[WarFang Streets]

Spyro, Cynder, and Sparxs were walking back to the Warfang Temple.

'So... The book had a lot of info about Ignitus and the other Guardians... But not really any details on all those dragons that helped found it…" Spyro thought out loud as he led the way, walking close with Cynder beside him.

Cynder was staring up at the nice blue sky.

"...I'm... not going to let it stress me out... It was fun…" Cynder reassured Spyro. She then turned to Spyro. "Learning more about Warfang,...'

"So... We didn't find anything... So this was a pointless trip?" Sparxs asked as he was trying to keep up with Spyro's and Cynder's pace. He didn't exactly sound too thrilled to hear about their lack of discovery.

Spyro waved the book around.

"At least it comes with a map…" Spyro said with a smile.

"Yeah…" Cynder agreed.

Spyro slowly lowered the book. This was when the trio found themselves in a silence.

Despite his optimism, Spyro actually felt bad that they couldn't find anything about their parents.

"Hmm…"

Spyro then had an idea, Spyro turned quickly and tapped Cynder's shoulder.

"Tag!"

Sparxs found himself letting out a small laugh "...He sucks at this game…"

"T-Tag...?" Cynder asked as felt her shoulder for a second, then she saw Spyro taking off down the streets. "What does tag mean!?"

"Ahahahaha!" Spyro expands his wings and starts flying upwards. "Try to catch me, Cynder!"

Cynder didn't fully get it but flapped her wings and chased after Spyro anyways. The chase ended up outside of the streets in a small Park with a grassy field.

Spyro went easy on Cynder. She caught up to him pretty quickly. Cynder reached out. When she didn't catch him right away, she let out a small giggle.

"Gotcha!"

Cynder felt her claws latch onto him. Causing them to descend pretty quickly.

"Yep! You got me!" Spyro laughed out, confirming her small victory.

Cynder let out a cute laugh.

"…I find this silly... but I'll play along…" She told the purple dragon.

The two land on the grassy field of the park.

"So what's next…" Cynder asked as she tilted her head.

"...Well... normally in this game... I have to chase you next…" Spyro slowly explained the rules of tag.

Cynder rolled her eyes, thiugh she kept her smile.

"Oh… How boring!"

Spyro chuckled and shrugged.

"Then what do you want to do...?"

"Hmmm…"

Cynder then starts to blush, but she grows a big, shy smile.

"Okay! … How about... this time... if you catch me... I'll…" Cynder walks over to Spyro and whispers in his ear."...I'll let you kiss me... Anyway you want…"

"...A... Any…"

Cynder then used her wings to shove Spyro away.

Spyro rolls across the grass.

"WAAA-AAA-AAA-AAAH!"

"TAG!" Cynder takes off. Fast.

"Hey! No fair! Haha!" Spyro laughed as he lifted himself off his back.

Spyro jumped up with a small kick in his step and started chasing her*

"You're too slow, Purple boy!"

She then used her shadow element to disappear into the ground.

"Hey! No elements! That's cheating!" Spyro laughed though his panting breath.

'Didn't say anything about elements!"

Cynder used her shadow element to jump from wall to wall. It helped her get to the air much faster than Spyro.

Spyro laughed confidently.

"Fine! You're on!"

Spyro started to naturally wall jump.

Cynder flipped on top of a roof and started running hard, across the rooftop.

Cynder then got to a ledge and jumped off and using her wind element majestically land on the grass and kept on running

"Come on slowpoke!"

Spyro got to the ledge and used his ice element to slide down to the bottom.

"Who you calling slow poke!?" Spyro shot back as he was gaining on her*

Cynder smiled happily. She was looking ahead.

"You totally ain't gonna win!" She taunted. Trying to make Spyro push himself.

Spyro gave out a confident laugh.

"You got me motivated! I GONNA get that kiss from you!" Spyro promised.

"Oh Yeah?" Cynder asked as she was beginning to blush harder.

"YEAH!"

"A kiss like that you got to earn Lizard boy!" Cynder warned him before she jumped forward and kicked off a tree to turn sharply.

Spyro quickly uses his earth element to create a small rocky pillar to kick from to catch up to Cynder.

"Heh... Now your taking this seriously!" She comments.

"You can bet my tail on it!"

Cynder laughed.

