What's good my fellow Slayers and Huntsmen! Welcome to chapter 5 of RWBY: DSR!

I had to split this into two parts because it became way too long.

This chapter will just be a retelling of episode 2 of Demon Slayer, it'll get more interesting in the second part.

If you want, feel free to skip over this chapter if you know what happens. I just thought I'd give you something while I work on part 2.

That said, I'd like to thank all of you for your support! I can't believe even ten people would be so interested in my story, let alone almost 30!

Really, I just started this because I was bored. But as I kept coming up with ideas, I became even more passionate about it.

I started rewatching both shows, as well as reading the wikis. (Spoiled for all of Demon Slayer for myself btw, it seems I became too passionate for my own good |: )

I learned all sorts of things about both shows, my brain is constantly in overdrive with new ideas. I can't wait for you to see what I have planned!

Anyway, without further ado, let's get on with the show!

*I do not own RWBY or Demon Slayer. Both shows/manga and all their characters belong to their respective owners.

Chapter 5 - Total Concentration Breathing: Part 1

Tanjiro Kamado

In a large area filled with square plow fields. A man was plowing one of said fields with his wife.

"Excuse me," The man looks up to see Tanjiro, "Would it be okay if I took that basket, straw, and some bamboo."

"Uh, sure. Help yourself, but the basket is covered with holes so…" The man warned.

"Thank you, I'll gladly pay you for it." Tanjiro offered.

"No no, it's fine," The man politely declined, "After all, that basket is full of holes."

"Please, I insist." Tanjiro persisted.

"No really, it's alright. You can have the bamboo and straw for free too." The man said, rejecting the boy's offer again.

"Let me pay you!" Tanjiro demanded as he reached into his wallet, making it clear that he wasn't backing down.

"I said it's fine, you stubborn kid!" The man raised his voice, holding his hand out to stop the boy who was clearly too nice for his own good.

Tanjiro then took the man's hand and shoved a very small amount of lien into it, hurting the poor guy's wrist by accident.

"Please accept this small offering for your troubles!" Tanjiro yelled out before running away with the materials he asked for. "Thank you very much!"

The man looked at his hand before yelling out in pain. "OWCH!" He yelped, dropping the money he was forcibly given.

And that's how Tanjiro Kamado became the first person in Remnant to reverse-mug someone.

Tanjiro arrived at a cave where Nezuko was, except that he couldn't see her inside.

"Huh, Nezuko?" He called out.

"She's gone!" He thought in alarm

"Hm." Nezuko peeked her head out of a hole in the ground. "There she is." Tanjiro felt relieved.

"Hmmm." She hummed in a displeased manner as she stared at her brother.

"Nezuko…" Tanjiro said to himself, noticing her displeasure.

"She dug a hole?" The young boy observed. "My kid sister's turned into a mole." He stated in his head as Nezuko hummed in discomfort once again.

"And she's upset," Tanjiro added, "she must really want to avoid the sun."

When they last saw each other, Mr. Tomioka told the boy that he should never let Nezuko be exposed to sunlight. Tanjiro did his best to abide by this.

However, it would make traveling very difficult if they had to stop during the day. Which is why Tanjiro had "bought" the basket and materials.

"Wait here for a second." Tanjiro told his sister as he went to work.

He used the straw and bamboo and tied it around the basket to increase its size and cover up the holes. He also created arm straps for it.

"Nezuko?" Tanjiro called out after he finished and knelt down before the hole his sister was in. "Nezuko?"

He held the basket in front of Nezuko. "Do you think you can fit in this?" He asked. "I want to try moving during the day too. I'll carry you, okay?"

"Can you fit? In here? Basket." Tanjiro said while pointing to the basket as if he was talking to a toddler. He laid the basket down horizontally for his sister to crawl inside.

Nezuko got out of her hole and tried to crawl into the basket, but she was too big to fit. She gave up and just dropped to the floor, her upper body still in the basket.

"I guess not." Tanjiro stated. But he soon smiled to himself while looking at his grown up little sister.

"I can't believe how much she's grown," Tanjiro said in his head, "It seemed like only yesterday that she was half that size."

