Chapter 6: Maddened Masters

Grunts of exertion huffed out of both combatants' throats within the alleyway. Lucario was glad Ben had a form so good in hand to hand combat, and Ben was happy to have a new sparring partner. Fighting Rook wasn't bad, but he always fought using the same weapons and skillset, so it was nice to have a fresh new opponent.

At this point, Ben wasn't using his regular self, but rather something resembling a fusion of a rooster and a hawk. Brown feathers covered most of his body, and he had sharp scythe-like blades jutting out of his elbows. On his chest were more whitish-brown feathers, with similar feathers on his head styled like a mohawk. For clothing, he had a green mask, a green belt with a white stripe in the middle of it, black underwear, and a strap vest with the Omnitrix symbol.

Codon Stream Entry: Kickin Hawk

Species: Accipinator

Home World: Nacirema L

Nacerima L is a bizarre world of 50 independent landmasses, each with their own weather patterns and landforms: some are tundras, others grassy plains, and still more mountainous valleys. Kickin Hawk's species, the Accipiators, thus evolved individually to fit the distinct environments of each landmass. Kickin Hawk is the DNA sample of the common ancestor of all Accipiators. Accipiators share mostly similar physical abilities, such as strength and speed, especially with their legs. They can kick with devastating force, enough to create shockwaves to attack opponents from a distance, and hold opponents with their feet. The blades on their arms are also useful, as they can easily cut through flesh, and helped them cut through tough hide while they evolved, as trees and rocks were hard to find.

¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦

Kickin Hawk quickly launched a flurry of powerful kicks at Lucario, who blocked each of them with ease, and then dodged a shoulder tackle from the frustrated Accipiator. Grinning, Lucario charged up an Aura Sphere and tossed it directly into Kickin Hawk's back. Groaning in pain, Kickin Hawk turned and growled. With a screech, he kicked the air with enough force to unleash a shockwave within the air. Lucario responded by dodging the shockwave, jumping into the air before curling into himself, charging up dark energy. As it crackled around his body, he uncurled himself and unleashed a spherical shockwave of darkness. When it struck Kickin Hawk, he felt utter malice and hatred within it, knocking him back and making him flinch.

"Seeing what I can do, do you think that I can't handle multiple opponents?" Lucario said, giving a cocky smirk.

"Heh. Maybe. That Dark Pulse you have certainly gives some amount of both defense and crowd control usage, but I'd rather see you get some experience before you actually fight multiple opponents. I've gotten cocky enough times to know that pride comes before a fall," Kickin Hawk conceded.

Lucario felt his smile drop. Why did Ben insist on coddling him and being so overprotective? He was not some fragile little doll, he was a proud fighter for justice! It didn't make any sense. It did seem, however, that Ben noticed his disappointment, as he turned back to normal before raising a hand. Immediately, the room seemed to alter into tiny little squares piece by piece. When this process was done, Ben walked up to him and put his hand on Lucario's shoulder.

"Okay, how about this? I may have been a bit overprotective, but that's only since I've dealt with a lot worse opponents, and the hero business isn't the safest form of employment. Next time we fight a bunch of bad guys, though, you can take on as many as you want," Ben offered.

Lucario did admit it was at least somewhat fair and sighed. "Alright. At least you're giving me a chance to fight more opponents. But I will hold you to that, so you had best uphold your promise,"

Ben raised his hands and quickly answered, "WHOA! Hold on, Lucario! I know I'm cocky and not always the brightest, but I don't break promises willy-nilly!" He then chuckled, amused how the conversation seemed to turn, and Lucario help but let out a little snicker at Ben's antics. "Don't worry. Next fight we have a bunch of bad guys out for my blood, you can fight as many as you want at the same time. I really should see how you deal with multiple opponents."

Lucario smiled. "That will be all. Thank you Ben," He still was amazed how much more advanced this Earth was compared to the original one. "I still find it amazing how good this simulation is at training. Making nearly any environment, or any walls and areas to fight in!"

Ben grinned. "Yeah! And to think that for once, Blukic and Driba actually manage to put their heads together to make this without too much of an argument!"

Lucario groaned at the mention of the two Galvan mechanics. How a duo as idiotic and inept as them was still considered good enough to run the galactic police station on Earth was a miracle in and of itself. He wouldn't have trusted them with a simple blacksmithing shop, since they were more likely to set the forge on fire and vaporize all the metal into nothing before continuing to argue in the burning building. It was always back and forth arguments when it came to those two. "As amazing as that is, I really don't know why you don't insist on reassigning them elsewhere, considering how many problems they cause on a weekly basis from what I hear."

"What? Send them elsewhere? What sane station is gonna take someone as incompetent as them? They'll just come back to us, and they'll be plenty mad with us for sending them away, and probably expect a heartfelt apology and 20 grasshopper smoothies each," Ben replied, rubbing his head. Even he had struggled to understand how those frog-brained fools still managed to keep their place. Sure, being Galvan made them a cut above most other mechanics, but that didn't excuse their arguments getting very repetitive, or for their accidents to be big, like when they made Psyphon and his gang fuse with aliens within the Omnitrix.

All, however, were unaware of the jailbreak about to occur on Revonnah.

He scoured in the primitive jail cell constructed for him. Apparently, the Plumbers (even thinking of the word made him grit his teeth in anger) felt he was too far gone, and suggested that his "punishment" be to watch his beloved planet advance. Tied with tough, fibrous ropes made of Amber Ogia vines, any motion was quashed, and using his cybernetic arm was out of the question as it was under the watchful of the Plumber traitor Watt-Sen. Master Kundo had long since forsaken any hope of rescue, preferring to stew in his rage. Rook Blonko had done this to him! He was the one who betrayed his teachings! He was the one who left him to die in Blastonium! He was the reason he was now what he hated: a monstrous cyborg!

But what hope was there for rescue? Most of Revonnah hated him after what he had done, since he had traded Amber Ogia behind their backs while trying to deal with a traitor, and attacked an old man. Could no one see that he was trying to right a wrong by purging away the blood of traitors? Yet upon their formal induction into the corruptive Plumbers, they were willing to trade Amber Ogia in exchange for tools and galactic goods! Did traditions mean nothing in this new Revonnah? He hated it. Hated it. Hated It! HATED IT! This whole mess was all Rook Blonko's fault! It was him! Him! HIM!

"This I swear, on my very soul. You will pay in blood for what you have done to me, Blonko! You will pay! Pay! PAY! Your Plumbers will not corrupt us any more than they have, and continue to sully our traditions!"

