"Don't forget an extra toothbrush. Do you have plenty of sweaters? Oh, and your favorite set of pajamas."

"I'm leaving those here for you." Kuon said placing his hands over hers before she could set the pajamas in the suitcase. "Take pictures of yourself wearing them for me."

She blushed but nodded as she hugged the pajamas to her chest.

"I suppose that's it then. You've packed everything you'll need and you're ready to go." She said closing her eyes against the tears.

"Not everything I need." He said lifting her chin. "If I could, I would take my heart with me but alas you have to stay here."

She smiled rising up on her tip toes to kiss his lips. "I'll miss you."

He sighed and pulled her into a warm embrace.

"How will I ever survive without my princess?" he asked closing his eyes and breathing in her scent.

She hugged him back wishing they could stop time in this moment. The day they had been dreading and anticipating was finally here. It was here, and she was so unprepared that she had insisted on unpacking everything he had already packed so that she could check he had everything.

"You'll be taking my heart with you if that helps."

"It does." He said leaning down to kiss her.

"Ok, if you two don't quit with the mushy lovey dovey shit we're not going to help you pack." Kanae interrupted even as Chiori and Kana were watching them intensely.

"Why do we need their help again?" Kuon asked looking at Kijima and Koga who were pawing through his things.

"Moral support man." Kijima said opening another drawer.

"I think you guys just wanted to dig in my stuff." Kuon said. They had all volunteered to come over and help him pack to go to America.

"Mind explaining the Kyoko shrine you have going on over here." Koga said pointing into Kuon's closet.

"I have a Kyoko shrine in my closet. That seems pretty self-explanatory to me." Kuon said refusing to be embarrassed about the things he had collected over the years that made him think of her.

"Dude, Kyoko-chan I think you have a stalker." Koga said picking up the photo album of magazine clippings Kuon had put together.

"That's ok." Kyoko said with a shrug. "I have at least five times the magazine clippings of him."

"You two are weird." Koga said pulling a couple of outfits from Kyoko's closet.

"I'm surprised we haven't found anything kinky yet." Kana said sounding more disappointed than surprised.

Kyoko blushed as she took the clothes Koga had pulled out and began folding them to fit into her suitcase. She was going to stay with Kanae and Chiori for the first week Kuon was away. It would be some much needed girl time and she had grown too used to living with someone to suddenly be left home alone for so long.

"Maybe it's all under the bed." Kijima wondered as he approached the bed.

"There's nothing under there." Kuon said rolling his eyes as Kijima fell to the floor to look under the bed.

"Damn it's spotless." Kijima grumbled.

"Really? I was sure that I helped Ren-san pick out a vibrator for Kyoko-chan's birthday." Kana said looking to Kuon for an explanation.

"Hey, are we ever going to watch this movie or are you losers just going to have an orgy in Kyoko-chan's room all night?" Shinichi called out from the living room.

"Isn't it both their room?" Yuusei asked.

"Please everything in this place is so obviously her property. Even Ren-san has a big giant property of Kyoko stamped on his forehead." Shinichi said.

"He's not wrong." Kuon said with a shrug.

"Alright, all packed." Kyoko declared once she zipped up her suitcase.

"So is the vibrator in the guest room?" Chiori asked.

"I don't wanna know about that." Koga said throwing a glare at Kuon.

"It's nobody's business." Kuon said raising his hands and motioning for everyone to head towards the door. "Thanks for the help. Now everyone out of our room."

"Seriously creepy man." Koga said pointing to the closet before leaving the room.

"What was in there?" Chiori asked.

"Weird things like fairy trinkets, which it's Kyoko so." Koga said and Chiori nodded understanding exactly what he meant. "There was a scrap of fabric that looks like what her apron is made out of. At least three of those dolls she's always making. A Mio one and a Momiji one and one of this strange punk rock chick. I think they're all supposed to be Kyoko though. A broken watch. A pair of Louboutin shoes. They looked brand new."

Chiori knew what the shoes were, but she wasn't going to tell Koga. She had watched Kyoko blush and fidget while telling her and Kanae about wearing those shoes during sex.

"Come on Yashiro-san made us popcorn and brought us pizza for our movie night, but all you guys want to do is snoop in their stuff." Yuusei said biting into a slice of pizza.

"Is it a movie night if it's in the middle of the day?" Kanae asked taking a seat beside Hikaru. He was usually the quietest and therefore easiest to sit next to.

