Summary: When a secret is exposed, their world turns upside down and they have to take things one step at a time to put things back together again.

(Witten Dec. 2016)

It was a hectic morning, but they were used to it. Though it was only the three of them in their family, it felt like some days they were six. As Bonnie flipped the pancakes, Stefan was setting the table and washing off dishes as Jasmine hopped on one foot pulling her boot up her ankle. Stefan turned and dodged his daughter thankful for his reflexes or else orange juice would stain the floor and their clothes. "Careful," he warned then kissed her head making her smile.

He then walked up behind his fianceé hugging her from behind, kissing the side of her neck. Bonnie closed her eyes for a moment enjoying his lips before snapping back into it. "Tonight you wanna—"

"Dad, you're so gross." Jasmine averted her eyes to her phone.

"And you know the rules," he slid the phone from her fingers then placed it into the back pocket of his slacks and sat down. "Tell me the plan for today, babe,"

"Well I have school, obviously, then I don't know I might go to the park with some friends."

"Jay and Natalie?"

"Those are the ones."

"Well let me know the plans once they're in stone, girl."

"I know, dad,"

He smiled. "Are you too old to give your dad kisses?"

She smiled then leaned in to kiss his cheek. Bonnie smiled carrying the food over to the table and sat at the point of the triangle from the two. They immediately stabbed the circled fluffs with their forks, each taking three.

"Mom, are we still getting facials this weekend?"

"Of course, I can't wait."

Jasmine smiled then started eating quickly. Stefan glanced over at his future wife leaning back in his chair slightly to get a glace at her outfit. He reached his hand out and pulled her chair closer saying that she was much too far away. He placed his hand between her thighs occasionally sending her a tingle when his thumb would move slightly across it and that's how he drove as well. He moved his hand away once he was parked in front of the school and turned to his baby girl.

"Don't forget to text me. Or your mom, okay?"

"I won't, dad, I promise."

"We love you." Bonnie reminded.

"I love you too. See you later," she got out of the car.

They watched her until she walked inside the secondary school then Stefan drove them into the alley a few blocks down. He shut off the car keeping the radio on then scooted his seat back. Bonnie watched him as he watched her then soon climbed over into his lap and met their lips. He lifted his hands up her dress grabbing her causing a moan to escape. She rocked her hips into him but he groans, "Tonight," and though she heard him clearly, she doesn't stop.

He should've seen this coming, it always tends to happen when they spend their morning hour here. They didn't want to show too much affection around their daughter, like making out and grinding, so they saved the more adult stuff for their private time. The first time Stefan drove them here, Bonnie looked at him like he was crazy but once he explained his idea, she took away his insane card.

Their kissing deepens and Stefan lays back the seat. "Take off your shirt." Bonnie sat up.

"Take off your dress," he challenges making her smile.

She lifts the dress up from her body as he undoes his buttons but stops briefly as her torso lengthens pulling the dress up her head. They shift up to her chest admiring her breasts halfway covered in lace. He tossed his shirt to the back seat and once she was laid on top of him, he decided to take her bra off and rest his hands on her ass. They started kissing again and her teeth trapped his lower lip as he messaged her over her panties.

"Now I need to change my underwear."

"You want me to stop?"

She sucked in a breath then calmly released it. "Hell no," He chuckled continuing. "Can I have it?"

"Have what?"

"Whatever's poking me in your pants."

He laughed dryly. "Tonight, baby."

"If you pay me, I'll give you a lapdance,"

"How much you charge?"

"Since I actually like you, I'll charge fifty in one-dollar bills."

"You're going to make the bank think I'm cheating on you."

"So be it, they need to mind their business anyway. 'Oh hi, Mr. Stefan, you look so nice, Mr. Stefan' damn, they're annoying."

He chuckled. "Are you… Are you jealous?"

"If jealous means that I will beat their ass if they try anything, yes."

"My baby's jealous, that's so sexy. I had no idea," he kisses her.

"No idea that I don't like women flirting with my man?" She watched him smile. "Wipe that look off your face."

"I'm sorry, baby, I'm just so turned on right now."

"Yeah? What are you going to do about it?"

She giggled as he rolled them, switching their positions.

