(A/N: Inspired by Ken Wakui's latest Christmas cover art at the latest chapter of the manga. There are many characters that Wakui could've put in there, but he chose Mikey and Takemichi riding on a bike together with those sack of gifts behind them. And my shipping heart couldn't resist to make a one-shot Christmas special for them. I've also included Doramitsu here as the secondary pairing since I have a soft spot for our beloved Twin Dragons of Toman. For the sake of plot purposes of this AU fic, Hina and Takemichi doesn't have a relationship together and Emma doesn't have any crush towards Draken. Additionally, to get more into the mood of the holidays, have the holiday song of Taylor Swift's, 'tis the damn season' from her Evermore album as the background song. Lastly, I don't own this franchise and this song. Respective and rightful ownership belongs to Ken Wakui for this wonderful manga and Taylor Swift for this beautiful song. Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy your holidays!)

'tis the damn season

By: Aztec999

If I wanted to know who you were hanging with

While I was gone I would have asked you

It's the kind of cold, fogs up windshield glass

But I felt it when I passed you

There's an ache in you put there by the ache in me

But if it's all the same to you

It's the same to me

He could hear the children frolicking and running happily along the playground as he passed them by.

The snow blanketed the road and the trees in a shade of pristine white, the coldness of the weather mingling with the cool breeze of the season.

"Ken-chin why're we out here so early…? We could've just stayed at your place the whole day doing something worthwhile…" Mikey whined childishly as he walked beside the tall blond with a pout on his lips.

A tick mark formed on Draken's forehead upon hearing his annoying words once again. "Didn't I tell you that we should've pick up some gifts for them the day before Christmas! I told you this the other day! And we wouldn't be rushing through the early day of Christmas if you didn't forget and munch on taiyakis the whole day!"

"Oi. Stop yelling at your leader Ken-chin or I'll kick you to make you bow to me in respect once again. I just know that you want my opinion on what is the most suitable gift to give Mitsuya." Mikey shot back with a lazy grin on his face.

Draken's cheeks was coated with a faint pinkish hue upon hearing his last words. "You little shrimp—."

"Mikey-kun…?"

Draken stopped midsentence to glanced at the direction of the familiar voice who called Mikey and came in face to face with the baby-faced blond who possessed one of the most expressive and beautiful periwinkle orbs.

"Takemitchy!"

In a span of few seconds, Mikey whirled past him and engulfed the poor blond in a tight hug that stole the breath of the other.

"Mikey-kun… can't breathe…" Takemichi gasped as a small blush coated his cheeks when the other embraced him tightly.

Draken sighed deeply at the sight before a small, fond smile formed on his lips. It's a good thing that they've seen Takemichi once again especially for Mikey's case since the latter just sulked like a brat during the past few weeks of not being able to hang out with the blond to whom he was too fond with.

So we could call it even

You could call me babe for the weekend

'Tis the damn season, write this down

I'm stayin' at my parents' house

And the road not taken looks real good now

And it always leads to you in my hometown

Even though Draken seemed to be happy that Takemichi and Mikey got reunited with each other during Christmas, he couldn't help the pang that made its way through his heart upon realizing that the one he wanted to see the most wasn't even here yet.

Maybe Mitsuya was being swamped with work again in Italy in one of the prestigious fashion houses that he currently works at as a fashion designer. Not that he can blame him of course.

He was at the peak of his career and it's not unusual being in demand right now and gotten a request from a lot of clients around the world…

But still…

He hasn't heard from him yet. The last time he gotten a phone call from him was for the past 2 weeks and he just vaguely mentioned that he'll be coming back soon in Japan.

But he just didn't mention when.

A sigh broke out from his lips at the mere realization that he'll probably spend the Christmas and New Year again without Mitsuya by his side.

They were already at Mikey's house when he heard some excited noises from the living room.

Wait… was that Mana and Luna…? He squinted his eyes and before he can even think of it, the familiar sight of a man sporting that familiar gorgeous lavender mullet coupled with a pastel hued hoodie and those warm, expressive lilac eyes clashed against his own that made his heart always skipped a beat.

"Hi Ken."

"Welcome back Taka." Draken smiled softly at him as he finally approached him.

