Chapter 45

Last chapter, Freddie and Sam were on the girls' weekend trip and they were just propositioned by Brooke.

"Are you seriously saying what I think you're saying?" Sam asked with a huff and stood up, somehow again managing to shield her bare chest from the other two people in the room.

"Well, I've been known to be very open minded." The dark haired girl nodded at Sam. "You know, like, I'm just throwing it out there. I go both ways."

Sam lunged toward her, causing the girl to jump back. "What kind of a skunk bag are you? Saying chiz like that in front of my boyfriend! Do I seriously look like the kind of girl who would fool around with him right here? Or worse, let her dude bang another chick?"

Freddie jumped up to stop Sam from assaulting the other female. "Sam! Wait." It was obvious he shouldn't have been standing.

Sam's eyes caught sight of the evidence and smirked a little. "What the fudge for?"

He was sounding way too serious for her liking. All he was trying to do was keep Sam from getting arrested for assaulting the other girl but the recent conversation did have him slightly intrigued.

"Fredward!" Sam hissed.

Of course, he had to take this as an opportunity to taunt Sam. "Well, you told me about what you and Cat did. I know you're not completely opposed to . . . with another girl."

"Oh, so you go both ways, too?" Brooke asked Sam and made a flirty little lip lick. "I thought I picked up on something. I have something in my bag that you might like." She made an attempt to look for whatever it was that she was referring to.

"Get! Out!" Sam shouted at the other female and lunged at her again before being restrained by Freddie.

Brooke slipped out of the room before getting a beat down and Sam glared at Freddie.

"Just because Cat and I might have played around a bit and experimented years ago, doesn't mean I want to have a menage a trois with you and some skunk bag they sent in here to give us a massage. I mean, I wouldn't necessarily mind fooling around with you, and maybe even her on a really daring day at one point in my life because she is kinda hot, but not both of you at the same time. And I sure as hell don't want you being tempted into doing things with her that you haven't done with me in six years."

Freddie just smirked at the thought of Sam and another girl. When she told him about her and Cat, it turned him on more than he let on. He was always curious about her and Carly too, but figured there was no way anything like that could have ever happened because Carly was entirely too up tight.

She lowered her voice and asked the one thing she was dying to know. "Would you seriously have considered that? Like, you won't do it with me one on one, but you'd do it with me and her both."

"I wasn't being serious, it was just to get a rise out of you. You've got to admit I finally got one over on you, Sam." He tried to beg off "Consider it partial payback for all that chiz in high school."

"Well, it's not funny, ya nub." She huffed. "We've been together for how long and you won't do more than grope me and get me all worked up and then stop."

'Hmm, she did enjoy it.' He thought to himself.

"I'm buying double-a batteries by the case because you get me all hot and bothered and then let me hanging."

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. He really had that affect on her?

"And I know you get all randy when we play around, I can see the evidence just like right now. Unless I miss my guess, you're going steady with Mary Palm, too. So don't look at me like I'm some kind of freak for taking matters into my own hands. At least I hope you're test firing that thing once in a while. Because if not, I'm not so sure I want to be around when it finally goes off." She smirked.

"Well, um, I just thought it was too soon. I don't want to rush you." He tried to beg off.

"Me?" She threw her hands in the air. "Dude, I'm 27 years old and I've only had action once since we broke up over six years ago. Not that I want a relationship based on sex but I was ready to do it, like, a month and a half ago. I haven't went this long since, like, forever."

He turned his head slightly in question.

"When we said taking it slow, I thought you mean a couple of weeks, not for eternity. Gheesh, if I was just about any other woman my age, I'd be humping door knobs by now. Well, except Carly. I doubt she bashes her bean."

He ignored the implication toward their mutual friend. "You - you mean you're really ready? To do it?" He was, but he wouldn't have pressured Sam.

"Psh, I just told you I've been ready. And if you're a good boy, I might call that cute chick back here and see how serious she is."

Freddie's eyes grew wide. "R-really?"

Sam now got a sadistic look on her face. "Oh my God but you're still as gullible as you were in middle school." She laughed and moved closer to him. "Tell you what, I will talk to Carly about a threesome if you dress up like a clown."

"Not cool, Sam." He frowned and grabbed her, pulled her into him and slapped at her bottom twice.

"Hey! I didn't say you could spank me."

"Would you have if I asked?" He smirked and smacked her butt again.

"Maybe." She smirked and stretched up to kiss him.

Sunday afternoon their weekend of relaxing was over and they headed back to reality. First stop, a quick trip to Pam Puckett's house to pick up Alex. Pam wasn't home, but it was obvious to Melanie that things were different between them. She had no idea how good their weekend was, at least not that she let on. Of course, she really had no idea about their little getaway, either.

Freddie and Alex stepped off the elevator on the 8th floor, accompanied by Sam. She wanted a few minutes with Freddie once the little girl was handed off to her grandma. They slipped out into the hall for some privacy.

"So, you're gonna say something to Melanie about us so we can tell Alex soon, right?" She asked.

"I also need to let my mom know that things are different between us now. Other than we're casually dating." He nodded. "She'll be OK with it, I just need to let her know."

"I guess I should consider myself lucky that she doesn't hate the sight of me." Sam smirked. "I still think she'd rather you be celibate for the rest of your life but at least she doesn't still look at me like I'm the antichrist any more."

"My mom likes you, Sam. She's not going to be thrilled about me seeing anyone, but I honestly think she'll take it better that I'm with you than if I was to go out with, say, Carly. And a heck of a lot better than if I'd make up with Mels."

