When I received the phone call from my grandparents that my mother had relapsed again. I couldn't move quick enough I was over it, over the game of chance, over the empty promises. Blinking a few times at the red light my eyes were sore begging for rest.

"Want me to drive?" Turning my head to Julian I shook my head no "Okay so um Charming?"

Nodding "Charming, where dad grew up. Only seem right, plus grams and gramps are here" I shrugged "You mad? You could have stayed or went to college...I wouldn't be mad, you've sacrificed enough"

Julian shook his head "Been 7 years Lilly, It's good just to have you home even if it's because of Susan" Looking in the mirror at our twin younger sisters "They'll be fine" Julian nodded "Put them to work in that café and they will love you forever"

"So Overheard you got a call back from the mechanics"

"Ah yeah Teller-Morrow, interview on Friday" he smiled. If my little brother was one thing it was a motor head. Bikes, cars if it reeved he was in "Hear back from the hospital?"

I smirked "Yeah start on Monday"

"Chief?"

"They want me for Chief of Trauma" I smiled back at Julian.

"Fuck congrats sis that's great" he smacked my arm "Just got to make sure those girls get to enter comps and cook or they will lose their shit"

Nodding in agreement we rode in silence the only sound was the soft snores from the girls. Julian had finally fell asleep beside me. My mind ran wild a new town, new people. I haven't been a civilian in 7 years.

Welcome to charming

Didn't take long before I was on Main Street. Looking at all the shops I finally found the café, it was right across an ice cream store. Smiling I continued to follow the GPS until I was finally at my grandparents' house.

"hey guys we're here" shaking Julian shoulder he woke up "girls wake up" I watched the twins stir awake "grab your overnight bags will unpack the truck tomorrow"

Julian was the first to step out of the car, following in suit it wasn't long before the door opened and out stumbled grandpa in his pajamas. Smiling he enveloped us one by one in hugs "use are going to love it here" he whispered in my ear "let's get use inside"

Grandpa arms were still around me when he walked us inside the smell of food waffled in the house "once I said use we're here she started cooking" turning into the kitchen grandma was cooking away.

"hey grams" the twins called out.

"oh Addison, Alexis" she enveloped her in a hug "oh use two are going to have these boys drooling look at you both"

" thanks grandma" they said in union.

"oh and look at this handsome man, look just like your daddy" she smiled grabbing Julian cheeks kissing them.

Before I knew she stared at me her eyes watering a little but refusing to let them fall, wasn't long before I felt her hug it was hard and like she would never let me go "You're safe now" I remember the first time I heard her say those words to me I was in a hospital bed.

Smiling softly she finally pulled back "okay food yes, bet use are hungry" checking my watch it was 3am. Taking a seat in the kitchen grandpa to my left and Julian to my right. I watched grandma fuss over the food no one really talking at the table.

"so um their a few competition next week girls" the girls heads snapped up looking at me "More than happy to drive use down"

"gramps yes please the be great would use come" Addy asked looking at Julian and I.

"Pending on work" I nodded "but maybe if use can find out the date I can ask for the day off in advance"

"yeah let us know" Julian agreed.

From second grams put food on the table and cups of tea we have been silently eating. Wasn't long before we turned in. I wanted to sleep my body screamed for it but here I was staring at the ceiling.

...

6am and I finally decided enough was enough, grabbing pair of tights, joggers and loose shirt I was out the door. Music pounding in my ear as I ran. My heart began to beat rapidly as I picked up the pace, I hated this I hate that I had to drain my body completely just to close my eyes. The sound of motorbikes rode pass me, turning my head I watched as they sped past Pulling into an automotive shop.

Looking up at the sign teller-morrow this was the place Julian had an interview with. Smirking he would love it. Running past I found the cemetery, the hospital and finally Main Street. Checking my watch it was still early. Jogging pass the shops I examined them until I found gramps store.

walking inside the smell of cookies and coffee overdosing my senses "One minute" gramps called out under the counter, leaning over the counter I smirked as I watched him try and tie his shoe laces.

"need a hand old man?"

"Ha-ha so funny" watched gramps huffed as he sat up "didn't sleep?"

"Nope, need a hand?" I asked

"go up to the studio wash up. Uniform up there you can put on" nodding I headed up to the studio and noticed it was fully furnished. Jumping in the shower the hot water welcomed very much. Once washed I found the uniforms and put it on I realised it was in my size, good fit.

Frowning I headed down the stairs to see grandpa had gotten some more customers. Quickly taking orders, people loved there coffee. Finally draining out the crowd, I heard a song come on over the juke box, turning on my heels to my grandfather he was already smiling and dancing.

Rolling my eye I took the hand he offered me and began dancing with him, I couldn't help but let the laugh out that bubbled within me, laughing he twirled me around and pointed to the ground.

"Didn't know you had a dance club up in here" stopping dead I turned to find a group of people smiling at us.

"hey Pete" the room was filled with Leather kutts "just the normal order"

"no problem take a seat Clay" clay nodded staring at me "nice moves" smiling politely I went over to the coffee station.

"I got it baby" gramps smiled taking over the coffee station. I watched him make the orders "Jackson move your eyes or lose them" turning my head I was face to face with blue eyed blond hair beauty "I mean it Teller"

Jackson smirked at me putting his hand up in surrender "who the new Girl?" clay asked from the booth. I watched grandpa rock on his feet his eyebrows crunched up.

"Gramps?" I whispered grabbing the gun under the counter.

"no...Jesus guys this is my granddaughter Lillian"

Clay stood staring at me "Daz kid?"

"Yeah they're all here, moved to town last night. come collect your coffees dip shits"

"come on Pete don't be like that, I'm Jax by the way if you ever need a tour around town, dance partner or anything give me a call" I watched him hand over a napkin with his number on it. Really? "We better go nice to meet you Lillian Williamson"

"ah likewise" I finally spoke Jax gave me a wink before leaving the café "They know dad?"

"Piney, Clay, Chibs, Otto know your old man. Jax godparents are your mum and dad"

"well that's shit" I nodded thinking nothing worse than having Susan as a godmother, she's a shit mother. After the awkward encounter I threw the napkin in the bin and got back to work, I didn't need boys in my life. I wanted to ask more questions about my father but it was hard because people that knew him just shut me out.

Wasn't long before it was home time, Grandpa drove in silence the whole time, nothing but the soft sound of the radio singing back at us. Finally home I got out stretching my back the crack sound brought a smile to my face.

"Go get some rest you've been up for hours Lillian" gramps smiled patting my back. Nodding I headed upstairs my body finally drained enough. Laying down on my bed I realised my bags on the floor, smiling softly I finally surrendered letting my eyes close.
