[In the Purple sky, Outside the Floating Dragon Temple. ]
In the clouds as the sun set as it burned in a bright purple. As the world was going to End.
Spyro the Legendary purple dragon and Cynder a dark Dragoness flew together.
They spiraled into combat. Their target was a large Purple dragon. His name was Malefor and he was the Dark Master.
The one ending the world!
"Are you with me…?" Spyro asked Cynder slowly, with the feeling of dread escaping his voice. He held a brave face, however both of the young dragons were both tired and worn out from their emotional journey together.
"I'm with you…" Cynder answered him, slowly but to Spyro her voice sounded sweet, and sincere.
Malefor held his arms crossed, a purple flame spilled out of his mouth as he knew that this was their final hour of war.
"Hmm... " Malefor let out slowly. He was very muscular compared to Spyro . He was a lot larger and older than Spyro and Cynder.
"Let's do this!" Spyro and Cynder spiral around each other, allowing their wings to dance near each other as they catch wind straight towards Malefor.
Spyroand Cynder let loose their battle cry.
"HAAAAA!" Spyro and Cynder launched themselves towards Malefor. Their claws was ready for battle.
Malefor stood his ground and was prepared for anything the two young dragons would throw at them.
"... I'm Ready!" The dark master warned confidently.
The two smash against the larger dragon's guard. The three embraced their impact for a moment.
Almost in sync the dragons prepared for battle in one tight motion. The three swung at each other.
Malefor let out a large growl as he swung a hard hook at Cynder.
Cynder rolls out of the way in the form of a barrel roll.
"HAAAAH!" Spyro flys by Malefor and lands a solid punch to Malefor's face. Spyro then performs a mid-air flips away from Malefor.
Cynder does her own flip from the side of Malefor. She gracefully barrels into a side flip and hooks her fist into the side of Malefor's head.
She drives her wings away from Malefor right when he tried to reach her.
"HAAAH!" Spyro and Cynder quickly follow up with a fist from each of them. *
Malefor just takes it.
However, he felt his warm up was over. Already had the two dragons greatly annoyed him with their youth and speed. Malefor let out long lengthy, but quiet growl.
"... Okay…" Malefor then spun around, coiling up his wings and limbs inward, then in a mighty burst, he swung everything he had outward.
The power he released in that simple stretch caught Spyro and Cynder off guard long enough for Malefor to see an opportunity to attack.
The three dragons swing at each other hard. Spyro and Cynder weren't as strong as Malefor so they were at the defense.
"RAARGH! HAAH! RAAAAH!" Malefor shouted as he punched Spyro and Cynder, blow after blow.
After Malefor swung another of his attacks, Spyro boosted upward and used a spin kick that went the side of Malefor's head.
"Tssh!" Malefor dodged swiftly to the left.
Cynder took this moment to head butt Malefor in the face while he wasn't looking.
"RAAAAH!... Grrrr!" Malefor grew angry by the blind attack. He then took a moment to swing at the young dragons a few more times. It was then he got fed up. He inhaled a dark purple fire from his elemental power.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
Spyro started flapping his wings quickly. Spyro felt the heat from Malefor's flaming breath and he knew he had to move. He grabbed Cynder by her waist and guided her through her flight. He flew to the edge of Malefor's range of his fire breath. Malefor stopped spitting out fire as soon as Spyro and Cynder were out of range.
Spyro and Cynder exchange glances. They nod and they start flying straight for Malefor again.
With his hand emitting an aura. Meteors of flaming purple rock start to rise up near Malefor.
Malefor slowly let out a small, menacing laugh "Ahaha…"
"Watch those rocks!" Spyro shouted towards Cynder quickly.
"I see them!" Cynder and Spyro prepared themselves.
"Hmph!" Malefor swings down his arm and the meteorites fly at the young dragons.
"Look out!" Spyro and Cynder both fly close together, corresponding with each other's movements.
The dragons soon found themselves flying into a temple that Malefor was hiding out at during the war. Once before the Dragon Temple was high into the air. Floating without gravity.
But, now Spyro and Cynder were flying with the temple as it plummets into a Volcano.
The Volcano was Malefor's way to reach the planet's core to destroy the entire planet.