Time enough had passed. Now came the moment where they freed their prophet. He had been correct when he said that the Rook family would bring ruin to them. Had the rest of Revonnah listened? NO! All Revonnahganders were too caught up in the craze for new tools that they were willing to break sacred traditions! Well, if they were so willing to abandon their traditions, what better way to teach them a lesson than to use the very same technology that they were using to uproot ancient traditions?

"Red, are you ready to go? We must make haste, for while your sister takes our Master's arm, we must free him from his prison!" a booming male voice said. "At least fighting the traitor seems fun!"

"Perhaps. But keep your focus. They make the defenses so primitive because the traitors believe that not a single one of us cares for our prophet. They are no fools, though," the aforementioned Red replied, having a calmer voice. "So we must wait for our moment."

Time passed, and soon, the one guard stationed to defend the holding cell fell asleep. His opportunity in sight, Red began to focus, and after purging himself of all distracting emotions, achieving a state where time seemed to stop entirely. As he went for the key, hung around the guard's neck, brief flashes of a blue and white trail flashed behind him. After unlocking the door, however, it was far too easy, as no traps or defenses of any kind existed. Everyone thought the disgraced master, down an arm and struggling to breathe after his Blastonium bath, would simply need to be tied up to be subdued. After all, no one would be foolish enough to try and free such a madman, would they?

Many people were not at all sold on Kundo's mad ideals of traditional values remaining in spite of all the progress undergone by the rest of the galaxy, but that did not mean that no one agreed with Kundo. Smirking at the utter folly of his kind, Red stepped forward, only to be surprised by his partner ending up behind him. "Good work. I suppose a runt like you does have his purpose," his partner chuckled arrogantly.

"Quiet down, you fool, or you will wake the guard!" Red admonished.

"Do not worry, I have already taken care of him. He did have a skull made of Amber Ogia, so a simple punch was enough to take him down," the bigger Revonnahgander assured, seeming happy with what he had done.

"I see. Very well. I see you are not some gluttonous, fight-happy idiot, Kaala," Red admitted. "Now then, Kaala. Tear down this wall! It is the one thing separating us from our prophet. Let us pave a way for us to teach the rest of our kind why they were fools to abandon our traditions!"

"With pleasure." Kaala replied with a smirk.

It did not take long for Kundo to notice the distinct sound of flesh and bone hitting mudstone. Bam. Bam. With an all mighty crash, a muscular Revonnahgander burst through the wall. Following him was a smaller one with some black hair on his scalp, with a purple streak cutting through it.

"Master! We have come to save you!" the smaller one said before moving to cut apart the ropes with his knives. Kundo was shocked, but joy filled his being! Some of his kind still believed in his rhetoric. No longer did he have to fight against the world alone! Perhaps with these individuals on their side, he could finally get the revenge he wanted so badly, and purge the Plumbers from the universe!

"My rescuers. It fills me with great joy to see that there are those who have not fallen to the lies and slander that ooze from the foul mouths of the Plumbers. I am truly grateful to you," Kundo replied sincerely.

"Do not despair, our great and noble master. We are here to serve you! What is your wish? One more of us is working to help you get back your arm so you can continue your noble quest to return Revonnah back to what it was!" the bigger one answered, loyalty clear in his voice. The two genuflected before the freed Revonnah Kai grandmaster, awaiting his instructions.

"I see. Tell her when she arrives that we must make haste to the ones who are related to the one responsible for turning me into this hideous state!" Kundo said. "I wish to give them a parting gift. Salvation from the shame of being related to the traitor of our traditions!" His sanity broken beyond repair, a sadistic grin crossed his hairless face, and his bloodshot eyes seemed to bulge out of their sockets.

"Good to see you trying out your newest moves," Ben huffed out, sweat running down his forehead. Lucario similarly panted in exertion. Pokémon battles were never a walk in the park, but at least their attacks weren't quite as relentless as they were on this world. Here, Ben did not care that he needed a moment to rest, and there was no obvious move call for him to expect what was next. It was a minor source of frustration, but Lucario was nothing if not adaptive. The two were now making their way to the mess hall of the station to get some grub. Lucario was curious to see what kind of meals were made by aliens, but on their way, they encountered someone Ben seemed familiar with. To Lucario, it resembled a human with some feline features, only with periwinkle fur across most of its face except for the middle, which was instead white. It wore what looked blue armor and carried some strange device. The symbol on Ben's Omnitrix lay at the center, which was surrounded by various white parts.

"Rook! How's it been? I hope you enjoyed your vacation," Ben said to the now named Rook. Clearly Ben was familiar with this individual, so Lucario knew that he was to be respected.

"It was pretty good, all things I considered. I was able to spend some good times with Rayona, and I certainly feel a lot less stressed out now. I only wish I was there to help you defeat the Vreedles," Rook answered. Red eyes locked onto orange. "Oh. Is this a new friend? I have read upon many alien species, but I apologize. I am drawing a blank," Rook politely inquired.

"I… well. My name is Lucario. Nice to meet you, I suppose," Lucario shakily answered, holding out his right paw. Seeing this, Rook took the extended paw and shook it, giving a pleasant smile in the meanwhile.

"Well then, Lucario. It is nice to meet you too. Pardon me for asking, but I do not think I recognize your species in any database of species," Rook replied. Lucario began to sweat a little. He was relying on Ben to help him out, and he wasn't exactly sure how he was going to explain that he came from an entirely different version of Earth.

"Rook, can you come with me for a second? You're making Lucario a bit nervous," Ben said, noticing Lucario's discomfort at the situation around him. Rook gave a confused look, but seeing the serious look on Ben's face, nodded and followed him, leaving Lucario behind. "Rook. What I'm about to tell you is something that might be better known to only a few select people, and right now, that list is Paradox, Azmuth, Gwen, Kevin, and me. It's just somewhat delicate, so please listen closely."

"You rarely act like this, so it must be something very serious. Is he some experiment of Dr. Animo you freed and are attempting to rehabilitate? Some new human-alien hybrid?" Rook replied.

"No and no. I know this might be a bit confusing, but Lucario's species is Lucario. I know, I know, it's odd for a person to be named after their species, but he comes from an alternate Earth where these strange creatures called Pokémon live side by side with humans," Ben explained. The result was immediate, that being a very shocked expression on Rook's face, but only for a brief moment.

"I see. I can understand why you would want to keep it on the down low, especially considering what our enemies would do if they found out about Lucario's unique origins, but can I at least know what exactly his skill set is?" Rook said in understanding. Knowing that Lucario would be sticking around for the foreseeable future, Ben figured it was best that his main Plumber partner to know what exactly Lucario could do.

