Hitoshi POV

"Hitoshi-"

"No."

"Hitoshi-"

"No."

"You don't even know what I want."

"I can guess."

Hisoka sighed and reluctantly fell back onto his bed. "You're no fun." He complained, "you're not even wearing your collar anymore."

I pinched the bridge of my nose. That was true, Illumi took it off before we reached the mountain, it was only for the exam after all. "What do you want?" I finally asked.

"Let's register for a match together, it'll be fun~."

"I still haven't checked my schedule." I replied.

"You don't have one to check. Stop avoiding me."

You leave a guy alone for a week and all he wants to do is touch and fight you. It's understandable given our situation, nevertheless it's still troublesome. "Fine, pick a date, any date." I gave in, can't let him suffer too much.

"Today?"

"If that's what you want."

Hisoka grinned, "Maybe don't leave me so long next time little kitten, if it bothers you this much."

"It was only a week." I argued.

"This man is pathetic. Why do you like him again?" Nyx questioned.

I looked at Nyx. "We got ourselves in an irreversible situation that has us emotionally connected, I can't not care about him." I explained.

"Did you just talk to the cat?" A confused clown magician asked.

I turned back to Hisoka, "I might've."

"Well that's unfortunate. I could kill him for you."

I ignored Nyx in favor of watching Hisoka who was now sitting upright on his bed staring Nyx dead in the eyes.

"I feel your cat dislikes me." He finally said.

"Yes, tell him I hate him and never want to see him again. You're mine, I don't want to share you with this waste of space." Nyx ordered.

I sighed. "I'm not yours, and you're a cat I might add."

"So? I don't discriminate."

"What'd it say?" Hisoka inquired.

"He likes you." I replied, "and he wants headpats."

"Traitor! I don't want him to touch me!"

"Too bad you possessive cat straight from my nightmares." I got up and walked towards the door.

"You get back here this instant young man! Periwinkle! You hear me, I will never forgive you!" Nyx shouted.

"I don't think Hisoka even wants to touch you, I just need some air. I'll be back later." I threw over my shoulder.

I swiftly exited the room, checking my pockets to make sure I had my phone and some money.

I think it's high time I visit a weapons master. Guns are cool and all, but I still prefer my binding cloth. It's useful. I want to see about commissioning a replacement for the one I lost, maybe even get a new mask. Bloody cult fucking my life up.

I got out of the elevator on the first floor and walked out the front door. There should be a weapon's smith for hunters somewhere in this city. I mean I've got time, so I might as well just pick a direction and start walking.

~Timeskip- 4 hours and some confusion + brainwashing later~

I found the shop I was looking for, finally. I'm ashamed to admit I got lost a few too many times and had to ask actual people where to go. News flash, the majority of the people in this city know less than I do.

I was standing around in the shop browsing the aisles. Swords, daggers, bows, poison, a book of mercenaries phone numbers, combat boots, brass knuckles, axes, shurikens, kunai, guns, a book on 101 easiest ways to narrowly avoid death, make-up, whips, lances, spears, cannon balls, a book on seduction tactics, a random collection of spikes, chains, rope, wigs, cloaks, masks, crossbows, arrows, more random books, and a bunch of other things. There was no binding cloth, but I wasn't really expecting any.

I walked up to the front desk and wrote my question down on my phone. Do you do customs?

"Aye, we do. Whatcha lookin' for?" the desk guy asked.

I wrote down the properties of the binding cloth from back home and showed it to him.

"Apologies mate, we can't make anything like that. You'd have to get it infused with magic or something. Sorry to say, magic that can do something like that ain't real. You could probably find someone who could do somethin' similar though."

What about a mask that can alter your voice?

"That I can do. How much you willin' to pay?"

Don't have a price range.

"Great, this is for combat purposes I'm assuming?"

I nodded my head, I wrote him a list of specifications on paper, and handed it to him. He briefly looked at it and shoved it in his pocket.

"Alright, just sign here and fill out this part as well. We'll give you a call when we've finished."

I filled out the paperwork with my contact information and left the shop after bidding the desk guy goodbye via cell phone. It seems like my cloth will have to wait a while, they don't have the tech for something like that here. They do have nen though, I'll probably find someone somewhere. My mask on the other hand may very well turn out the way I want it to.

"You were gone a while, where'd you go kitten~?" Hisoka asked the moment I stepped into the room.

"I got lost." I mumbled.

Nyx, who was sitting on the opposite end of the room, as far away from Hisoka as physically possible, snickered. Damned cat ears, hearing everything. "What was that?" Hisoka asked.

"I got lost." I repeated a little louder.

Hisoka grinned with his eyes closed. "Ah~ I could've gone with you kitten~."

"No, I could have gone with you. We could've filed a report and gotten this clown arrested." Nyx said.

I sighed and collapsed on my bed. This is why I left in the first place. The only thing the two have done in my presence is try to one-up each other. One of them not even understanding the other.

"Lets go register for a match, you're still up for it correct?" Hisoka said.

"Yeah, I only got lost for four hours, I didn't run a marathon, don't doubt me. I said we'd fight, and we will." I replied.

"Good, let's go over a few things then. It will probably have to be a no-nen battle as our abilities don't work well on each other. Also the loser has to do whatever the winner says for 24 hours."

I processed what he said for a minute before saying something, "12 hours, the full day tomorrow."

"Hn. I can't make you change your mind can I?"

"Nope, take it or leave it. 24 hours includes the night and on the chance that you win I'd rather not risk it." I stated.

"Hm, without nen it'll be a battle of strength and speed. Although, the nen covering my cards can still hurt you~." Hisoka purred.

"My guns can damage you as well, don't think for one second, I'm defenceless."

"I never said you were."

"What is wrong with those two?" Nyx asked himself, albeit loud enough for me to hear.

I sighed, time to get off the bed and go register for a match. "Hiso, pull me up." I held my hand out in the air for him to grab.

I felt his hand grab mine and swiftly pull me up off the bed. "Let's go register then, kitten."

I ran a hand through my hair and sighed, why did I agree to this again?

Thoughts?