Spyro and Cynder look up to see Malefor chasing after him.
"Move!" Spyro and Cynder was quick to roll backwards. *
"Hmm hmm hmm…" Malefor uses his wings to float just above the falling Dragon Temple. Spyro and Cynder did not realize they were doing the same.
"Look at where this pathetic Dragon Temple falls ... Falling into this Volcano and it will disappear along with the rest of this planet... You're already too late Spyro…" Malefor bellowed in his own destruction.
Spyro felt an uneasy feeling in his heart. He was right. Malefor had already set off the Volcano.
It was going to tear the planet apart. The Temple was just a bonus to dig under Spyro's skin.
"I'm not giving up Malefor!" Spyro warned Malefor in the form of a promise.
"And neither shall I! You can't control Me... Or anyone else any longer!" Cynder promised as well, speaking from her own heart.
Malefor reached out in his hands begging for praise. "I won't need to... There won't be anyone left on this planet after I'm done…"
"It is not going to end this WAY!" Spyro shouted as he got ready to fight again, then so did Cynder.
"Welcome to the end of the world…" Malefor announced very coldly with his dark and booming voice.
"IT WON'T END HERE!" Spyro and Cynder shouts as they lunge at Malefor. Their combination of power pushed Malefor backward. The two then proceeded to attack Malefor trying to make any kind of damage.
The two dragons grunted and growled as they continued their attack against the larger dragon. Malefor was quick to block their attacks.
Malefor then sidesteps and uses his large arm to swat Spyro away.
"Kraak!?" Spyro tumbled, but through his momentum he stumbled to his feet.
Spyro noticed that Cynder was already hit and she too was sent flying near Spyro. "Gaaaaaah!"
Cynder lands on her side. She then rolls over quickly and stands back up, next to Spyro.
"... He's... Pretty strong…" Cynder complained quietly.
Spyro stares at Malefor determined.
"…... But our Fury... Is stronger... Let's use it…" Spyro suggested with the remainder of his confidence.
Understanding. Cynder nods, becoming more determined herself.
"Right…"
Both Spyro and Cynder burst right towards him. Inhaling a very powerful Convexity beam within lungs.
"Take THIS!"
The two lazor Malefor with a purple beam of pure light.
Malefor realized the danger a second too late. He only had enough time to throw his arms up.
"ERRRRR!"
However, the beams weren't enough. Malefor walked through it and they reached out for Spyro and Cynder.
Spyro and Cynder flapped their wings and bursted upwards, missing Malefor's grip. They then swoop down and land swiftly in front of Malefor.
Malefor turned, ready to strike again.
Spyro jumps to the side of the wall. He kicks off of it and flies straight for Malefor.
Malefor swats his large claw at him. However, Spyro quickly weaves himself lower to miss it. Malefor growls in frustration.
Cynder was flying at Malefor from his side.
Malefor swings at her with his other arm.
Cynder flee upwards high above Malefor.
Spyro flys by Cynder and he hugs Cynder.
"Let's give it all we GOT!" Spyro declares
"Alright!"
Spyro and Cynder charge their Fury powers together. The two become a ball of flames and they dive hard at Malefor.
Malefor looks up too late.
"What!?"
CRAAASH!
The three dragons crash through the Temple and they descend the Volcano even further. The three had reached a large cavern that was lightened up by the planet's core.
The two young tired dragons hovers a distance away from the Dark Master. *
Malefor however, didn't seem as tired.
The three take a moment to catch their breaths...
The two young dragons breathe in their last attack.
Ready to give the last amount of Fury they have.
"GRRRRR!" Malefor charges his own blast ready to retaliate.
Their Fury Clashes.
Spyro and Cynder were having trouble keeping up their exhausted powers.
"... Just... Hold... On...!"
Spyro's and Cynder's combined powers soon created a large ripple in power that produced a shock wave that sent Malefor flying.
"WHAAAAT!?" It blasted him far. Malefor rolled across an oddly colored rocky core of the planet.
"... Grr... Rrrr... " Malefor took this chance to shake the pain off. "I'm not done yet…"
Malefor started to Limp forward.
In a burst of a bright white light, something threw out of the core. A group of ghostly dragons started flying around Malefor.
