Preface: What Happened Before

In ancient times, long before your three times great grandparents were even thought of, in the times when muggles knew about witches and wizards, four friends came together to build a school for others like them. These friends were Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, Godric Gryffindor, and Helga Hufflepuff. They lived in harmony with all others for many years and their school was open to any with the desire to learn.

Each of the four friends, though human in appearance, weren't as they seemed. Rowena was a High Elf and a Seer, Godric was a Werelion, Helga was a Hydra cursed into human form, and Salazar was a rare creature known as a True Born Werewolf, which could maintain their human mind when transformed most times, in exchange for being forced to transform every night. The only times True Born's were not in control was when the moon shown larger than usual, the supermoon.

It was during one of these lunar events that, unaware of the danger Salazar posed at this time, Rowena, Godric, and Helga decided to go on a moonlit stroll with each other. As you might expect, they were attacked. When Salazar awoke the next morning and found that he had harmed those his inner wolf considered pack he informed the others that he would have to kill himself as was True Born law. However, upon hearing this, they begged him not too so he explained that the only other option was exile. They all agreed that exile was better than dead because if exiled there was still a chance they could see one another again and so the next day he was exiled from the school.

He decided after that to travel the world. In his travels he met many people and adopted, though not through blood, a set of twins named Percival and Andrea Draven. His life was ok for a while...until the twins, overcome by a dark spell cast by a man whom had once quarreled with Salazar, were driven to insanity. The two of them slit Salazar's throat, killing him, and went their separate ways.

Salazar, upon arriving in the office of Death, was told by the being that his friends, once they too perished, were set to be reborn. Death said that it was up to Salazar, a natural Necromancer who had long since stopped practicing the craft, not wanting it o have a negative effect on his children, whether or not he would join his pack in being reborn. Salazar said yes.

A/N: I lost my zip drive that had all my stories on it and decided to rewrite this again because of the lost progress. Please read and review, sorry for any mistakes made.