Tanjiro then remembered how Nezuko grew in size when she became a demon. He had another idea.

"Nezuko, remember when you became big like an adult earlier? Can you do the opposite? Get smaller?" He asked.

"Come on. Get smaller Nezuko." Tanjiro cheered while patting the demon girl's back. She tried again to get in the basket. But this time, she causes the basket to flip to a vertical position as she stared shrinking.

After some shuffling, Nezuko's head popped out from the basket. "Great job, Nezuko!" Tanjiro praised as he began petting her head. This seemed to had made Nezuko very happy.

"That's a good girl, Nezuko! I'm so proud!" Tanjiro felt weird for talking to his sister like a pet, but Nezuko didn't seem to mind.

As the sun began to set, Tanjiro asked for directions from a woman with her son living in a house next to a clearing in the forest.

"Mt. Sagiri?" The woman asked. "If that's where you're heading, it's right across that mountain." The lady pointed to a mountain in the distance.

"But the sun is about to set. It can get dangerous at night, you know? Especially with all that luggage you're carrying." The lady warned with a bit of concern for the young boy.

"I'll be careful, don't worry." Tanjiro politely bowed to the woman and her son. "Thank you very much!"

Tanjiro began walking down the path towards the mountains before the woman called out. "People have been going missing lately, be careful!" The woman shouted. Tanjiro turned and waved back as he kept on walking.

It was now night time. Since the sun was down, Tanjiro decided to let Nezuko walk with him. He didn't know about Nezuko, but he couldn't see himself being comfortable in a small basket.

After an hour of walking in the dark, Tanjiro notices a light in the distance. As he and Nezuko got closer, he saw an old building with some stairs leading up to it where the light was coming from.

"There's a temple over there," Tanjiro pointed out, "There's a light inside so someone else should be there. Let's check it out."

Before they could, however, Tanjiro's nose picked up a scent he was all too familiar with.

"I smell blood!" Tanjiro stated as he started running up the stairs to the temple. "The mountain path is pretty rough, someone must've gotten hurt!" At least that was what he hoped had happened.

The two siblings reached the temple and Tanjiro quickly opened the door. "Are you oka…" Tanjiro cuts himself off as he sees a bunch of bloody corpses.

He saw a pale, muscular, strange looking man feeding on one of these bodies. The man had dark green hair, blue shorts, and a blue vest.

"What the hell?" The man said as he stopped feeding. "This is my turf. Anyone who dares to intrude on it…Will die, simple as that."

When the man turned to face the two Kamados, Tanjiro noted the razor sharp teeth and blood in his mouth. It wasn't hard to connect the dots. "It's a demon!"

Nezuko Kamado

While Tanjiro was focused on the man-eating demon in front of him, his demonized little sister had other priorities.

She stared at the dead bodies, fighting her demonic urge to feed. Eating humans was wrong and she knew it. She had to snap out of it.

But then again…They're already dead, it wasn't like she'd be hurting them. There'd be nothing wrong with taking a little bite for herself, right?

As the Temple Demon got in a crouching position and licked the blood off of his fingers, Nezuko began drooling in hunger.

Tanjiro

"There's something off about you. Are you sure you're both human?" The demon asked as he got up and turned his body to face the duo.

Tanjiro stepped back as everyone stood in silence for a few seconds. The Temple Demon then leaped at Tanjiro at incredible speeds, pushing both of them outside.

As they fell, Tanjiro took out his hatchet and sliced the demon's throat, forcing the creature to do a backflip off of the boy.

Tanjiro landed on his bottom as the demon landed on his feet and observed the wound inflicted on him by the hatchet.

"A hatchet, huh? Not bad." The demon said as he reached for his neck. He was clearly unfazed by Tanjiro's attack.

"But a scratch like this…" The demon paused, "Means nothing to a demon like me. It should heal up in no time."

The blood coming from the demon's wound stopped falling as he said that. "See? The bleeding has already stopped." He said.

Tanjiro was shocked that the demon was already healed, not noticing Nezuko's own dilemma.

Tanjiro tried to get on his feet, but the demon moved on top of him in the blink of an eye. He pinned the poor boy down, one hand grabbing his neck and the other grabbing the arm with the hatchet.