Malefor looked around in a panic.
"W... What is this!?" Malefor demanded to know.
The dragons swarmed around him and started to grab Malefor, with no signs of letting him go.
"L-Let go of me! What are you doing…!?" Malefor cried out as he was very frightened, when the dragons started to absorb Malefor in the core of the planet.
"N... N... NOOOOOOOOOO!"
After a moment. The young dragons had to catch their breaths. Spyro and Cynder tiredly descend to the core.
The two land on it.
Cynder looked down, her eyes filled with regret.
"…. Spyro, I'm sorry... I'm so so Sorry…" Cynder cried out to him, her heart heavy with her past.
Spyro shook his head slightly.
"Don't be... It's over now…" Spyro calmly told the dark dragoness.
Cynder looked around, feeling lost.
The planet was slowly tearing itself into pieces.
"So this is it...?" Cynder asked the legendary dragon with a shakey voice.
Spyro looked around for a moment. Neither dragon wanted things to end this way. Spyro looked down, trying to think.
It was then he heard his teacher's voice.
The red fire dragon Ignitus that gave him guidance at a young age. He might have recently passed away...
But yet... Spyro could still hear his wise words... Even in this grim moment.
"Spyro,... when a dragon dies, he does not truly leave this world... His spirit lives on,... binding itself with nature,... offering hope for the future…"
Spyro opened his eyes, now determined to take the words to heart.
Spyro turned to Cynder quickly.
"I know what I need to do... Just get out of here Cynder!" Spyro demanded. Spyro wanted Cynder to flee to safety.
Cynder felt concerned for Spyro. She saw that look in Spyro's eyes. Brave, and selfless. She knew Spyro wasn't going to leave.
Cynder stepped closer.
"Spyro, No! You don't have to do anything. Let's just go!"
Spyro stepped closer to Cynder.
"... And go Where, Cynder? There'll be nothing left! The world is breaking apart... "
Spyro slowly looks down.
"….. But I think I can stop it... I think I'm meant to…'
Cynder stared into his eyes, knowing that his words are pure. The two stared into each other's eyes.
She softly whispers to him. "... Then I'm with you…"
Spyro slowly takes one step back.
Spyro looked at Cynder hopefully, before hovering above the ground to concentrate the last of his strength.
Much like Ignitus's sacrifice before, his body glowed white.
As Spyro was gathering his strength he looked down at Cynder.
….. Maybe for the last time.
Cynder was watching him with admiration. Her eyes have never seen a more amazing dragon before.
She knew exactly what she was feeling. She closed her eyes, as tears began to surface
"….. I love you…"
When Spyro heard these words, his eyes widened.
He reached out for her….
Cynder reached out for him….
Everything around them faded into a bright white.
[Avalar field's, outside the Volcano]
Spyro and Cynder bodies smoking and their bodies was still steaming from their battle with Malefor.
Soon one by one, Warfang Citizens started to gather around them.
An innocent mole, a citizen of Warfang, was the first to make his approach to them.
"They... They're alive!"
A Cheetah walks by the mole and kneels by Spyro.
"They….. also look hurt…"
A cheetah in a red cloak with a hood over his head walks through the crowd.
On his right shoulder was a falcon that occasionally journeyed with this Cheetah and over his back was a bow.
This cheetah's name was Hunter. He was from a tribe that lived in Avalar. Hunter was good friends with Spyro and Cynder, they had come a long way together, during the war.
"Let's take them to Warfang and to the infirmary. Hopefully…. When they wake up we can get some answers…." Hunter ordered his flow cheetah and the moles that were crowding the two injured dragons.
Quickly! Brothers! We must help this Hero!" A cheetah shouts to his people as he waves more Cheetahs over.
A mole slowly walked up towards Cynder. He looked her over. For whatever reason, he was frightened of her.
"But... What about her?" The mole nervously asked as he was referring to Cynder, the scarier looking dragon.
Some moles walk through the crowd and lift the dragons onto two stretchers. A cheetah stands near the me and he rested his paw on the moles shoulder.
"Bring her with... She too is hurt…"
The Citizens of Warfang and Avalar took Spyro and Cynder back inside the city of Warfang.
They took them to a very Royal hospital.