Kana shrugged taking a seat beside Yuusei who was hoarding the pizza. "It's the only time we were all available."

"Don't you two even think about making out during the movie." Koga said as he saw Kuon pulling Kyoko into his lap on the couch.

"Yeah, if you start kissing, I'm leaving." Kanae said flipping her hair over her shoulder.

"Oh, you guys, let them have their fun." Kijima said spreading his legs out under the coffee table as he sat against the couch on the floor.

"They have a little too much fun if you ask me." Yashiro said emerging from the kitchen with a tray of drinks.

"What a nice big brother." Kijima teased as Yashiro set their drinks on the table.

"Thanks Yashiro." Kuon said taking his water.

"And what a boring little brother." Kijima commented taking his glass of whiskey.

"It's the middle of the day Hidehito." Kuon said relinquishing his water to Kyoko who happily took a sip.

"It's a party Ren."

"Shush, the movie is starting." Hikaru said as Koga turned out the lights and took a seat.

Twenty minutes into the movie Koga glared at Kuon as Kyoko squirmed on top of him.

"Would you two knock it off?" Koga hissed.

"What she's laughing." Kuon chuckled.

"Sorry Koga, it was funny and Co, er, Ren teased me about my laugh."

"What's so funny about her laugh?" Koga hissed in reply. "And why does she have to sit in your lap? There's plenty of room beside you."

"Shut up we're trying to watch the movie." Kanae hissed loudly so Koga could hear.

"Koga-san, leave the lovebirds alone. They're not doing anything." Kana said.

"Hey Kyoko-chan, why do you call Ren, Corn?" Kijima asked propping his head on his arms folded on the couch near Kuon's legs.

"That's not something the rest of us men want to hear Kijima-san." Shinichi said.

"As if we don't already feel inadequate next to him." Yuusei added.

"Don't jump to conclusions, it could have to do with his cooking skills." Hikaru said blushing.

They all turned expectant eyes towards Kyoko's face illuminated in the glow from the television. She blushed and covered her face squirming in Kuon's lap.

"Alright, alright, don't tease her. It's just an inside joke between the two of us about a word she mispronounced in English once." Kuon said holding her still.

"Are you sure? That sounds pretty suspicious to me." Chiori said and Yuusei crossed his arms nodding in agreement.

"It sounds like an outright lie to me." Koga said glaring at the two.

"Will you all be quiet?" Kanae grumbled.

"I have my suspicions as well. It has to be that his penis is so big like a healthy ear of corn." Kana said unabashedly. When everyone turned to look at her, she shrugged saying, "You were all thinking it."

"I wasn't because I don't care. I came over to watch a movie not snoop into their sex life."

"How can you not care. This is Tsuruga Ren we have her and Kyoko has the inside scoop of how long and thick his…"

"Chiori please!" Kyoko interrupted her friend.

"I thought the three of them already knew." Kuon whispered to her.

"I didn't draw them a picture or anything. That detail is for me only and I don't need my friends drooling over you."

"Oh, please, no one would drool over him." Kanae said taking the remote and rewinding the movie. "Now shut up all of you. I'm trying to study this scene so I can practice my comedic delivery later for my upcoming role."

There was silence as everyone paused while the actors on screen performed.

"All I'm saying is that he has to be big. I mean look at him." Chiori said the moment the scene changed. Kanae rolled her eyes with a sigh.

"Height doesn't have anything to do with it. I've seen plenty of big dicks on short stocky men. I have also known tall muscular men with small dicks." Kana said.

"This conversation is really uncomfortable for me." Yashiro said wishing he hadn't agreed to spend time with them.

"Me too, lets stop talking." Kuon said trying to focus on the movie.

"Come on, I'll tell everyone how big I am if you do." Kijima said.

"I don't think anyone cares about yours Kijima-san." Kyoko said in a cruelly cold.

Kijima fell silent with a pout and Koga let out a loud chortle slapping Kijima on the back.

"I don't know why you're laughing Koga-san; nobody seems to care about yours either." Came the same cold voice.

"Ouch." Koga said rubbing his chest as though she had punched him. "Right where it hurts."

"I think we should all be quiet before Kyoko murders us." Hikaru said her emotionless tone sending shivers down his spine.

Sulking Kijima turned his attention to the tv. Everyone else quieted down and watched the movie in relative peace. Kuon smirked and kissed Kyoko's temple.

