I don't own Naruto or any of the characters. Kishimoto-san does. If he gave me the Naruto franchise, THEN I'D OWN NARUTO!

The Alphabet with NaruHina!

G is for Gregarious

The school year went on without a hitch. Naruto continued to terrorize Hinata and Hinata continued trying her best to make friends. School was now out, summer came and left, and now it was time for the children to start their firth year of school at the Leaf Academy. Hinata was dolled up in her best uniform. A crisp white button up tucked into a flared plaid skirt paired with little black shoes that had buttons on them. Hinata decided to keep her hair short and had her bangs pulled back with a sunflower clip.

She greeted Iruka-sensei, and took a seat near the back. "Come in now. There's a new student I'd like us all to meet." He calls for the young children.

The room grows quiet, all eyes fall on the little girl before the class. She resembled Hinata a tad bit. Her eyes weren't as clear and instead held a pinkish tint to them. Her hair was long, and as dark as navy blue could possibly be. She wore simple khaki shorts and a long sleeve shirt. What really caught the class's attention was the potted flower in the girl's hands. It was a white morning glory that seemed to have just bloomed.

"This is Mitsuko. Mitsuko, would you like to tell the class about yourself?" Iruka-sensei greets.

She shakes her head no. Iruka smiles and points in the direction of Hinata's seat. Mitsuko sits down, making sure to keep her flower close. Hinata heard the whispers before she even sat down.

What a freak.

What's with the plant?

She probably smells like manure.

Break rolls around and all the children couldn't hell but gather around poor Mitsuko. Tenten introduced herself and the other girls, the same routine that Hinata experienced her first day. Mitsuko only smiles and waves at them. "You don't talk much, do you?" Ino asked.

"..no.." Mitsuko whispers with a blush.

"HA!" The crowd parts to let Naruto and his group fit to surround Mitsuko. Hinata found it particularly interesting the way Kiba's face burned beat red when she caught his eye and waved shyly. "She's a freak too! And what's with this plant?" Naruto makes a beeline for grab the pot but Mitsuko beat him to it.

"No! Don't touch!" Mitsuko shouts.

The bell rings, signifying the end of break.

School ends and Hinata surprisingly wasn't hassled as bad as she usually expected. Naruto's attentions were on the new girl. A part of her felt relief but sad for Mitsuko. It wasn't fun being the outcast within the class. Hinata was on her way home when a sniffle caught her ears. She rounds the corner, coming upon Mitsuko sitting over her broken potted flower. The ceramic pot was in pieces while flower petals were scattered and blowing away. Tears leak from Mitsuko's eyes and dribble at her chin as she sobbed on and on.

Hinata squats down too, pushing the broken pot pieces togther. The seed of the flower pokes the inside of her hand. "It's..it's broken.." Mitsuko hiccups.

"No it's not. We can make it better." Hinata walks towards the edge of the grass and digs a small hole. She buries the seed, patting the disturbed dirt lovingly. "My name is Hyūga Hinata."

Mitsuko dries her tears, glancing at the pretty girl in front of her. "M-Mitsuko.."

Hinata smiles gregariously, offering Mitsuko half of her cookie from lunch.

a relatively positive ending for once! will hinata make a new friend? can i also mention that you guys are amazing? 2k reads in less than a month?! i am forever humbled and grateful. shoutout to my beta who is probably tired of editing my work.

background facts;

mitsuko is an OC from my other naruto fanfic, (you dont have to read it) and i decided to use her again because i really liked the dynamic her and hinata have within my other story. also, the other pairing in this book is kiba and an OC so im sure we can all guess who that is.
