IT'S CHANGED (SNILY)
CHAPTER 37 April

A few days passed, with Severus' birthday. He was seventeen! And it would have taken everything to take the foolish grin off his face. Any of his birthdays weren't as exciting as this one. He almost had everything he would have wanted in a happy life. Everything.

The reason was enough for him to dissolve in tears the first thing in the morning and cry on Lily's shoulder for almost an hour. She had laughed after he was over and had given him a fiery Gryffindor-ish kiss and told him how much hotter he was looking, obviously, making him blush violently. Couldn't forget that she also mentioned her jealousy for him being seventeen before her.

His friends were home that made him cry for the again in the day that Lily had to divert with her silly jokes every time he came close to tears.

Petunia and Mr. Evans had made him a chocolate cake, that she argued was a little burnt because of him, though, Severus thought it tasted great. He never had admitted this loudly but he had always known that Petunia was a great cook. They would still always fight in the kitchen, for the number one place.

At the end of the day, Mrs. Evans had taken him to his mother's grave. Another reason for him to hug her crazy and cry for eternity but he had just given her a smile with his eyes holding great gratitude.

He didn't know for how long he just sat there with his mother's grave, talking and telling her about random things, until Mrs. Evans called him to get to home again. He had reluctantly gotten up to get to the car.

The day was as happy as anything could be. Nobody had ever before made him feel so special. He had slept with a smile on his face.

But now, when he thought about that, it sounded so stupid to hear, the first spell he did when he turned seventeen. He had tried the Accio spell first to bring himself a comb. Honestly. But at that time, he and Lily had jumped on the bed in the excitement. How childish.

Now, was the next day and he was leaning on the desk chair of Lily's room, rocking it back and forth even though it wasn't meant to do so. Sirius had written him a letter. And as shocked as he was by it, he also couldn't deny the fact that Sirius could be so foolish to do so on the last day of holidays.

As Severus read through the entire thing, he rolled his eyes on the tale of the happenings of the Yule Ball that were described in the letter. He had known everything, seen it all rather, but then Sirius didn't know that. He had happily written about him and Remus being together now, exaggerating it all, of course.

Though, Severus had to chuckle and admit that the way of writing was rather hilarious. Sirius was such a hopeless romantic in that.

That is when another owl came to his window. He opened it and took the letter it was carrying. He opened the scroll and rolled his eyes again. It was from Remus. He had described the entire Yule Ball incident to him too, though, in a slightly different way.

Severus was amazed to notice that both of the stupid Gryffindors had written to him on the same date. How idiotic! Who chooses the last day? Oh… that is because, so that, they could easily talk about that the next day. How moronic could one be?! Severus had to admit they both- Sirius and Remus were meant for each other.

Lily entered her room then and jumped on him from the back, startling him, or giving him a mini heart attack.

"Lily…" he breathed.

"Yes" she grinned.

"You scared me!"

"Intended to" she kissed his cheek and separated, noticing two parchments in his hand. "What are these?"

He looked up at her and held them in her face. "Get the shock yourself"

Her eyes widened as she read the sender's name. "Sirius and Remus wrote to you" she whispered in disbelief.

"That seems so" he took them from her and placed on the table.

"What is in that?"

"About the Yule ball" he rolled his eyes. "Saying that they got together"

Lily chuckled and shook her head. "Hopeless Romantics"

Severus suddenly pulled her closer by her waist as she gasped. "Aren't all Gryffindors so?"

She blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck, lacing them at the back. "Umm hmm"

And that is when the irritating bell rand and they separated. "Coming!" Petunia shouted from downstairs and then gasped, opening the door.

"Who's that?" Severus frowned, asking Lily.

She shrugged. "I have no idea… we can continue, couldn't we?" she said in a seductive voice, returning to her previous position.

Severus smirked and stepped closer, locking his lips with hers, almost getting oblivious in the current. They moaned and rubbed their bodies against each other's. And as always, Lily's lips moved to his neck to suck on it. She paused for a second for Severus denial but it never came so, she hornily stroked on him.

He let Lily do whatever she was. Now, he was capable of hiding it with magic, anyways. He moaned in the pleasure she was capable of giving him every time. Oh, blazes! She was… obliviating!