"Fair enough. But I think that might better straight from the horse's mouth, don't you think?" Ben replied.

"Why are you calling Lucario a horse? He looks more like one of Earth's jackals if it were bipedal and dyed black and blue," Rook asked. Metaphors and idioms were still something of an issue for Rook, but he did have some form of improvement. It was rare that he'd take an idiom literally, though it could still happen at times.

"No. I mean that you'd find it better if he told you directly what he could do rather than just what I've seen thus far," Ben explained. As the two made their way to Lucario, an alarm rang out.

"Will Magister Rook Blonko and Ben Tennyson please report to the Head Office? I repeat: will Magister Rook Blonko and Ben Tennyson please report to the Head Office?" the voice of Ben's grandfather called through the speaker system.

"That can't be good. Rook, you go on ahead. I'll go get Lucario and catch up with you in a second," Ben explained as the alarm continued to blare. Rook quickly nodded, as Ben turned into XLR8. Speeding off, he located Lucario, who was clearly not comfortable with the loud alarm.

"Grab on, Lucario! Guess that mission is coming sooner than I thought," XLR8 quipped. Able to grasp what he was saying, Lucario reluctantly grabbed onto XLR8's waist. As the two blue aliens sped off, they were able to rejoin with Rook just as he entered the Head Officer. Much to Lucario's relief, the walls seemed to be soundproof, as the alarm stopped ringing. It was a shame the same didn't happen to his stomach, though. The rush of moving such a speed left Lucario's stomach in knots, and while he didn't feel sick enough to vomit, it certainly was enough for him to groan in discomfort.

"Grandpa? What happened?" Ben asked in concern. Hearing this, Lucario got hold of himself, and turned to face the direction where Ben and Rook's gaze was directed. They were facing an elderly man with greying hair, and his attire consisted of a flowery red t-shirt, blue pants, and brown shoes. While he didn't look particularly threatening with his heavyset body, Lucario wasn't sure if he was more Snorlax or Vigoroth. After the familiar flash of green light flooded Lucario's vision, Ben stood once again in XLR8's place.

"Ben! Rook! Good to see you responded immediately to the alarm," Ben's grandfather noted. Lucario knew that it wouldn't be long before his gaze would land on him. Soon enough, that turned out to be the case. Lucario could see the wisdom and experience within the eyes of the heavyset man. "And might you introduce me to your new friend?"

Ben seemed to be ready to begin, even managing to let out, "Well, his name is…"

"Wait a second. When Gwen and Kevin helped bring in the Vreedles they mentioned about some humanoid jackal from an alternate world named Lucario. That wouldn't happen to be you?" Ben's grandfather said in a knowing tone. Conceding, Lucario let out a sigh of relief that at least Ben wouldn't have to keep introducing him to others.

"Yes. I am the same Lucario. However, I believe introductions can wait. You called Ben and Rook here for a reason. Correct, Mr. Tennyson?" Lucario politely replied.

Chuckling, Ben's grandfather gave a friendly smile and answered, "Please, no need for Mr. Tennyson. Call me Max! If Gwen and Kevin trust you, and if Ben brought you with him, I think I can trust you!" More than anything, this lessened the burden weighing on Lucario's shoulders. A smile broke across his face, but this faded when Max assumed a serious facial expression.

"Unfortunately, Lucario brings up a good point," Max's expression became morose, "Rook. There's no easy way to say this, but your father was attacked today."

The response was immediate: Ben's eyes widened in shock while taking a sharp gasp of air. "What?! Who would do something like that and why?! My father is a good man, and would not hurt anyone without reason!" Rook exclaimed in shock.

Max continued, "It seems Kundo had some people who believed in his rhetoric, and they broke him out and attacked him but don't worry, Rook. Your father's alive, but he's in very critical condition. We would have treated him on Revonnah, but given that he was attacked there, we're moving him to Earth, where we have more of a Plumber presence to protect him during his recover. Sheriff Wat-Senn can help explain what the security detail will be," Taking out a device similar to the symbol of the Omnitrix, an individual similar to Rook appeared hovering atop the device. Unlike Rook, his fur seemed to be greener, having a white mustache with sideburns. He also seemed to have more of Max's body shape and with an attire with varying shades of orange.

"The pleasure is all mine, Magister Tennyson. I am taking the entire Rook family with me, hopefully away from Kundo and his followers. Afterwards, we are taking him to the Bellwood hospital, since they have become one of the first clinics in the world to start allowing aliens to be patients without issue," Sheriff Wat-Senn claimed.

"Hopefully, by the time Kundo and forces manage to find out and arrive, it will be enough for Rook Da to recover. The trip will be taking about 24 hours, and we will leave in 6. Hopefully enough time to gather some Plumbers for the family's protection," Kundo heard over the radio. It turned out that Nax's sister, Red Nyiti, had, alongside stealing Kundo's arm, left a listening device in the sheriff's room. Kundo smirked at the knowledge.

"Like I told you before, master, we will do anything to help in your noble quest. " Nyiti said in a seductive but raspy voice. Attached to her back were scabbards holding a plasma sword-bow hybrid weapon. Her purple hair was long, and covered her left eye, and she wore black robes over a brown dress resembling sarashi. As Nax continued to try to reattach his arm to his stump, Kundo could not help but grin at the news. How was it that the Plumbers could be so ignornat? Then again, the chaos from the fight between the huntress and sheriff did leave enough chaos that it would by difficult to ascertain the location of a tiny little electronic ear.

"We know when they leave, master. But how exactly does this help us?" Nax asked. Silently sighing, Kundo decided to explain his plan. Loyal as they were, they were blindly loyal, emphasis on blind.

"Once the 6 hours pass, you three will help me take over one of the ships that helps transport Amber Ogia products to other planets, and then with my powers, I will have it follow that traitorous sheriff so that we can track down the Rook family. Then, once we arrive..." Kundo explained.

"We slaughter them while making Blonko watch before taking his life! A very good plan master!" Nax finished, raising his fist in triumph.

As Ben, Rook, Max, and Lucario waited for Wat-Senn to arrive, Lucario decided it was time to ask a question that had been itching his mind. "Ben, who is this Kundo, and why would he hate us so much?"

Rook began. "Kundo is one of my kind, a Revonnahgander from planet Revonnah. He's a grandmaster of Revonnah's main martial art, Revonnah Kai. But that's not what makes him dangerous. It's that he's..."

"A complete nutcase who believes in keeping Revonnah stuck in the past and totally hates any sort of modernization," Ben interrupted.