Jasmine smiled immediately seeing her friends as she walked into school. They got caught up on their weekend which was all basically the same between the three. Boring. Jasmine would find herself playing down her days not wanting to appear greater than them because she actually does have fun just hanging out with her parents on the weekends and going into town to window shop. Playing things down was a habit that she didn't mean to start, but somehow, she found herself doing it just to blend in.

"Jas, can I come over later, I would just love to stare your father down." Natalie fantasized, biting on her lower lip.

Natalie Hepner was your stereotypical popular girl, look wise. Tanned skin, brunette hair, and a belly button piercing. Not to mention size 0 earlobes and your classic 5 foot 7 height. Jasmine considers her as her best friend although they just met this year. They share the same science class and lucky one day their teacher paired them together in a group and their relationship blossomed from there. She was an honor roll student and a bit of a clown to Jasmine at least because she could have her stomach in pain from laughing over just one thing she said or did.

"Same," Jay added.

Jeffrey Manning, blond hair, dark skin, and practically the size of a toothpick. A toothpick with an attitude and tolerance the size of a pea. They both met as they were seated alone at a table. He sat down next to them with confidence and asked for the 411 since he was the new kid. He moved here from Atlanta, they found out and hated it but he's finding himself adjusting more and more as the months' pass.

"Can you both, I don't know, not?"

"Oh chill out, your dad is a hot fuck. And your mother is just as good." Jeff started opening his locker.

"Seriously if I was bisexual, your mother would be at the top of my list. She and Jennifer Aniston."

"My parents are pretty handsome, aren't they," Jasmine realized.

"Which explains why you're so hot also."

"Wow, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me, Jay,"

"Don't get used to it, I have a reputation to uphold. Jay, a gay guy who tells it like it is. Why do you think I go shopping with bitches so many times?"

"Because they buy you food," Natalie said making Jasmine chuckle.

Jay thought for a beat then sighed nodding his head. They looked up hearing the bell ring then all went into separate classrooms.

Stefan sighed logging into his computer then narrowed his eyes feeling a vibration in his back pocket then realizes that he still has Jasmine's phone. He sets it on his desk to remind him to drop it off during lunch. It vibrates again and his eyes shift over as the screen lit up. He didn't want to but he leaned in his chair and took a peek at the texts.

You still didn't answer my question about coming over…

Maybe because you spilled our secret about watching her fine ass dad

Stefan cleared his throat then flipped the phone over then got back to work. He looked up hearing knocks on his door.

"You busy?"

"No, what's up?"

"I know you're sort of- kind of with Bonnie,"

"Completely one hundred percent committed. Continue,"

"But I need a wingman. I'm not asking you to do anything, but I got a girl, she got a friend… Are you in?"

"You gotta ask someone else, man, you see I would help you out but my girl gets jealous and that just would not go over well."

Enzo grunted.

"Oh, and how many one-dollar bills do you have?"

He reached for his wallet. "Why?"

"I owe Jasmine some allowance but I only have big bills."

"Here, I got ten,"

"Thanks, man," he traded him a bill to match the amount.

Once Enzo left, Stefan heard his ringer go off then lifted an eyebrow at the message.

I can't decide, help me daddy

She attached three photos of her in lingerie.

Where's option 4? Your body

He waited anxiously. "Hot. Damn." Damn babe. I say go with that one

Perfect.

He scrolled back up to the photo shaking his head then saved it to his phone before setting it aside.

Bonnie slipped on her robe then redid her hair and makeup, making things a little sexier/ mysterious for her managing job at Victoria's Secret. Not the job she expected to have in her mid-twenties, but she's had the job for years and really couldn't think of anything else she wanted to do. It paid well especially now since she's the salary manager so bonuses come semi-annually and plus, it's where she met Stefan.

He was just a random mall goer with his friends when she was on break. They walked by each other keeping eye contact she didn't look back once they passed, but he did. The following week, he dropped by the store, trapped her in one of four corners, and started talking to her. He was bold, she remembers by the way he touched her keeping his cool guy act up and she hated that she fell for it so quickly. She gave him her number, he kissed her neck and called her when her shift ended. They went to a small party together and a baby later, here they were.

"Hey, Bon,"

"Hey, Trace."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, just thinking about life and what I don't know what to do with mine."

"What are you talking about, you have a family."

"Yeah, but I'm working at VS."

"And?"

She sighed. "I don't know. I mean I didn't picture this, you know. Actually, I didn't picture anything but if I did, it probably wouldn't be this."

