Unseen, Thor walks right on up behind 'Odin;' who is lying about upon a chaise lounge. Being pampered by various women, as he lay in the mists of the audience of fellow Asgardians, watching a play about the valiant death of Loki.

.

Thor comes to stop in his tracks, as he comes to see the play, played out before him, casting a roll of his eye's at this sight.

.

A figure dressed and made-up to look exactly like Loki walked into centre stage. The actor here let out gasped for air, a hand placed on his throat. as now pretend to die.

"The start of the performance… the tail of m…' Odin paused suddenly in mid sentence, smiled at the ladies to his side. 'My brave best son, Loki!"

.

A single musician plays a haunting score on a pan flute, in hopes of aiding the scene on stage.

.

Then suddenly, another performer comes out on stage, it was a man dressed and made-up to look just like Thor would. He came to hold Loki as he staggered now to the floor of the stage. "Oh brother, no… Please don't say this is the end!" the actor as Thor gasped, taking the actor Loki's hand.

"Oh I fear that it just might be. I take my leave of the oh so cruel world." stated Actor Loki for dramatic effect.

"You brilliant fool, you should have listened!" performed the action, attempting to pass himself off as Thor.

The actor of Loki looked up at the man playing Thor, showing his emotions of pain of death. "I am sorry!' replied Loki. 'You know I had no other choice! After all you know I'm no cowered!"

Thor turned now to a lady who came on stage, dressed as Sif. "Lady Sif, go… go get help… Loki must be saved… his life must go on!"

.

It was clear to Thor, as he watched this performance, that from their words and emotions they were carrying out the writings of a true egomaniac, someone who truly loves themselves so much.

.

The female performer took her part as Sif she called out a hand to her lips. "Somebody help! Help our brave soul!" she called out again, this time running off the stage in her search.

Then three actors came on stage, all dressed and looking as the warrior three do.

The man as Thor turned to face them; he shakes his head.

The three performers lowered their heads at this cue and showed a look of sorrow.

A small choir joins in aiding and enabling to set the mood, building up to a crescendo.

.

Odin as he lays, sips wine and eats grapes, thoroughly enjoying the show.

.

Thor, though, stepped forward ready to place a hand on the figure's shoulder.

.

The show went on before the gathered audience. "Sorry for all I've done, my brother… I did what I thought best." The Loki actor here fell silent, showing in this moment of pain and sorrow just how hard it was for the true Loki to talk.

Thor here takes his part and states. "It's all right… just… just hold on… Help is on its way!"

"Know how deeply sorry for my actions on Earth, I know now how important it is to you…"

Thor cast this aside. "No, there is no need to apologise. They'd be lucky to have you… following the actions of some Earth's politicians."

"No… no… I must… I must show my turn of face, Thor… let all hear that I have turned over a new leaf… It should be a new day for me!" the actor spoke his line, playing his part of Loki.

The male actor as Thor nodded, in understanding.

"I was trapped, driven by a new thirst of power, due to what the Tesseract brought me. And in truth, brother, know… know I just couldn't help myself."

The actor of Thor nodded. "I know."

"I am, after all, the trickster!" gasped the performer of Loki, as he now tried to show that these were his last words.

"Rest now…"

"I've been so mischievous in my years."

"That you have!" said the man in reply, speaking as Thor.

"Huh… I should apologise… dear brother, for the time I turned you into a frog!" stated the actor Loki.

The actor of Thor stated his lines, letting out a slight laugh, as the script had. "Ah, it was a great and wonderful joke…"

.

Odin lay lipping the words, he found this all truly moving.

.

Thor knew that what was said on stage and how it was spoken, that these most definitely weren't the words said and that these weren't the emotions shared.

.

The play continued, the actors went on with the parts. "That it was… that it was!"

"As you pass brother, know… know you are the saviour of Asgard!"

The man of Loki here let his head fall. "Tell… please tell all of my story, of my acts, of my deeds!"

The man in the part of Thor nodded here. "That I will, Loki! You can rest in the next life knowing that all will know of your deed, of courageous actions!' Thor held his brother's hands here in this moment of stage. 'I will see that Father hears what you did here today!"

.

Odin mouths actor Loki's final line along with him.

.

"I didn't do this for him… He may have taken me in… he may have called me son… but I acted for myself!" And with that said, the actor of Loki dropped back, his head falling to one side and then performed his death.

The actor of Thor reacted to this and looked up in anguish, bellowing out at the top of his voice, "Nnnnoooo!"

.

The moment froze, with Thor still holding his fallen brother in sorrow. An actor now dressed and made to look just like Odin stepped forward. the actor opened his mouth speaking out to those who watched.

"And so I came to hear of Loki's death… from Thor… it being a noble brave death, dying from his wounds… Loki gave his life for ours. He fought back those disgusting dark elves. He brought peace to all nine realms… Loki I know you didn't do this for me, but know your actions pleases me!"

The actor of Odin now stood in a shadowy blue light. He took into his hands a 4 year old child, a child who had been painted in a blue colour. "My son… Loki, it was many moons ago, when I came to find you on the frostbitten battlefield."

.

Thor watches, incredulous. He then notices that a woman, who was next to him, was actually openly sobbing at the play as it played out. She had become so wrapped up in what she had been watching.

.

The actor Odin continued in his praise for Loki. "On that day, I did not yet see in you Asgard's saviour. No. You were merely a little blue baby icicle... That melted this old fool's heart." Odin lowered his head, and the light went out, the stage black for a second.

.

This was the end of the play. The lights on the stage came back on, the cast now being lined up at the front of the stage.

And as the actor who portrayed Loki finally stepped forward, the crowd erupts in rapturous applause.

The players bow.

.

Odin stands up, leading the crowd in a standing ovation, called out to the cast and they bow again. "Bravo! Bravo! Well done. Bravo." still clapping.

.

'Ah, Loki's ego at work, if I ever saw it!' Thor thought, lowering for now the vast crown of Surtur to the floor. Thor now stepped out of the shadows and called out Odin. "Oh, my father… ruler of Asgard… I have travelled far and battled strong…"

.

Odin looked up and saw Thor, he hid his shock to all, then announced. "Son… my very son!' called out Odin, staggering to his feet, leaving the many ladies wanting, batting them away. Showing a more rigid and regal posture. 'you have come back… come back to Asgard!"

"That I have…"

"Well greetings my boy…' he stated, stepping forward. 'Greeting!"
