Curtains closed during the late afternoon, the window pane was concealed by crimson material. Candles were lit on the two bedside tables, as wax dripped down the stems and onto the wooden surface. The double bed had a canopy frame with four posts, dark wood, with white glitter curtains that appeared tied to each bed post. Golden pillows, a matching gold duvet, along with a dark bed sheet. There appeared to be a set of cushions sitting at the end of this bed as well.

Warm.

Along with this golden-coloured duvet, a stream of long cyan tresses rested over the cover like a river.

Staring down at Fubuki with those green eyes, Psykos' glasses wound up falling onto Fubuki's face by accident. A reddish hue dusted her pale features in a heartbeat, the blue-haired woman simply snickered at the scene. A wide smile showed up on Fubuki's face, she joined in with Psykos' laughs. Picking up those rectangle-rimmed glasses that landed right on Fubuki's collarbones, Fubuki placed them back onto Psykos' face.

"Ah, thank you, my dear," she spoke with a small smile, emitting that same soothing voice. "I always appreciate your help, even if this was just a simple thing."

"The pleasure is all mine," answered Fubuki.

Enveloping her arms around Psykos' torso, Fubuki kept the blue-haired woman held close to the warmth of her own body. They were both tucked away in bed, hiding underneath the duvet. Psykos appeared to be laying on top of the other woman. When Fubuki embraced her torso, the blue-haired woman leaned in to stroke Fubuki's cheek.

What broke their eye contact was a sudden buzzing on the bedside table, as Psykos glanced in the direction of the phone. Leaning over to look at this vibrating mobile, she merely groaned with who she spotted on the screen.

It was her.

"It appears to be your older sister calling. Were you expecting any phone calls this afternoon, my dear Fubuki?"

"Oh, gosh. No, I wasn't," replied Fubuki in alarm. "Sorry. I suppose she's just worried about me. I told her that I went out shopping this afternoon and then I was spending time with you. My big sis is just checking that I'm okay, I'm sure of it."

"What a lovely friendship you two have," mentioned the blue-haired. But then, she glanced at the phone again and pulled a face of disgust. "Doesn't she...I don't know...have any monsters to fight? Patrols to take care of? If Tatsumaki already knows you're here, then she shouldn't be contacting you."

Immediately, Fubuki grabbed her mobile phone and switched off the device. Setting the phone back on the table, Fubuki returned her attention back to Psykos.

"Sorry about that," she apologised.

Placing an index finger against Fubuki's lips, Psykos merely smirked.

"Shhh," she intoned. "It's fine, Fubuki, really. You can always talk to her telepathically. I don't mind."

Leaning in, Fubuki gave Psykos a warm cuddle, enough to talk in her ear.

"What pleasure do we have if I'm too busy talking to someone else? I value company."

"Hm. I like the sound of that."

"Shall I brew us a tea? I'm rather parched," offered Fubuki as she raised her torso. She still had Psykos in her arms, but she was just about ready to let go of the embrace. "A strong matcha tea? Sencha? Houjicha?"

"Really, matcha would be ideal."

Rising out of the double bed they were laying in, Fubuki picked out her dressing gown from the wardrobe and wrapped herself in the warm fluffy material. This dressing gown consisted of white fur, matching her traditional fur coat. She hummed in delight, keeping herself snug.

"I'll be back in ten minutes with a tea set," stated Fubuki.

Exiting the bedroom, Fubuki walked into the kitchen and started to pour cold water into a hot water pot. While she waited for this water to boil, the dark-haired woman thought about Tatsumaki. The vibrating phone was like a wake-up call for her. Both Saitama and Psykos alarmed Fubuki about Tatsumaki constantly overbearing her, and yet…Fubuki felt worried about her big sister.

'Thank you for calling, big sis,' she spoke in her head. 'I'll be back home this evening,' she informed Tatsumaki in a telepathic message.

By that point the water had already boiled, and Fubuki immediately picked up the hot water pot and poured this water into a teapot. Matcha green tea leaves were added in the strainer, giving the water a rich green infusion. Pulling out a tray decorated with flowers and vibrant colours, Fubuki set the teapot and two cups onto this tray.

'Answer the phone, Fubuki,' a voice demanded in her head.

Grumbling at this sudden message, Fubuki jolted with surprise when she felt arms hugging her from behind. Psykos held her close. The blue-haired woman appeared to be taller than Fubuki by a few inches.