They took them away from the ruins of the Dragon Temple, a place Spyro and Cynder called home, and was destroyed.
[Temple of Warfang]
Spyro woke up. His eyes flickering. H
He felt rested...
Be felt ….too rested…
He felt like he had been sleeping forever. His body felt uneasy and heavy as he sat up, realizing he was in a nice bed, with a scarlet blanket.
Everything was fuzzy to him, but soon enough it eventually cleared up.
As he rubbed his eyes as his memories were flooding in his head. He was remembering everything that happened, including his time with Cynder.
Those memories were beginning to become to much. He didn't know what happened at the end.
Why was he still alive…?
Did he save the planet….?
What happened to….
"CYNDER!?" Spyro yelped out loud as he jumped out of bed and ran out of the room.
Spyro started to feel the blood run through his head.
"... C-Cynder...? Where am I...? Warfang...?" Spyro hits the wall. He nearly ran into the a few moles along the way. He took another breath. He was still feeling hurt, and uneasy.
Spyro continued to look around in a panic.
A mole slowly noticed that the young purple dragon looked very upset, and he noticed he looked pale. The me saw that Spyro was having a small panic attack.
"Young Master? Are you alright...?" The mole asked Spyro, concerned.
Spyro's gaze never met with the me's. Spyro kept looking around.
"... I'm... Fine? I think…" Spyro told him, not even believing himself.
"Young Master... you should go back to bed, you still need to recover…." The mole insisted. The mole tried to reach for Spyro, but that caused him to panic and back into the wall hard. A few pieces of art dropped, and hit the tiled floor.
"N-No... just- just tell me where Cynder is! I need to see her!" A few tears seem to fall from his eyes. Spyro had not realized that he was so stressed he began to cry.
The mole limped a little closer, examining Spyro closely.
"Hmmmm... if I show you her will you go back to bed?" The mole slowly asked him. Spyro didn't answer at first. He looked up and down the walls, still in a panic.
" Alright…. just-... Just please take me to her." Spyro pleaded with a very shaky voice. The mole nods slowly. He then gestures Spyroto follow.
The mole helps Spyro down the hall into a room that was near the end of the hall.
The mole slowly opened the door. Spyro slowly peered inside. It was a very empty room. There was only one bed in the room.
He looked carefully at the blankets and he saw a recognizable black dragoness underneath the soft blankets. Spyro could see half of her body had scars and she had bandages around her body.
She was lying in the bed with her eyes closed. Spyro was shocked to see her like this.
"I-Is she…"
He couldn't even think of how to ask about her current condition. It was still dark, and he couldn't see if she was okay or not. He feared the worst.
"No, she isn't dying…. She's just injured…"
After hearing this, Spyro paused. He was almost too scared to approach her.
….. But his feelings for her pushed him forward.
Spyro walked over to Cynder and peered down at her. As he was checking over injuries, he didn't even realize that a a small tear fell down his face and onto the sheets of her bed.
The mole stayed near the door.
"She will be alright, Sir... but, you need to rest…." The mole continues to insist.
Spyro nodded slowly but was reluctant to leave Cynder. It took a moment, but he started to walk away from her bed.
Spyro stops again. He slowly turned around. He peers back towards Cynder's bed.
The mole watched Spyro quietly.
Spyro leans on the frame of the doorway, and he just rests his body there.
He was watching her peacefully sleep. He also felt guilty for everything that had happened to her.
"Come now…" The Mole pats Spyro's neck and insists he'd follow. "You need your rest... She was awake earlier asking for you... But you both need some major recovery time…"
Spyro sighed and started to follow the mole.
"What... d-did she say...?" Spyro slowly asked.
"She just asked for you... Then some water... Then she went to bed…"The Mole turned and started walking away. Spyro noticed that the mole had an obvious limp. "... Like you should probably do... Get some rest my friend…"
"Y-Yeah…"
Spyro watched the mole walk slowly down the hall. Spyro watched him until the mole had finally left the area. Spyro looked down slowly. He was still upset by everything.
He then turned around and slowly went back towards Cynder's room. Spyro was finally starting to feel his own injuries begin to bother him.
Spyro slowly made his way back to Cynder's room. He slowly leans his shoulder on Cynder's door frame.