Max chuckled at the apt summary of Kundo before continuing. "He wasn't happy when Rook chose to abandon the path of a boring, farming life and spend his skills helping others, and apparantly, his family crossed the line when Rook's younger sister, Rook Shar, elected to become a Plumber as well," Lucario took this knowledge in, but was confused by something.

"Haven't you refered to him all the time as Rook? You imply that's his first name, but how come his sister shares the first name?" Lucario asked in bewilderment.

"Oh. I should have mentioned. Revonnah naming traditions are a little counterintuitive. Rook is my family name, much Ben, Max, and Gwen's are Tennyson and Kevin's is Levin. If we were going by traditional Earth name standards, my name would technically be Blonko Rook," Rook explained. Hearing this explained things, so Lucario nodded in understanding. With them accepting the gesture as permission to continue, Max took the reigns of the explanation.

"You remember how Kundo was so intent on preserving traditions? Well, turns out he was also willing to break those "sacred traditions" if it suited him. He was smuggling Amber Ogia, Revonnah's main commodity. It's a fruit with each part having numerous uses: the stems and leaves are flexible and have great tensile strength, letting them be turned into fabric, armor, and even building materials once compressed. The fruit itself is sweet and succulent, while also being a great source of electrolytes. Thus, it's both a delicacy and an incredible power source, and makes Revonnah one of the few completely self-sustainable planets in the galaxy," Lucario couldn't help but marvel at this. The idea of a completely self-sustained culture was incredible. Had that been the case, perhaps there wouldn't be as much struggle over resources.

"So he pretty much snuck onto the ship that was bringing Shar to Earth to try and force her back. We fought against him, and he was one tough nut to crack. Strong, skilled, and incredibly violent, though also a total technophobe. From what Rook tells me, though, he was too used to fighting against others of his kind, and meanwhile Rook had gone against a much greater variety of species. Thus, Kundo ended up trounced, but one Blastonium bath later caused a nearly fatal accident. He survived, but lost all his fur and the entirety of his left arm, ending up with a prosthetic limb," Ben finished.

"Hmmm. I see. But clearly, that wasn't the end of your encounters with him, if his apparent escape implies," Lucario responded. Clearly he was assumed dead, so he must have been captured at some other point."

"Yeah. Somehow that new arm of his give him cybernetic powers. And he became a lot worse, and wanted to exterminate all Plumbers from the face of the galaxy, using a computer virus that would cause every Plumber base to self destruct. Thankfully we managed to stop him fromdoing so, and had him shipped off to a mental facility. But eventually the institute workers decided that since it was his arm that gave him power, they had it removed and decided to leave his fate to his people, who you can imagine weren't happy with him. They banished him from society permanently and decided he should watch the traditions he fought hard to defend vanish, and see his planet undergo modernization," Ben finished.

"Hmmm. Quite the ironic fate, but apparently, some approved of what he said and now what to harm you as part of their master's vendetta," Lucario mused. "But I think that since you and Ben have fought him before, you can focus on defeating him. I believe I should be able to handle a few angry farmers."

"Perhaps, but at any rate, we have to ready ourselves for the coming attack," Rook stated firmly, a serious expression etched across his face. His eyes showed hatred and anger, and Lucario couldn't really blame him: this was a madman out for his family's blood, and he had betrayed the traditions of his people while claiming to fight for them.

30 Hours Later

In the time that had passed, Lucario, Ben, Max, and Rook were now outside Bellwood General Hospital. Even from within, Lucario could sense the varying Auras of the different aliens and humans inside the edifice. However, given how soon they would be arriving, Ben had taken measures to make sure there were no other intruders, having turned into a strange blind canine. It had no eyes or ears, but had spikes on its back and front legs, black lips and orange fur, and gills on the sides of his neck. His only attire was a green and white collar with the Omnitrix symbol serving as a sort of dog tag. Lucario remembered the name Ben gave this form: Wildmutt.

Codon Stream Entry: Wildmutt

Species: Vulpimancer

Home World: Vulpin

For a long time, Vulpin was used to serve as a dumping ground for waste far too hazardous to be on an inhabited planet. This was due to a mistaken belief that the planet was uninhabited, especially since it was a pitch black planet and mostly full of even darker caves. Therefore, the revelation that it was actually inhabited served as a major shock. They tried to make repairs, but generations of dumping toxic waste poisoned and mutated the natural life of the planet, and there was no way to repair the damage. However, the revelation of the sentient Vulpimancer race gave the galactic community a choice to atone for their misdeeds. Vulpimancers became the face of environmental campaigns, and a cautionary of the dangers of reckless waste disposal. Due to living in dark caves most of their lives, they have full lost visual input, but this has been offset by mutations brought about to exposure to the toxic waste. They have incredible hearing and smell, able to pick up the faintest smells and track them down, and their hearing basically gives them an incredibly precise sonar sense. Their mutations have also made them faster, stronger, and incredibly agile, being more of a fusion of a gorilla and a canine.

¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦l¦

"Are you sure that we will be able to stop Kundo?" Accompanying them was Rook's oldest younger sibling, and the older of two sisters: Rook Shar. She was quite similar to her brother in terms of her fur color, but unlike her bald brother, she had long violet hair held up by a white headband, and unlike her brother who wore blue and black armor, her armor was black and white. Strapped to her waist was also some strange white cylinder, possibly her weapon. Soon enough, a massive craft arrived, with the wings having emblems similar to the faceplate of the Omnitrix and also being more triangular. While the original design had the galactic symbol of piece on it, these ships were more aerodynamic, and functioned better in actual combat.

As it landed, Lucario decided to see if he could sense for any intruders. Closing his eyes and initiating Detect, he tried to sense more than the expected number of Auras. The Rook siblings told him that alongside their parents, there were two girls, Shar and Shim, and a boy, Ben. When Lucario asked why, Rook explained that younger Revonnahganders had little tails called bi'nthaks that would fall of at a certain age, whereupon they decided on their name. Rook Ben idolized Ben Tennyson, so he willingly chose to be named after said human.

As the group finally arrived, Rook detected six different Auras. Two would be Rook's parents, three for his siblings, and one for Sheriff Wat-Senn. Smiling, Lucario told the others that there were no stowaways. As the Rook family exited the craft, Lucario began counting off each member. First came an older female Revonnahgander with a brown turban trying to push a stretcher consisting of a bandaged male Revonnahgander with a white beard. Rook identified them as Rook Shar and Rook Da, Blonko's parents. Next came two Revonnahgander girls; unlike Blonko and Shar, though, their faces were entirely periwinkle instead of the massive white patch in the center of the face. The older of the two, Shar, had white hair in a ponytail fashion while her younger sister Shim didn't have much hair, but rather slightly prominent canines.

