Hard Training and Mother-Daughter Stubborn Reunion

Another day of training has begun for the Remnant-Etheria team, a group name Nora decided to call them because she thinks it sounds cool, as today Glimmer and Bow are doing combat training with Ruby and Oscar to help them with close-up fighting with their hands.

"Come on, Ruby. You got to put a little more power into you punches." Glimmer advised the reaper girl.

"Okay, I-I'll try." Ruby nodded and threw some more punches.

Glimmer easily dodges them to throw her own counterattack of a punch though Ruby reacted faster as she dodges that too and swings a kick which Glimmer blocks with her arm.

Bow charges at Oscar with punch that misses the target, and the farmer boy blocks each strike almost like his body is reacting to attacks that are coming to him, Oscar moves to the side to push another punch away for a knee-kick to the side and then go for a punch to the face which Bow narrowly blocks.

"Dude, didn't you struggle to throw a punch when we started this?" Bow asked shock.

"Guess I'm a fast learner." Oscar shrugged.

"Besides, from the way you fight shows that you're the one who needs more training than me." Oscar teased.

"Hey, I can't help it if I always love fighting with my bow and arrow!" Bow stated before jumping back to dodge a punch.

"Well, you don't hear the others complaining." Oscar chuckled.

"I am definitely complaining!" Entrapta screamed in fear as she runs for her life from the happy Nora trying to hit her with the hammer.

"Come back here! How am I supposed to know how tough you are if you keep running away." Nora called out.

Meanwhile, the others are watching how the training are doing as they can see Ruby is doing somewhat better with her fists and Oscar is doing quite well more than expected.

"Man, Oz wasn't kidding. Oscar's picking up on this stuff fast." Jaune surprised.

"It might be because of Ozpin's past memories guiding him, but I do see that Oscar may have potential on his own." Adora said seeing Oscar fight.

"Oh, is someone having a little crush." Swift Wind teased while winking at Catra who catches on.

"Crush? Swift Wind, that's crazy for he is too young for me." Adora pointed out.

"He's just six or five years younger." Swift Wind shrugged.

"And I'm already in a relationship with Catra, it's not like we're looking for a boyfriend together." Adora added.

"What would you say if I like the idea and maybe Oscar could be the ideal man for us." Catra teased with a lick on her cheek.

"What? Catra!" Adora surprised blushing, then Catra and Swift Wind started laughing at her.

"Oh man, you should see the look on your face." Catra laughed.

"Has she always been like this?" Ren asked Netossa and Spinneralla while meditating.

"That just her trying to be all fun and cool, and getting jokes on everyone whenever the chance present itself." Netossa explained.

"But she does have a caring heart, just showing it in her own way." Spinneralla added.

Nora swings her hammer side to side having Entrapta ducks and jump over the swings then grabbing Nora's arm with her hair and pushes her to the side, but the carrot hair girl smirks as she presses the trigger causing the hammer to blast swing around causing Entrapta be spin around and toss right at Oscar's feet.

"Are you okay?" Oscar worried, but that left him open for Bow do a flying kick to the face knocking him down.

"Ouch." Ruby winced for Oscar.

"Sorry, did I hit you too hard?" Bow worried.

Oscar groans in pain from the hit on his face and Melog suddenly appears looking down at him with a curious tilted head and lick his face a bit.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Oscar said.

"(You forgot to engage your Aura, again.)" Ozpin said.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Oscar asked, slightly angry.

"(Because this method makes you less likely to forget.)" Ozpin answered pointing out the purpose of this exercise.

"Seriously?" Oscar groaned, then Melog helps him up.

"Oscar, you need to be able to react fast enough to anything that comes your way, and you can't stop even for a second either." Adora advised.

"Sure, I'll be sure to remember that." Oscar said.

Glimmer throws a few more punches at Ruby who nervously dodges them then manages to land one punch on the stomach and another one fast to the fast knocking the Bright Moon Queen down.

"I did it? Yeah, I did it!" Ruby cheered.

"Finally managed to get a good hit on me." Glimmer chuckled.

"Good for her." Oscar smiled for Ruby.

"(Yes, now how about letting me try with Bow.)" Ozpin offered to take over.

Oscar decided to him do so and now the former Headmaster of Beacon Academy is now in control of the body and look to Bow with a confident smile.

"Your skills aren't bad, Bow, but there are still areas you lack. And now you will have to try your luck against a warrior like myself." Ozpin said with his fists ready.

"H-Hold on, maybe we can take a break." Bow suggested nervously.

But Bow's words were in vein as Ozpin charges at him with a right hook ready and he quickly tries to block it except that is a ruse as Ozpin landed a hit on the stomach with his left fist, then he pushes the archer boy back only to grab his arm and perform a fast spin for an elbow strike on the face.