He just kept watching over Cynder. He stayed there an hour. Thinking about past events.
Once he did go back to his room, Spyro limped into the bed and pulled he slowly covered his blanket over his body.
He tried to fall asleep but millions of thoughts clouded his mind
It was mostly about Cynder and what happened.
He sighed, closed his eyes and tried to calm his nerves.
It took awhile, but he finally let sleep overtake him.
[In the morning]
Spyro's eyes slowly opened. This time his body didn't feel so tested.
However, he gazed into a pair of emerald eyes, watching over him. Cynder was lying in the same bed as him. Watching him sleep.
"... H-... Hey…" Spyro quietly whispered.
"... We're alive…" Cynder whispered slowly.
Spyro smiled slowly. His heart started to feel softer when he saw that Cynder was just fine.
"Yes … We are"
Spyro wrapped his arms around her embracing her in a hug. They both smiled and the two were sloo blushing a little bit but they didn't seem to notice.
"Urm... " Cynder was so shy that she almost wanted to shy away Spyro's arm.
However, her feelings also wanted her to hug back.
Not knowing how to truly respond to Spyro, she just laid there. She curled her tail a little with nervousness.
"...Hunter... Was here earlier... While you were asleep…" Cynder slowly informed Spyro. She shyly looked away.
This caused Spyro's head to lift a little.
" Oh...really? How is he?"
That was when someone else responded before Cynder could.
"His usual self…..All grumpy and always telling me to shut up…."
Spyro and Cynder both saw a golden glow in the doorway. Spyro felt himself smile while Cynder's eyes widened. They both knew who it was.
Her shy feelings came too fast for Cynder. She freaked and had ro quickly wrestle out of Spyro's arms.
She felt embarrassed to see the golden dragon fly, she knew as Spyro's adopted brother, Sparxs.
Spyro sat up with joy.
"Sparxs! Boy! Am I glad to see you!" Spyro yelped out with pure joy.
Sparxs was Spyros adopted brother and best friend. He has a charm about him, making himself believe he was funny, but his jokes lead him to mostly annoy others
Sparxs smiled at Spyro as be slowly flutters into the room.
"Hey Fatty,... " Sparxs greeted his brother as he gave Cynder a smug smile. "Hey, Spikey."
"Hey Sparx…" Cynder greeted the small dragonfly, letting out a small groan.
"What were you two doing in here anyways?' Sparxs carelessly asked.
They both sorta blushed as they exchanged nervous glances, but Sparx was too busy examining the room to even notice it.
Sparxs then suddenly points at suddenly at Cynder with a small frown.
"Spyro, was she trying to attack you or something?" Sparxs asked a little too suddenly. Spyro couldn't tell if he was serious or not. With Sparxs you couldn't really tell.
Spyro rolled his eyes.
"Sparxs... You know she isn't going to hurt me, she isn't what she used to be….." Spyro tried to explain to the timid dragonfly.
Sparxs crossed his arms. He turned his head.
"Yeah, you know. Whatever! ... Just to let you know…. the big dragons wanted to speak to you…"
Spyro glanced at Cynder once before turning his attention back to Sparxs.
"The Guardian's wanted to speak to us...?"
Sparxs fluttered a little closer, he flung his arms up in amazement.
"Yeah dude! We nearly died! We're all curious on how you saved us…"
Spyro stared at Sparxs, trying to ponder on how he was going yo explain Spyro's and Cynder's story.
This led Spyro to think about Ignitus... The fire Guardian that sacrificed himself to help Spyro and Cynder save the world.
"….. Right…" Spyro let out as he slowly rubbed the back of his head. Spyro felt Cynder put a hand on his shoulder, letting him know she knew what he was thinking about.
"Don't forget..It…. It wasn't your fault Spyro." Cynder tried to whisper to Spyro.
"What wasn't his fault?" Sparxs asked, overhearing her.
Spyro didn't say anything for a second. Spyro slowly lifted up his head.
"I'll tell you later with the guardians…"
Spyro let's Cynder know he was going to be okay by letting her arm off his shoulder.
He sighed as he looked back at Sparxs.
"Where is the Guardian's?" Spyro slowly asked Sparxs. Sparxs slowly crossed his arms. "Was Hunter going to take me to them? Is that why he was here?"