"Is it true that Ben Tennyson will protect our father?" A young voice called out. Rook Ben looked similar to his only brother, albeit obviously much smaller and having similar canines to his youngest sister. The hope shining in his eyes at this news was almost blinding.

As Wildmutt walked to Rook Ben, he gave a toothy grin, and nuzzled him, with Max giving his assurance. "Don't worry, kiddo. Your father just needs a little surgery and a lot of rest. We'll all work to protect you and your family."

This happy mood, though, would not last long.

Seconds ticked by. Minute after minute passed. Still, every second felt like an eternity to Kundo. How long until they arrived on that infernal planet? Kundo's arm spasmed in fury. Kaala proved surprisingly good at piloting in spite of his boisterous demeanour. Nax was meditating as his sister continued to practice forms with her plasma bowswords. Every second that passed was one where the Plumbers continued to evade justice. It made him angry. Angry! ANGRY! HOW LONG UNTIL THIS BLASPHEMOUS CONTRAPTION ARRIVED ON...!

"We are reaching close to Ee-Arth in about half of an Ee-Arth hour," Kaala said, interrupting Kundo's musings.

"Kaala, it is actually pronounced Earth," Nax clarified.

"Are you sure about that? There is an A in the name of the planet. Whatever it is actually called, I will still keep calling it Ee-Arth," Kaala responded.

"Does it matter? If you two are done prattling, we should be focusing on making our way to the planet," Nyiti ordered.

After escorting the Rook family to the sick bay for surgery alongside Sheriff Wat-Senn, Blonko, Shar, Lucario, Max, and Widmutt patrolled around the hospital, hunting for signs of Kundo's arrival. Still, Wildmutt proved redundant when the booming sound of thrusters roaring in the sky. Turning into Heatblast, Ben recognized the ship's design: it was one of the new ships used by Revonnah in transporting Amber Ogia products to new worlds. Once it landed, one expected though unwanted visitor was walking out of the ramp leading to the inside of the ship: Kundo. However, it seemed he had gotten some help from some other Revonnahganders, and they were making their way behind him.

First came a smaller Revonnahgander with mostly black hair, but it also had a purple streak cutting through it. Attached to his hips were sheathed knives, and his right eye had a scratch going through it, and the cornea was also milky white. Alongside him was a female Revonnahgander with long purple hair, with some of her bangs covering her right eye. An energy bow lay strapped across her back, and her brow was furrowed. Finally, there came a much bigger Revonnahgander. He wasn't fat, but he was extremely muscular, with a massive white patch in the center of his face much like Blonko and Shar, though he entirely lacked hair.

"Ah yes. I should have known you insidious Plumbers would try to step in to defend the family of the traitors. Nyiti, Nax, Kaala, make your way to Rook Da. These Plumber traitors are mine to kill!" Kundo ranted.

"What of the newcomer, though? Is he even a Plumber or involved in our conflict?" the muscular Revvonahgander asked. "If he is, I will be more than happy to crush him into a pile of dust!"

"He is standing amongst them. That should indicate where he stands Raijin," the female answered, putting her palm to her forehead. Drawing her energy bow, she created an energy arrow and ready it for release. Lucario noticed this and immediately sent out a telepathic message to Ben, Shar, Blonko, and Max.

"You four go up against Kundo. If he really is as dangerous as I've been told, you'll need as much power as you can. I'll handle his lackeys and keep Rook Da safe," Heatblast noticed the message and gave a shocked expression. However, it seemed he remembered their agreement and nodded. It also seemed that Max understood the logic, so when the Rook siblings tried to move to ask him, he put a hand on Blonko's shoulder and shook his head to say "no". Heatblast quickly unleashed an exploding fireball at Kundo, sending him a good distance away.

"Master, no!" the one-eyed Revonnahgander cried out.

"I can handle them! Take care of that thing in front of the hospital!" Kundo ordered as he flew a good distance away. Snapping out of their stupor as the Plumber quad moved out, the Reonnahgander trio began to circle Lucario. Unsheathing his knives, the one-eyed Revonnahgander chuckled.

"I do not know who or what you are. I do know that you are either very brave or very foolish. Regardless, our master's will shall be followed," Sighing, Lucario could hear the fanaticism in the voice despite it being quite soft. He got into a fighting stance, mentally readying himself for battle.

The claws on Kundo's prosthetic scraped through the asphalt of the road as if it was softwood. Heatblast rocketed over to the maddened Revonnah Kai grandmaster, followed by Rook and his sister. Max quickly followed, managed to build a Mark 12 Techadorian Multiblaster on the way. Kundo growled ferally at this display.

"You heathens! You dare to strike me?! For that, I assure your ends will be painful, and that you will be the first in my noble quest to purge the universe of your filthy presence!" Kundo ranted, eyes practically glowing in rage.

"Enough! A monster like you does not get to make such judgments! You claim to protect us, yet you have no qualms severely injuring a peaceful, elderly farmer who was a loving father to his children!" Rook fired back, shifting his Proto-Tool into an energy whip. Crackling with power, Rook sent the whip straight towards him while Heatblast unleashed a stream of fire. Nimbly dodging both attacks, Kundo's right arm, the one that he hadn't lost in his accident, crackled with power, and punching it into the ground, unleashed a powerful wave of yellow energy, cutting through the asphalt look butter. As the four dodged, Max began firing the blaster gun, unleashing a hail of energy bullets. Kundo gasped, before erecting an energy shield made of yellow energy. Rook was shocked at this. Seeing this, Kundo smirked.

"You see, I did not teach everything I know as you claimed before you kicked me into that Blastonium! There are more tricks than just the Stone Cutter! I thought that was good enough for a filthy traitor like you, Blonko, but it seems you are intent on forcing my hand," Kundo explained. Seeing that it was an energy attack, the cogs in Ben's brain turned on. Energy attacks were the domain of either Chromastone or Feedback, and he'd been hoping to get some time with his favorite form. Slapping the Omnitrix, Ben transformed into what one could call a crystal golem not unlike Diamondhead. Made mostly of purple crystals, Chromastone was a cycloptic being with black spots and stripes across his body. However, his face and hands were magenta instead of purple, and there were also magenta crystal spikes littering his body: one on his head, six on his back, and two on his upper chest. The Omnitrix symbol lay in the center of his chest.

"Chromastone? I was going for Feedback, but this will work just fine," Chromastone said, his voice having a slight echo.