They heard a roar of laughter from downstairs before separating apart, feeling a little dizzy.

"Let's go downstairs" Lily grabbed on his hand and pulled him out of the door, giving him time to only being able to pull his collar up.

They climbed down the stairs and into the living room where Petunia was sitting… with a girl. Lily and Severus awkwardly came to the front, raising their eyebrows on the girl and silently trying to ask Petunia, who was she?

She had dark hair and dark eyes, and dark skin tone. She was wearing a light denim dress, that suited her frame and had a book… No, it was an album or something open in her lap. She looked up at them and smiled that made Severus and Lily force a smile. She seemed pleasant, though.

"You must be Lily… and you Severus?" she asked sweetly, pointing on them.

They nodded and again shot a questioning glance to Petunia who was merely sitting with and amused expression.

The girl stood up and held one of her hands out. "Hi, I am April… Petunia's girlfriend"

Severus and Lily's eyebrows disappeared in their hairlines as their eyes widened. Lily came to her senses soon and instantly took her hand and shook it. "Petunia talked about you…"

"Nice to finally meet you" Severus held his hand out that April took.

"So…" Lily shot another questioning glance at Petunia for a very obvious question.

Petunia had something else in mind though. She cleared her throat and motioned them all to take seats. She gave a nod in April's direction who laughed.

"No need to worry" April began. "I know about you two and I know the wizarding world is for real"

"You do?" Severus whispered.

"Yes" she smiled but there was a tinge of sadness that seemed evident.

"How? Are you…?" Lily asked, hesitantly.

April laughed and shook her head. "No, no. I am not a witch, though, my parents were one of you"

"So, you…?" Severus didn't complete the sentence. He didn't want to offend her in any sense.

"Yes, I am a squib"

"Oh…" and so, their questions were cleared.

"We are not very well taken; I wouldn't be surprised if you both don't like me"

"NO!" Severus and Lily shook their heads furiously. "We are fine with you"

"I am an oddity in my house too" Lily shrugged.

"Yeah… a Muggleborn. But that's better than being a squib and getting abandoned"

"ABANDONED!?" Lily and Severus screeched.

April shrugged but kept smiling. "Well, yes, I was just a little girl when thrown out of the house"

Petunia kept a comforting hand on her thigh and she kissed her in thankfulness.

Severus and Lily didn't know what to say. Her parents had abandoned her for being a squib. How barbaric! How could they do that to a little soul?! Had they no heart!

"I am sorry…" Lily whispered.

April gave a hollow chuckle. "No need… I am fine now"

"Where did you go?"

"Oh… there was this muggle orphanage that took me in till I was capable of being independent"

"An orphanage?"

April nodded and picked her album up. "I brought this here to show something to Petunia, but I believe you both will have a look too. Hmm?"

Severus and Lily leaned to see in the album.

April flipped the pages and got almost to the start of the album. She pushed it Severus and Lily's direction so, that they can have a better look.

"This is my orphanage" she pointed on the first picture on the page.

It was the picture of the gate with the kids standing in front of it. They didn't look very happy. The top of the gate had the name of the orphanage- Wool's Orphanage.

"Was it nice?" Severus asked, because the kids' faces said otherwise.

April chuckled. "No. If you want a precise answer. But then, it was the place that gave me roof to rest under, bread to eat and clothes to wear"

"I understand"

Lily was flipping the pages of the albums that was filled with pictures. She came to one when Severus peeked in too and leaned forward to have a better look before gasping.

He slapped a hand on his mouth and turned to Lily sharply. She eyed him confusedly and he kept a finger to the picture he saw. She still didn't understand what was so weird in a picture where kids were standing on a footpath and were actually looking happy.

"What, Sev?" she suppressed her whisper.

He pointed his finger to a hill, that was very much behind the kids and almost non-visible in the frame of the picture. "That"

"What is that?"

"Oh, yes, I forgot you were possessed when you actually saw the picture"

"So, what is it, Severus?" she asked pressingly.

"That's the hill I was taking about… the picture we got near the diadem, that Selene lost in the forest and now, is with Dumbledore"

"Oh… So, what about it?"