"What, working here or the family situation?"

"A little of both. Don't get me wrong I actually do love this job and I love my family, but I just- I don't know."

"Trust me, I get it. I would think the same way if I were in your shoes, you're not wrong."

Bonnie smiled then hugged her six-foot friend, planting get head between her bosoms.

"I feel like this is the only reason why you hug me."

"It is,"

Tracy chuckled then eventually had to remove her friend so they could get to work.

Jasmine met her friends at her locker then narrowed her eyes at the looks on their faces. She looked between the two waiting for them to explain but she was simply handed Natalie's phone. She wondered what happened then read the messages and laughed handing the phone back.

"This isn't funny."

"It's pretty hilarious if you ask me," she laughed some more.

"I just want to know who has it, your mom or your dad."

"My dad."

"Fuck." Jay shook his head, "we're fucked, I'm never coming over again."

"Since when are you ashamed?"

"I'm not, I just like to make more of a calmer approach."

"Well this is all your fault, Jay, you're the one who brought it up."

"Guys chill, my dad is cool, he probably didn't even read the message, he probably typed that he's dropping my phone off without looking at the stupid conversation."

"Doubt it. It's impossible not to look. I mean it's right there in your face and it's not like they were a paragraph. One sentence."

"Like I said, you guys are overreacting, my dad is cool, if he read it, he wouldn't act any differently. Maybe get a bigger head, but basically still the same."

Her friends sighed then they all walked to class together as the bell sounded.

Stefan asked anyone that came into his office for all the one-dollar bills they had in exchange for food or a one-time deadline extension and luckily came up with the exact amount that he needed. He sent screenshots of Jay and Natalie's two-part conversation to Bonnie then a picture of the dollar bills now filling up his wallet. She laughed at both and asked for a detail-oriented story once he drops by her school to give their daughter her phone back. Bonnie actually wanted to tag along but the store was getting busier by the hour due to the holiday season.

Stefan locked his office door behind him then drive to her school. It's been a while since he stepped foot in a high school, his daughter was a good kid, he didn't need to drop by for principal visits or teacher lectures. He walked around soaking in all the eyes staring at him continuing to the lunchroom. He looked around then spotted his baby girl at a far table talking to her friends. He walked up to them and suddenly their conversation halted. Jasmine stood up hugging her dad then asked him to sit for a minute just to torture her friends.

"How are you guys doing?"

"Good, Mr. Salvatore um how are you?"

"Great. Are you all still going to the park after school or,"

"Actually is it okay if they come over?"

"Yeah, that's fine. Where's your food, babe?" He narrowed his eyes.

"I don't like eating school lunch, I just eat a lot when I get home."

He frowned. "Why didn't you tell me that, babe? I or your mom can start packing lunch for you."

"It's okay, dad, really. I've been doing it for a while, I'm fine."

He looked over at her friends who looked at him. He sighed then placed his hand on her back. "Well, I should get back to work." He took her phone out of his pocket. "I love you," he kissed her head then stood. "I'll see you both later,"

"Bye, Mr. Salvatore,"

"See you later,"

He waved making his way out of the cafeteria.

"So what's your problem?"

"He's so embarrassing."

"It wasn't bad, Jas, he was just making sure you had something to eat."

"Still, I think I can handle myself when it comes to eating, I mean he sees me eat all the time, he made it seem like I have a problem,"

"Jas, you're overreacting a little,"

She sighed running her fingers through her hair. "You think he's gone?"

"Why?"

"I didn't tell him that I love him back. I know I hurt his feelings,"

"Go check," Jay said and she immediately stood jogging out the room.

Jasmine looked through the cars and spotted her dad getting into his and ran towards it. "Dad!" She waved her hands hoping to catch his attention. He pulled off causing her to run faster behind him. "Dad!" She was relieved when the car stopped and he quickly got out running towards her. "What's wrong?" He held her close.

"I love you too."

He closes his eyes hugging her tighter until her heart calmed.

Bonnie glanced over at her watch then perked up as a few high school girls walked in. She let them search for a little until she approached them.

"Hey ladies, I'm Bonnie, can I help you out with something?"

"You have a rock on your finger, what does your man like?"

