A/N: I don't own any of the characters except my own.
After everything that had happened the last few days, Hank and Olivia were glad to be getting away for a week. Erin, Olive and the girls had been released from the hospital, so it was the perfect time to be gone. They had even given Alyssa some time off with both Jay and Justin off.
When the plane arrived in Paris, they got off and went to get their luggage before heading to the hotel. They really had no idea what to expect, since the kids had paid for it all. When they arrived at the hotel, they went in and got checked in. Hank was impressed by how much French Olivia knew. He knew none, so she would have to do all the talking for both of them. They were taken up to their room. Neither of them could believe how gorgeous it was. They tipped the Bellhop and looked around.
"This is beautiful."
"It sure is."
They looked out from the terrace and had a view of the Eiffel Tower, which was actually very close to their hotel.
"So amazing!"
"So are you. I can't believe how well you speak French."
"I speak Spanish and Italian too. I can't wait to experience this city with you."
"I can't wait either."
They sat down on the bed and started kissing.
"You ok after everything that happened?"
"Yeah. I just never thought he'd turn on me like that. It's not that I didn't care about him because I did but it was never romantic."
"I understand that."
"I could never understand how Erin and Jay, Kim and Adam or Amanda and Sonny could work together and be together at the same time. Especially Amanda and Sonny, who are the only ones that still work together."
"I don't get it either. You don't know what was going through my head when he was holding that gun to your head."
"I'm sure I do. I chose to be with you and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. That entire time all I wanted was to be in your arms. That's where I feel the safest."
Hank wrapped his arms around Olivia and kissed her. They undressed each other and then they made love before falling asleep for a while.
Several hours later, they woke up.
"I guess we must have been tired."
"We probably were with the time change."
They kissed and then they got up to get dressed. They decided to go walk around. They left their room holding hands and headed over the Eiffel Tower.
"Hank, this is so beautiful."
"It sure is."
"I'm glad I'm experiencing this for the first time with you."
"You wanna go up?"
"Yes."
Olivia took a selfie of them in front of the Eiffel Tower and then they went up. She took a selfie of them up there.
"If we weren't already married, I'd probably propose to you right now."
"You would, huh?"
"Oh, yeah."
"We got engaged about 2 years ago."
"Yeah, we did."
"It seems like we've been together a lot longer than 2 years though."
"Yeah, it does."
They kissed and then they walked around looking at the view. Olivia stood with her arms on the railing, while Hank stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her. Then they laced their fingers together.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Olivia looked and saw a couple of people she recognized. It was Michelle and Rafael.
"Liv!"
"Rafa!"
Olivia hugged Rafael.
"I see you survived Lucie."
"I did. This dad thing isn't so bad after all."
"Is your mom back?"
"No. She'll be gone for a few more weeks. Ed and Maggie have the kids. You doing ok?"
"Yeah. I'm sure you heard what happened."
"I did. That's why I asked. I met the guy and was not impressed. He's pretty full of himself. It's hard to believe that Dickie is his son."
"He always has been like that and yes, Dickie is so much more level headed than his father ever was. He loves those boys so much. I knew Hank would handle things the way he did and I wasn't going to stop him from doing it."
"I admit that I wasn't a fan of Voight's when I first met him but I knew you had feelings for him just like the rest of the squad did. I never liked Tucker much either but he's not such a bad guy once you get to know him. He's good to Kevin and he loves Lucie just as much."
"I agree. He's been a good friend ever since I adopted Noah and Maggie has been so good for him."
"You're right about that and he's been good for her. I still feel so bad that I kept Kevin from her for as long as I did. It was never my intention."
"Lisa has said that she thinks you running into Maggie the way you did was her son's way of bring his mother and son together."
"I don't doubt that. I still miss him though. I've gone to the Memorial to where his name is and I swear I can feel him there sometimes. I still go all the time."
"Lisa says the same thing. Ed has said that they thought about moving to Chicago but after Jenna and the boys came into his life and Kevin came into hers, they didn't just want to up and leave. Now they have the new place. Kevin has said he would understand if they moved."