I parkеd my car right between the Methodist

And thе school that used to be ours

The holidays linger like bad perfume

You can run, but only so far

I escaped it too, remember how you watched me leave

But if it's okay with you, it's okay with me

Mitsuya parked his sleek, grey Audi at the side of the street and opened the door to get out of the vehicle with Draken following suit.

After that unexpected yet warm reunion between the two of them, they decided to catch up on some things with just the two of them but not without the teasing winks from Emma and Takemichi and some whistling and hollering from Mikey which made Draken smacked his head as usual.

Mitsuya had finally come a long way. From riding a bike to now driving and operating one of the latest models of the car this year. He had a thriving career in the world of fashion. Not that Draken was surprised of course. He knew that Mitsuya would come a long way because of his talent and gifted skill in sewing and designing clothes.

"So, how long have you been planning on keeping it a secret to me that you're heading back to Japan for Christmas?" Draken asked lightly as they traversed in the familiar road going to a certain place that's special to their hearts.

"Well, not for too long… But it's worth it to see my boyfriend's face when he saw me standing there in the living room of Mikey's house and waiting for all of you with his grandpa." Mitsuya answered with a teasing lilt to his voice.

"Ah, you haven't changed Taka. You're still a little bit of a damn tease." Draken replied with a soft chuckle slipping past his lips.

"What can I say? Can't really help it when I'm with you." He sent a playful wink towards his direction that earned him a playful roll of the eyes from the other.

They finally arrived at a certain tunnel that held many memories for them.

"Remember this place Ken?"

"Yeah. How could I forget this place? This is where we first met after all." Draken replied in a nostalgic voice.

"And look… my dragon design in the walls is still there…" Mitsuya smiled softly at the sight of the legendary design that's now embedded to them.

"Your dragon designs?" Draken's brow arched a little. "If I remembered correctly, that's mine now considering that I paid it with a mouth-watering food for you." He added with a grin.

"How could I forget that? Silly little me." Mitsuya feigned a surprise tone before he faced Draken with a smirk on his face and reached for his nape, gently bringing him down on him. "That's not the only thing that you owned from me that day. You've taken my heart as well." He whispered before he gently claimed his lips in a fluttering kiss.

If there's one trait that Mitsuya still haven't change, it was his silver tongue and actions that never failed to make him swoon internally and heart skipped a beat inside his chest.

He's really head over heels for him after all.

We could call it even

And the road not taken looks real good now

"For how long you will stay here?" Mikey asked casually as he watched Mana and Luna played tag at their yard, his eyes never leaving them as he kept his calm façade.

"Wow… Mikey-kun… we just saw each other today and that's the first thing you'll ask me…" Takemichi laughed slightly even though it was tinged with hidden sadness and regret.

"You're back here in the past again so something must've happened in the future isn't it?" Mikey then faced him with a false, cheerful smile on his face.

Takemichi smiled solemnly at him but he didn't say anything, and Mikey understood. He had a mission once again here to fix a certain problem to secure their good futures.

Nevertheless…

A selfish part of him was glad…

That he was here again on the day of Christmas…

And he will make the most of it while his beloved was still here.

"Ah, it's a good thing that my boyfriend is here, and I have someone that I can call babe once again!" Mikey exclaimed happily, this time his smile was more genuine and sincere.

Takemichi was slightly taken aback by his exclamation but quickly regained his bearings and kissed his cheek with a promising whisper slipped from his lips.

"I'm all yours babe even if we're apart from each other…"

Time flies, messy as the mud on your truck tires

Now I'm missing your smile, hear me out

We could just ride around

And the road not taken looks real good now

And it always leads to you in my hometown

Takemichi embraced Mikey tightly from behind as he accelerated the speed of his bike going somewhere. He had missed this. The warmth and security of his body against him brought him back down to a fleeting memory lane of simpler and happier times in the middle school.

When they're still wide-eyed, reckless young couple who can take on anything that the world threw at them as long they're together.

He missed those times.

But…

He missed Mikey the most.

Takemichi rested his cheek on his back as he let the wind caressed his skin and took away his thoughts that came running inside his head.

Sleep in half the day just for old times' sake

I won't ask you to wait if you don't ask me to stay

So I'll go back to L.A. and the so-called friends

Who'll write books about me, if I ever make it

And wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles I'm fakin'

And the heart I know I'm breakin' is my own

"You look utterly adorable in that Takemichi!" Emma snapped a photo of Takemichi wearing a Santa hat and clothes as he carried the sack of gifts that's meant for the list of children in an orphanage that they're going to visit as part of their school project this year for Christmas.