Bow can tell Ozpin's skills are far more advance than Oscar's and knows he doesn't stand a chance like this, but he still wants to put up more of a fight as he goes for a fast punch only for Ozpin to duck and respond with a headbutt from below the chin knocking him down.

"I knew that guy wouldn't last long against the farmer boy." Catra commented.

"The next time you want to throw a left cross, remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always, do be aware of any openings." Ozpin advised to the archer young man.

"Gooooot it." Bow groaned as Glimmer quickly hurry over to her boyfriend.

"You know, it reminds me of someone saying it was a bad idea for you to go into combat training." Glimmer teased.

"It was you…" Bow admitted exclaiming from the pain.

"Yep, it was me." Glimmer grinned as he helps him up.

"You know, I still can't get use that you and Oscar keep switching in and out for the control of the body." Catra stated as she walks up to him.

"Understandable, this is just part of the process that our souls will merge soon." Ozpin said.

Ozpin switch the control back to Oscar who smiles at Catra but then suddenly let out an exhausting sigh and nearly fell on his knee if not for Entrapta helping him stand after recovering from her spare with Nora.

"It would seem you could feel the exhaustion right after you gained control again, but Ozpin looked perfectly fine when he was in control." Entrapta analyzed this scene.

"Sure looks like it, but I used to do lots of farm work back home. So, how is this so exhausting?" Oscar asked.

"Your body isn't used to this kind of training, not to mention generating a defensive Aura on your own. It takes intense concentration at first, but in time it will become second nature, allowing you to deflect attacks and gradually heal your wounds. After that, you can begin focusing on your Semblance, whatever that may be." Ren explained.

"Semblance?" Oscar wondered.

"I heard you guys mention that a few times, but I never got around with asking since we're focus on training." Netossa mentioned.

"Then allow us to explain!" Nora excited.

"On Remnant, a Semblance is like your very own superpower! Everybody's got one. It's just a matter of finding it and mastering it. Ruby moves super-fast, Electricity makes me stronger, Ren can mask emotions, and Jaune... can, uh, um. Hmm." Nora stopped herself looking at Jaune.

"What, doesn't the knight boy have a superpower of his own?" Swift Wind asked.

"No, haven't found it." Jaune admitted sighing.

"So, you're like in a roadblock or something." Catra wondered.

"But that just means he is just like you." Ruby said as she drags Oscar a little closer to Jaune.

"He hasn't found his Semblance yet, but we all know he will. And you will, too. We all just have to try and help each other get stronger." Ruby believed.

"Cool." Oscar smiled.

"But how does one find their Semblances exactly, is it through drama emotional moments or such?" Entrapta asked curious.

"I think it's something like that." Jaune said.

"A common philosophy is that a warrior's Semblance is a part of who they are. Some say your personality and character can define your Semblance while some claim that it is the other way around. Of course, there are still many who don't see a connection at all." Ren explained as he stands up.

"In other words, nobody knows when exactly their Semblance may appear." Adora said understanding this.

"Totally, one's Semblance could appear at any moment. Ren's Semblance was unlocked from intense stress." Nora mentioned.

"Oh dear, I hope you were okay." Spinneralla concerned.

"I'm fine, and I managed to get over a certain past." Ren smiled.

"Okay, so how did any of you unlock your Semblance?" Netossa asked, getting back to the subject.

"Mine kicked in during training one day back home." Ruby answered.

"I got struck by lightning. Didn't die. Craaaazy Thursday." Nora revealed her part.

"Girl, you are crazy. I like it." Netossa smirked earning a smirk back from Nora.

"I just don't understand what's wrong with me. I train. I meditate." Jaune puzzled at himself of why his Semblance won't come out already.

"Don't worry, Mr. Arc. Your journey is far from over. And the same might be said for all of you. Unlocking your Semblance isn't the end. It can still grow and evolve. Providing you're willing to put in the work, who knows what could happen." Ozpin stated.

"He's right, you just have to keep doing what you always do and believe that your hard work will show of something you can be proud of." Adora believed.

"Kind of reminds me of you when you tried so desperately to rank up." Catra chuckled.

"Hey, I was not desperate. I was a hard-working soldier wanting to make a difference." Adora stated strongly.

"Whatever you say." Catra rolled her eyes.

"So, Oscar, we're gonna continue with the sparring session. Think you can do some more?" Catra asked.

"Yeah, I think I'm up for it." Oscar nodded.

"Good, because your next opponent…" Catra smirked and jumps about over a dozen feet away.

"Is me!" Catra smirked.

"Oh boy…" Oscar gulped in fear and Melog tries cheering him up with a snuggle on his cheek.

"Thanks, something tells me I'm gonna need that." Oscar petted on Melog's head.

(With Yang and Perfuma)

Yang and Perfuma have finally arrived at the bandit campsite the former have been searching for in months since she left patch, and now she is finally walking inside with the chance to see the face of her mother after so many years of searching.