"Alright, but you promised you'd tell Mel after we took it to the next level. So, I guess you'd better figure out a way to tell. Because we went about 2 levels up from that last night. I've got to admit, you got pretty creative for as generic as you always were."

"I will, hun. I'm going to text her to see if we could try to meet up tomorrow after she's off work. You maybe free to hang out with Alex?"

"Yep. Just send her up to me and Carls so you and Melanie can have a little chat."

"Alright. I'd better get back in there. Mom will wonder where I got to. Goodnight, Sammy." He leaned in to give her a kiss.

"Night, Freddie." She grinned into his lips. "You know, as tired as I am of sneaking around, I've got to admit it's kind of exciting."

"After this weekend I'm surprised you can even get excited." He smirked. "I'm done in."

Sam no sooner stepped into her apartment when Carly jumped on her. "How was it?"

"Well, as far as girls' weekends go, I've got to admit it wasn't overly girly. You know they put us in the honeymoon suite, so I'm kinda glad you couldn't go along. I mean, that would have been weird." Sam said as she flopped her bag onto the floor next to the sofa and sat down.

"Yeah, uh-heh, that would have been awkward, alright." Carly played innocent, not ready to admit to Sam that after she knew she wouldn't be going, that she called and changed the room reservation. "Buuut, you and Fredward. Did you, um, you know? Like you were hoping?"

"What? Get a massage? Eat too much room service? Laugh at Freddie getting a pedicure and an eyebrow wax? Man, if I could have only talked him into . . . "

"Oh, I don't care about all that. I mean, the other part. You know, the s-e-x part."

"Who says there was an s-e-x part? And are you still too shy to actually say the word? We're not twelve, woman! It's not like you've never done it."

Carly rolled her eyes at being made fun of. "Oh, please. I've known you for how long now? I know you're in a better mood than I've seen you in for years and I also know the look of a woman who's been completely satisfied. And you, my friend, look like you've been satisfied into the middle of next week. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen you so satisfied. Well, except after you ate a gallon of Spencer's home made chili when we were in senior year."

"Really?" Sam wondered if it was that obvious to her sister.

"Yes and Melanie also called and said you and Freddie both had a certain aura about you when you guys stopped for Alex a bit ago." Carly nodded. "So did you really . . . ?"

"OMG, so she thinks we hooked up or some chiz?" Sam face palmed. "How?"

"She is your twin. Maybe you two girls aren't all glued to each other and best friends but I'm sure she could tell. What do you call it, twintuition or something?"

Sam turned red from embarrassment. "Well, we have been seeing each other for how long, now? I guess it was kind of time." Sam still wouldn't admit to anything. "And you really think Mel and I still have twintuition. We haven't been close in years. And I haven't had that with her since she left for boarding school and we weren't around each other constantly."

Carly just shrugged. "So . . . was it everything you were hoping for?"

The blonde looked like she either didn't understand the question or quite know how to answer.

"Oh for Pete's sake! I'm asking did he get better with time?" For some reason, Carly was inexplicably curious about Freddie's 'abilities'.

Sam suddenly smirked and nodded. "First off, I never complained before and what you said about being satisfied into next week, I'd actually say more like next month. Not that I want to wait that long before the next round. How a man who hasn't even been with a woman in however long it's been can do what he does is beyond me. I'm telling you, that boy's like a magician or something. I swear I never did most of what we did. By the way, are my eyes slightly crossed? My granny always said if they're crossed too long, they'll stay that way."

"Oh my God, Sam!" Carly couldn't help but be embarrassed at the revelation.

"Well, you asked." She shrugged. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and call my dude and say goodnight."

"You just saw him. Wait. Are you going to tell Mels that you and Freddie are an actual couple or are having sex?"

"No, but Fredweenie promised to tell her soon so that we can tell Alex we're together."

"So, how do you think she'll take it?"

"Mel or Alex?"

"Either. But especially Melanie."

Sam again shrugged. "Got me. I hope she doesn't get all wazzed off or anything but if she does, I can't help it. I don't see why him and I have to be all sneaky about it or ignore what we both want just to keep her happy."

"And once you tell Alex, I assume there's going to be sleepovers?" Carly asked with a bit of insinuation.

"You do remember that Frednuts still lives with his mommy, right?"

"She's not always there. And I don't know, I sort of thought maybe once you guys were official, he'd be staying up here once in a while, like when Alex is with Mel. Or maybe even be hunting his own place. Or a place where you two can live together."

"Holy shit, woman. We just had sex for the first time in how many years? Granted, it was pretty much non stop for a whole day, but don't you think it's a little soon for us to be thinking about shacking up?"

"I don't know, the way he talked you two were on the verge of doing that before . . . "

"Sure, but we were together for years. Besides, you and I have a lease here and I doubt if Marissa would fail to make a gigantic deal if he tried to move out so he could be with me. You are aware that her and I actually get along half decent, that would surely change if we even thought of shacking up together."

Carly nodded in agreement. "I'm glad you're not going to leave me hanging. But seriously, if you have sleepovers here, just try to keep the volume down. If I remember correctly, when you went out in high school, things got pretty loud."

"No worries, girl, Now, can I go call Freddie, please?" Sam begged.

"Leave your door open." Carly teased. " And behave yourself. No phone sex."

"Psh, he lives 2 floors away, if I want some action, it's not going to be over the phone." Sam smirked. "And mama's a little tender after the weekend anyway. Give me a couple of days to recuperate. It's kind of like, well, if you weren't used to running and you tried a marathon, you wouldn't be out jogging again the next day."

Carly simply clicked her tongue and shook her head as Sam slipped off toward her bedroom.
