It's been a week since the dock incident. When Ruby and the others arrived, Jaune saw this as an opportunity to leave them be and have their happy reunion. However, once Blake arrived at Beacon after her interrogation with Ozpin, she confronted Jaune about his fight with the White Fang member and Torchwick. Jaune told Blake to keep it a secret as he knew no one would believe her.
It was the semester break, and Jaune was at Beacon fountain waiting for Pyrrha. This isn't Jaune's first date. No, Jaune had gone on many dates with Arslan before he moved to Vale. But, this was his first date with Pyrrha. He was as nervous as the first time he went on a date with Arslan.
Jaune had been waiting for ten minutes, but the ten minutes were worth waiting for when Pyrrha arrived. In front of him was Pyrrha wearing a lovely red dress that made her beauty pop. She was gorgeous. Jaune couldn't take his eyes away from her. She was walking toward him, and the closer she got, the more beautiful she got in Jaune's eyes. She was perfect.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Jaune," Pyrrha said. She looked at Jaune with a smile on her face. "I was a bit nervous as it's our first date. Nora had to make me calm down before I passed out".
"No problem," Jaune said. He was still admiring Pyrrha's beauty. "Those ten minutes were worth waiting for. You don't have anything to worry about".
"So?" Pyrrha said. She tried her best to look beautiful today. Pyrrha was hoping that Jaune would like it. "What do you think?".
"Heavenly…" Jaune said honestly. He didn't have any other words to describe her. "You simply look heavenly".
"T-Thank you," Pyrrha stuttered. When she looked Jaune in the eye, she started blushing as she could see Jaune admiring her. "Y-You look amazing as well".
"Well?" Jaune asked. He then brought out an arm for her to hold. "Shall we head to our first venue?".
"Yeah…" Pyrrha nodded. She then took Jaune's arm, and they started walking. This whole time, Pyrrha was blushing.
The first venue Pyrrha and Jaune went to is a movie theatre in Vale. They watched some cheesy romantic movie. Jaune liked the movie. On the other hand, Pyrrha was not even paying attention to the movie. She would glance at Jaune every other second and look at his hands.
Jaune would see this and hope that Pyrrha would gain the courage and hold his hand. It never happened. So, he decided to be the one to take the lead and hold Pyrrha's hand. Her face lit up. Pyrrha was happy and enjoyed the rest of the movies with a massive blush on her face.
"So?" Pyrrha asked. Throughout the whole movie, Pyrrha could see that Jaune was enjoying it. But she decided to ask anyway. "What did you think of the movie?".
"It was fascinating," Jaune replied. "The way the emotion was conveyed throughout the scenes was amazing. I've never watched such a movie before, though it was cheesy at times".
"I agree," Pyrrha said. She was having a great time. Pyrrha didn't want it to end too quickly and hoped they could have more fun together. "Where are we heading to next?".
"How about the arcade?" Jaune said. He wanted to see if they had some games similar to Mistral and it would be fun to play a game with Pyrrha. "I heard they have some of the best arcade games in this area".
"That sounds fun!" Pyrrha said. "I've never been to an arcade before".
"Alright then…Shall we?" Jaune said. He brought his arm out once more for Pyrrha to hold, and she took it. But not without giggling at how gentlemanly Jaune was acting. "I'm glad you're having fun".
"That should be my sentence," Pyrrha said. "I was the one that planned the date, but I had to ask you where we should be heading next".
"Well, you have nothing to worry about," Jaune said. "I happen to be enjoying my time with you".
Once Jaune and Pyrrha arrived at the arcade, they played multiple games. Jaune didn't know that Pyrrha could be quite a competitive person, even when it came to games.
When they played Kung Fu Ninja Slayer Ultimate Death Battle, Jaune beat Pyrrha without any issue. Pyrrha would then ask for another round. When she beat Jaune, his competitive side came out, and they started to compete in different games.
"I have three wins and three losses…." Pyrrha declared. She didn't want to lose. She wanted to show Jaune that she was a better gamer than him. "Next game decides the winner".
"Alright then. What about a bet?" Jaune said. He wanted to know what it feels like to kiss Pyrrha. Jaune wanted to see if it would be different from kissing Arslan. "If I win the next game, I get to kiss you on the lips".
"Okay," Pyrrha said with a blush. She's never kissed anyone before. But she was able to compose herself. "But what do I get if I win?".
"Whatever you want," Jaune replied. He wanted to win this competition, but Jaune didn't care if he didn't. "So? Are you up for it?".
"Hmm…" Pyrrha was thinking. She was hoping that Jaune would pick something that she was good at so that she could win. "What should we compete on?".
"Why don't you pick what we should play," Jaune said. He didn't mind whichever game they played. Win or lose, it wouldn't matter since Jaune did have fun on this date. Jaune looked at Pyrrha, who was looking around to pick something, and out of everything, she chose that. So, he whispered to himself with a smile. "This should be interesting".
"What about that?" Pyrrha said she was pointing at a big machine with the words, 'Dance-Dance Revolution'. "It looks interesting".
"Sure, why not," Jaune said with a hidden smirk on his lips. As a kid, Jaune loved to go to the arcade with his older siblings and play Dance-Dance Revolution, and he is one hell of a dancer. "I should warn you, I'm one hell of a dancer".
Jaune picked the most challenging mode and the most complex music when they approached the system. Pyrrha was semi-stretching, getting ready to beat Jaune at the game.
The moment the music started playing, Pyrrha couldn't even follow what was going on, but when she looked at Jaune, he was dancing to the music perfectly. Even the screen was showcasing that every key was being hit perfectly.
Unlike others who place Dance-Dance Revolution, who just use their legs to register a key as fast as possible, Jaune wasn't just stepping on the keys. Instead, he was dancing to the very beat of the music.
In the end, it attracted everyone in the arcade and started cheering for him. Pyrrha, instead of feeling down, enjoyed watching Jaune dance. It was captivating for her. Every move he made was flawless. After the music ended, it displayed 'Perfect' on the screen, and then Jaune came down. He then saw Pyrrha watching him with a blush on her face.
"So?" Jaune said. "What did you think about my dancing?".
"You were amazing!" Pyrrha said. "How did you do that?".
"That's easy," Jaune replied. He loved dancing. Though not as much as one of his sisters. "Ever since I was a kid, I enjoyed going to the arcade with my older siblings. Dance-Dance Revolution was my favourite game. I even used to drag Arslan to the arcade for a little dancing".
"Really?" Pyrrha said. Arslan wasn't someone she thought would play something like Dance-Dance Revolution. "I would have loved to see that".
"Hey, I received a message from her the other day," Jaune said. "She told me that her team were chosen to represent Haven Academy. What about I take you both on a date and we can have fun in the arcade again?".
"That sounds lovely," Pyrrha said. "I would also get to know more about Arslan as a person, rather than just as a rival".
After the date, Jaune and Pyrrha went back to Beacon and headed to their dorm. Before they decided to enter, Pyrrha kissed Jaune on the lips. Jaune was right. Pyrrha's lips were different from Arslan's lips. He can't explain it, but there was a difference.
After the kiss, Pyrrha was grabbed by Nora and brought to team RWBY's dorm room. Jaune smiled as he knew what was going to happen next.
In team RWBY's dorm, Nora, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang asked Pyrrha many questions about how her date went. Pyrrha answered as best as she could. Sometimes, Weiss and Ruby would squeal. But the most surprising was the fact that Weiss wasn't being an ass about Jaune.