Solemnly they all stood up and turned the lights back on. The movie was over, and it was time for Kuon to leave. They all stretched out and began to clean up as Kuon and Kyoko walked over to the front door. The Ishibashi brought his suitcases out and walked past them to pack his car for him. He had to go to the airport without her. She couldn't say goodbye to him at the gate or do any of the sappy things she had seen in romance movies. She hated that she couldn't watch his plane fly away. If they were normal people living normal lives she could. Then again if they were normal then he wouldn't be leaving her.

"Hey, smile for me." He said trying his best to lift the corners of his mouth up. "I won't be gone forever and you're still coming to see me on my birthday. I get three days with you. This time no interruptions. I'll lock our phones in the closet."

She giggled and smushed her face against his chest in a tight hug. He moaned and hugged her back burying his face in her neck and breathing in her scent.

"I used to roll my eyes at my parents whenever they got all mushy because they had to go to work in different states or countries. Now I understand. It's like severing a limb. Everything in me is saying that this is wrong, and I shouldn't do it." He confessed in a whisper as he nuzzled her ear.

"You have to go." She said but her arms tightened around him. "Corn, you have to be the strong one here because I can't let you go. I can't watch you leave."

"Shh. I'm not leaving. I'll call them right now and say that they need to find someone else for the role." He said kissing up the side of her face.

"You can't do that."

"I can."

"No, Corn, you can't." She said sucking in a deep breath and taking a step back. He let her go his hands caressing down her arms until only their fingers were touching.

"I'll miss you, princess." He said and bowed down on one knee to kiss her knuckles.

"Prince Corn, promise you'll write to me from the battlefield." She said with a regal aura.

"Everyday my sweet princess. I'll use my fairy magic to send you a missive in the morning when I wake for battle and again before I bed down. Don't you worry about me I'll defeat the evil demons and win the war for the fairy kingdom."

She smiled at their silly game. He kissed her fingertips.

"Don't you worry. I'll come back to you." he said before standing up and dropping her hands. The contact only made it harder for him to leave. The sad look in her eyes made him want to wrap her in his arms and never let go.

"I love you, Corn." She said before swiftly turning on her heel. "Please go before I…" his arms wrapped around her, and his lips pressed to her head for the briefest most tender moment and then he was gone.

She couldn't hold back the rush of emotions and fell to her knees hugging herself as she cried. It would be okay, she knew that. He was only going for work and then he would come back to her. There was no reason for her to feel like she couldn't breathe. But he had been right, it felt like severing a limb. It would have been less painful if she had cut off her own arm. She let herself wallow in self pity for a moment then stood up and wiped her face. She had to get to work and keep moving forward. She had her own dreams to chase, and she couldn't do that if she was on the floor crying over a boy.

With her resolve set to become a star who could stand by, or even above, Tsuruga Ren. She stood up and saw Koga and Kijima pulled their heads back. They walked away pretending they hadn't been spying.

"You, ok?" Kanae asked as Kyoko reentered the room. Kanae had Kyoko's suitcase in her hand, and they were all preparing to leave.

"Yes, I'm alright." Kyoko assured everyone.

Kuon walked out to his car where Hikaru, Shinichi, and Yuusei were waiting. He did his best not to look miserable as they patted him on the back.

"Look after my girl, won't you?" He asked Hikaru.

"Why only him?" Shinichi asked with a playful pout.

"Because only Hikaru-niisan is trustworthy." Yuusei said dully.

"We'll all keep her safe. You know we like her more than you." Hikaru teased and Kuon surprised him by giving him a short hug.

It was weird for Kuon to have people he would miss. He knew that could always text and email them, but it wouldn't be the same. There wouldn't be nights when he could call Hikaru to ask for his sage calming advise. He couldn't just go out for drinks with them on a whim or be invited to karaoke after work. He hadn't realized how comfortable he had gotten to constantly having people around that he could trust.

"Don't be a stranger Tsuruga." Shinichi said as Kuon got into his car where Yashiro was already sitting in the driver's seat.

"Yeah, make sure to at least text us every night. You know Shinichi has a huge crush on you and needs constant reassurance that you still love him." Yuusei joked.

"Tsuruga-san, for Kyoko-chan's sake and ours make sure you take care of yourself." Hikaru said, "Please remember to eat properly."

Kuon hung his head trying not to laugh. Did everyone have to remind him that he needed to avoid his bad habits?

"Goodbye." The three musicians said as they shut the door. They all waved to him watching the car drive away.