"So fast! And ridiculously strong! There's no way I can overpower him!" Tanjiro thought as he was being choked by the demon.

"Nice try, but you won't get me twice!" The Temple Demon bragged. "Now, how about I snap your neck?"

Nezuko

Nezuko was starving. She just wanted a little bite because she was hungry, is that really a crime? Sure, Tanjiro would be mad at her but…Tanjiro…Tanjiro…"Tanjiro's in trouble!"

She had to save him, she had to save her big brother. "Protect your brother, nothing else matters. He's my family, I won't forgive anyone who hurts him!" Nezuko said in her head, as slits started to appear in her pupils.

She ran outside and saw that the demon was choking her brother. She ran up to the two and kicked the demon's head with full force.

The Temple Demon's head went flying off of his body, bouncing off a tree.

Tanjiro

Needless to say, Tanjiro was in utter shock after witnessing his kid sister's monstrous strength. The headless body of the demon went limp and fell on Tanjiro, who had the displeasure of seeing the inside of a demon's neck.

"GAHHHH ! ! !" Tanjiro yelped, pushing the demon body off of him. He then looked up at Nezuko who had an upset look on her face.

"She k-killed him!" He summarized. But he then realized something. "But, he's a demon too." He realized that Nezuko not only resisted the urge to feast the dead humans, but also protected him from her own kind.

"N-Nezuko…" Tanjiro stuttered, not noticing the headless demonic body reaching for him. Fortunately, Nezuko did notice and kicked the body away into a different tree.

"No way!" Tanjiro thought as he was shocked, "Did he just move without his head!?"

"You bastards!" Tanjiro heard a voice and turned to find the Temple Demon's severed head talking to them. "The girl is a demon! I thought there was something fishy about you two! What's a demon doing, teaming up with a human!?"

Today was just full of surprises, poor Tanjiro had trouble keeping up. "He's still talking!" Before he could recover from the shock, the demon's body got up and started running at the two siblings.

The demon jumped in the air and tried to drop an ax kick on Nezuko. The demon girl dodged just in time, the headless body leapt at her again.

The body of the Temple Demon began punching Nezuko, while she used her arms to block. "Leave her alone!" Tanjiro yelled out as he tried to charge the body with his hatchet.

However, Tanjiro saw something flying towards him as he ran. It was the demon's head which had sprouted out arms from the sides. Tanjiro swung his hatchet into the demon's mouth, trying to keep him away.

The demon's new arms grabbed on to Tanjiro's, trying to pull himself closer. Tanjiro looked behind him to see Nezuko knocked onto the ground. "Nezuko!" He called out.

The Temple Demon's body kicked Nezuko up off the ground, before kicking her in the face. He then picked up Nezuko one-handed by the shoulder and threw her deep into the forest, before jumping after her.

"Nezuko!" Tanjiro called out again. But his attention turned to the demon head, which appeared to have been smirking at the boy although it was hard to tell with the hatchet in his mouth.

"What is up with this guy, growing arms from his head!?" Tanjiro asked himself, becoming a bit irritated. "I have to help Nezuko! I don't have time for this!" Tanjiro failed to notice that the demon's hair was wrapping around the hatchet and beginning to wrap around his arms.

However, Tanjiro moved his head backwards while still holding the hatchet. "Get out of my way!" Tanjiro yelled out before moving his head forward and headbutting the Temple Demon while letting go of the hatchet.

Temple Demon

The demon was completely dazed from the unexpected headbutt. "What the hell…Just happened? I feel like I just got smashed by a giant rock!" The demon noted.

The boy who hit him grabbed the Temple Demob by his hair as he prepared to head but him again "This brat's head is…" He thought before their foreheads connected once again, "Hard as a rock!"

The brat in green then grabbed his hatchet which the dizzy demon was still holding on to, and threw it at a tree. The head was then pinned to the tree he hit.

"Okay!" The boy yelled out before running off. The demon head tried to escape but found it to be impossible.