"Yeah…. but he wanted to bring you both to them and well…. since you both are up now... You two should probably go ahead and find them." Sparxs slowly suggested during his explanation.
Spyro nodded and climbed off the bed. Cynder did the same but looked worried. Which Spyro noticed. Spyro circles back to her, causing Sparxs to raise an eyebrow.
"You okay? Cynder?" Spyro asked, concerned for her well-being. Spyro saw how worried she looked. Cynder just sort of looked away.
"Y-Yeah it's just …..I'm afraid people still won't forgive me…" Cybder expressed her fears, trying to be quiet about them.
Sparxs gave Cynder a look of hate. "You got that right spikey."
Spyro sighed. He didn't look back at his brother at first. He felt like Sparxs was trying to bully her, because she was different.
"Sparx... Can you give us some time alone for a sec?" Spyro asked, trying to not get angry. Sparxs waved his arms in disagreement.
"Heck no! Especially not with h-"
Soon Sparxs felt a large gust of wind and he was blown away from the gust of wind created by Cynder.
"WAAAA-AAH!"
Sparxs hits the wall and he slides down it, lacking air.
Sparx quickly tries to shake it off as he flies away from the door.
"..Dragons…"
After a moment when they thought Sparxs had finally left them with their piece of mind, Spyro turned to Cynder.
"Thanks…" Spyro slowly sat down next to Cynder." ….. A-And... I don't think... You should be afraid... You helped me save the world! I saw you...! ... You were…"
Spyro looked away, shyly.
"…..Amazing…"
Cynder looked at him for a moment. She felt the doubt within her heart.
"R-Really you really mean t-that?
Spyro smiled slowly. He looked her in the eyes
"Of course I do! I couldn't ask for a better person to save the world with... You're great! And soon enough… The whole world will know…."
Cynder was shocked by his words. She smiled a bit. However, her doubts started to resurface quickly.
Cynder looked down, still very doubtful.
"Ho- How can you be so sure….?" Cynder shakes her head in a sad way. "Even your own brother…. still doesn't accept me…."
Spyro smiled sheepishly as he got up. He started walking towards the door that led to the hall.
"You're really going to take his opinion seriously….?" Spyro asked her in the midst of a laugh. "I mean c'mon! He's Sparxs….!"
Cynder looked away, even though Spyro was probably right. She still felt doubt in her heart.
Spyro started to walk out the door and towards the where he thought he could find the Guardians.
Sparx, who was leaning on a nearby wall, saw this. He snickered as his brother walked by.
"Hey! Purple Boy the Guardians Chamber is that way!
Sparxs pointed towards the other end of the hall. This caused even Cynder to laugh a little. She soon joined his side as Spyro turned around, a little embarrassed.
"W-Well, how was I supposed to know that!?" Spyro mumbles as he leads the way to the end of the hall.
[Guardian's Chamber]
Spyro and Cynder were both walking down the long hall that led to the chamber. Sparxs was following behind them.
Spyro and Cynder were still sore, and beaten. They were clinging to each other, hip to hip.
This helped them walk straight, taking less of a strain to walk.
"One... Step at a time... Right?" Cynder said as she held an eye closed to endure the pain.
Spyro winced in pain for a second and he had to stop for a moment before he kept going.
"Y-You ok?" Cynder asked, concerned for Spyro. She noticed that he was in alot more pain than her.
"Yeah... I'm fine…" He reassured her as he grunted in pain.
They reached a big door.
"Alright we are here….." Sparxs revealed to them.
Spyro and Cynder slowly push the door open. They saw that the Guardians were waiting on them.
The two young dragons painfully help each other into the room.
When they finally reach them, Spyro and Cynder sat down in front of the three guardians.
Sparxs fluttered by and he sat down on Spyros head waiting for the guardians to say something.
Volteer, a large yellow dragon, representing Electricity stepped forward, being the first one to approach them…
"…. Spyro, Cynder what happened? What happened to Ignitus…? and how are we all still alive!?" Spyro was about to speak, but Volteer continued anyway. "I mean, not that I was worried, but-
Cyril the blue and white dragon stepped near Volteer, roughly shoving him aside. Cyril was the guardian that represented the Ice element.