She smiled. "If we're being honest, he'd rather I be naked," they giggled, "but sometimes I wanna wear something that I feel sexy in so," she started walking, "I usually go a gown because even without the sexy time, I can comfortably wear it to bed any day. Or for something a little sexier, we always have two-piece sets, which are over here,"

"Thank you, Bonnie."

"You're welcome, I'll be over here if you need my opinion." She smiled then walked over to Tracey. "High school girls, make sure they don't steal anything." She nodded keeping her eyes on them. "I always hate selling to young girls, it grosses me out."

She chuckled. "Why?"

"Because they're my daughter's age, I wouldn't want anyone doing it to her. I don't want her or them for that matter to have sex at this young age."

"They're barely young, Bonnie,"

"You know what I mean. But then again, I can say shit because I didn't wait. Stupid Stefan."

"He wasn't your first,"

"True, but he was, however, the first person who I constantly had sex with. Horn dog."

Tracey chuckled. "Alright girl, all clear."

Bonnie cleared her throat turning around seeing three out of the four girls with something in their hands. She smiled then checked them out.

Jasmine, Jay, and Natalie took the bus to the mall where they walked around for about an hour waiting for her mom to get off work so she could drive them home. Bonnie met them at the food court as always a little surprised that her daughter had guests. "Hey, guys,"

"Hi, Mrs. Salvatore. You look beautiful."

"I try, I try," she did a few poses causing them to chuckle. "Ready to go?"

"Yes ma'am."

They stood and followed behind her and Jasmine stared down every guy who checked her mother out. She hated it and wished that sometimes her dad would come just so they could stop looking at her mom like a piece of meat. She didn't seem to mind though, but Jasmine did.

"How was school?" Bonnie asked when they made it to the parking lot.

"Pretty good, nothing special." Jasmine got in on the passenger side.

"Jay, Nat?"

"The same."

"Although your fine husband stopped by." Jay teased like he always does with her.

"You know what, Jay, I think it's time we fight."

He laughed. "I ain't scared, I will hit a girl."

"I can't with you." She reached over to answer the call from Stefan. "Hey Stef, you're on speaker."

"Get me off for a second,"

Bonnie quickly plugged in her earphones stopped at a light. "Hello? ...Baby," she laughed.

Jasmine looked back at their friends who had their eyebrows raised.

"Stop," she signaled her thanks to the man that let her over. "Yes, I promise. Oh, you know Jay thinks you're fine right?"

He gasped.

"We're gonna fight for you one of these days." She chuckled looking at him through the rearview mirror. "He says he'll be the referee, Jay." She laughed a little. "Alright, I love you. Bye,"

"Bonnie, I'm not your friend anymore." Jay folded his arms as she pulled into the driveway.

"Don't act all shy now, you gotta walk the walk too." She unlocked the doors and they got out.

Bonnie headed upstairs to change then went back downstairs to start dinner.

The teens gathered in Jasmine's room to do homework and gossip.

….

Stefan smiled holding her from behind as she finished up cooking, glad that the kids were upstairs. He kisses her neck then turns her head to capture her lips and she turns in his arms kissing him better.

"I missed you," he grabbed her waist.

"I missed you too." She kissed him.

He licks her lips. "You think we can sneak upstairs for a second?"

"Uh, I don't know, babe."

"It's been a week."

"We had sex this morning in your car."

"That doesn't count, I actually want to take my time with you."

"Tonight, I promise you I'll rock your world tonight." She moved her arms around his neck.

"I know you will," he met their lips again, grabbing her hair and ass.

"Mom, dad- oh-"

They pulled away turning their heads toward their daughter. "What's up?" Stefan cleared his throat moving his hands to his side.

"Nothing, I was just wondering what's for dinner."

"Stakes, potatoes, and macaroni and cheese."

She nodded then walked away.

"Well that didn't go over well, did it?"

Stefan sighed. "You think we should talk to her?"

"I don't know, it might make things worse, I think so should just let it be."

Jasmine walked back upstairs to her room. "So I just walked in on my parents making out."

"No way, I knew I should've gone down there with you."

She rolled her eyes. "It's weird, I've never seen them like that before. I mean they kiss but my dad was like-"

"Grabbing her ass and hair? It's classic love bird pose." Jay shrugged then got back to reading.

