"Isn't it beautiful? It's almost tragic. When life ends, it gives off a final lingering aroma. Light is but a farewell gift from the darkness to those on their way to die."
A young man with black hair dressed in casual clothes such as a pair of stretchable black pants, rubber shoes, a black shirt, and a jacket blinked at the sea of grass surrounding him.
"..."
'Is this a joke?'
Looking around, the young man can see he was in some sort of meadow.
looking up, the young man noticed the clear sky and the unpolluted air around him.
"Okay, haha. Nice prank, get me out of here!" The young man said only to blink when nothing happened.
'What did happen before I woke up here?' Thinking about what happened, a prominent vision appeared on his head.
On his way back home, the young man felt himself get pushed towards the road. turning his head to the side, an image of a truck approaching him at high speeds appeared before it all went to black.
Shaking his head, the young man sighed.
'Focus, Ren Cruz! Calm down and focus.' Looking around, it seems like he was a few kilometers away from a coastal city. Surveying his surroundings, Ren noticed that there was a small shack near a tree about a hundred meters or two away from him.
Having nothing else to do, the young man decided against all common horror movie logic and knowledge that you should never approach a house all by yourself.
Once he was near the house, the young man stopped walking.
"I'm an idiot. god, please don't kill me. I'm still a virgin." Ren prayed as he set his bag down and opened it. Something was wrong. His duffel bag that he always used while training was still the same but the insides were different. His martial arts uniform was still there but. there was a pouch on it that contained lots of coins. Taking his signature red hand wraps, the young man put it on and did several stretches before nodding to himself.
Knocking on the door, the young man waited for an answer.
"Maybe they're out." Knocking once more. "Is there anyone here?'
"Come in." A soft voice said.
"What's the worst that can happen?" ... 'Fuck, I just jinxed myself!'
Opening the door, the young man looked around to see that there was no one else inside but the house was filled with some books and other things.
"This is too good to be true." Deciding to take one for the team. (which only composed of himself) The young man walked slowly towards the desk where a book was on.
'Hello, Ren Cruz.
You must be confused right now but fear not.
You are merely given a test to see if you are fit to come back home.
This safehouse is filled with books and supplies enough for you to arrive at the dungeon city of Orario.
You are free to take anything that you wish.
If you wish to find your way back home then worry not.
The key to your way home lies in the dungeon.
We have prepared a safe house for you to operate in Orario, try not to die too early, and do entertain us.'
What the hell? Is this a joke?
Why him? He was just an average student from Earth and there were many people better than he can possibly be!
Hell, even that bastard, Griffith Shirobane, was better than him!
Ren sighed as he gave up.
"No use fretting over it. I need more information." Looking around, the young man took one of the chairs and sat on it. The house he was in was simple yet efficient. It was more or less a safehouse similar to the movies he always watched. "I want to go home! I miss my bed! I wanna get back to reading my books!" The young man whined as he looked outside.
Suddenly, his blood ran cold as several green-skinned child-like people can be seen from outside the house armed with clubs, makeshift spears, and some daggers.
From the looks of it, there were around 6 to 12 of them with three having bows and one having some sort of staff.
It seems like his luck finally ran out.
"... I knew I shouldn't have come in here." Shivering slightly, the young man sighed and hid behind the wall, peaking outside slightly.
'Playing FPS and tactics games was worth it." He said with a sigh.
'are you scared?' A calm voice asked out of nowhere.
Quickly, the young man stood up in shock and looked around.
"Kah!" One of the child-like figures screeched as they
'Calm down.' The voice once again said and suddenly a ghostly figure of a man appeared in front of him.
'Stand up and fight little soldier. I will guide you.' Seeing the face of the man made Ren freeze up and stop to think.
"N-No way!"
'Stay calm, little soldier, and hide. They can see you.' The man said as Ren noticed this and immediately hid back to the wall for cover.
Ren looked closely at the man in front of him. He was an American male with brown hair and blue eyes dressed in tiger stripe fatigues. Normally, he would expect a bandana on his head and an eyepatch but he had none.
'Tell me, do you want to live?'
"I do."
'Good, now stand up and fight, little soldier.' The man said with a smile as he offered his hand to the young man. Ren, seeing this, smiled and took it with a smile on his face.
"I've always wanted to meet you and learn from you. This is a great honor for me, Big Boss." Ren said with a smile as he got pulled up by the legendary soldier.
'Good. Now, prepare yourself, little soldier, you have a battle to fight.' The legendary soldier said as Ren nodded with a smile.
In an unknown location,
An unknown figure smiled as they watched what happened from a crystal ball with a glass of wine in their hands.
"Soon,"
Oh my! The new story is starting and the curtain has been raised.
What is happening?
What is wrong?
Who is Big boss?
Where is Ren?
Will he live? or will he die?
tune in for more!
Reminder:
This story is several years from Canon and will mostly focus on Ren Cruz. Don't worry Bell will be still be involved and keep his broken power to himself and have his own harem with some exceptions and additions lol.
Also mind suggesting a god or goddess you want to be his patron, no Zeus, Hestia, or Apollo though.
lilbigstoryteller: Yeah, I was struggling because I have been impatient and did not think of anything else more to add so just yeeted it to time where Bell arrives in Orario.
