Blood…

So much Blood…

Bakugou was currently covered with that red liquid that came from someone underneath a piece of the broken wall. That someone was Midoriya Izuku, now flattened and the blood was pooled around him, lifeless.

"I-Izuku…IZUKU!"

Bakugou screamed at the top of his lungs, pushing through the pain in his arms to run towards the greenette. He could not believe what he had witnessed, nor could he believe the misfortune of Midoriya. Something was going on and the moment he decided to help the Nerd, Death decided to take him away with a gruesome style.

"Izuku! Wake up!"

"C'mon, kid!" Death Arms eventually reached him and picked him up in a fireman's carry, but Bakugou was resisting.

"Let me go! Izuku is underneath the rubble, you need to get him out!" Bakugou screamed and tried to squirm away. Death Arms held him more firmly.

"Katsuki!"

Bakugou turned and saw that his mom was fighting Kamui who was preventing her from getting through. "Mom!"

"Katsuki! Let me through, dumbass, that is my son!" Mitsuki said and slammed an iron skillet on Kamui's head.

Kamui squatted and held his head in pain, now seeing stars. "Damn, woman! Fine, you can go!"

She then ran towards the Hero carrying Bakugou. "Katsuki, what the hell happened!?"

"Mom! Izuku! He's trapped underneath the rubble! They won't get him!" Bakugou was hyperventilating, ignoring the pain from his arms as the adrenaline was pumping through his veins like fire.

She looked at Death Arms in surprise, which turned into disbelief as he looked down and away from her, in the direction of the alleyway. Mitsuki then looked at a pile of rubble where the blast zone was and her heart was torn. Underneath the rubble, she could see little tufts of forest green hair, and an arm hanging limply on top of a pool of blood.

He would never have survived that. I'm so sorry, Izuku.

She looked at her son in sorrow and held him close while Backdraft and the other firefighters were working on putting out the flames. "I'm sorry, Katsuki." She said quietly, and she felt her son stiffen. "He did not survive."

Bakugou could not believe what he was hearing, and the look of sorrow on his mother's face made it even worse. "Wh-what do you mean? He is ok, right?"

Mitsuki shook her head and held him tighter. "If he did survive from the initial impact, he would have likely suffocated from the weight or bled to death."

Silence enveloped the blonde teen, ignoring the crowd and the flames and everything around him as this information was breaking the glass between hope and reality. The more he thought about it logically, the more that glass cracked until one final piece shattered it completely.

If you want a Quirk so bad, take a swan dive off the building and wish for one in the next life!

Swan dive…

Take your life…

Death.

Screams of despair leave his mouth as his mother tries to comfort him to no avail. It was his fault, he should have not told Midoriya to snuff his life. He should have protected him, he should have kept him close. Now Karma had decided to make him eat his words in Midoriya's blood.

"I'm sorry, Izuku!"