Species: Crystalsapien

Home World: Petropia

Only one Crystalsapien exists in the entire universe: the guardian of the planet Petropia, Sugilite. While it is rumored that more of his race exists in a planet called Mor' Otsei, this is nothing more than a legend. Crystalsapiens are silicon-based lifeforms, and yield unique powers. They able to absorb multiple forms of energy: light, kinetic, lasers, radiation, electricity, or even magic. However, they absorb light and kinetic energy very inefficiently, and have a much more efficient absorption of lasers, radiation, magic, and electric attacks. After they absorb energy, Crystalsapiens can use it in various ways. They can manipulate ultraviolet energy, allowing them to shoot powerful energy blasts, create energy shields and force fields, and can create light to help them see in darkness or blind opponents. Finally, Crystalsapiens can fly and survive in the vacuum of outer space, and their crystalline bodies offer a lot of strength and durability, as well as surprising flexibility and agility.

"Perhaps it is better, but I hope our new ally is doing well," Blonko wondered.

Lucario felt the wind getting knocked out of him after the muscular Revonnahgander had given a mighty blow to his chest, though found that his chest spike wasn't decorative. Red blood trickled down the spike, and a nasty gash lay across said Revonnahgander's right fist. Still, Lucario found himself rather flummoxed. The muscular Revonnahgander wasn't that smart or strategic, but he would hit like an angry Ursaring every time. The other two weren't that easy either. The only female amongst them showed great skill in weaponry, since her bow also turned into a pair of sabers, and Lucario was happy that his wrist spikes weren't made of ordinary metal as they appeared. The final member may have blind in one eye and seemed rather frail, but his speed and knives made him seem more like a starving Sneasel.

Still, Detect was proving to be very effective, as no matter how fast an attack was, it was useless if the opponent knew about it in advance. Explosive energy arrows began to rain down as the female Revonnahgander fused her swords back into a bow. Small craters appeared wherever they landed as well as small shockwaves that would knock him slightly off balance.

"I must admit you are very impressive, whoever you are. Had we not been enemies, I would have enjoyed sparing you as a partner. Still, I fight for Revonnah's future," the muscular one replied.

"I see. Whoever you are, you are a mighty warrior. So why is someone like you throwing their chips in with a madman like Kundo?" Lucario asked.

"Please, my name is Kaala Raijin. I throw my chips, as you said, in with Kundo because I worry of our obsolescence. Machinery needs no work, and yet it can do far more arduous tasks than even the strongest of Revvonahganders. What will become of us then? The traitor and his family claim that this will help us, but he is so badly corrupted by modernity that he has forsaken the importance of the body of the Revonnahgander" the newly named Kaala explained. Lucario was stunned. It wasn't an entirely unfounded fear. Why would one hire a person if a machine could do the job far better in every way? It wasn't an entirely incorrect worry, but his reaction was a far cry from what was rational.

"I see. I can see why you fight, but this is not the way to go about this. What of you two? Why do you fight alongside Kundo?" Lucario asked the other two Revonnahganders.

"Still your tongue, heathen! Do not talk about our master in such a disrespectful tone!" the one-eyed Revonnahgander exclaimed in anger. "I, Red Nax, was a spiritual leader, and even one Earth year into the modernization of our culture, so many different things have happened. The young ones no longer respect the ancestral spirits! Instead of working hard, they have begun to laze around, controlling the insipid machines and considering the stories our ancestors considered sacred nothing more than meaningless garble! Kundo wants us to return Revonnah back to what it was, and for such a quest, how can I not serve him? My life will have meaning and I will no longer been seen as a fool!" Lucario found himself angered. This seemed to be more about his ego than the well-meaning intentions of Kaala Raijin.

However, he had no time to seethe, as Nax seemed to be doing something odd: he was spinning the knives in circular motions. However, the reasoning behind it became obvious as Lucario noticed growing amounts of electricity surrounding the blades. Soon enough, he then unleashed a mighty slash, releasing two shockwaves of blue electricity at the Aura Pokémon. As Lucario dodged the attack, he quickly found himself needing to dodge a flurry of knife slashes, and all at a speed that made him think of XLR8. He thought out loud. "What are those knives made of?"

The one-eyed Revonnahgander gave a sadistic grin. "You want to know? Well, my friend, the material of the blades are a combination of materials from Kinet and Teslavorr! Teslavorr's ores make them highly conductive, even to the smallest amounts of static electricity in the atmosphere, and Kinet's materials let it withstand such high levels of charge!" With this, Nax took in another deep breath, and once again, Detect proved handy as Lucario managed to block each knife strike.

While Nax quickly breathed in, Lucario began to realize something: it wasn't a breath of exhaustion each time, it was a cleansing breathe! It was meant to purge the mind of distractions, much like Sir Aaron taught him as he first used Detect: clear the mind and focus. That gave Lucario an idea. Charging up dark energy, Lucario imbued horrible thoughts into the Dark Pulse. Just before the knives could Lucario's throat, he unleashed the evil wave. As it swept over the maddened spiritual leader, the effects of the negativity within had a clear effect: soon enough, his eyes opened in shock, and he screamed in shock. His concetration broken, Lucario took advantage of the spiritual leader's dazed state and unleashed a massive Aura Sphere. Screaming as he went flying into a wall, the collision with stone knocked the man unconscious.

Locking at her comrade in shock, the female Revonnahgander let out a war cry as she swiftly began to make a mad dash at Lucario, turning her bow into their energy swords. Feeling that he would be unable to respond in time, Lucario closed his eyes for the imminent slash across his body.

The fight against Kundo had been proving very difficult. Chromastone turned out to be the right choice, as Ben had no trouble absorbing Kundo's energy attacks, but he was still proving far too quick and strong to fight. Even now, Rook Shar had not shown what her weapon was and relying more on hand to hand combat. The anger on both her face and her brother's was obvious.

"Why do you continue fight against us? Your path has done this to you! How can you continue to be so blind?!" Blonko screamed in frustration. That only seemed to rile up Kundo even more.

"No. My path is pure! You are the filth that infects planets! Because of your rebellion, your sister decided to break her traditional role, and refused to settle down as all Revonnahganders should! How many more women and children are going to follow your path of rule breaking?! Technology is only a symptom of the plague infecting Revonnah, the Plumbers are the disease!" Kundo screamed, all sanity turned to dust.