"Damn it! I tried to wrap my hair around his weapon so I could grab it, but it ended up getting tangled!" The demon talked to himself, seeing how stupid his plan was. "I did not think this through…"

Tanjiro

"Nezuko! Where are you!?" Tanjiro called out while running through the forest. Eventually, he came upon a small clearing from the trees.

He saw his sister getting beaten by the Temple Demon's body. "Stop it!" Tanjiro's first instinct was to tackle the demon, and he did. But, Tanjiro found out that the clearing was right next to a tall cliff.

Tanjiro realized his blunder too late, as he and the demon body began to fall to their demise. But Tanjiro felt a stop in his fall, he looked down the cliff as the demon's separated body fell.

Tanjiro looked up to see that Nezuko had grabbed him by the collar of his haori and saved him just in time.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Temple Demon's body hit the ground with tremendous force…

Temple Demon

The demon head was still pinned against the tree, trying to untangle his hair. He was going to kill that hard-head little shit and the traitor if it was the last thing he-

"Gah!" The head felt a crap-ton of pain, causing him to pass out.

Tanjiro

Tanjiro and Nezuko stood in front of the demon head. The boy unsheathed a knife he was carrying with him as he stepped closer to the head.

"I wonder how many demons there are out there," Tanjiro wondered as he prepared to finish off the Temple Demon, "This isn't the scent of the one at my house. That was a different demon."

Tanjiro started breathing heavily as he worked up the courage to kill the demon. "But even so, I have to kill him so he doesn't hurt more people! I gotta do it!" Tanjiro said in his head.

"Do it!" Tanjiro tried to rile himself up, but he couldn't bring himself to stab the demon. He had never killed before, not even animals.

Even if the man in front of him was a man-eating demon, Tanjiro was still uncomfortable with the thought of ending someone's life.

But just then, Tanjiro felt a hand on his shoulder. He gasped and turned around to see a man with a red tengu mask along with a blue haori decorated with clouds and a white hood.

"That knife won't be enough to finish the job, boy." The strange man said.

"A goblin mask!? And I couldn't even hear his footsteps!" Pointed out the young Kamado. Not sensing any hostility from the man, Tanjiro faces the man.

"H-How can I finish him off?" He asked.

"Don't ask me!" The man scolded, "Or are you not capable of solving your own problems?"

Tanjiro was a little stunned, but he listened to the stranger and thought about another way to kill a demon.

"If stabbing it won't work…"Tanjiro continued to think until reaching a solution, "I'll have to crush his head!"

Tanjiro's eyes landed on a large rock. The masked man watched as Tanjiro picked up the rock and walked to the demon.

"To crush his skull, and smash it completely…" Tanjiro said in his head. "I'll need to pound his head with the rock many times."

"But…He'll suffer if I do that," Tanjiro hesitated, "Isn't there any way to finish him off painlessly."

Sakonji Urokodaki

The old man was not impressed by Tanjiro's hesitation caused by his extremely pure heart.

"This boy is not going to cut it," The man mentally sighed, "His seemingly endless kindness is only matched by his indecisiveness in the face of a difficult choice."

Urokodaki observed the scent that the boy was giving off, which was enough proof for the man that Tanjiro's resolve was still much too weak.

"He stands before a demon and yet, the scent of kindness remains." The man noted. "This kid will show empathy and compassion to anyone, even a demon. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same thing with a Grimm."

Tanjiro was shaking, still trying to figure out what to do. "Giyu…This boy will never make it."

Temple Demon

The demon head finally began to wake up, and looked around to see that he was still pinned to the tree.

"I blacked out for a second there," He thought, "Does that mean that my body is dead? I think I'm gonna be sick."

The demon then saw the boy who got the demon in this mess in the first place. "You!" The demon yelled out as he tried to reach for him to no avail.

"You bastard! I'll kill you! Get over here! I'll devour you damn it!" The demon continued to yell.

Tanjiro

As the demon kept yelling at him, Tanjiro noticed a light in the distance. The sun was coming up. "I took too long." The boy realized.

"I'm going to enjoy eating you more than-YAHHH ! ! !" The demon started to scream in agony as the sunlight reached him.

