Once they had all gotten back to Chicago and had gone back to work, the week had surprisingly gone quickly. It was Friday again and all the women were meeting for dinner. The group was getting bigger but they enjoyed each other's company. The men were also meeting but were in charge of the kids. Hank and Justin were cooking out, while the women were going out for pizza. Once everyone got home and got changed, they met at Home Run Inn and got their table. This was the first time Lizzie, Jen and Tracy had joined them. They had their drink order taken and ordered appetizers before they ordered their pizza.

"This was a fast week."

"It sure was. It doesn't seem like we were just in New York a week ago."

"No, it doesn't."

"Was SVU busy this week?"

"Kind of slow, actually."

"Intelligence was too."

"That's what Hank said."

"I am enjoying working for SVU."

"We're glad to have you, Kim."

"I figured that once Adam and I had gotten back together, we shouldn't be working together. I do miss everyone though."

"Well, it's not like we don't work with them."

"You miss me, Burgess. Admit it."

"Maybe."

"Just maybe?"

"Yeah."

"Jen and Tracy, have you met Sharon Goodwin, Maggie Lockwood, April Sexton and Natalie Manning from Med?"

"No, we have not but the names sound familiar. Dr. Larson is my husband. I'm Jennifer and this is my sister Tracy Stevenson."

"It's very nice to meet you. He's been a great addition to the staff. I'm the Hospital Administrator. Maggie is the Head Nurse in the ED, April is second in charge and Dr. Manning is one of the doctors in the ED."

"It's nice meeting all of you too. Shawn really loves his job there. Lisa is our cousin."

"Ok. Your husband is a doctor too, right?"

"Yes. He now works with our uncle at Northwestern."

"You have children?"

"Yes. We have 4 boys. Our oldest is 17 and our youngest is 11."

"How about you?"

"Same except ours our oldest is 16 and our youngest is 10."

"Lisa, how did you end up being the only one with girls?"

"I've been wondering that for years. My mom is one of three sisters and out of six grandchildren, there are four girls. I'm the youngest of the girls and have the only daughters."

"Each time I was pregnant, I wanted a girl."

"Me too. Mom tells us all the time how much she would have loved to have had at least one granddaughter."

"That's why I am really hoping this one is a girl. Benjamin asked us the other day if this baby was a girl or a boy. I told him we didn't know yet but we would find out soon. He said he wants a sister."

"Erin, did I tell you that I talked to Amanda last night?"

"No, you didn't."

"She said they are having a girl."

"That is awesome! Is she feeling better?"

"Yeah. I talked to Rafael this morning. He hasn't gotten used to not getting any sleep yet. He gets a week off but he took all next week off too."

"It takes time."

"Yep. When I first got Noah, he was older but I still had to get up with him to give him bottles. Since Lexie was born and I have been nursing her, that was a lot of our bonding time. Hank gets up with her more than I do sometimes."

"Are you still nursing her now?"

"Yeah but not as often. I do it more when she isn't feeling well."

"That's pretty much how I was with Owen too when he was about a year old. It relaxed me though after coming home from a long day at the hospital."

"Is the sensitivity normal?"

"Yes. Very."

"Hank doesn't help matters."

"Neither does Trevor."

"They never do."

"Lately I can't get enough of Jay."

"That's normal too."

"I wasn't like that with Daniel but I am this time."

"So we've noticed."

Olive started blushing.

"I am so sorry."

"Hank and I aren't much better."

"Neither are Trevor and I. He is the most amazing man ever. He has loved Emily from the moment they met and he wanted to be a father to her. He also hit is off right away with Adam and Ty and they felt comfortable enough with him when they came to live with us. I know I never would have married Eric once I found out he cheated on me."

"Is the one he cheated on you with still trying to get you to introduce the kids to each other?"

"No. I haven't heard from her since I told her that I didn't think it was a good idea."

"What was the point of that?"

"Exactly. If Eric was still around and had Emily on weekends or whatever, fine but he's dead."

"Are you going to tell her about him?"

"I will eventually. She's not even 4."

"I have something similar to look forward to with Noah. I need to tell him about both of his parents when the time is right but neither one was the greatest. I'm the only mother he has known and Hank is the only father he has known."

"Just like Trevor is the only father Emily has known. At least Adam and Ty have some memories of their parents. Look at Kevin. He's 15 and Rafael is the only father he has known. In a way, I can see why Michelle didn't tell Aunt Maggie about him at the Memorial Service. Maybe she shouldn't have waited until he was a teenager before telling her about him but a part of me thinks that Michelle taking the job in New York and running into Aunt Maggie was Kevin bringing his son and mother together for the first time."