"Hmph!" Spyro used his earth element to turn into a ball and start rolling after Cynder.

"Oh ho! Now look who's using his elements now!" Cynder started to run faster.

Spyro started to get closer and closer.

"I'm... gonna... catch... YOU!"

Cynder was watching him closely as she ran. Then she looked ahead.

"OH NO!"

Cynder saw that they were about to run into a brick wall. Cymder then burst into the air and flew upwards along the wall.

"Watch out!"

"Wait…. WHA-"

Spyro's boulder smashed into pieces when he crashed right into it.

Cynder landed on top of the building's roof and peered down, very worried.

"SPYRO! Are you OKAY!? She cried down below.

Spyro stumbled as he tried to get up, but he just felt really dizzy.

"Y-Yeah... Think so…" Spyro shakes his head hard. "BAAAH!"

Spyro shakes his head hard.

"I'M NOT GIVING UP!" Spyro used his fire element to rocket into the air at top speed.

Cynder chuckled.

"Oh dear!" Cynder turned and started to sprint across the rooftop.

Spyro landed on the roof and was chasing her, with his full speed.

"Hehe…" Cynder used her shadow magic to disappear under into the building.

Spyro stopped to stare at the roof below him.

"Cynder….?"

Cynder appeared behind him and patted his head and started running away.

"Haha!' She lets herself jump off the building.

"Why you!" Spyro jumps off after her.

Spyro started to chase Cynder down the main street of Warfang

"I guess that means I tagged you twice!"

Spyro was gaining on her once again.

"I'm still going to win…. that Kiss…'

Cynder started to blush. She felt her heart want to give in.

"...It's more than just a kiss…"

"Huh?" Spyro catches up to her again. He lets out an unamused laugh. "Stop teasing me!"

Cynder felt herself shyly giggle

"Then catch me already!"

"As you wish!

Without the two realizing it, they had somehow ended up on one of the trails that led through the outside of Avalar.

They started to head towards a beach which gave Spyro an idea.

"Come on!" Cynder landed on the ground and started to run on the beach. Spyro did the same*

"I'm gonna get you!" He started to use his earth element to kick up some sand.

Spyro started to feel like he was accidentally lifting himself up a bit. He stood on his hind legs. He was surfing the sand of the beach as it carried him across the beach.

"... Eheh…"

Cynder turned around to see Spyro heading right for her.

" ... Ahah... Ahahaha... Oh no!"

Spyro was smiling with confidence.

"Oooooh Cynder!"

Cynder jumped, turning on her shadow ability.

"Oh! NO YOU DON'T! *Spyro caught her hip with one arm. Spyro caught her right before she could dive into the ground. Spyro had caught her by her hips and he pulled her near

WOAH! *Cynder felt herself get pulled into Spyro's arm. She found herself standing next to her with the sand under her feet.

Cynder shyly let an "... Um…"

Spyro and Cynder continued to surf along the sand of the beach.

" ... Tag…"

The two giggled as they surfed along the beach. Their laughter could be heard from a distance.

"Ok... ok... you win... haha…" Spyro and Cynder chuckled and Spyro stopped surfing on the sand, letting Cynder down slowly.

Cynder took two steps forward, before she turned around and shyly smiled at Spyro.

"... So... I guess you won... you know... what that means…" Cynder felt nervous to admit. Cynded had never felt so light.

…..And she had never had so much fun.

Spyro and Cynder both blushed.

"Yea... Heh…"

After a while, the two sit in the sand. Watching the sun go down.

"So... you're serious... you're going to let me... kiss you…" Spyro asked her as he felt himself begin to have butterflies.

Cynder used her paw to play with the sand nervously..

"... That was the deal…" She reminded him. She was actually quite excited that Spyro had won their bet.

She truly wanted him to kiss her.

"Anyway I want...?"

Cynder blushed as she turned to him, leaning closer.

"... Anyway you want…"

Spyro scooted closer. He then proceeded to hook her arm around her waist

Cynder started to get goosebumps.

Spyro started to lean in close, prepared to kiss.

The two started to get really close.

"HEEEEY! GUYS! YOUR HERE!? WOW!"

Cynder started to look disappointed, then she started to get frustrated by the disappointment.

"Really... Its them?" Cynder grumbled under her breath.

Spyro started to look around, letting go of her waist.

"What? Who?" Spyro quickly asked.

