Merry Christmas to all of you!

Chapter 7

Yami took in a deep breath as he placed a hand on the school's doors and after a few minutes of contemplation, he turned on the knob and eased the door open.

His eyes widened at the sight that met him. The room was bigger than their apartment and the coffeeshop combined! With a huge meters left over.

The room was of a royal blue color with a huge glass and gold chandelier hanging on the ceiling, lighting up the room in a huge light. A crimson carpet lied infront of him.

Big plush chairs dotted the area which students of varying races and bearing occupied immersed in their own chosen field of interest as what he assumed to be their rest hour. Some, walked in groups or pairs talking to each other.

He walked down the middle of the carpeted aisle, his thoughts on how he should proceed from here when no one obviously was meeting him for an indication of a tour or a go-over of his scholarship.

As he was walking down the aisle, his thoughts elsewhere, he bumped onto two students-one who have pointed hair and the other with jet black hair tied in a low ponytail.

He bowed his head in apology and continued walking, his eyes taking in the scenery that his new environment was showing him.

It was a lot to take in. For one raised commonly, he never had the idea of how extravagant and luxurious this kind of life is to the people who were born in this type of world.

The world's riches at your fingertips. In which he was aiming for all his life-just for his younger brother and his grandfather who-without admitting it is doting on him as well.

A musical sound rang in the room, which confused only to understand as the students quickly gathered their things and rushed out of the room.

He was left alone in the hall. And as he was busy looking around him, he didn't noticed someone-or rather something bounding towards him.

Only to notice when he was already at the ground with small but heavy paws were lying on his chest. He looked up and noticed a cheetah on top of him.

And didn't expect a big slobbery kiss on the cheek.

He chuckled as he scratched the huge animal under its furry cheek. "You're a good boy," he then lifted the small pendant hanging from the cheetah's collar. "Aikiiki" and continued scratching the cheetah's fur.

A deep throat sounded behind him. And he turned his head to look up at a smartly dressed older man his hair hidden by the headdress with gold designs. On the top of the stairs.

"We usually don't find our Lord Royals sprawled on the floor." the older greeted him.

"Sorry, " he greeted the older with a bow of his head as the older descended. He then turned to the cheetah and ruffled the cat's neck. "He's just…"

The man nodded. "No, usually he's quite aggressive towards people who approached him. Go lie down, Aikiiki."

The cheetah followed his suggestion. The man then turned towards him as he held out a hand. "I'm Headmaster Mahad Amun. Welcome to Prince Charming Academy."

He smiled at the older, took his hand and shook it. They then ascended the stairs and turned right towards what he assumed to be the library for he already see the huge bookshelf lined on the wall.

"For the past 3 centuries, Prince Charming Academy instills character and confidence to young men of noble standing. And this library is part of a centuries old palace…" the headmaster continued as they walked inside the room.

Again, he couldn't help to be amazed at the grandiose of such place. The endless amount of books! He looked around him at the tall and large bookshelves which were no doubt filled to the capacity of books of different subjects.

His eyes then passed over the students who were sitting once again in the chairs like the one in the hall before but this time, there was an eye stitched on the blue cloth draped over the arms of the chair unlike the ones in the hall.

He frowned as he seemed to recognize the eye somewhere but couldn't place it where and when. In measure of respect he turned back toward the headmaster who was already about to leave the room.

"Your grades must be exceptional." the headmaster told him as the older turned to face him, with an expectant look on his face.

"It's Yuugi who signed me up here." he explained as he ran a hand on the shelf, his crimson eyes glazing over the wood. "I would never have come but it's a chance to make a better life for him and my grandfather."

"Yuugi?" the headmaster repeated.

He turned to looked at the older. "My younger brother. He entered me in the lottery."

"Yami," Mahad spoke towards him softly. "You do know that only 27% of the lottery boys make it up to graduation. Are you sure you're up to it?"

Yami looked at him and smirked. "I'll sure try."

Mahad smiled at his arrogance. "May I remind you that your future relies on whatever outcome this may be." and then turned away. Continued the tour. "The students' quarters and classrooms are in the new part of the complex." Mahad explained as he toured the new student in the halls. "We have state of the art classrooms and a large dancing room." he gestured as they went past the said room from which they could see guys dancing around gracefully.

He looked around the new complex which was obviously been designed to really foster the school's cater to the royalty and nobility.

The floor was shined to perfection as he no doubt could clearly see his reflection if he stopped and took a minute to digest it. Floor to ceiling windows dominate the right part of the wall ending at another entrance towards another area of the school.

While the left part are blue lockers with a lock combination.

'Yuugi would have loved to see this.' he thought as he looked around him, his hands in his pockets.

"This is where the tour ends." the headmaster informed him. "And someone would be taking you from here."

"Who?" he asked, as he couldn't bear to wander the halls alone, lost in this maze of a world.

"Your room assistant would be here to accommodate you."

A young blond haired girl with green eyes dashed in the halls. Avoiding students as she ran past in her quick dashed to meet her master.

He had told her that they would be near the lockers.

"Yami Mutou!" she shouted through the crowd as she ran past, carrying a tray of coffee. 'When the hell did the halls became so crowded?' she thought. "Have anyone seen Yami Mutou?" she shouted as she ran and didn't noticed that she had tripped, and her tray went flying into the air.

And she cringed as she heard the coffee spilled on someone. No doubt she would received a reprimand from her master as a result of her clumsiness.

"Sorry." she squeaked as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Don't apologize. It's not your fault." a baritone voice spoke. And slowly she looked up to see herself looking directly into crimson eyes.