His small body began to burn as he continued to scream, until he burned into ash and was blown away by the wind leaving nothing but a hatchet.

Tanjiro dropped the rock from shock after witnessing such a horrifying scene. "It only takes that much sunlight to melt him!? No wonder Nezuko was hiding!"

After he said that, Tanjiro realized that Nezuko was no longer next to him, he instantly started to panic. He called out Nezuko's name and looked around.

"Wait, maybe she's in the temple!" Tanjiro thought before running inside the temple.

He sighed in relief at the sight of his sister sitting in the basket, which was in a corner where sunlight had not reached her, with a blanket over her head.

"You're alright." Tanjiro stated while Nezuko groaned once again due to the sun. He looked around the room and saw that there were no bodies around.

"Hang on, where are the corpses from earlier?" Tanjiro wondered before realizing the elderly man he just met was gone too.

He walked outside again to find the old man was next to the building in front of some lumps of dirt. He held his hands together in prayer, making it obvious that he was holding a burial for the people who were killed.

Tanjiro walked up behind the man. "Excuse me." The boy called out, slightly hushed as to not disrespect the burial.

The man got up and began to speak without turning. "My name is Sakonji Urokodaki." He stated, "You're the one Giyu Tomioka sent, correct?"

"I am. My name is Tanjiro Kamado." He responded. He pointed to the temple where Nezuko was. "And my sister's name is Nezuko Kamado."

"Tanjiro," the old man turned around to face the boy, "What do you intend to do if your sister eats a human?"

Tanjiro's eyes widened as he was unable to form an answer. After only a few seconds, the man lost his patience and slapped the boy.

Tanjiro was even more shocked at that moment. "You're too indecisive," The masked man stated, "You must learn to make decisions quickly. That's why you failed to kill that demon before daybreak."

"Do you know why it took you so long to answer my simple question?" Urokodaki asked. "Because your resolve is still too weak."

"You've learned how cruel the world can be and accepted that life will show mercy to no one," He reminded the boy of the tragedy he faced, "But deep down, you haven't accepted that you must not show mercy either. You are still a naive child."

"There are two things you must do if your sister eats a human. First, you kill her. Then, you slit your own belly and die." The man instructed.

"That's what traveling with a demon like your sister means. But you must never allow this to happen, no matter the cost."

"Your sister taking the life of an innocent person is something that cannot happen, ever!" Urokodaki turned away from Tanjiro. "Have I made myself clear?"

"Yes!" Tanjiro answered.

"Very well," Urokodaki said, "I shall test whether or not you're fit to become a member of the Demon Slayer Corps."

The masked man looked at Tanjiro. "Carry your sister and follow me."

With Nezuko on his back, Tanjiro followed the old man known as Urokodaki. At least, he tried to. Despite being an old man, he was insanely fast.

Tanjiro had a hard time keeping up since Urokodaki did not seem to be slowing down. Also, he still couldn't hear the man's footsteps.

"Nezuko, the ride may be bumpy, so just hang on." Tanjiro said in his head, regarding the demon girl in the basket. "But then again, you were always a pretty patient person, weren't you?"

Tanjiro's mind went to a moment a few months ago when Tanjiro found Nezuko fixing her kimono.

"Fixing your kimono again?" He asked. "That settles it, we'll have to buy you a new one." But Nezuko waved off the idea.

"No no, it's fine. This kimono is my favorite." She assured her brother with a sweet smile. "Besides, it's not that important. I'd rather feed our siblings than waste money on new clothes."

Tanjiro considered Nezuko to be one of the kindest, most selfless people in all of Remnant, despite everyone else (including Nezuko) saying that title belonged to him and him alone.

"I swear, I'll turn you back into a human." Tanjiro silently vowed. "And then, I'm going to buy you a beautiful kimono."

"Everything I wasn't able to do for the others. I'll do it all for you!" Tanjiro promised as he and Urokodaki continued running to Mt. Sagiri.

The sun was setting when Tanjiro finally made it to Urokodaki's house. He was completely out of breath and wanted nothing more at the moment than to rest.

"Okay," He panted, "So does-*huff* this mean-*huff* Please tell me this means I passed the test." The old man took off his hood and opened the door to his house.