Stefan set three settings since Jay and Natalie had to get home a little before dinner was ready. He thanked his future wife as he kissed her cheek before sitting down beside his daughter. Bonnie finished carrying the last dish to the table then joined her family and after saying a prayer, they started fixing their plates.

"So how was school?" Stefan asked.

"Pretty good."

"No tests or anything like that?"

"Nope."

He nodded then turned his head. "What about you, how was work?"

"A little slow at first but then it got busy." She sighed. "I don't know, I was thinking— never mind."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing wrong, I just- I kind of want to do something else, you know. The problem is that I have no idea what that something else is."

Stefan thought then opened his mouth but Jasmine beat him to it. "Maybe you can stay at home for a while until you figure it out. There's nothing to do here basically so you'll have lots of time to think."

"I don't think I have much time to think, babe,"

"Why do you say that?" Stefan jumped in. "We're in a better place right now and sure, your salary obviously helps us, but I can cover it on my own."

She smiled and grabbed their hands. "Thank you both for being so supportive."

"We love you, of course, we're going to be supportive of you." Stefan kissed her.

Jasmine smiled. "Speaking of support," she gained their attention, "I entered a contest. A modeling contest."

"Since when did you want to be a model?"

"Not long. I just saw this posting of the contest and Natalie kind of pushed me to join somewhat as a joking matter but she took my photos and we sent them in and I'm one of the finalists."

"Wow, that's great, honey."

"So what does that mean?"

"It means that I get a free trip to New York to pose for a more professional photographer and if I win the contest I can be on the cover of Teen Vogue!"

The parents exchanged looks. "Uh, alright uh. When is this trip?"

"Next month."

"Okay," Stefan thought. "Alright, your mother will go with you and—"

"What, I want to do this by myself."

"Jasmine, you're crazy if you think that we'll allow you to go to a state that you've never been to before by yourself. If you were eighteen, I'd consider it but right now if this escalates any further, your mother and I will be there."

She sighed. "Fine."

"Good. Now your mother will act as your manager because we know she'll be better than I because you're my baby girl and I don't want you showing too much skin, but I understand that some of these things require uh-" he exhaled.

"Are you okay, babe?"

"I just need some air," he stood and walked out.

Jasmine sighed. "So much for being supportive."

"He's very supportive. Like he said, you're his little girl and it's hard for him to grasp that you're not so little anymore. But I'm proud of you, Jasmine, we both are. And I promise to not be so coddling on the trip."

She smiled then turned hearing her father enter. "Alright, I think I'm calm now."

The ladies chuckled then they continued with dinner.

He watched her step out of the bathroom wearing a silk slip and sat up a little. She was avoiding him, acting as if he was nonexistent with her back turned towards him. He slowly got up from the bed and quietly walked behind her, kissing her shoulders. He pushed the straps opposite of each other causing the slip to easily glide down her body. His lips moved towards her neck before he turned her face to meet their lips.

Bonnie smiled feeling him lift her and carry her over to the bed before she sat down on the edge of it. He raised his hands as she pulled up his shirt then pushed him down before getting off his lap to remove his sweatpants. She called him up with her finger and he followed her instruction, sitting up. He grabbed her ass as her hips bounced once she straddled his lap again and kisses her deeply. He groans in her mouth then flips them over moving his hips within her. She kisses his neck wrapping her arm around his body until he switched their positions and they shortly came. Stefan pulled her in kissing her deeply, smiling when straddled his lap again.

...

The parents ran into their daughter's room after hearing her scream but stopped their panic once they just saw her standing there unharmed.

"What's-" Stefan paused as she handed him her phone.

Bonnie looked over at the video playing then gasped. "Where did you get this?"

"Jay sent it to me, someone's spreading it throughout the school."

"How is this even possible, there wasn't-"

"Thanks for ruining my life. Everyone will be mocking and staring at me."

"How do you even know that people know that we're your parents? We could just be some random people-"

"Who decides to have sex in their car near their daughter's school. Thanks a lot."

"Jass,"

"Give me my phone back, I can't risk you showing up again then everyone will for sure know." She took her phone from her father's hands then pushes past him.

Stefan sighed as Bonnie ran her fingers through her hair. "How is this even possible, I'm sure I would've seen a kid around."

"I don't know Stefan, but we screwed up. Even if it wasn't really our fault."

"Fuck,"

"I'll go see if she wants to talk to me,"

They both headed downstairs but as Bonnie went into the kitchen, Stefan stopped to get the door as someone knocked on it.

