The siren hummed in the background and faraway voices rocked through her ears. Everything had seemed to be going fine, but the lights and the bleak hospital ceiling said otherwise. A fray of blond hair spurred over her face calling her name, but the voice seemed warped, as if she was being pulled farther and farther underwater.
Air was forced into her lungs and the constant calling of her name reeked havoc on her mind,
"Chihro!" A lone voice called "Chihiro, stay with me. You need to stay conscious and hang in there."
Hang onto what? She was certainly fine, nothing was wrong. She still had to be driving to her house in the country, the one her parents just brought. The one by the sea that was going to provide her an escape from this reality for a little while, so she could get back to her old self. What was her old self exactly? What it the One that was always scared and a crybaby, because she would rather be that then the unwavering, emotionless worker she had become now. Chihiro just tried picturing the house in he he picture her parents had sent her, but the staggering hospital lights raged back into her line of sight.
"I'm still...going to...that house..aren't I?" She mumbled quietly to herself.
Chihiro turned her head sideways and saw waves of green and white outfits fluttering through the hospital. The hospital to her always seemed like a gigantic network working for a single goal, to keep its patients alive, kind of like how the body worked together to keep itself running.
But among that sea of green and white, stood what she thought, was a different shade that didn't belong. It was a green, no an emerald shade, but why did it seem to calm and soothe her? It wasn't someone she knew, was it? The person turned towards her and the emerald color atop their head flew just for a moment, but dissipated behind a wall that blocked Chihiro's view.
A pain ruptured through her head. Why...why did that color have to torture her, even now?
Long time no see, people of fanfiction. What a mighty few months I have had, but I hope to get back into writing again as I feel I have some of my creative side back. Drawing has given that back to me, along with my foot surgery giving me a little more time to sit aside and draw and write. Getting screws in a foot isn't the best thing ever haha