"We're just beginning the test," He said, "We'll be climbing a mountain." Tanjiro's jaw dropped and his face paled at the thought of doing something so grueling in his current state.

Tanjiro went inside to lay down Nezuko, who was now asleep, on a blanket in a dark room where the sun couldn't reach her.

"I promise, I'll take care of your sister for you while you're gone." Urokodaki assured Tanjiro, relieving a bit of stress from the boy.

"Thank you, sir. I appreciate that." Tanjiro expressed his gratitude. The two of them then set off toward the mountain.

It was now night, a waxing crescent of the shattered moon could be seen in the sky. Tanjiro and Urokodaki were still walking up the mountain.

Tanjiro was completely exhausted, his legs began to buckle underneath him. He was breathing heavily as he started to become dizzy.

Urokodaki finally stopped in his tracks, he turned around to address Tanjiro. "Now, find your way to my house at the foot of the mountain." He commanded.

"This time, I won't wait until daybreak." He said as the fog started surrounding the old man. It wasn't long before he vanished completely, leaving a surprised Tanjiro by himself.

"That's the test?" Tanjiro questioned. He then looked behind him from where he just came from. "I see. Because of the fog, he thinks I might get lost."

"All I have to do is get back by daybreak?" He summarized. "No problem, not with my sense of smell. I've already memorized Mr. Urokodaki's scent."

Tanjiro began to run down the mountain, but it wasn't long before he tripped on something that felt like a rope.

Assuming he just activated a trap, he looked around before a bunch of small rocks came flying out of nowhere and hit him in the face, leaving a bruise.

"What the-!?" Tanjiro stumbled in surprise before his right foot suddenly fell through the floor. It wasn't long before he fell into a small pit.

"A tiger pit?" Tanjiro observed, now realizing his situation. "Of course, there are traps all over the mountain. That's why it's a test."

The boy started climbing out of the pit before his hand landed on another rope. "Oh no!" He said in his head, pulling his hand away as he got up and jumped away from the rope as fast as he could.

However, that only ended up putting him right in the path of a swinging log. Tanjiro was knocked down and got up again, breathing heavily once again in panic.

"Crap, crap, crap!" He cursed, "If I keep running into these traps, I'll never make it down the mountain by morning!"

"Not just the traps, but the air is-" That's when Tanjiro finally noticed an important detail of this trial, "The air is thin on this mountain. A whole lot thinner than the mountain I grew up on."

Tanjiro quickly got up while trying to get his breathing under control. "It's no wonder I feel so dizzy. I can't breathe." Tanjiro began running again.

"I hope I can make it. No, I have to make it!" Tanjiro stopped for a few seconds to catch his breath. "Control your breathing, then sniff out all of those traps."

Once he got his breathing under control, Tanjiro used his nose to pick up any scent. Once he did, he started running once again.

Tanjiro tripped a few traps, but he was able to tell where they were thanks to the human scent on them. This allowed the boy to dodge all the traps.

"I got it, piece of cake!" He cheered mentally, "These traps were set by a human. Which means that their scent stands out to me!"

However, Tanjiro was unable to react to a tied up bamboo tree which snapped straight as soon as he stepped on it. Tanjiro was hurtled into the ground with tremendous force. An Aura definitely would've come in handy.

"I guess that doesn't solve all my problems, though." He thought as more bamboo trees came down and smacked the boy. "Because I'm still not athletic enough to dodge every single one of them!"

Tanjiro was limping down the mountain, refusing to give up. "But I'll make it. I have to, no matter what. For Nezuko!" Tanjiro used all of his strength and willpower to get down the mountain.

Urokodaki

The masked man was putting a blanket over the sleeping demon girl as he looked out the window and saw that it was almost daybreak.

He wondered whether Tanjiro would make it in time before he heard footsteps followed by panting. His door was slowly opened from the outside to reveal a beaten, bloodied, dirty, and exhausted Tanjiro Kamado.