"I want her back." The woman said.

"What?"

"I want my daughter back."

"Well, you can't have her. We made a deal."

"The deal is off, let me talk to my sister."

"Get off my property or I'm calling the police."

"Bonnie! Bonnie!"

Stefan looked back seeing his daughter and future wife rush in with worried expressions. "What's going-"

"Aunt May, what are you doing here?"

"I came to get you back, baby girl. I'm your real mother."

Bonnie's eyes widened then her anger took over. "Get the hell out of my house."

"Mom, is she lying? She's not my real mom, is she?"

A tear escaped her right eye, "Jasmine,"

"I can't believe you lied to me. You both- all three of you lied to me, how could you do that to me?"

Stefan stepped up, "Baby-"

"I don't want to hear it, Stefan." His face dropped. "This is officially the worst day of my life." She sped past the adults, running outside.

"I'm going to kill you." Bonnie threatened.

"I like to see you try. I'll be back for her."

"She is not going anywhere with you!"

"I think that's up for her to decide." May turned and left leaving the brokenhearted parents alone.

"Baby, I'm sorry, we're sorry, please come home so we can explain. I was looking out for you and I wanted to protect you, please, Jasmine come home." Bonnie sighed leaving yet another voicemail.

Stefan kissed the top of her head then sat down next to her. "She'll come back,"

"I know I just- we should've told her,"

"Maybe but what would that've done? We made a deal, Bonnie, she's ours."

"But are we hers? May's right, it's ultimately up for her to decide, I know we can beat her in court, but if Jasmine doesn't want to be here, she's not."

"She called me Stefan,"

They looked up hearing the front door open then soon they were faced with their daughter. "I don't want to talk to you right now," she looked only at Stefan, "I just want to talk to her."

"But baby,"

"I just want to talk to mom, okay, Stefan?"

Bonnie closed her eyes hearing his heart shatter. Stefan slowly stood. "Okay," he walked out of the kitchen.

"That's not fair," Bonnie shook her head.

"He lied to me the most. At least you're actually my family."

"Jasmine,"

"I don't understand why I didn't see it before. He's in none of my infant pictures at all."

"He's still your dad."

"No, he's not. I don't know who my father is."

"Stefan is your father, Jasmine. Now I know and get that you're upset, but I'm not going to sit here and let you disrespect him like that, he sacrificed a lot for you, more than you can ever imagine. I get that you're upset and angry, but that still gives you no right."

"What has he ever done for me?"

"Jasmine, do you hear yourself right now? Forget the obvious roof over your head, or the food in your stomach, the money in your wallet. Have you ever asked yourself why you've never met his parents? Did you think about that?

"Your mom, my sister that I love, always hung out with the wrong crowd. She would be out for days, and when she came home, I would always hear something about a shooting or a party or the police. When she got pregnant with you, I was so scared, I almost wanted her to get an abortion, but she wanted to tie down your father. I met him once, he seemed like a nice guy but I knew he did horrible things. A month after you were born he got killed and my sister basically died with him. She did and took drugs fought, drank, stayed out late forgetting all about you and that's when I took over the mother role. Months after that I met Stefan and we started dating but before I truly fell in love with him, I told him about you, about us. He wanted to meet you and you loved him. You would always cry whenever someone would hold you that you didn't know, but you just stared at him with your big eyes and I swear he was your father ever since.

"His parents liked me, but they didn't want him in such a situation so they started to not like me but Stefan stayed by my side and they started to talk to him less and less. He gave up his family so he could be a part of ours. So the next time you want to call him Stefan, think about that." Bonnie stood and walked away.

Stefan paused at the threshold of the kitchen seeing her looking through the refrigerator. He let out a breath then walked in. "Are you ready to talk to me?" He looked down as she kept quiet. "I never meant to hurt you, I love you and I'm so sorry I kept this from you. If you could just-" he stopped as she walked past him.

He watched her walk upstairs then poured himself a drink. And then another.

Bonnie cursed then rushed up to him taking the bottle from his hand. She kneeled beside him with sad eyes and placed her hand on his face. A tear slid down his left eye. "I lost her."

"You didn't, Stefan. I promise, she just needs time."

