It was the peak of the tourist season in Egypt and all kinds of shops are open to attract people who are either interested in buying souvenirs for their family and friends, or wanting to get a taste of the famous Egyptian cuisine that was known in the world.
One of the famous coffee shops in Cairo, the capital of Egypt is Dukes. Dukes Patisserie & Tea Lounge is known for their overwhelming goodness of baked pastries and ambiance in their destination and service.
At the start of a new day, a lone boy, a teenager could be found preparing the shop for the tourists that would somehow be dining later on. He put the menu out on the streets, near the door and entered as he made last minute clean up of the place.
He took the pastries from the kitchen and slid the trays inside the display cases, and went around the place, drawing the curtains back, allowing sunlight to streak inside, and sighed, as he looked at himself in the small mirror tacked beside the counter, behind the pastries display case.
He wore a white three-fourths sleeve with black tie, black pants and black leather shoes with a white apron over it. With the cafe's logo on the left collar of the shirt. And his hair is among the weirdest ones in all Cairo, let's say all Egypt. His hair has the mixture of blond bangs, black hair that points in a star with crimson edging and his crimson eyes.
All day, he served the tourists who had come to dine in the shop, talking about things like places to visit, things to buy, but mostly to complain about the sweltering heat of the sun. He mostly kept to his place, watching them leave with satisfied smiles after getting the feel of the ambiance that only their shop was known for.
But he couldn't help but released a tired sigh as he piled up coffee cups on a tray and give them to the customers, that the day would be done in a beat. As he picked up the last coffee cup off the table, the last piece of cake that was left untouched and the few coins that were left on the table, and put it inside the pocket of his apron as he breathed a sigh of relief.
'It's over.' he thought to himself as he cleaned the tables, mopped the floor and took one of the blueberry scones from the display case and locked it, to keep it from the thieves. Who knew, even if Egypt is known for being a hot destination for tourists, it was still full of pickpockets and even thieves.
Drawing the blinds, and flipping the sign close, he stepped out into the cold day and locked the door. It was nearing night, he had a an hour or two to go buy some groceries. And hoped that he get home in time.
After buying the groceries, he walked home to his village and straight to the small house situated near one of the apartments, the one with the game shop.
Inside the living room, a young boy with the same point star shaped hair with a brooch made of paper pinned on the collar of his shirt, pranced around the living room happily, while the television blared on in the background.
And welcome back, Mai and I are thrilled to be here bringing you the 144th Prince Procession.
Mai: That's right Zigfried and where are those Princes processing?
Zigfried: Glad that you asked, Mai! Why, to Prince Charming Academy, of course! Were glorious guys meet dreams of destiny!
The boy stopped in the middle of the carpet, putting his hand on his chest and spread his arms wide with the other raised higher as he mimicked the announcer's voice.
"Yuugi." a muffled call came out from the game shop. "I hope your doing your homework and not just watching that parade."
Upon hearing his name, the young boy went down on his stomach infront of his books and notebooks scattered on the floor and replied back. "I am, grandpa." And again looked at the television as he watched a pink haired man with tailored clothing and a blond woman wearing a violet dress speak, while showing the academy's sprawling grounds, both of his hands on his face.
The television showing boys wearing black uniforms with a pink sleeve shirt, waving casually but with proper posture to the onlookers and watchers.
Zigfried: Yes, every boy dreams it but only a few can achieve it. For those born to royalty from kingdoms far and wide, a chance to earn their titles as princes."
Someone came in through the door, closing it after him, putting the groceries on the table near the door and looked towards the younger boy with a smile on his tired face as he watched him, ogling at the television screen, at the boys dressed in the school's signature uniform.
Mai: And for those born commoners, the opportunity to win a place as the Prince's most trusted advisor, a Lord Royal."
The older tiptoed towards the boy on the carpet and poked him on both sides.
"Boo!"
The younger gasped and squealed as he turned to face his attacker. Nonetheless-his brother. The boy giggled as he was getting tickled by the older.
The older ceased as he let the younger took a deep breath to calm down and looked at him as he sat up, giggling. "Yami! You're here!"
"Dance with me, Prince Yuugi." Yami said as he helped him up and danced in separate twirls in the living room, laughing while the announcer's blared on.
Mai: Oh, Zigfried it's a wonderful day in Egypt! I've never seen so many people before in the parade.
Zigfried: You can't be more right, Mai. '
The screen showed a shaggy blonde haired boy and pointy haired one waved at the crowd while looking eveywhere, a smile pasted on their faces.
Yami and Yuugi waved at the passing train as they both fell down on their butts as they laughed together. Enjoying the moment that they have with each other. And still, there are things that Yami was thinking to himself.
May: This will be the end of chapter one. Chapters in this story does not have titles like "Atem's Little Sister" does.
Bakura: To wrapped it up, because the idiotic author forgot to mention, she does not own Yu-Gi-Oh! and all characters related to the anime and the plot of the story belongs to Mattel Corporation or whatever.
May: Thanks for mentioning it. And the name of the coffee shop used here does exist in real life in Egypt, located at Heliopolis, Cairo. As the address in the site stated. Please follow and review.