"Fubuki, darling," she started as nimble fingers ran through Fubuki's chin-length dark hair. "Would you like to sleep here tonight? Of course, if you don't have any other plans, that is."

"That does sound nice," answered Fubuki. "I'd like that a lot."

"Is everything okay, Fubuki? You're shaking. Let's go back into the bedroom," she patted Fubuki's shoulder.

Turning to face Psykos, the dark-haired woman simply smiled. The tea tray was already in her hands, and Fubuki started to walk back to the bedroom with the other woman tagging along behind.

"Did something happen in the kitchen?"

"No, I'm fine. Let's just enjoy our tea," snickered Fubuki. "I think we'll have a good time tonight."

Setting the tray down onto the table in the bedroom, Fubuki sat on the carpet as she poured herself a nice brew of green tea. She also poured a cup of tea for Psykos as well.

"Let's just enjoy ourselves," she mentioned again.

"Well, all right."

Sitting with Fubuki on the carpet, Psykos looked into those matching green eyes as she held onto Fubuki's free hand. Her crimson-coated lips curled into a small smile in return. She watched Fubuki take a sip of her hot tea, and soon Psykos did the same thing.

"Remember, Fubuki, tell me everything. We were best friends before we started to date," she reminded the green esper.

"I know. I understand. I love it here with you."

"I remember when you were little, so self-conscious about your appearance," mentioned Psykos. "Whatever were you thinking?"

Stirring her cup of tea with a silver teaspoon, Fubuki chuckled at Psykos' remark about the past. Really, it wasn't long ago, seeing as Fubuki was still in her early twenties. Before Fubuki began to respond, she set the silver teaspoon down onto the tea tray. The green tea tasted strong, earthly, and was perfect as an esper's beverage.

"And yourself," she replied with a snicker. "You were always thinking of ways to hide your freckles. It became an obsessive beauty routine…every morning."

"Ah, you remember well. That is remarkable."

Glancing up from Fubuki's face, Psykos cocked her head to one side slightly as she caught sight of a shadow dancing on the wall. This appeared to be a small shadow and it was shaped as a human figure. The blue-haired woman swallowed her own spit.

"It appears we have a guest, Fubuki."

Fubuki glanced over her shoulder, facing the window now.

Suddenly, without the two even approaching the window, the crimson curtains suddenly drew back and revealed the crystal clear window pane. A floating green orb happened to be outside with a look of disgust painted on her face. She wore a pout on her lips, furrowed her green eyebrows, and her slender arms were folded over her chest.

"Big sis?" Fubuki raised a curious black brow, spotting the small green esper floating at the window. "W-Why are you here, big sis?"

"Ah, at the bitch's place," grumbled Tatsumaki. "Fubuki, I've been worried about you, why else am I here?"

Closing her eyes, Fubuki let out an annoyed huff.

"Big sis, I'll be back home sometime tomorrow," stated Fubuki firmly before she took another sip of her green tea. "There's no need to worry about me. I'll be okay."

Averting her gaze from the two females in the bedroom, Tatsumaki let out a spoiled 'hmph'.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, Fubuki," groaned the small esper. "I guess…it's good that you're doing things on your own. But next time, please tell me when exactly you'll be back. Don't just make things up."

"Really?!" Psykos turned to Fubuki, eyes open wide.

"Mhm."

"I see…"

Even though Tatsumaki soared away from the window, the sudden tension still bloomed in the atmosphere. Fubuki could feel her heart practically beat out of her chest violently, she held a hand to her heart as a way to ease the feeling. Placing her cup of tea back onto the tray, Fubuki raised this hand and used her powers to immediately draw the crimson curtains together again.

Unamused.

"Come here," encouraged Psykos.

Pulling Fubuki into an embrace, this cuddle made Fubuki feel better again already. Fubuki smiled, having her face nuzzled into the nook of Psykos' neck.

"Mm. Thank you," she mumbled on Psykos' shoulder. "This is comforting."

"Quite welcome, Fubuki."

Pulling away from the loving embrace, Fubuki gazed into Psykos' jade eyes and presented a smile. She picked up her cup of tea again and took another sip.

"Even then, she'll always be around to check up on me," shrugged Fubuki. "I'm used to it now."