Volteer felt as if Cyril was about to freeze his lips shut. Volteer had an odd way of rambling on.
"Volteer stop your babbling and let them speak…!" Cyril warned Volteer. Volteer slowly backed up a little.
Spyro took a deep breath before he could gain the courage to speak up.
"You do not have to fear... The war... Is over…" Spyro began before he found himself staring into space for a moment, before looking down. "We made it to the Volcano... And we stopped Malefor... But… uh….. But Ignitus...
Cynder took a step closer to Spyro. She muzzled her muzzle under his chin. She lifted up his head.
Spyro looked at Cynder for a moment, but his head returned to his state of despair, as he looked towards the floor once more
"….. He... He sacrificed himself... To help us get past the wall of fire…" Spyro told them, trying to said brave. However, it was obvious by the sound of Spyro's voice that his words were true…. and there was no easy way to tell them.
All the guardians including Hunter were shocked and had no idea what to say. The green dragon that was older than Cyril and Volteer, slowly made his way forward. He was the Earth guardian, representing the Earth element.
"I … can't believe it... after everything he's been through... I never thought…" Terrador slowly began. His emotions started to fill his heart.
Cyril put a hand on Terrador's shoulder. Terrador turned to him slowly.
"We will most definitely make an... announcement about this…"
Spyro started to feel his own guilt overwhelm him.
"I... I should have done more... But in the end... " Spyro started to say, before the weight of his sadness made him look down, feeling depressed. "...He was the one... Who saved us…"
Terrador took a deep breath. He tried to lift up his chin, even through his heavy heart
"Do not feel like his death put you through so much pain... He wouldn't want it to be so…" Terrador td Spyro slowly. Everyone could see begin to look depressed.
"…..I know…. but I feel like I could have done more. I could have done something to save him I just feel... ….like I failed in some way." Spyro continued. Terrador slowly stepped closer. Spyro couldn't bring himself to look up.
"Young dragon…. Please understand that right now we must be thankful at your age and Cynder's age…. No one expected you two defeat Malefor." Terrador explained to Spyro. Spyro almost looked even more upset, as he listened to Terrador.
"Terrador is right…." Cyril agreed.
Spyro did try to feel a little better, but he still didn't let his feelings disappear. He couldn't forgive himself.
Volteer shimmied his head in a shaky kind of way.
"In Fact! the war is over... This calls for a celebration!" Volteer announced with his voice sounding very high in spirit. Cyril walked by his fellow guardian's rubbing his chin.
"Hmm... Should we have the moles prepare a small little festival before we put ourselves to work rebuilding the city?" Cyril pondered out loud.
"Yes…. We must take a small break…. and relax…. and celebrate that this war is finally over…" Terrador said, agreeing with both of them.
"Finally no more drama and fighting….." Sparxs stated as he stretches his tiny arms. He then smiled at his brother. "Hey... Maybe we should see our parents again, Spyro."
Spyro looked up at Sparxs, his eyes still glassy from thinking about Ignitus.
"Hehe,... Yeah, we probably should…." Spyro agreed with his brother. Cynder stood up a little.
"Will other people be at this…. festival…." Cynder asked, almost looking nervous. Terrador tilted his head, in a bit of thought.
"I'm not exactly sure... Many people left the city in order to survive... But we'll celebrate with everyone who witnessed those... Key moments…" Answered Terrador. That was when Cyril gave a small nod
"We'll still try to have a lot of fun... Turn a new leaf on this historic day…" Promised Cyril. That was when Spyro noticed Cynder grew a small, shy smile. She then saw her approach him.
Cynder walks by Spyro. She then sneaks a whisper into his ear.
"Come on... It could be fun... You and me...?"
Without saying too much more, Cynder walks past Spyro and Sparxs and heads towards the bedrooms.
Spyro and Sparx watch her walk away. Cynder seemed a little more happier by the way she was walking.
Sparxs turned to Spyro, peering at his expression with a hint of worry
"Wait... What did she say to you...!?"
Spyro: *Spyro started to turn a little pink around his cheeks.
"... She said... It could be…" Spyro trailed off as he began to walk away.
".. Fun…"