"Take a wild guess…" She offered, feeling her disappointment stir in her emotions.

"SPYRO!" Ember came out of nowhere and tackles Spyro into the sand.

"PLAK!"

Flame runs up to them as well.

"Wow... What of the odds! Here near the lake on the same day!?" Flame sounded astounded to discover

"Ember...!? Can you get off me please?" Spyro pleaded.

"Come on you like it" Ember assumed.

"No! I don't!"

Cynder growled and pushed Ember off him hard. Ember felt herself land on her side as her legs shot upwards.

"Ow." Ember slowly rolled over and she got up slowly, dusting herself off as she sat up.

"You don't gotta be so ruff ya know,..." She complains.

Spyro got up dusting himself off as well.

'…..Well... She didn't mean it…" Spyro tried to tell Ember.

Cynder gave him a look.

Spyro knew Cynder meant it.

"Eheheh... A-Anyways... What's up guys?" Spyro asked changing the subject.

"We were taking a walk and I was going to... swim... at this lake with Ember." Flame explained, almost shying away from including Ember in his explanation.

"Yeah! …. You wanna swim with me, Spyro?" Ember asked Spyro, giving him a quick wink.

"Uhhh... No... Thanks, I'm good…" Spyro declined quickly.

"Wow! Look at the time! I'm tired! What do you know...?" Cynder started to lie, excusing herself from this disappointing interruption. "...Bad timing, huh? Maybe next time guys…"

Cynder started to walk off.

"Eheheheh... I better go... with her?" Spyro suggested, excusing himself as well. Spyro started to follow Cynder.

"Hey, Ember!" Flame cooed as Flame's tail started to wag. "I'll swim with you!"

Ember perked her head up in a stuck up way closing her eyes.

"Moments passed... Now I want to eat dinner…" Ember told him, almost sounding demanding.

"Uh…" Flame's eyes blinked. "Okay...? What... do you want to eat…"

Ember started to walk away.

"…. I don't care…'

"Oh…"

As the four dragons started on their way home, they didn't know there was a dragon watching them.

Necron pulled out his compass. He flicks the latch and opens it.

…..He pulls it to his ear.

There was a tick noise. Then Necron heard slight breathing.

" ... Your report…" The shadowy voice of Shade appeared through the other end of the compass.

"...I found him…" Necron reported.

"Anything... strange...?" Shade slowly asked.

Necron was watching Spyro and Cynder walk alongside each other. He noticed Cynder's color.

"….. Maybe…"

Necron puts away his compass and starts to follow them home.

Eventually Spyro and Cynder somehow lose Flame and Ember.

….. To Nercon this was a good thing.

Necron saw that there was a fork in the road and he flew to the other side and started walking.

"Man that Ember just won't leave you alone…" Cynder complained again.

"Yeah…" Spyro agreed quietly. He was actually quite disappointed to have missed his opportunity to finally kiss Cynder passionately.

Necron looked around and saw there was a fork in the road approaching. Necron slowly comes with an idea to get closer without making himself too suspicious.

Necron dashed into the nearby bushes to get ahead of Spyro and Cynder, to meet them at the fork.

Necron then started to walk towards them and pretended to not pay any attention.

When Spyro and Cynder got to the beginning of a fork in the road.

Necron bumped into them and used his compass to take pictures of them.

"Oh! I'm sorry, are you ok?" Necron quickly asked, trying to sound surprised.

Spyro suddenly felt awkward.

"O-Oh sorry... It was my bad…" Spyro quickly apologized.

Cynder tried to smile, but she was still angry from Ember's actions.

"Yeah... Sorry... We were... a little distracted…" Cynder apologized, using Ember as her excuse.

Necron smiles and waves it off.

"….Say no more…" Nercon tells them.

"...Hm... Spyro started to examine him further. "... I don't think we met before... I'm Spyro…"

Spyro held out his hand.

Unsure, he slowly grabs his hand.

"I'm... Necron…"

Cynder started to feel unsafe. She wasn't sure why.

Necron looked at Cynder.

"….. And what might your name be?" Necron asked Cynder. Cynder seemed to feel odd by the way he had asked her.

Cynder stepped close behind Spyro.

"Cynder...?" Spyro felt Cynder almost hide fully behind Spyro.

Necron closed his compass.