The others crooned at him like he was some cute, little puppy and it made him blush and smiled awkwardly at them. He still wasn't used to this kind of attention from the other people.

"Oi. Stop bullying my Takemitchy." Mikey's petulant voice and childish, annoyed face greeted his line of sight.

He was also wearing the standard Santa Claus' clothes and that made him more adorable in Takemichi's eyes because of his miniature height and youthful face.

"Hey! Don't be greedy! Your boyfriend is cute! For sure, I'll gain lots of likes in my insta once I posted it." Emma giggled in delight.

Mikey continued pouting at them and Takemichi shook his head in fond exasperation. He approached him and bestowed a quick, fluttering kiss on his lips that made the other surprised briefly and a rosy blush crept on his cheeks. "Now turn that frown into a smile Mikey-kun. We don't want to scare the children at the orphanage this Christmas, do you?" He said with a twinkle on his eyes.

A snapping sound from the phone of Emma both caught their attention and they realized in horror that she captured that quick, stolen moment in her camera.

"Awww… You lovebirds are so cute and adorable! I love it!"

"Emma-chan delete that!"

To leave the warmest bed I've ever known

We could call it even

Even though I'm leavin'

And I'll be yours for the weekend

'Tis the damn season

His warm and inviting lips brushed against his own in a gentle, promising kiss.

Mikey wrapped his arms on his waist gently and pulled him closer to his body to remove the remaining gap between the two of them. "Why'd you took so long to come back? You don't know how much I've fucking counted the days in the calendar just to see you again." He murmured against his lips as he returned his kiss warmly.

"Sorry about that Mikey-kun… I needed to take care of something important back in the future…" Takemichi mumbled hotly against his lips as he buried his hands into his silky, blond locks and kneaded on his scalp.

"Well… you needed to make up to your boyfriend then for making him wait for so long…" Mikey broke their shared kiss briefly and whispered huskily into his ear as his hand had travelled inside his shirt and roamed around his backside to caress it seductively.

A shiver ran along his spine upon hearing the other's words that held a tempting glimpse of what's about to come.

"Of course, Mikey-kun. I'm yours this Christmas and the whole weekend so I'll make it up to you like a good boyfriend I am." He whispered back entrancingly that sent a certain gleam to Mikey's glittering sable orbs.

"Then do your best Takemitchy and pamper your beloved who waited for you for damn so long." He crooned as they both fell back on the bed together.

And throughout the crisp, cold night of Christmas they filled the room with lingering warm touches towards each other and cacophony of sweet moans and cries of pleasure; showing each other how they loved and missed one another.

We could call it even

A satisfied hum slipped past Mitsuya's lips as he finally got to taste the baked cookies that he made, and it turned out satisfactory for him.

"I think Mana and Luna's friends at the school will enjoy eating these for snacks later once they visit us later this afternoon."

"Uh-huh." Draken replied noncommittally as his attention was more focused on the graceful movements of his boyfriend around the kitchen. With just the two of them in his house, it was more silent since there are no running children that always pestered for Mitsuya's attention and comfort of their older brother.

Also…

This was an opportunity that Draken wouldn't pass when given to him.

"Something tells me Ken that with that kind of look on your face, it spells disaster." Mitsuya commented idly as he stared back at his intense gaze directed at him.

"Oh, it's a disaster all right. But I'm pretty damn sure that you don't want to get away from it…" Draken smirked at him and finally approached his direction.

Draken backed him on the countertop as he leaned closer and finally claimed his lips in a warm and captivating kiss.

Mitsuya automatically looped his arms around his neck as he returned his kiss eagerly.

"You don't know how long I've waited to finally do this…" Draken murmured against his lips.

"Oh yeah?" Mitsuya nibbled on his bottom lip languorously.

"Yeah. We can't just have some goddamn alone time together." One of Draken's hand had snaked around his waist and placed him gently on the countertop.

"Hmm… Always been impatient I see… But you get your reward now… Merry Christmas Ken…" He mumbled hotly against his lips as they both let the need of their bodies of being apart from each other engulfed them in a desirous haze and only the breathy moans and sweet, cries of pleasure rang out the kitchen room.