"That's somehow connected to Tom Riddle" he said the last two words even silently.

"What are you both whispering about?" April asked out of nowhere, making them jump and eyeing them curiously.

"We… umm-we, were just looking at the picture" Severus stuttered.

She raised an amused eyebrow. "You can ask me about anything"

Severus and Lily eyed each other, almost telepathically deciding that they could ask before nodding.

"Umm… so" Lily moved the book in April's direction a little, so that she can see what she was pointing to. "What is this place?"

"Oh, they just took us to muggle tramps to roam and fool around a little after we were ten"

Severus shook his head. "No-"

"Why the hell are you both annoying her?" Petunia cut him and said exasperatedly.

April rolled her eyes. "Come on, Petunia, let them ask. I anyways, never had an annoying little brother or sister" she winked in Severus and Lily's direction.

That made Lily and Severus turn red. They weren't annoying, were they? And then she herself allowed them to ask questions. So, it was fine.

Petunia huffed and leaned back on the sofa. It was her and her girlfriend's day, that both Severus and Lily were ruining by being damn irritating. She groaned internally. She could have just given them some sleep draught to get them off for some time.

April spoke again. "So, what were you asking, Severus?"

"Ah, yes… that what is this place?" he pointed at the hill in the back.

April had to squint to get a good look of that part of the picture. She straightened and sighed. "We were never allowed there"

"Why?" Severus and Lily frowned.

She shrugged. "Something happened there. Three kids from our orphanage went up there but two of them never returned and the third also disappeared after a few days or so"

Severus and Lily's eyes widened and they turned to each other before turning to April again. "You know who the third kid was?" he asked.

April quirked her lips, trying to dig into her memory but found none. "No. And I don't believe anyone know who the person was, but wasn't seen soon after the incident"

"Have you heard anything about that person?"

"Not much. But people say he was weird and nobody liked to play with him or something like that… he had a disturbance in his head was one of the things I have heard"

"Something else-?"

"Enough, Severus!" Petunia hissed making Severus shrink back in the couch.

"Petunia" April warned her lightly before turning to Severus and smiling again. "Yes, some people say he also killed… like ones he killed a rabbit… and ones he killed a kid of the orphanage"

Lily and Severus sucked in breaths. This was it. One of the horcruxes were hidden there. And the person April was talking about was Tom Riddle. Only he could do all sorts of killings even as a kid.

They both stood up to go upstairs and discuss about it more but paused to face April again.

"Thank you, April, we really appreciate that you told us about all of this, but may I make another request?" Severus asked.

"Yes" she replied, frowning.

"Would you please not tell anyone, what all we asked you?"

"Sure"

"Thank you, once more"

Lily spoke then. "Well, I see Petunia is a little too excited to make a conversation with you so, we'll leave you two here" she winked to Petunia. "And it was great meeting you, you both seem nice together"

Petunia and April blushed red.

"You two seem close too" April tried to get attention away from her, waving a hand between Severus and Lily, making them blush this time.

"Well… we are together" Lily looked away, smiling to herself. This was the first time someone asked about them and she didn't have to say that, 'We are just friends'. She loved this new relationship and being Severus' girlfriend. She almost giggled at the thought.

Severus was in turn burning with embarrassment. He pulled Lily by her hand and ran to the stairs.

Lily halted him. "Come on, Sev, you don't have to be so shy"

"I am not… it's just, it still seems surreal"

"It is not… trust me" she lifted herself on her toes and leaned on his chest before touching his lips very lightly with her tongue.

That sent shivers of pleasure to his spine and the hands. He would never know from where did she learn all those techniques to please him. He hoped he could too.

She pulled his hands towards herself and brought them to either side of her waist. "Umm hmm… nice" she whispered, closing her eyes.

He hesitantly let his thumb slip inside her t-shirt to touch her skin and massaged lightly. He smiled at the sensation. Feeling Lily was awesome. "Nice?"

"Uh…" she moaned. "Take your hand in…"

He did, but they seemed to start shaking in the slightest. His palms and fingers were holding her waist and he rubbed them up ad down. That was in fact making his own groin swell but he didn't pay any heed to it for now. He closed his eyes and buried his face in her red hair. Hot. He licked her lightly and she sucked in breath.

