Chapter 3
May: This is a new update! After 6 months and 3 days. And thank you for the ones who reviewed, favorite/followed this story. Anyways, the poll have been removed and wouldn't be available.
Mr: Mahad Amun: To choose this year's lottery winner, I present you Mr. Seto Tasherit Kaiba.
A young man with brown hair and blue eyes looked at the headmaster with a glare with the absurdity of him choosing the lottery winner and would have continued to do so, if he hadn't felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned to see a white long-haired man wearing expensive clothing nod at him and he smiled, as he held his chin high as he watched the man proceed to the poduim.
Stranger: You of course mean, Crown Prince Seto Kaiba. My son will soon be ruler of Egypt.
Mahad Amun strode over to him and covered the microphone with a hand. "Provided that he completes the semester." and then turned to the teenager who stood at the back of a ballot machine modeled after the Blue Eyes White Dragon. "Mr. Seto."
The man nodded, Seto nodded back then looked at the machine as he opened the latch. And stooped down as he picked up the papers.
The crowd gathered infront on the school waited anxiously, wishing that it would be their name who would be picked, for a chance to change their family's future.
Yuugi's eyes widened as he watched what was happening in the television, his grandfather right beside him. The older man chuckled at his grandson's obvious excitement as he couldn't contain it, spewing it across the room.
Although he wondered to himself. Yuugi's too young to even enter the lottery. He looked at his grandson and dismissed the thought.
'Maybe he was just excited that's all.' he thought.
They continued watching the show, anxious about who would be the lucky winner.
Seto rolled his eyes as the papers slipped from his hand and he again took another batch, the other falling again with the pile as he raised it in the air.
He opened the folded paper and squinted at the handwriting, as soon as he understood it, he let out an unenergetic sigh as if he's been doing it for all his life and got tired of it.
"Yami Mutou."
Ziegfried: And there you have it...
Yuugi gasped in glee as he jumped to his feet, his fists raised in the air. "I KNEW IT!" The television blaring in the background.
Solomon looked at his younger grandson. "Knew about what?"
The younger turned to face him and held both of the older's hands in his. "I knew Yami would win the lottery."
Solomon watched as his grandson danced around the room. With a thought in his mind. 'Never thought that Yuugi would be this devious to go behind his brother's back.'
He then smiled as his grandson went around the room, singing at the top of his lungs, like announcing to the whole world that his brother got chosen. But...his expression turned grim, what would the other boy think of it?
He's too protective of the younger and deemed the responsibility of looking after the both of them. It wouldn't take him long to know that the other would decline the scholarship for the reason of staying behind to take care of them.
For the first time in his life, he's annoyed at his older grandson. Too selfless to even think of himself.
He was about to stand up himself when his worst fear had appear.
"What's with the noise?" Yami asked, grinning as he walked inside the room.
"Yami!" Yuugi cried in glee as he ran up to his brother, dragging him along as he danced around the room. "Who's gonne be a Lord Royal? Yami's gonna be a Lord Royal!"
Yami blinked his crimson eyes as he looked at his brother during his moments, not understanding what was happening to make his brother act like this.
"Who works in the palace? Yami works in the palace! Ahah! Go Yami!" Yuugi cheered.
Yami let out a sigh, grabbed the boy's shoulders and turned the younger to face him. "You entered for me?" he asked, incredulous. Never thought that his brother would be this devious to go behind his back.
Yuugi giggled. "Only six times a day for an entire year!" and then got out his grasp and started singing his made-up song around the room.
"Yuugi!" the older spiky-haired cried in exasperation and seeing that he will not get anywhere with his brother that energetic, he turned instead to their grandfather.
"Grandpa! he cried, hopeful that the other could do something.
Solomon just shrugged and just smiled at his older grandson's plight, not knowing what he could do in this situation. Both very well knew that no one could stop Yugi when he's like this.
Even Yami himself.
The doorbell rang and Yuugi stopped dancing, his arms still raised in the air. "They're here! They're finally here!"
He bounded to the door and opened it, knowing with a hunch who it could be.
Yami didn't even have time to think as he considered his fate. All he just knew is that he would never got to live this down. He then looked at his family-especially at his younger brother.
He might be annoyed at what the younger did, but even if he is, he loves the other to the end. And would do everything to make him happy.
But what is he going to do now?
May: Yay! Another update! This time, the later chapters would be...let's say...a poll would be included and in my profile, depending on what I want all of you to think. If you want, you could just suggest anything in the reviews. Good day to all!