"….Wise... Don't trust strangers…" Nercon comments, unsurprised by her reaction.

"Don't feel bad... Cynder... is like that... but she's a really nice person…" Spyro nervously explained to Necron.

"….I don't doubt it…" Nercon responded.

"What's that... in your hands...?" Cynder hesitated to ask.

"….Oh… Just a compass. I'm trying to get to Warfang. Do you know the way?" Necron slowly told them, weaving together a proper excuse.

"Yes! ...Here, we can show you..." Spyro offered as he started leading the way. Cynder tried to stay beside Spyro.

"So... You're not from Warfang...?" Spyro asked the mysterious dragon, turning his head back to see him.

Necron made sure he was behind Spyro and Cynder. Making Cynder even more nervous.

" ... No.."

Cynder leaned onto Spyro for safety.

"Then... Where are you from...?" Dpyro continued to question.

"… I... can't say…"

Cynder had a shaky voice. Something about this dragon made her really uneasy.

"...W...Why not?" Cynder asks him.

"… I... can't say... because I'm... from the wild…" Necron told him, knowing that, his answer was no a complete lie.

"Oh... is it tough?" Spyro asked, trying to sooth the conversation a bit.

"Sometimes it is... but I've got enough food and shelter" Necron explained abit further.

"Oh... That's good…"

Cynder squeezed Spyros' arm.

Spyro stroked Cynder's head as she leaned on his shoulder trying to calm her.

"Hey... Necron can I ask you something?" Spyro asked, almost feeling a bit nervous. He was unsure on why he felt uneasy.

"What is it?" Necrom asked as he slowly looked away.

"What type of dragon are you, I'm just wondering?" Spyro asked. He had never met a dragon quite like Necron.

"Oh... I'm a poison dragon." Necron answered honestly.

Spyro's eyes opened slowly.

".. P-Poison?... H-How...?" Spyro stuttered when he questioned his answer.

I'm not sure…" Necron tells Spyro with a small shrug. "How are you a purple dragon?"

Spyro started to feel nervous. He turned and kept his eyes forward

"... Guess... I was just born that way…"

"Well there's your answer…"

Cynder looked really shocked. Spyro felt her grip on Spyro get tighter.

"... T-That's kinda cool... I also have the poison element…" Cynder informed him honestly.

"Really? Cool…" Necron looks away again, feeling uneasy.

Then they finally arrived at the entrance to Warfang.

Spyro stopped in front of Necron. He turned to Necron.

"Okay, we're here-"

Necron was already walking away from them. Leaving without caring to say goodbye.

"... I don't trust him…" Quickly told Spyro.

"...I don't either… but…. You can't just... Assume he's a bad guy... Because he has a strange element…" Spyro expressed, still feeling an odd feeling in his gut.

When Necron couldn't see Spyro or Cynder, he went into an alleyway to call Shade.

"...I'm here Shade"

"….Really? Have you been keeping an eye on Spyro?" Shade asked quickly.

"Yes... I have someone else named Cynder. Here I'll send you a photo of both of them…" Nercon reported to him. He looks at the few buttons within his compass.

After a few moments, Necron sends the photos.

There was a pause. Then a few bleeps and click from Shades end.

"Hmm... The purple dragon looks trained... He's obviously been in battle…" Shade began to analyze.

"He doesn't seem so bad... I don't think he'll-"

"Who's this...? Is this the girl you called Cynder?" Shade questions, interrupting Necron.

"Yes sir, she was with-"

"Wait a moment…" There was a dropping sound. Shade left the call.

"Shade? Shade!..." Nercon looks at the phone for a moment. "Tsk…"

Necron waits for Shade to come back.

There was silence for a brief moment.

Shade finally picks back up.

"... Find out everything you can about... Cynder…" Shade ordered coldly.

"But why sir!? What about the purple drago-." Necron tried to decline.

"Just... Do it…" Shade demanded in anger.

Necron sighs deeply. The poison dragon just did not feel like fighting with Shade at that current moment.

He knew Shade wasn't the dragon to reason with.

He knew that Shade was going to keep stalking Spyro and Cynder.

"….Alright…"

Shade hangs up.

"This is why you're a terrible leader…" Necron mumbles, frustrated.

Necron decided to head to the main temple to ask about Cynder.

"Maybe the Guardian can help me…"