She brought her own hands and kept them over Severus', moving them further upwards. He paused for a second but she forced his hands up in her bra. She knew unless she gave him a definite permit, he wouldn't do any of that in reluctance.

The weight of her breasts and the hotness in her bra, in his hands made the blood rush faster to his groin as Lily pulled closer to him. She took his thumbs and touched them on her nipples and she moaned. All of it was making her extremely wet but it was so pleasant that she didn't think about the discomfort for once.

Soft and plump. Severus rubbed on her nipples. They got erect on a single touch, though. He suppressed the urge to bring his lips on them.

He was concentrating on that, when suddenly a hand had snaked inside his pants to grab his bums making him squeak. The other one went in as suddenly and rubbed up and down. Oh… Lily knew him well!

She brought one hand out and shoved it smoothly in his t-shirt, upwards. He froze for a second before relaxing and letting it go. She touched his skin on the stomach, trying to savor it all at once. She suppressed her urge to get him naked again. At least the chest. Her hand went even upwards to his chest and he moaned as she smirked. He liked it. He was getting hard and she was feeling it. She could do so much to him.

Their faces instantly came face to face with the other and their eyes met. They closed eyes soon after, sucked in breath and locked their lips.

Severus opened his and took his mouth in his, smooching them. Lily took the hint and opened her mouth too, sucking in air from his mouth. Their tongues met and the current ran down to their legs making them weak at the knees. They moaned and took short breaths between the huge snogs they were making.

Lily bit his lower lip and he moaned. He in turn bit the corner of her upper lip, making her entire body tense and fixed on his for any kind of support.

They heard some kind of commotion from out of the door, in almost front of they were standing and having… their moment. Must have been some cat or a street dog.

But it wasn't. The door opened and two people entered, gasping. The things dropped from their hands and they turned their faces away from Lily and Severus.

They broke apart the moment they heard something dropping. Their eyes widened to see Mr. and Mrs. Evans standing, facing away from them. And in the situation Severus was, he had to sit as soon as he could. Finding no better place, he sat on the second stair, he was standing near, getting furiously red in the face. He could feel the blood getting in his head and his ears getting heated by that.

Lily simply stood, her head bowed and red, waiting for any kind of rebuke. But when it didn't come, she decided to start the conversation. She cleared her throat. "Mum? Dad?"

Mr. and Mrs. Evans slowly tilted their own red and embarrassed faces to them. They themselves looked ashamed on entering when their daughter and her supposed boyfriend were having an intimate moment.

"Well… umm… you could be in your room, Lily" Mrs. Evans said, not meeting eyes with her daughter.

"I- Mum… we are sorry" Lily tried lamely.

"Nothing to be sorry about" Mr. Evans said awkwardly, picking the dropped things up.

"Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Evans" Severus whispered dutifully, otherwise he was wishing to be swallowed by the floor.

"Umm… Severus… Go to your room, child" Mrs. Evans said, understanding his situation.

He gave Lily a look before getting up slowly and running upstairs to his room.

Lily sighed. So, it was left for her first.

"You wouldn't ask Sev to leave, would you?" she asked warily. She didn't know if her parents would feel as them living in the same household inappropriate.

"No, Lily! Of course, not!" Mr. Evans prompted, almost looking offended by just the question.

"I was just asking because… you know…?"

"We know, Lily" Mrs. Evans eyed him sternly. "And we would appreciate if you both would behave"

"We will, Mum" Lily said meekly. "You don't find it weird, do you?"

To her surprise, both of her parents laughed. "We already had known about you both being together one day"

"You did?" she turned red.

"Well, of course. You both were so close and if he knew that you stole my bras, Lily then obviously, he knew quite some things" Mrs. Evans teased, making Lily's face burn.

"Umm… may I go to my room, please"

Her parents laughed again. "Go!"

And she ran to her room.

*Page Break*

Severus was disappointed by the fact that Lily perhaps, wouldn't be able to get to his room that night. Obviously, her parents had seen them as… he groaned and hid his face in the bed covers. Couldn't they have been a little more careful? No. They had to run all those expeditions in front of the front door. How foolish could they be?