"He definitely would. He is every bit like his dad. He has such a big heart."
"How's his friend doing?"
"She's doing better. She's taking things one day at a time but he's being as supportive as he can."
"How are things with him and his girlfriend?"
"Great, actually. There's a Valentine's Dance at his school this Friday, which of course we miss but we told Ed and Maggie to take pictures. Melissa's dad is dropping her off at Ed and Maggie's and then Ed is taking them to the dance. Rafael took him shopping for a new suit, while I was in Chicago."
"I told him to call Melissa and find out what color her dress was, so we could match the color of his tie to her dress."
All Michelle had to do was roll her eyes.
"This is why I was hoping for a daughter."
"They can still get their daughters to dress like them. Hank gave me part of my Valentine's gift the night before we left."
Olivia pulled out her phone and showed Rafael and Michelle. Hank had had pictures taken of Noah and Lexie and they were dressed in jeans, button down shirts and leather jackets. In one of the poses they had sunglasses on.
"That is too adorable!"
"I thought so too."
"I can't believe how big she's gotten."
"She's feisty like her mother."
"That I can believe."
Olivia rolled her eyes and gave both Hank and Rafael a dirty look.
"Ha! Ha!"
"Well, it's true."
"I was going to ask you this when I saw you the other day but when did you get Lexie's ears pierced?"
"Just before Christmas."
"I didn't ask Lisa either."
"Charli and Becca's were done at the same time."
"I'll keep that in mind. I know I want to get Lucie's done but I don't want to do it too soon. She doesn't bother them?"
"Not at all. She points at them and says they're pretty."
"That's cute. Where are you two staying?"
"Just down the street, actually. We have a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower."
"That sounds like where we're staying."
"Do you want to have dinner with us?"
"Sure."
They headed down and then they headed back to the hotel. Hank and Olivia checked in with their family and Michelle and Rafael checked in with Ed and Maggie. Then they all met for dinner at the hotel restaurant. They were seated and then they had they had their order taken. Olivia and Michelle ordered for their husbands.
"I'm glad we ended up running into someone we knew."
"So are we. Do you speak French fluently?"
"Not really but I think I know enough to get by. I know more Spanish than anything else. I just wanted to see Paris. How about you?"
"I speak French, Spanish and Italian. This is our Christmas present from Justin and Olive and Erin and Jay."
"That is so sweet. How is everyone?"
"They're doing great. Everyone is home from the hospital. Jay and Justin are both off this week, so we gave our nanny a week off."
"Do you have pictures?"
"Of course I do. What kind of grandma would I be?"
Olivia showed Rafael a picture of the new babies.
"That's Nadia and that's Camille. Here's one of Camille with her big brother."
"What does Daniel think of her so far?"
"He's doing ok with her so far. Justin is planning to spend some time with him after Preschool. Olive didn't want him to be spending time with just Camille on his week off. He's actually taking both boys to one of the museums."
"Of the 4 of them, who's Lexie the closest too?"
"I'm not sure she has a preference but she definitely has both Jay and Justin wrapped around her little finger. We called them before we came down here and they said she was doing ok so far. It used to be so hard for me to leave her."
"Yeah, I know how that goes. I just had my parents when Kevin was a baby, so actually parenting with someone is still new to me. It was a lot harder for me to leave Kevin than it is Lucie. She already has her daddy and Ed wrapped around her little finger. She hasn't spent that much time with my parents. They came to visit for Christmas. We're thinking maybe going down there for Spring Break. We're going to see if Melissa wants to come with us, since her break is the same time as Kevin's."
"We're thinking about going out to New York for a long weekend. I want to meet Billie in person."
"She's adorable. Amanda stopped in with the girls the other day to see Daddy. It's amazing how good Fin is with them."
"He loves the kids. Noah was so happy to see him for a few days. Lexie loves her Uncle Fin."
"I noticed that. Does she have a favorite person?"
"Her favorite person is Dada and it's pretty much been that way since early on."
"Lucie is like that too. Her daddy is always singing to her. He just has to come home and change out of his suit before he holds her though."
