Actual title: The day it all went to shit
.
.
.
Aiz was walking and eating.
Elegia always made her feel down, and this year was no exception. In response to this Ais did what she always did when feeling down, she got some potato snacks.
"Pumpkin flavor… It sounded almost heretical, but this is pretty good, too… nom."
That was when she ran into them.
Bell and Syr.
Both extremely well dressed.
Clearly on a date.
They spoke about children.
They then abruptly left.
Aiz's mind was a mess.
In another world, Aiz might have stood there in shock until she was questioned by someone about Bell's whereabouts, but this wasn't that world.
It took the poor girl about 2 seconds to realise that the potato snacks she had on her would not be enough. She then turned around and went the way she came. Aiz, after arriving at the potato snack stand she had made a purchase at no more than 15 minutes prior, bought more potato snacks than she ever had before, and proceeded to spend the day on the walls of Orario, where she had trained Bell, eating.
In the time it took her to eat all her snacks, the sun had started to set. With no snacks left to eat and still feeling overwhelmed from what she had witnessed earlier in the day, Aiz decided to go to bed early for once, and so she did.
After getting home Aiz went straight to bed, though it took her a very long time to fall asleep with all of the thoughts going through her head.
Once Aiz had fallen asleep the room grew quiet, the only sounds that could be heard were those of the occasional familia member getting a late-night snack.
"?!"
Aiz jumped out of bed and assumed a battle ready pose while reaching for her sword, with all the speed and agility of a top tier adventurer, only to find that Desperate was not at her waist.
"Huff…huff…huff…"
As the girl gathered her bearings she understood what had happened.
"It was just a nightmare…"
It had been quite a while since her last nightmare. Aiz quickly calmed herself down, something she had become very good at, after years of nightmares.
"Deep breaths, deep breaths… What time is it anyway? 2 or 3 am?"
Now that she had calmed herself down, Aiz noticed something that had escaped her attention at first.
"THRRRRP"
Her stomach was hurting, and hurting bad at that.
"I may have overdone it with the potato snacks."
Aiz went to the bathroom as fast as she could, trying to not make a sound, all the while whispering-
"Shit shit shit."
"I have never had such a bad stomach ache."
"IfIrunintosomeonerightnowIwillkillmyself."
Once she got to the bathroom.

This was accompanied by-
"Oh shit, literally oh shit."
"Oh god it hurts."
"I will never eat potato snacks again."
This went on for nearly an hour.
"Huff… huff… is it over? Thank god."
As Aiz stood up she made the foolish mistake of looking at the damage she had done.
"Gross."
It was indeed gross, it was basically liquid, runny didn't even begin to describe it, if you heated it up and put it in a cup you might think it was hot chocolate… well expect for the fact that it was yellow.
"That doesn't look healthy."
It was at that moment Aiz made her third mistake of the past 24 hours. Driven by a morbid interest she sniffed her own poo.
"AH, god that smells… why did I even smell it?"
She proceeded to flush the toilet, and for good measure to air out the room. But as she opened the window she heard something.
"Screaming and shouting this late? Well I guess it is the Goddess Festival after all."
Aiz left the bathroom, making sure that she closed the door to avoid the stench from spreading, and started heading for her bedroom, until she ran into someone who hadn't been looking so good for the past few weeks.
"Oh, hey Lefiya."
"Oh, hi miss Aiz…"
Her voice sounded down, as it had ever since the last raid on knossos.
I guess she still hasn't gotten over Filvis… But she does look a little better.
"Are you feeling okay?"
"Oh, yeah I'm feeling fine…"
She wasn't fine, anyone could tell that, and Aiz had no idea what to do about it
"Well um… Can i get you anything?"
"Huh? Oh that's very kind of you miss Aiz, but I'm just going to the bathroom…"
"Ok then, goodnight."
"Goodnight."
With the conversation over Aiz continued to make her way to her room, while lost in her thoughts.
I wish there was something I could do for her… Maybe I can take her shopping with Tiona and Tione tomorrow? There are plenty of unique little stands during Goddess Festival. Yeah i'll do that.
As she headed to bed, Aiz was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear the sound of something hitting the ground as Lefiya entered the bathroom that Aiz herself had just left.
Aiz woke up feeling extremely motivated, she was determined to make Lefiya feel better. The first thing she did after getting out of bed was open her window to check the weather, and fortunately it was a beautiful sunny day, some clouds on the horizon, but they could do plenty before it started raining.
Aiz put on the dress that she had selected with Tiona, Tione, and Lefiya the last time they went out shopping, of course it wasn't the same one, Loki had bought her another one after the Violas incident during Monsterphilia.
After getting ready Aiz went downstairs fully intent on getting Tiona and Tione on board with her cheer Lefiya up plan. But as she neared the common area she started to hear a lot of whispering, and when the blond haired girl entered the mess hall the room turned quiet, every eye turned to her. Only one thought went through Aiz's mind.
Oh my god… Did they hear me pooing last night?!
"Um… Is something wrong?"
No one said anything. Only one person moved, it was Raul, he looked like he was on the verge of tears. He silently approached Aiz and handed her a newspaper.
Aiz took the paper and looked at the headline.
RABBIT FOOT MURDERED
The girl's heart sank.
No…
Bell Cranel, while out for dinner last night, was attacked by a large number of Freya familia members.
This can't be right
Bell Cranel's patron deity, Hestia, who was at the same restaurant saw this and tried to intervene, however she was accidentally stabbed.
Please stop
Due to Hestia being sent back to Tenkai, Bell Cranel lost his status in the midst of battle and
Aiz dropped the newspaper and ran out of the familia home.
It's a lie! It has to be!
She kept on running through town hoping to find the boy with the white hair.
I don't believe it! I don't believe it!
As the hours passed the sky grew cloudy, and there was still no sign of the boy with the red eyes.
Are you going to leave me behind as well?
The girl's search brought her to the southeastern district, where she found the members of Hestia familia carrying something.
Ah! I'll ask them where Bell is!
But just as she was about to go ask them she noticed where they were going.
N… no… this…
They were heading to the Adventurers Graveyard.
This can't be real…
Just as it started raining Aiz understood something.
The boy that had calmed the raging flames inside of her.
I'm never going to see him again.
In another world, the person standing alone in the rain might have been a girl who just got rejected.
Unfortunately, this was not that world.