"You might be right about that. I can't figure Aunt Maggie saying that that she would never get involved with a cop but she ends up marrying one anyway. Uncle Ed is great for her though. She needs someone that will protect her and I know she's been through a lot. Unfortunately, Tracy, Sarah and I were old enough to remember what had happened to her. PJ not so much and you were just born."

"Honestly, I don't remember that much about what had happened to her. I wasn't even 5 and we were here. All I remember is what I was told later on."

"The scary thing is though is that the last time all 6 of us were together was at your wedding."

"Yeah, I know."

"Why didn't you guys come to Gram's funeral?"

"The 4 of us were out of the country and we had actually been to see her just before we left. If we weren't out of the country, we would have been there. Mom and Dad knew and I'm surprised they didn't say something."

"Aunt Maggie handled her death better than she did Pop's."

"So did Mom."

"So did I after a while."

"Pop's death was hard but he was a cop. Kevin's was the hardest though. He was 25 years old when he died but he was Aunt Maggie's whole world."

"Probably because of the way it happened."

"He chose to be a firefighter."

"Yep, he did."

"Maggie is definitely happy that Ed retired."

"She seemed like it. He seems more relaxed about everything too. The 6 of us were talking while we were waiting for our flight home from New York the other day and we were thinking that we should have a girls' weekend away but next year sometime after Erin, Olive and Sarah have their babies. We were thinking maybe Vegas. I know some of you may not be able to make it based on your work schedules, mostly the ones at Med. I'd like to maybe include Melinda and Amanda and possibly Lizzie's mom, Kathy."

"If I know well enough in advance, I can get someone to cover for me. Will can stay with Owen and if he's at work, Helen will watch him."

"April and I will have to decide who wants to go because usually if I'm off, she's in charge."

"I'd have to see how things go, since things seem to fall apart if I'm not there but it might be good to get away and I may go if Maggie decides to go."

"I'm in whether Christopher is off or not. I can find someone to keep an eye on the kids."

"Me too. I'll get a substitute for my classes. If Wallace is off, he can take care of Terrance. If not, our neighbor can watch him."

"I'm in. If we're scheduled to be on, I'll put in for the time off."

"Me too."

"Hell yeah! I'm in too and if Gabby and Brett are putting in for the time off, I will too."

Gabby and Sylvie looked at Stella and shook their heads but laughed at her.

"Mouch can take care of himself, so I'm definitely in."

"Can the 4 of us be off at the same time?"

"Liv, Lisa and I were all off at the same time when we went to Orlando."

"I don't have a problem with the 4 of us being off at the same time."

"I'd go."

"So would I."

"Me too."

"I like the idea and thank you for thinking of inviting my mom."

"No problem. I may want to rethink inviting Amanda if we're going to Vegas. I forgot she has a gambling problem."

"Having a girls' weekend away sounds like a great idea. We'll come up with something."

"Is DC doable for a long weekend?"

"Yeah. You can see a lot of the museums in a weekend, especially the Smithsonian."

"We'll all have to think about it."

"Rita and Joe may allow us to stay at their beach house in the Hamptons."

"That will be something to think about too."

"Is there a reason that Alyssa didn't join us this time?"

"They went away for the weekend. They haven't had time to do much alone since her accident and recuperation from the surgery. Her parents have a lake home in Michigan, so they went up there."

"It's good that they could do that."

"It is. She's been working so hard since the surgery and she was back at work soon than any of us expected. She really loves spending time with just Lexie while the boys are at school."

"Is she going to take on the babies after they're born?"

"She said she would. I don't know what is going to happen once she and Mouse decide to have a baby."

"If you need help, let me know. I would love to help."

"Thank you so much, Meredith. We really appreciate that."

"I will too."

"Thanks, Cindy."

"I'm available mostly in the summer but I'll do what I can too."

"Thanks, Donna."

"I'm pretty much available too."

"Thanks, Pauline. I think we'll be ok."

"If I have to go part-time, I will. I don't completely want to give up my job because I really love it."

"Greg and Trevor will find a way even if they have to set you up to work from home."

"Erin, if Will and I can do anything to help you and Jay, please let us know. Helen said she could help with the baby too."

"She really changed her tune about Will, didn't she?"

"She has."

They got their appetizers.

"My sisters and I are trying to figure out when our brother and his wife are going to have a baby."

"We all are too."

"What's going on with your parents? I know your mom said your dad wanted to get back together."

"Honestly, I think they get along better divorced. We know they're sleeping together. Dad seems to think that he wants to move here or back to New York. He claims if he moves here, it's to be closer to me. We both know that's BS."

"Especially since I'm here. After what happened in Hawaii, I don't trust him not to try something with me again and Hank isn't going to take any crap from him anyway."

"Mom doesn't want to move because Eli has his friends in Seattle. I don't want him here."

"What does Kevin think about your dad?"

