal. Kelsey, however, stopped him.

"JP, the portal is…" said Kelsey, being interrupted by more parts from the portal falling in the ground. "Broken" the knight girl said, finishing the phrase.

"Well, we have the miraculous of creation at our side. But, I am not sure if only one Lucky Charm will be enough to do it" said the map boy, almost sure that the time limit wasn't enough. This, however, ended up giving the kwami of creation an idea.

"Craig, can you grab that Crystal you found on that cave?" asked Tikki. Craig nodded and grabbed the object.

"This crystal is a miraculous enhancer. Using it, you guys will be able of using the maximum capacity of the miraculous without needing to recharge, without being an adult" answered the kwami of creation, leaving all of the kids amazed.

"But wait. How?" asked Craig, a little bit confused about how much convenient this all sounded.

"Yeah, this foundation element of the Creek, right? Shouldn't this be at the miracle dimension if it has anything to do?" asked Kelsey.

"Well, it's kind of a long story…" said Tikki.

"We don't have time to lose. What do we need to do to get rid of the time limit?" said the map boy, ignoring his curiosity, and focused to save his friends.

"Put the crystal on front of the miracle box" said the kwami of creation. The kids did as they were told.

"Now, hold hands and say 'Maximum Capacity'" said Tikki, continuing the instruction. The kids grabbed each other's hands and repeated the words. As soon as they did, the earrings, Tikki, and the circles of the box started to glow blue.

"Tikki, is this normal?" asked Craig, starting to get worried as the glow started to get brighter and brighter. The kwami, however, stood silent.

"Tikki?" asked Kelsey, also getting scared. The glow, however, was only getting brighter.

"Guys, if this is the end, I would like to know you are all my best friends, and the best thing to ever happen to me!" said JP.

"Same, JP!" said the map boy, starting to tear up.

"Equal" said the knight girl, also believing to have met her doom. They all close their eyes in fear, scared of what could happen to them.

After a few more seconds of glowing, they opened their eyes and the glow started to dissipate, and everything went back to normal.

"It worked?" Craig asked, not understanding if anything worked.

"It did!" said Tikki, being excited about the mission getting easier. They all got happier with the news.

"Well, time to fix this portal. Spots On!" said the map boy, transforming.

"Lucky Charm!" said Bug Boy, using his special power. It ended up creating duct tape.

"Duct tape?" asked Kelsey.

"Are we supposed to fix this entire portal with just duct tape?" asked JP.

"Well, with the new power enhancement, this means we will get a lot of it. Well, better if we start now" said the map boy, preparing himself to fix this portal.

Meanwhile, Moth King was mad at their defeat. He was full of rage.

"Those stupid little kids! Always on my way!" said Moth King, being extremely mad.

"Patience, Xavier. This was only the first time. Next time, it will be difference. After all, we have a new trick on our sleeves" said Lord Vortech, snapping his fingers.

As soon as he did it, a portal appeared, and out of it, all of the kidnapped children ended up leaving the portal.

"Ouch, where even are we?" asked Kit, falling in the ground. The other kids also got up and started to look around, trying to understand what was happening, doing the same the other group did a few days ago.

"We did it! We arrived at the center of the multiverse!" said Wren, extremely excited about their discovery. The girl was so excited about being able of learning more about the multiverse, she didn't even pay attention to the circumstances.

"This is the best day of the entire existence!" said the scientist girls, still excited.

"Speak for yourself. I had spent the entire day at the salon yesterday. Now, it's all wasted! My hair will get entirely dirty on this cage!" said Eliza, extremely angry.

"Seriously?! We were sent to another dimension, with no idea how long we are going to stay here and the thing you care the most about is your hair!" said Jason, disappointed at the leader of the Tea-Timers.

"Calm down, everyone. Fight won't bring us anywhere" said the Sewer Quenn, using her leading abilities to calm everyone's nerves.

"Yeah, Craig is with the miraculouses, and he never gives up!" said Bobby.

"This Lord Vortech won't even see where the punch came from" said Wildernessa, trusting the stump kids' abilities.

"We just can't give up and keep optimistic! We can't let this sadness control us!" said Sparkle Cadet.

"Besides, we have that Green Poncho, he probably can help us, right?" asked Maney.