"I…made it-" The boy spoke before collapsing on his knees, "-Back down"

-Yesterday-

It was morning when Urokodaki saw a Kasugai Crow flying towards him. It had a letter tied to its leg. The old man opened the letter and saw that it was from Giyu. He started reading

"Dear Urokodaki sir, forgive the intrusion. There's a boy headed your way in need of instruction, he wants to become a Demon Slayer."

"He was fearless enough to try to attack unarmed and with no Aura."

"A demon killed his family. All except for his younger sister, who's been turned. But I'm certain that she will not attack a human."

"They're different, I can sense something about these two. The boy has a keen sense of smell, much like yourself."

"So maybe, just maybe. He'll be able to find a way to break through. I'm asking for you to train this boy."

"This may seem like a frivolous request. But please, humor me. If I'm not mistaken, this will all make sense one day."

"Take care of yourself. Yours truly, Giyu Tomioka."

-Present-

Urokodaki stared at the barely conscious boy leaning against the door frame. Perhaps, there was some hope for him after all.

"Congratulations, Tanjiro Kamado." The masked man said. "You are now my new student."

And that's where I'll end part 1 of this chapter. I know, I know. I might as well have just copy and pasted the script for Demon Slayer.

Things will be different next chapter, I promise. I tried to use my "pro narration skills" to spice things up but you'll have to wait before things a bit more interesting.

Before I go, I'd like to address the reviews I've seen.

Thank you for your kind words, they really mean a lot to me! I'll do my best to live up to your expectations, just take it easy on me if I make a mistake once in a while. No one's perfect, you know?

I also don't have much to say about RWBY nowadays either, which is really sad. I don't mind the new volumes as much as other people.

I'll still watch them just so I have something to do, it just isn't the same anymore.

That said, I'm not entirely sure I can do much better. After all, I'm just a guy in high school getting a B+ in English class. Fortunately, the bar is not exactly high so I'll take my chances. :)

Also, I'd like to talk about the latest review from RadBman21, regarding Tanjiro and Yang's interactions with each other.

I can totally see both arguing about whose little sister is cuter and I might put that in one day.

On the other hand, I also had an idea where through a circumstance I haven't figured out yet, Yang and Nezuko spend some time together.

Yang realizes how adorable Nezuko is, though she still doesn't think she's as cute as Ruby, and tries to steal her from Tanjiro. Here's a little preview!

"Yo, Tanji!" Yang called out as she ran up to Tanjiro ("Tanji'' will be Yang's nickname for Tanjiro). The blonde carrying Nezuko's box on her back.

"Hey Yang! I see you and Nezuko have gotten along well." Said the young Demon Slayer. Yang nodded.

"Yep! You were right Tanjiro, Nezuko is adorable. Not as cute as Ruby, of course, but definitely a close second." She admitted. Tanjiro, not wanting to cause more conflict, decided not to argue despite what he thought

Yang started looking away shyly while touching her fingers together. "Sooooo…Tanji. Me and Nezzy (nickname for Nezuko) were talking."

Tanjiro was instantly suspicious considering Nezuko couldn't really talk. "Annnnd me and Rubes are gonna adopt Nezuko, cool?"

"HUH!?" Tanjiro yelled out.

"Cool! Thanks Tanji, I knew you'd understand. Buh bye!" Yang said before running off with Nezuko.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE ! ! !" Tanjiro took off after her. The two began running in a circle as the rest of Team RWBY and Zenitsu looked on.

"Well, at least they're not arguing about who's cuter, that's a victory in my book!" Ruby said.

"Look again." Zenitsu said as he pointed to the chase scene.

"Inosuke! Stop chasing me! Now's not the time!" Tanjiro exclaimed to the boy with the boar head mask, who had joined the chase circle.

"Heh heh heh heh! That's where you're wrong, Hanmuro!" Inosuke said, mispronouncing Tanjiro's name once again.

"Now that you're distracted, it's the perfect time to bring you down!" Inosuke lowered his head while running, trying to headbutt Tanjiro.

This chase went on for about an hour.

Hope you liked it! I threw Inosuke in there because…Inosuke.

I'm still working on part 2 of this chapter, so just be patient and I'll see you guys next time. Adios!

Next time: Chapter 6 - Total Concentration Breathing Part 2
