Chapter One - The Plans
Inside the office at the club, Lester Crest stands before a bulletin board, it's riddled with pictures, notes, maps, etc, etc, plans for the heist at the union depository. Also there are Michael DeSanta, Franklin Clinton, and Trevor Phillips.
Lester - Gentlemen, here are our options, Subtle, or Obvious, what will it be?
Michael walks forward, he studies the plans for a moment.
Michael - Both.
Lester - What?!
Michael - You heard me, Lester. Both.
Frank - Shit.
Trevor - Always the attention seeker.
Lester - I was afraid you were gonna say that. No matter, good thing I planned ahead.
Michael - Did you now?
Lester - I always plan ahead with an ace up my sleeve. Okay, if you're gonna do both, we're gonna need a big team.
Michael - How big?
Lester - Twelve, roughly. Four drivers, four gunmen, and a hacker. Any extra personnel that comes along the way would be a benefit. I'll contact you when I get everything set up, until then sit tight, and don't draw attention to yourself.
He then turns to Trevor.
Lester - Especially you.
Trevor gives him an annoyed look.
Michael - Understood.
Lester turns to Franklin.
Lester - Franklin, about your friend, Lamar.
Frank - What about him?
Lester - He's good with a weapon, is he not?
Frank - I guess.
Lester - Good, bring him in on this.
Frank - Aight.
Franklin leaves the room.
Trevor - I'm outta here.
Lester turns to Trevor.
Lester - Oh, and Trevor.
Trevor - Yeah?
Lester - If there's anyone in your neck of the woods that'll be of any help to us, bring them in.
Trevor - No problemo.
Trevor leaves the room, leaving Michael and Lester alone.
Lester - Are you sure you wanna do this?
Michael - Yeah.
Lester - You know the risk you're taking?
Michael - I've been taking risks since I came out of retirement.
Lester - Hope you know what you're getting into, the possibility that none of you might not make it out alive.
Michael - It's a risk I'll take.
Lester - I'll call you when I get everything ready.
Michael - You do that.
Michael exits the office, Lester goes back to the board, and studies the plans again.
In the forest on the outside of the city, a small group of deer are waking around. A gunshot is heard, one of them is struck and hits the ground, the rest of them scatter, another gunshot is heard, it's Trevor and Cletus, they are hunting.
Cletus - That's what you're gonna do, Trevor?
Trevor - Yup.
Trevor shoots at a deer, killing it in the process.
Cletus - Good shot. That'll be a lot of money you'll be making.
Cletus shoots at a deer.
Trevor - Right in the neck.
Cletus - I'd help you out, but I got my business to take care of. There's been a lot of demand lately.
Trevor - I know what you mean.
Trevor shoots at another deer.
Trevor - Taking out competition is tiring, but at the end of the day, I win.
He fires off another round, this time almost shooting someone.
Random Guy - Watch it, Asshole!
Trevor - Fuck you!
He fires again, shooting that person.
Cletus - You shot him in the ass.
Trevor - That's what I call perfect aim. I'll see you later, Cletus.
Cletus - Sure thing, Trevor.
Trevor walks away, and heads toward his truck, he gets in, pulls out his cell phone, and dials a number, the line rings.
Trevor - I'm horny, clear your schedule.
Ursula - I'll be at the marina, come pick me up.
He hangs up the phone, and drives away.
At his new home in the Vinewood Hills, Franklin is on the phone.
Frank - I'm telling you, Lamar, this time it's legit.
Lamar - For real?
Frank - Yeah, we're gonna get paid this time.
Lamar - You better be right, nigga, I still ain't been paid for them cars we picked up for that rich dude.
Frank - We'll take care of that, Michael is gonna talk to the guy, and sort this shit out.
Lamar - Creepy dude better do that, cause if he don't, I'll go over there, fuck up both his and that rich dude's house.
Frank - Man, you can't leave your front yard without someone trying to kick your ass.
Lamar - Later, fool.
Frank - Later.
Frank hangs up his phone, and he sits on his couch, looking out the window, seeing the city, Chop is asleep on the floor.
In the DeSanta home, Michael is in his living room, watching an old black and white noir film, he's on the phone.
Amanda - Michael, when can we go back home?
Michael - Not yet, I've got a few things to take care of, after that we'll be okay.
Amanda - You sure?
Michael - Have I ever lied to you?
Amanda - Don't even get me started.
Michael - Look, Amanda, just give me a couple days, and we'll be back to the way things were.
Amanda - Will that lunatic Trevor be gone as well?
Michael - I can't make that promise, but I'll talk to him.
Amanda - Please do.
Michael - Tell Tracey and Jimmy to stay out of trouble.
Amanda - I love you, Michael.
Michael - I know.
They both hang up, Michael continues watching his movie.
End of Chapter One.