He shook his head. "No." He swallowed. "I lost her. I can see it. She doesn't want to be my little girl anymore." He chuckled to mask the pain and grabbed the bottle again taking a swig to mask the sting. "I'll go pack my things."

She stopped him from getting up. "Stefan, you're being ridiculous."

"I bet you if I go and tell her that I'm leaving she wouldn't bat an eyelash."

"That's not true."

"Yes, it is. Watch,"

"Stefan, stop."

"You know I'm right which is why you don't want me to do it."

"No, I don't want you to do it because I don't want you to leave. I love you, we'll get through this together, as a family."

"Let's have her decided."

"Stef-" she tried to stop him again but he managed to get away and hurried up the stairs she quickly followed after him but was too late.

"I know you don't want to talk to me, but I just need you to answer one question for me, that's all I ask. I know you don't look at me as part of this family anymore so I can leave if you want me to. But in your heart, if you think it's ever a chance that you can forgive me and let me be your father again, I need you to say something, anything; move a muscle, make a sound and I'll stay. I'll do whatever you want because no matter what I love you so much." He felt the tears build up in his eyes and his lip quivers as she stays still on the bed staring down at her phone. He nodded. "Okay,"

Bonnie tried to stop him again but he yanked his arm away. She stepped in her and pulled the phone from her hand forcing their eyes to meet. "Are you fucking kidding me, Jasmine? God," she ran out.

"Wait, Stefan, just- just wait, please. I love you, please don't do this to me, please. Baby, please just stop for a second." She grabbed his arm stopping him from putting more clothes into his duffel bag. "I'm begging you on behalf of the both of us. Please don't go."

"She doesn't want me here."

"I promise you she does, she's just upset. Baby, I love you. You're not just walking out in her, you're walking out on me too. Stef, please." She kissed him. "Please, please, please."

She held him tightly as he kissed her back but she couldn't stop the tears because it felt all too much like a goodbye.

"I will always love you. You will always be my one. But I can't-"

"I'm pregnant." She cried.

His eyes widened. "What?"

"I'm pregnant."

He watched her eyes breathing deeply then pulled her in holding her close as she sobbed on his shoulder. "Holy fuck." She laughed some wiping her tears away. "Is that why we-"

She nodded. "Yeah. I was scared, I know it's normal but," she sniffed in. "I was scared."

He pulled away then met their lips kissing her repeatedly. He carried her over to their bed and kissed her softly, holding her throughout the night.

"I'm not really pregnant," she admitted as a tear ran across her face. They were laying side by side, face to face enjoying the quiet and each other's company when she decided to come clean. "I just don't want you to go." She sobbed and he pulled her in close to his chest as she struggled to breathe through her tears.

"Shh," he rubbed her back softly as she cried some more. "I love you." He kissed her head.

"I'm sorry,"

"It's okay."

"I'm never letting you go." She moved her arms around his neck as she calmed her tears.

Once she went back to sleep, he moved quietly out of her hold then headed downstairs for food.

"I thought you were leaving?"

He kept his back to her. "I am, I just- your mom needed me last night. I'm leaving today, I promise." He kept strong as he turned to put the juice back in the refrigerator. "I want to fight for you, babe. But I feel like if I do that, I'll be pushing you further away and that's the last thing that I want. If that's what you're waiting for me to do, know that it's what I want to do. I'm going to give you space then I'll fight for your love again. You're worth every single last bit of pain in my heart."

Stefan slowly walked away hoping that she'd call after him but stopped his tears as he reached the top of the stairs with no sign of her. He paused meeting Bonnie's eyes before grabbing his bag again.

"Baby,"

"Bonnie. She wants me to leave, okay? She told me so. I'm just going to stay with my parents for a bit."

"You can't. They already hate us, Stefan, this will make everything worse."

"I won't say anything about this, alright. I'll say that you two went to go visit your grandma and I decided to visit my parents since we haven't seen each other in a while. Sure, they might suspect something, but it'll only be a suspicion."

She stayed quiet watching him pack and followed behind him down the stairs. She grabbed him, holding him tightly. "Promise me you'll be mine forever."

"I promise." He hugged her back. He looked up spotting Jasmine. "I'll miss you so much." He told her continuing to hug Bonnie just for a second believing he was hugging his baby girl.

He pulled away then reached for the knob of the door and hoped that she would stop him but he made it out of the neighborhood without hearing another word.