He wanted to be with her on the last day of their holidays. From the next day, they would be separate anyways, but he lost the chance. Now, he had to be alone for the night. He wasn't ever afraid of remaining alone in a room, but now, when Lily wasn't here, the room seemed haunting. He covered himself till the top of his head under the covers and dived into sleep.

But then he forgot that Lily had an annoying habit of proving him wrong. Though, sometimes it wasn't that annoying. She was so grateful for the first time for their parents' room being downstairs. She tip-toed into Severus' room and turned the night lamp that was kept on his bedside table. She rolled her eyes to find him beneath the covers, fast asleep. Couldn't he even wait for her a little longer?

She pulled the covers down making Severus open his eyes instantly. His eyes widened and he was about to scream when she suppressed it, pressing a hand on his lips.

He calmed down after realizing that it was Lily. He took her hand off and rubbed his own eyes.

"What are you doing here?"

Lily winked and smiled, making space for herself under the covers, beside him. "Spending the last night of the holidays with you, stupid"

He kissed her. "I was waiting"

She snorted. "You were asleep, Sev"

"I fell asleep waiting for you" he argued.

"Whatever, Sev" she rolled her eyes.

He kissed her again. "We aren't making out, just sleeping. Okay?"

Lily winked. "Sure" she got under the covers, pulling him with herself.

She wrapped an arm around his middle, burying her face in his chest, while he wrapped around her middle and buried his face in his hair. Both fell asleep almost instantly, savoring the smells that they loved coming from each other.

*Page Break*

The next day wasn't as awkward as Severus thought it would be. Though, in the car, while going to the King's Cross station, Petunia sat at the back seat between Severus and Lily. She kept on giving them amused and teasing looks all the way to the station.

Lily as always gave the parting hugs to her parents and surprisingly Petunia, this time. While Mrs. Evans pulled Severus into a hug too. He hadn't expected that, this time, but he got one. Mr. Evans patted his back and they all said their goodbyes.

Lily and Severus entered the barrier of the nine and three-quarters and let themselves in, in a… not very crowded platform. They frowned and looked at each other, before Lily checked her watch and rolled her eyes.

"We are really early, Sev"

"Oh… why not waste any time any and find an empty apartment" he suggested.

"Come on, then"

And they stepped into the tarin, dragging their trunks and bags in, again forgetting that here anyone was allowed to use their wands to at least spell their luggage lighter.

"That one" Lily pointed to one that didn't seem occupied.

So, they walked in only to find Selene and Shane kissing like hell. Lily and Severus didn't bother to get aside, this was their everyday thing to enter into their weird moments. Now, it was almost ordinary.

"Give it a rest, love-penguins" Severus muttered, stacking his trunk and making way for Lily to keep hers.

Selene and Shane broke apart, as if nothing ever happened. It was actually so normal for them now.

"So, what are you looking so smug about?" Selene asked, holding her chin up at Severus.

He raised a smug eyebrow and smirked. "What do you expect from a Slytherin?"

"What is it, Severus?" Shane smiled but asked in a bored tone, wanting to get away with all of the dramatics. His life for now, was filled with them, because of their pregnancy and Selene's mood swings that got too intense sometimes.

Severus held his arms out and lifted his chin up. "Information, people"

Lily sucked in an offended breath. "I was there too"

Severus turned to her. "You would have ignored the hint, if I wasn't there to recognize"

"Fine. I give that to you"

"Then tell, what is it?" Selene asked, impatiently.

"Let, Austin and Charm come too" he said, patiently.

She huffed and crossed her arms on her chest. "Let them come then"

"Obviously"

And so, they were almost asleep when Austin and Charm arrived. The state of Austin told them that he had come from Marlene, while Charm… Ah, she was always the late comer.

"Now, all are here, Severus… began the tale" Selene yawned.

"Don't sleep now, Selene" Shane yawned himself. "Or you'll be up till late at night"

The others shook their head while Severus straightened. "So, what happened is…"

And so, he started telling about all he learnt about the next horcrux from April.