"Traditional role? TRADITIONAL ROLE?! If that is what you believe my place is, then let me show you something," Rook Shar furiously yelled. Pulling out the cylinder strapped to her waist, she pushed the button on it, and it unfolded into a design Blonko never forgot: the glaive-like scythe of Revonnah, complete with a circular handle at the end opposite to the blade. Instead of being made of metal, though, red energy made up the blade. "I have not forgotten my roots. Yes, I am still a Plumber, but have not forgotten that my family were farmers. That is why my weapon is that of a traditional farming tool," As Kundo stared in shock, Rook Shar took the opportunity to quickly slice off the forearm of his prosthetic, causing it clatter on the ground.

"Well. I see that you have not abandoned your duty in some small way, and even managed to get a good hit on me. But do not think this changes anything," Grinning, Kundo chuckled as wires came out of the stump on his arm, and quickly reattached the severed limb, welding it back to normal. "As much as I despise being this half-Revonnahgander, half-machine abomination, I can not say that it does not come without its advantages."

Gritting his teeth, Chromastone unleashed another blast of ultraviolet energy at Kundo while at the same time, Max and Rook simultaneously fired their weapons to an onsalught against him. Erecting yet another energy shield, Kundo dug his heels into the ground, as Blonko came up with an idea.

"Ben! Perhaps if we destroy his prosthetic, we may stand a better chance! Turn into Big Chill! I have an idea!" Rook ordered.

"On it!" Chromastone then took a magneta hand and pressed onto the Omnitrix symbol. Now in Ben's place stood a lanky figure, seemingly covered in a blue cloak. When the cloak unfurled though, the full appearance of Ben's new form was revealed. The cloak was more akin to four wings and a pair of antennae, and to summarize, Big Chill looked like a blue mothman. Green compound eyes lay on his face, and frosty vapor was exhaled from his mouth. Most of his body was black, but cyan patches across his legs, shoulders, back of his wings and neck, and arms were reminiscent of ice chunks. Three blue plates lay across his chest, with the Omnitrix symbol smack in the center.

Codon Stream Entry: Big Chill

Species: Necrofriggian

Home World: Kylmyys

Due to a cataclysmic event, Kylmyys ended up stuck in what can be described as eternal winter. Glacial ice and snow coat most of the planet, and even the warmest days barely go above 275 Kelvins. Due to this, the Necrofriggian race was forced to adapt to extraordinarily cold climates, but since they also need to feed on solar plasma after their hatching, they need to withstand the heat of a star's surface. As such, Necrofriggians are pretty much immune to any form of temperature extremity, and can survive both underwater and in space. However, they are masters of ice manipulation. A Necrofriggian's breath can freeze opponents solid to trap them in ice, and they can also create frost tornadoes, generate ice maces or spiked ice gaunlets on their hands, fire beams that freeze opponents from their hands, erect icy shields, and energy beams that turn into ice upon touching a surface or solid object. To further reduce the effect of the cold climate, Necrofriggians also developed the ability to become intangible, letting them phase through walls and attack, even allowing them to freeze object by flying through them while intangible, but this is also a conscious power, so it can not work against sneak attacks. Necrofriggians are an asexual race, undergoing a reproductive cycle every 80 Earth years that forces them to eat metal so as to help construct a nest for their eggs, so gender lies upon the individual Necrofriggian.

"Alright, Kundo. Perhaps we ought to help you chill out," Big Chill replied in a ghostly whisper. "Let's just hope your lackeys are doing well,"

Just as Lucario thought he would be feeling blades slicing across his stomach, something odd happened. All of a sudden he found himself right behind the sword-wielding assassin. Seizing the opportunity, he slammed his paw into her back, knocking her forward.

"What the?! How did you end up behind me? I did not even blink!" she asked in frustration and confusion. "No matter. I will not let you get away with defeating my brother!"

"Brother? If you are her sister, than why would you not try to dissuade, Miss?" Lucario said.

"Because we agreed on Kundo's ideals. I, Red Nyiti, was one of the best huntresses on Revonnah. It was my duty to keep my mind sharper and my senses sharper in order to protect them from the pests that would destroy our precious Amber Ogia. However, I have seen what modernization will do to us! It will make us lazy and complacent, and us hunters and guardians will be obsolete!" she ranted, fury evident in her voice.

"Is this what you and your brother are motivated by? The inability to adjust to a new era? At least Raijin has somewhat good intentions and a genuine worry, you two are more concerned of your position than your people!" Lucario said angrily. Trying to recall what he did, Lucario realized that he had learned one of the more versatile moves: Double Team. Taking a deep breath, Lucario focused.

To Nyiti, all of a sudden, numerous copies of the strange bipedal canine appeared all around her. Still, the creature's insults would not be tolerated. If he dared to belittle her, she would make sure that he did not leave the fight alive. Letting out a mighty cry, she slashed at one of them, only to once again hit nothing but air. She tried to slash another one, only to recieve the same result. This happened again and again and again, only to receive the same result each time, forcing her to go back to bow form. The explosive arrows still continued to miss her opponent

"Are you mocking me like this? Come out, you coward, and fight me like a warrior! Or is this your way of admitting defeat?" She screamed in fury. However, soon after firing arrows through yet another set of clones, she found only one left. Smirking, she assumed this one was the real one. Turning them back into blades, she dashed at the creature. However, she was shocked when she found herself hitting air yet again.

"Nyiti! Watch out!" She heard Kaala call out. However, that warning came too late. A blue energy sphere crashed into her, and she launched straight across the road, colliding into a road lamp, dropping her blades and falling unconscious.

Lucario smiled at this success of his maneuver. Just before she could attack him, Lucario performed the same maneuver that he used the first time he used Double Team: leave an illusionary clone in his place and attack from behind. Then there was one. "Honestly, I find it sad that we must fight on opposite sides. You at least have good intentions compared to the Red siblings. But I can not let you hurt an old man and his family," Lucario explained.

"Believe me. I know. This feels so wrong, but honestly, this is no longer about hurting them, nor serving Kundo," Kaala told Lucario, surprising him.

"What? It isn't?" Lucario was surprised to hear this.

"If the Plumbers can forge warriors like you, maybe I have the wrong idea about the path of technology. My fight against you has been one of the best I have ever been in. You are truly a worthy opponent, whoever you are. So I would like to make a deal. A duel between warriors," Kaala said, chuckling.

"A duel? This isn't a trick, is it?"

"NO! On my honor, I will follow your terms if you win. If I win this fight and knock you out, I will surrender myself to the Plumbers and let you decide what to do with me,"

"I see. If I win, I assure you that I will try and show that you were well-meaning, so that we may spar every once in a while," Lucario laid his terms.

"That seems fair. Just tell me your name first. I would like to know the name of my most worthy opponent thus far," The two blue warriors circled each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.