"That I believe."
They got their food and continued talking. After dinner, both couples agreed to meet in the morning and do a tour of the city together. They each went back to their respective rooms and got ready for bed. Hank and Olivia then made love and were holding each other afterwards.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"I'm glad we ran into Rafael and Michelle."
"I am too. I kind of would have expected to run into Ed and Maggie here."
"I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way but they did come here for their honeymoon. That wouldn't have been so bad either. The city looks so beautiful at night, doesn't it?"
"Yeah, it does. I forgot they were here for their honeymoon. Where do we want to go for our anniversary this year?"
"Well, we could do Disney again or we could go back to Hawaii again too. Erin and Jay's anniversary is the day before ours."
"Yeah, it is. I enjoy the family vacations."
"Me too. Maybe we could go somewhere different like the Bahamas."
"We can talk to everyone when we get home to see what they think."
"The Bahamas does have water parks."
"That's true. The boys would like that."
"They sure would. I did like doing both Hawaii and Disney with Lisa's family though. The only thing I didn't like about Hawaii was running into Elliot. I just hope he stays out of my life."
"If he doesn't, he'll have to deal with me. I'm surprised he didn't try turning things around by saying I started it just to get off."
"No doubt he'll try and he'll have that smug look on his face just like he always does. He hit his own son. There has been something off with him for a while now. From the time we first ran into him in Hawaii, he's been trying to come between us. Did he really expect me to be single and available if we ever had contact again? Just because he's not single doesn't mean I had to be. He's the one that left and ceased contact for as long as he did. I moved on a long time ago. Like I have said before, I never had romantic feelings for him and it's not my fault that he's obsessed with me now. He also can't accept the fact that I'm friends with Ed now. Ed isn't the man he once was. Neither is Elliot. The Elliot I worked with would have never treated me the way he is now. At one point, I trusted him with my life. Not anymore. He is the only person I wouldn't trust with my life now. I guess it was too much to ask to have us have the same relationship we had before he just up and left SVU. I don't need him. I know who my real friends are. I knew you'd handle things the way you did though. I'm just sorry I compared you to him when we first met."
"Don't be. You know I'm trying to be a better person for you and our kids but I reach my breaking point sometimes. Any threats to my family I take seriously."
"Oh, I know that and I'm glad you do."
They kissed and then they fell asleep in each other's arms. The next morning, they woke up and took a shower before they ordered Room Service for breakfast. After breakfast, they got dressed and met Rafael and Michelle in the lobby.
"Morning."
"Morning."
They left and went on their tour of the city. They ended up being gone most of the day and then once they came back, they had dinner and spent some time at the hotel pool. Each couple spent a quiet Valentine's Day with just each other. The rest of their time in Paris seemed to go quickly. When they checked out of the hotel, they headed to the airport together.
"It's been a great week. I hate to be going back but I did miss our family."
"Yeah, I know. I don't want to go back to work."
"I never do. We checked in with the kids but that was it."
"Ed and Maggie said Lucie was good and so was Kevin. I figured he wouldn't have given them any problems. Josh and Jordan like having him around anyway. Here's the picture Maggie sent."
"Wow! He looks so grown up."
"I know. He is growing up so fast. He'll be off to college before we know it."
"Does he have any idea as to where he wants to go?"
"Not yet. He's not really sure what he wants to do yet. He really likes Chicago, so honestly, I could see Northwestern being a possibility. He wants to come to Chicago again this summer. Melissa is going to go stay with Ashley again too, so he wants to go when she's there, so the 4 of them can all hang out. When I was there this last time I told Sarah and Greg that Trevor can come stay with us anytime. We spent New Year's at our house in the Hamptons and we invited Melissa's family to join us as well. We had quite a few people, including my squad and their families, which also included Ed and Maggie. You and your family are welcome to come out any time. Just let us know."
"We will and hopefully we'll see you when we come to New York to meet Baby Carisi."
"I hope so too."
They got checked in, said their goodbyes and went to their respective gates. A couple hours later, the flights took off for both New York and Chicago."
