"Sssh. Quiet," the Demon whispered as they crouched and entered the facility's massive final chamber.

Up above the chamber was the Cartographer console they were at not too long ago. Below it, what Jiralhanae remained could be seen performing some type of ritual.

An inauguration ceremony, Mar soon realized.

Someone was being promoted, and it didn't take a genius to find who. Kneeling in front of a holopedestal displaying the Prophet of Truth was none other than Cethegus. As he knelt there, Truth was bestowing upon him the ultimate authority.

"...nd leadership such as yours are almost enough to overshadow your predecessor. As Chieftain of the Brutes, you shall usher the Covenant into a new era! A time of..."

The Red Twin started to stand, but the Demon clasped a hand on his shoulder.

"What are you doing?" his ally hissed. "There's at least a dozen Brutes down there. We need a plan of action."

He peeled the Demon's hand off his shoulder and stood up.

"I have one," he replied. "But we need to interrupt that ceremony. Just trust me."

The Red Twin started down a ramp and was instantly spotted by at least two Jump Pack Brutes, giving the Demon no choice but to trust him. He followed, then stood beside him at the base of the ramp until eventually, one by one, the Brutes noticed them standing there. Things didn't start getting interesting until Truth and Cethegus finally turned and spotted them.

"Demon!" Truth spat indignantly.

Cethegus stood straight and hefted his gravity hammer menacingly. Even from this distance, he was clearly taller than both the red and the green warrior. All the Jump Pack Brutes jeered and roared, but never broke their circle formation that created a sort of arena around Truth and Cethegus.

"Are you sure about this?" the Demon asked, looking around.

The Red Twin didn't hesitate.

"Of course," he responded. "Just keep the other Brutes from interfering."

The Demon nodded, but said nothing. He seemed to be counting the number of enemies, formulating a plan in case things went sour. Mar faced the new Chieftain of the Brutes and walked forward rolling his neck and cracking his knuckles.

"Dispose of the Elite!" Truth ordered Cethegus. "Then bring me the Demon's head."

The Red Twin laughed incredulously, "You think you can handle a Bin Son so easily?"

Cethegus was practically steaming from the ears by this point. His rage boiled over and caused him to lift his hammer and pound the ground, which Mar felt tremble beneath his hooves.

"Fight me!" the Chieftain snarled. "I'm right here!"

Grind him into dust.

The Red Twin grinned as he got ready to charge.

Of course, brother. Wouldn't have it any other way.