"Very well. My name is Lucario," Kaala nodded, before the two warriors charged at one another.

BGM: "Victory Road" Super Smash Bros Brawl

The two fighters locked arms, each trying to overpower the other. Lucario knew he would not win, so he quickly leaped back. The sudden loss of forward momentum caused Kaala to stumble. Lucario took the opportunity to try and lunge kick him. However, Kaala quickly regained his footing, and grabbed Lucario's leg. Swinging him around for a few minutes, Kaala threw Lucario into a wall. Just before he could burst through it, though, Lucario fired an Aura Sphere at the ground, sending him flying upwards. Managing to land on the roof, Lucario proceeded to slide down the wall, making a gentle landing on the ground.

"Creative use of your power, Lucario. I thought fighting the first Blonko Plumber would be fun, but you are a warrior to be reckoned with," Kaala replied. Lucario could not help but smirk at this: not many opponents really complimented their opponent during a fight. However, given this was now a duel for bragging rights, not life and death, he could relax. He also noticed that Kaala had dropped the "traitor" title, and seemed to be more respectful of Rook Blonko now. Giving a mighty cry, Lucario charged up an Aura Sphere and sent it hurtling towards the big Revonnahgander. Kaala crossed his arms in front of him to block the attack. It had quite a bit of power behind it, so he dug his heels into ground to try and not be sent flying.

Lucario smiled. It wasn't often that a fight was for bragging rights and honor, so he wanted to make this fun. "Maybe you're strong! But let's see you try and break this illusion!" Initiating Double Team, Lucario sent several illusionary copies of himself to surround Kaala.

"A good trick! But it will not save you from my might!" Kaala cried out. Raising his fists, he slammed them into the ground, releasing a powerful shockwaves that sent asphalt flying into the sky. However, every Lucario there jumped straight into the air. Figuring he could stun them with a mighty clap, Kaala slammed his fists together, only to be surprised when the moment before his palms slammed together, blue energy engulfed them. Before he could pull his down to look at them, his palms clapped together, and booming sound wave emanated from his palms. Every Lucario illusion dispelled into blue wisps, while the real one was stunned and fell to the ground, dazed. Even Kaala felt dizzy from the sound wave!

"How did you do that? You didn't show that kind of power earlier," Lucario asked, his voice slightly slurred from a dizzy mind.

"I do not know. That I can promise you," Kaala replied truthfully.

"Doesn't matter. I'm sorry, but this fight is over," Lucario proceeded to charge up another Aura Sphere, but this time, he sent it slightly behind him. Before Kaala could even block, Lucario proceeded to smash into him with a flying kick, sending him crashing through the hospital.

"Ouch! That really hurt! But that only shows how good you are! I think you have earned the title of winner of this fight," Kaala said before falling unconscious.

BGM End

"I've won. I'VE WON! YES!" Lucario thought to himself, raising his fist in the air victoriously.

Lucario's victory would be good news had the fight with Kundo been over. Thankfully, it would be soon enough.

"Turn into as many abominations as you like! You will not stop me!" Kundo said. Charging into his right hand, he unleashed a slew of energy blasts, each one creating an explosion where it landed. Max had years of Plumber training on his side, however, and the Revonnahgander siblings, thanks to Plumber training, dodged the attacks with ease.

"Ben! Shar! Disarm him!" Rook Blonko ordered. Finally seeing what he was meaning, Big Chill let out a gale of ice-cold wind. Ambient moisture in the air soon began to freeze, stiffening Kundo's prosthetic before encasing it in a block of ice. Rook Shar took yet another opportunity to try and break his limb. Instead of using her scythe's sharp end, she smacked the frozen prosthetic with the blunt end of her weapon. The sound of ice shattering echoed, and the prosthetic fell apart like fragile china. As Kundo's eyes bugged out, Rook took the opportunity to turn his Proto-Tool into a tonfa and smacked Kundo in the gut.

"No! No! NO! NOT LIKE THIS!" Kundo said between pained gasps. Trying desparately to punch Rook Blonko with his only arm, Kundo attempted to retaliate. However, the younger Revonnhagander proceeded to unleash a fury of rapid punches.

Charging energy into his fist, Rook readied to use his master's favorite trick. "STONE CUTTER!" Punching with the charged fist, Rook Blonko sent Kundo tumbling in a less than graceful manner. Finally crashing into a nearby car, Kundo fell unconscious, defeated by his signature technique.

With the fight over, Kundo was cuffed at his ankles only remaining wrist, ranting all the while about the Plumbers being a plague on the universe, as the Red siblings were cuffed and led out in silence, through the hatred in their eyes spoke all that was needed. However, just before Max could lead Kaala out, Lucario asked if he could speak to him, where he told him about the agreement they had made and the motivations behind his affiliation.

"I see. I can see why he would be worried if he thought that his people would become lazy, and I suppose the fact that he did decide to turn against his master may garner some reasoning for a reduced sentence. I'll ask the higher ups what we can do about that. But you did an amazing job taking care of Kundo's goons," Max told Lucario. Proud that Ben's first teacher had given his support, Lucario smiled. Turning to see Ben and the Rook siblings, Lucario decided to see what they would say.

"I can not thank you enough Lucario for protecting my father. Know that I am very grateful to how much you did," Rook Shar replied.

"You took care of them all by yourself? Not bad Lucario! Maybe you can handle multiple opponents, but we'll have to see what comes next. I'm not going to let you tangle with the big bad guys just yet, you know?" Ben complimented in a half-sincere, half-jokey tone.

"You did well, Lucario. I must say you did a good job. Though, you still have a couple more missions to go until I can fully call you one of us," Rook Blonko said.

This was fine by Lucario. It had been a difficult fight, but they had won the battle. Rook Da's surgery went off without a hitch, though he would need to spend some time on Earth to recover before he was ready to return to Revonnah.

All in all, though, Lucario was a happy Aura Pokémon, having managed to prove himself to Ben's first mentor and his partner.

Author's Note: I sincerely apologize for not sending this out sooner. I tend to focus more on academics, and I forgot about this. Even when I did, I've been under a bad creative slump. However, I am trying to make it a bit more based in action, so that it can be a bit more exciting. So yeah. A new set of villains. In case you're curious, Kickin' Hawk and Wildmutt are using the Omniverse designs, while Chromastone and Big Chill have gone back to their designs in Alien Force/ Ultimate Alien. Next time, though, I'll introduce the final member of Ben's team, as well as another villain from the series. Once again, feel free to favorite, follow, and review this story!