"He thinks he's annoying. He loves the rest of my family though. It's pretty bad when all of my siblings' spouses feel that way."

"I can see Jenna feeling the way she does because he and Ed never got along."

"Mom told me that Dad thinks Dickie could have better than he did because he still doesn't like her dad. Dickie loves Jenna and the boys so much."

"It's Dickie's decision not your dad's."

"Exactly. She told Dickie what Dad had said because she loves Jenna and she's trying to make an effort to get along with her dad. Dickie is pissed at Dad and Dad's pissed at Mom."

"Everything was always about him."

"It still is. That hasn't changed and probably never will."

"I take it this happened since I saw your brother last weekend?"

"Yeah, it was since you saw him last. Dickie loves being a dad and he has grown up a lot since he and Jenna have been together."

"Being a dad does that to a lot of people. I've heard from Hank and Erin that Justin really grew up since he became a father."

"He did."

"The Military played a big part in that too."

"It did for Dickie as well. The 5 of us notice how much Dad favors Olivia. Whatever she wants, she gets. Don't get me wrong, we all love her but Dad spoils her. She is the only one that he ever took on a vacation by herself. We never went anywhere because he was always working."

"Hank spoils Lexie but he loves all 4 of our kids. When we were planning the Disney trip, I had wanted to go between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year for Noah's birthday but then when I found out I was pregnant, I knew it wasn't going to happen. We had gotten married a year sooner than we had planned but now I'm glad we did. We decided to do the Disney trip for our anniversary and take the entire family, which was always part of the plan. Erin and Jay decided they wanted to get married down there and didn't want us paying for any of it because we were already paying for the park. Hank is trying to be a better father to Noah and Lexie than he was to Justin and Erin."

"I don't hold it against him. The only reason he missed out on the first 15 years of my life was because of Bunny. If she would have him told the truth in the first place, I would have been able to have him in my life. She chose to keep it from him and act like someone else was my father."

"Justin doesn't hold it against him either. He knows that he had to work to support the family."

"Camille couldn't work after she got sick and everything got so expensive with her treatments. Although he threw himself into work even more because that was how he dealt with what was going on."

"I remember that. I kept telling him he had to deal with what was happening at the time it was happening or he'd make himself crazy later. He chose not to."

"I've been trying to get him to be more open with his feelings."

"It was definitely progress when he broke down in front of everyone when you and Erin were being held hostage."

"I know it was. Justin said the same thing."

"Alvin told me about that. Up until now, he has been one of the people who has seen him break down."

"I have too."

"He broke down for me after what Bunny had done to him."

"With Dad, he felt bad after what he did to that girl, which is why he quit but he thinks it makes him less of a man to show his emotions other than the anger. He has to be tough because he's a Marine. Whatever. Dickie was in the Military and is a cop with a wife and kids but he has never been afraid to show his emotions. Dad always tells him he's too soft. Eli is the same way but so far, Dad hasn't told him he's too soft.

"Hank tries to be such a tough guy too but I'm not falling for it. He's a softy when it comes to me and his daughters. Ed is another one that never really showed any emotions before but once started seeing Maggie and he found out about his daughter, he soften up a bit. When he was starting to get choked up during Kevin's presentation, that was not something he ever would have done before. When Kevin's friend was raped, your brother had gone with Jenna and he made the comment to me that what happened to the girl made his blood boil. I told him he sounded just like his father."

"He's like that but he knows how to control his temper unlike Dad. Maureen's husband is a firefighter and he said there are times when it's hard not to become emotional when something happens at a call. Someone dies or they lose their family pet in a fire or even at an accident."

"For me personally, it's hard when the victim is a child and it always has. Hank is starting to get upset when their victims are children too now that he has young children. Hank is finally controlling his temper better. I know there are times when he wants to smack someone and there are times when I don't blame him but he knows he can get his point across without being physical. I didn't blame him when he punched your dad because I knew he wasn't going to take any of his crap."

"Honestly, I don't either."

"That is so true. We do the best we can and sometimes our best isn't enough. My biggest fear and I'm married to a fellow firefighter, is getting called to a scene and my brother is the victim. He's been shot several times."

"I worry about Antonio all the time. You and Matt too."

"More times than not, I'm with Matt at calls and I still worry something is going to happen to him."

"I bet."

"Hank and I check in with each other several times during the day, which is sometimes every few hours and lately, I have only been going to scenes when I absolutely have to and the same with him but I visit the vics in the hospital and do interrogations. If something were to happen with me, Erin contacts her dad and if something happens with him, I'd hear from Jay or Justin."

"If something happens to anyone in your unit, are you the first to be contacted?"

"Generally, yes and then it's up to me to contact whoever needs to be contacted. With what happened with Lisa a few months back, it happened at a call and Kyle contacted me. Trevor happened to be where I was, so I took him where he needed to be."