"Well, this place certainly screams bandit." Perfuma commented noticing most of them are giving her glares.

"Yeah, nothing screams surviving bitches like these guys." Yang mocked a bit, but more focus on the task at hand.

They arrived at the front of the big tent meaning this must be the one where the leader stays at, which can also mean the leader herself is here as well.

"So, which one of these bandits are your mother?" Perfuma asked as she looks around trying to see which one is the woman that is Yang's mother.

"She's right here." A woman answered for Yang as she steps out of the big tent.

This woman is wearing a white Grimm mask that gave Perfuma a quick scare from the look though knew this one is dangerous from the red eyes.

"Mom." Yang said.

The woman now reveals to be Yang's mom removing the mask revealing her whole face.

Raven appears to be a dangerously and beautiful young woman and looks very similar to Yang; they share the same facial shape and long, bushy hair. However, Raven's hair is jet black, her eyebrows are a little bit higher, her complexion is significantly lighter and slight age lines are under her eyes. Her hair is tied by a red bandanna and loosely done up in a ponytail with the ends resembling curved black feathers. A cowlick can be seen protruding from the top of her head. She wears a V neck black and red wrap style top with a black pleated skirt that has black shorts underneath, with series of beaded necklaces. She also wears a red obi sash around her waist alongside a red tasset wrapped around her waist that carries her weapon's sheath. Attached to it is a long black object that is either fur or feathers, with a red and white bandana material like hanging from behind her. Her forearms bear red armored gauntlets that protrude outwards and black fingerless gloves. Her boots have red sole and heel and are also solid black. Breasts sizes: I-cup.

"(Oh my, she almost looks like an older version of Yang!)" Perfuma thought surprised.

"Yang. So, after all this time you finally decided to visit me." Raven said with a slight sinister smile.

Yang feels her left hand shaking again and use her robotic arm to calm down before speaking to her mom.

"You know that I searched for you. I spent years looking for you." Yang mentioned.

"And you've found me. You were patient, determined, and strong enough to make your dream a reality. Well done, Yang. But did you have to be so rough with my men?" Raven asked.

"I didn't want a fight. They started it." Yang said.

"Well, you certainly finished it." Raven commented.

"Technically, I wanted to settle things peaceful and maybe talk things out, but those men were being very rude. They didn't even like the flowers I was offering them." Perfuma explained as she uses her magic to make flowers appear on Shady group's head, but they quickly brush them off.

Raven became surprised of seeing this new girl suddenly using a power that is not like any Semblance she has been nor heard of, but she does recognize what that power was though her instincts are telling her to be careful with this one.

"It would seem you have found yourself a unique companion." Raven commented.

"You could say she fell on me upon first met." Yang crossed her arms under her breasts.

"It's true, I fell from the sky though was able save myself." Perfuma nodded.

"Giant plant, bet that's something you never seen before." Yang said.

"That's actually right." Raven admitted.

"Right. I'm sure this is all very overwhelming. But I must admit that you've proven yourself. So, any questions you have I'll be happy to answer. You can stay with us tonight. I'll even have the cooks whip up something for you." Raven gestured to her tent.

"Oh, that sounds lovely." Perfuma smiled, even though she knows the food from the bandit may not look pleasant.

"That's not why I'm here." Yang said shocking Perfuma and the bandits.

"What was that?" Raven asked, surprise to hear this coming from the girl who had long search for her.

"I'm not here for you. Ruby is somewhere in Mistral. She's with Qrow, and she's going to need my help. I just need you to take me to her." Yang revealed her true intention of coming here.

"And why would I do that?" Raven asked.

"Because we're family." Yang answered simply.

"Family. Only coming around when they need something." Raven muttered to herself.

"So, you only wanted to find your mom and just leave her that quick?" Perfuma puzzled.

"Right now, there are more important things to me like my sister." Yang said.

"I have to say, I'm disappointed. After all, you found me, didn't you? Why not take that drive and use it to find your little sister if she means that much to you?" Raven wondered.

"Because you're going to save me time. Ruby was heading to Mistral, but there's no guarantee she's made it there. Looking for her in Anima could take ages. But... Dad told me how your Semblance works." Yang mentioned.

"Tai…" Raven said under her breath.

"You can bond to certain people. And when you do, you could create a portal that takes you straight to them. You've got one for Dad. One for me. And you've got one for Qrow. He promised me he'd watch out for Ruby before he left. And I trust him. So, make a portal to my uncle and sister, and I'll be on my way." Yang demanded.

"You know, it takes real strength to march in here and demand such a favor of me. I've got to say, I'm impressed. It's very noble to want to help out your sister. But if she's with Qrow, then she's already a lost cause." Raven said.

"What does that mean?" Yang asked.

"(I get a bad feeling that those two aren't going to see eye to eye any moment now.)" Perfuma thought worried.