At that moment, they noticed that the Green Poncho was not close to them. He was close to the bars and seemed to be talking to someone.

"Come on, Omar. Stop this game. Come join us, and we will rule the multiverse together" said Peahen Knight, trying to convince her former friend to join her side.

"Never, Maya! Joining the king's side was already bad, now this is a new level of low for you and Xavier! Ruling the universe?! What are you two even thinking?!" asked Omar, angry with her inability of seeing how wrong she was.

"You are always like this. Always, 'Mister Nice'. This is the difference between the two of us. That's why I am here among the mighty, and you, caged at my command" said Maya, walking away from the cage.

The atmosphere of the place stood pretty tense. The akuma class was still a little bit confused trying to understand the drama between all of this kids.

Meanwhile, Moth King and Lord Vortech were discussing their next stop on the multiverse.

"So, the Miracle Box will stay out of our hands for a while, what should we go after at this moment?" asked Lord Vortech, seeing his ally's multiversal map.

"Well, this time, I think it would be wise to go after the Ruby Slippers from Oz. It's the closest dimension from ours at the moment" answered Xavier.

"Good idea, Moth King, time for a new akuma" said Lord Vortech.

"As you wish, Lord Vortech" Moth King said, grabbing a butterfly and turning it into an akuma.

"Let's see, who has potential to become the next villain" said Xavier, taking a look at the akuma class. At that moment, he noticed a boy with headphones that seemed to be about to cry.

"Perfect!" said Moth King, sending the akuma after him. The akuma was pretty discreet, so, no one noticed it on the right time.

"Nino, watch out!" said Alya, noticing too late about what was about to happen to her boyfriend. When the akuma entered on his glasses, a purple energy covered him and, when it dissipated, a blue villain appeared on his place.

"Well, Rocketear, your mission is simple: go to this Oz place and grab this Ruby Slippers, understood?" asked Moth King.

"Yes" said Rocketear. He was released of the prison after his akumatization and started to approach a new portal that. Before he did that, however, Xavier remembered something important.

"Oh, and, before you go, bring one of this smelly Creek kids with you as a hostage. That Craig is sensitive, he won't want his precious friends to get hurt" said King Moth, remembering about the new trick the Villain Trio had.

Rocketear walked away from the portal and started to approach the Creek Kids. They started to get worried about what was going to happen, but, with her leader instincts, Sewer Queen wasn't going to let that happen.

"We won't let you do anything to us!" said Sewer Queen, putting herself in front of the other kids to protect them.

"Well, if that's the case, you are the hostage then!" said Rocketear, grabbing the ruler of the sewers. The other kids tried to help, but they were pushed away, and watched that villain take the Sewer Queen away, being unable to help with the bars of dimensional cage.

Back to the Stump Kids, it's not hard to imagine that they weren't exactly… full of energy.

"Is it done already?" asked Kelsey, drained with all that hard work.

"I think it is" answered Bug Boy, not exactly sure about it. "I think we should ask Tikki about it. Spots off" said Craig, detransforming.

"So, Tikki, is it ready?" asked the cartographer. The kwami seemed to be a little bit confused.

"Well, it seems that the essential parts have been fixed, but, the keystones are still missing" said the kwami.

"Oh, the shiny stuff that ended up being absorbed by the portal!" said JP, remembering about the parts of the portal that have been absorbed.

"So, we need to go after them!" said Kelsey, determined.

"Tikki, can you help us track them?" asked Craig.

"Yes, I can. I will send the information to your yo-yo" answered the kwami of creation.

"Now, we just need to turn this portal on. Does it have a button, or a very big light switch or something like this?" asked JP.

"Let me, Kaalki and Fluff handle this" said Tikki entering the Miracle Box, to ask help to the two kwamis that create portals.

"And we will grab Longg and Xuppu" said Kelsey, approaching the box.

Well, Kelsey put her choker on her neck, Xuppu the crown, and the kwami's activated the portal.

"Let's go! Spots on!" said Craig.

"Bring the Storm!" said the warrior girl.

"Showtime!" said the older boy.

The three kept staring at the portal for a few more seconds, trying to earn a little bit more of courage.

"Are you two ready?" asked the cartographer. His friends nodded.

Bug boy gave one last breath and, being accompanied by his friends, the three starting one of the most important journeys of their lives.