"I knew he had gone with Olive to Med because he texted me and told me that he was going."

"I really am sorry about how I treated you after that. I just get so scared that she is going to end up like my dad. My sister barely survived losing her only child and my biggest fear is losing my daughter."

"Believe me, I get it. I hated being the one that had to tell Maggie that her son was on the latest list of victims from the Medical Examiner's office. I gave her as much time as she needed before I left her."

"We remember Dad talking about that when he finally got home."

"I went home and cried after I left Maggie's. I felt like there wouldn't be anyone looking for me if I had been missing like that. My mom was already gone but something tells me that she wouldn't have cared. We never had the best relationship. She was an alcoholic and could be physically and verbally abusive. Nothing I ever did was good enough for her."

"I'm sure Dad probably would have. We all loved you like family."

"I don't doubt that. I'm still hurt by what he did though. He never kept in touch with me and then once he comes back into my life, he tells me he's in love with me. What did he expect me to do, walk out on my family for him? I take my marriage vows seriously."

"Honestly, I think he expected you to still be single and still missing him. He had hoped something could happen between the two of you since he was no longer married to Mom."

"I respected Kathy and the rest of you too much. Nothing ever would have happened between us even if I was still single now. Honestly, I think him leaving ended up being the best thing for me. I came into my own and I've climbed the ranks, which wouldn't have happened if he had stuck around."

"I think it's awesome that you've accomplished so much in that time and so do my siblings. Mom knew Dad would have held you back too."

"Thank you. I think your dad still likes to think he's the longest relationship I have had with a man but actually, that's now Fin even though Don and Munch are still a big part of my life. Don is Grandpa to our kids including Erin and Justin. He's the closest I have ever had to having a father. Noah calls Munch "Uncle Munch" and Daniel has started doing that too."

"That's cute."

"I was still a nurse back when 9/11 happened and I felt bad for all the first responders and medical personnel in New York after all that."

"All those funerals and memorial services had to be exhausting."

"They were."

Their food arrived and they all ate their pizza. They talked a while longer and then they got their bills. They took their leftovers and headed back to Hank and Olivia's. Matt was working downstairs with help of the some of the other guys. Olivia put her and Olive's leftovers in the refrigerator and kissed Hank.

"Hello."

"Hey. Did you decide when and where you are going?"

"No, not yet. I realized I needed to rethink where if I wanted Amanda to go since she has a gambling problem. We're all going to think about that. How was dinner?"

"Good. Did you bring me any pizza?"

"Of course."

"Good. Some of the guys are downstairs."

"Matt was hoping to get some work done tonight. I need to find Herrmann, since we need to get to Molly's."

"He's down there too."

Gabby went downstairs and went to tell Matt she was back. Then she and Christopher left for Molly's after they kissed their spouses. Most of the women left and headed home. Trudy, Meredith, Erin, Alex, Casey and Kim stuck around, since Jay, Kyle, Antonio and Adam were helping and Mouch and Al were "supervising".

"Who's all down there?"

"Mouch, Al, Antonio, Kyle, Jay, Severide, Tony, Capp, Cruz, Atwater and Ruzek. Otis left a while ago to head to Molly's. Wallace and Will were helping for a while but they needed to get the boys home. Justin is trying to get the boys in the bathtub."

"I'm guessing Alvin and Mouch aren't much help."

"They're "supervising"."

Trudy and Meredith both rolled their eyes.

"Trevor didn't stay since he had to get all the kids to bed."

"That makes sense. Did Alexandra give you any problems?"

"Nope. Her big brother gave her a bath and then I gave her a bottle before I put her to bed."

"Ok, good."

"I better go see if Justin needs any help."

Olive went upstairs to help Justin. Trudy went downstairs.

"Are you ready to go home, lazy ass?"

"I'm helping."

"No, you're not and neither are you, Olinsky."

"Who says I'm not?"

"It doesn't take a complete genius to see that."

"They've handed us the tools we need but we'll be fine. We're going to finish up and call it a day pretty soon anyway. See you next shift, Mouch."

"Yeah, you too."

"Thanks, Olinsky."

"No problem."

Trudy, Mouch and Al went upstairs.

"Look who I found, Meredith. They were handing them the tools they needed."

"Oh, wow!"

"Well, someone has to make sure they're doing a good job."

"Let's go. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Trudy, Mouch, Al and Meredith all left. Everyone that was downstairs finished what they were doing and headed home after Erin and Jay said goodnight to the family. Justin finished giving the boys their bath and put them to bed once Hank and Olivia kissed them goodnight. Hank and Olivia went into their bedroom and made love before going to sleep. Justin joined Olive in bed and they made love before they fell asleep as well.
