Kagome tore her eyes away from her weeding to stare longingly into the forest again, looking for any sign that her husband had returned. She was disappointed and turned her eyes back to the plants for the 50th or so time that hour, letting out a longing sigh as she did so. Sango, who was working through her drills, paused mid swing of her katana and shook her head at Kagome's obvious dejection. Miroku, who was watching Sango with laser-like precision, didn't so much as glance away from Sango's exceptional form in her slayer outfit.

"Kagome!" Minutes later the dejected priestess glanced up from her misery to find Sango leaning against the fence, her large boomerang weapon leaning against the fence next to her. Miroku had abandoned his seat and was sliding his way towards Sango, eyes on her backside.

"How long did Inuyasha say he would be gone?" To be honest, Kagome was staggered by her friend's blatant acceptance of her tie to a demon. Sango was a demon slayer for kami's sake, but clearly, Kagome had mistaken how loving her friend was. She smiled, thankful to having Sango and her faith on their side.

"He said it should only take a day or two." Then again, she should have been less surprised, considering her friend had a demon companion and had taken in a young demon orphan.

"Well that's good. Kaede said she was making dinner tonight, would you-" she cut off as a certain monk's hand met the curve of her backside.

"Darling Sango, as always you look- ack!" The smooth monk was interrupted by Sango's hand slapping him. Kagome has to bite her lip to keep from laughing and abruptly dove back to her task to stay out of the fight she knew was coming.

"You pervert!"

"I simply can't help it my love! My hand, your backside, it's like magic!"

"The magic of lechery!" His angry slaying fiancée retorted, hands on her hips, face red with a scowl.

"It would be a crime in itself to let such a perfect backside go-ah!" The monk's smooth talking ended abruptly as his future wife swung her large bone weapon at him. Secretly, Kagome wondered exactly how Sango managed such an impressive weapon as she watched the slayer chase the monk around with said weapon.

"Kagome!" Shippo leaped onto Kagome's shoulder and nuzzled her cheek with his. Sango had told her of Shippo's orphaning and her rescuing him from the Thunder Brothers. He was living at the slayer village until any of his other family could be found. The young fox demon had taken very quickly to Kagome and followed her all over when he wasn't playing with the children, enjoying the babying the ex priestess was lavishing on him.

Kagome nuzzled him back and returned to her work, chatting with Shippo to make the time move faster. Sango and Miroku joined them later that evening back at Kaede's hut, the latter sporting some new bruises. The five companions enjoyed a delicious dinner together before retiring for bed. Kagome humming softly as she tucked the young Shippo away like a baby before retiring to her own bed. She saw Kaede shake her head in dismay as Miroku groped Sango as she was preparing for bed, trying not to laugh at the dumbstruck look on the monk's face when his fiancée slapped him.

For Kagome, sleep was restless, dreams of golden eyes and warm arms in a red haori chasing her up until she woke the next morning, feeling a strange aura settle over the village. Slipping out of her bed, Kagome headed towards the door and peered out, noting how quiet it was despite the sun peeking slowly over the trees.

Then, the silence was shattered as a cry of "Demon!" Woke the entire village. Kagome's companions were quickly on their feet as the village began to react. Not even bothering to change, Kagome snatched a bow and quiver of arrows before racing out of the village in her sleeping robe, just in time for several screaming village women to race past her. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a single demon attacking. Kagome quickly noted it was what looked like a half demon leading a group of bandits. The demon was well over 8 feet tall with a long snout, scale like skin and claws adoring both hands and feet. The eyes were reptile-like, but it had a shaggy head of hair and very human-like facial features. It immediately began to make its way towards the first hut at the edge of the village.

"Oh kami," Sango appeared next to Kagome, her slayer outfit hastily pulled on. Miroku was next to her.

"This does not bode well." he announced, saying what all were thinking.

"If it was just the demon we could erect a barrier but…" Kagome trailed off, fingering an arrow out of her quiver and lining it up with her bow.

"Such a tactic is useless against human men." Miroku finished for her, thrusting his staff sharply into the ground. His robes were also hastily thrown on.

"So we attack," Sango offered, clutching the handle for hiraikotsu over her shoulder. Kagome nodded, showing she approved before knocking the arrow fully and raising it, aiming towards a bandit who was reaching for a village woman and letting her arrow fly.

"AHH!" The man cried as the arrow took him in the shoulder, disabling his arm as blood began pouring from the wound. The half demon noticed their presence and let out a roar in their direction, showing off fanged teeth and a forked tongue.

"Ewww." Kagome couldn't help but wrinkle her nose as saliva dripped from the demon's mouth.

"Hiraikotsu!" Sango flung the boomerang towards the half demon, the weapon missing it by inches as it leaped to the side, hissing at the slayer.

"Sacred Sutra!" Miroku flung an ofuda at the demon, catching it on the snout and making it howl with rage. It swiped at it's own nose with the sharp claws adorning it's hand, successfully dislodging the ofuda but also leaving burn and claw marks.

"And go!" Kagome let her arrow fly, her spiritual energy shimmering with it as the arrow missed barely, skimming the demon's scaly arm and leaving a gaping cut. The demon caught her with it's yellow silted eyes and hissed, similar to a snake hissing at a predator. It sent a shiver down Kagome's spine.

"Watch out!" The demon lunged towards Kagome and she shrieked, but was tackled to the ground by Miroku before the demon could catch her.

"Ha!" Miroku successfully paired the demon's claws with his staff, but in doing so was unable to block the demon's other arm from slicing towards Kagome, catching her arm and leaving 3 bleeding gashes. Kagome cried out as the claws connected and fell back. Miroku swung his staff at the demon just as hiraikotsu went flying by, catching the demon and throwing it back several feet. Kagome and Miroku stumbled to their feet, the latter catching Kagome by the elbow and helping her lean against one of the huts at the edge of the village. Before they could react, another arrow caught the half demon's arm, burning it fiercely and causing the demon to howl with rage. Kaede stood at the door of her hut with Shippo on her shoulder, bow in hand. Around them, the village men had gathered whatever tools and weapons at their disposal and were fighting the bandits as best they could, trying to prevent them from reaching their women and children inside the village.

"Kagome! Are you ok?" Sango rushed to Kagome's side, dropping to her knees opposite of Miroku and examining the cuts as best she could.

"Oh Inuyasha is going to be so mad when he sees this."

"You're damn right about that!"

"Inuyasha!" The red clad half demon appeared as quickly as he had left out of the forest, wasting no time in rushing to his woman's side, shoving Miroku aside as he did so. He had a few minor injuries based on the tears in his haori in various places and the blood matting the spots. He must have come straight from battle with the spider demons.

"What the hell happened!?" He snarled, instantly catching sight of Kagome's wound.

"Half demon and bandits." Sango nodded away from the village, where the half demon was just finishing recovering from Kaede's attack.

"What the hell kind of useless slayers are you?!" He cracked his knuckles as Sango scowled at him and Miroku rolled his eyes.

"Ha ha ha. So the bitch belongs to you, half demon. I was beginning to wonder when I could smell a pathetic dog but no dog was in sight!"

"Keh! I got better things to worry about then a demon like you! But you hurt my mate, and that's unforgivable in my book!" In a flash Inuyasha was charging into battle, claws bared.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome cried as he attacked, barely noticing Sango putting pressure on her wounds to stop the bleeding while Miroku was fending them from a bandit. The villagers thankfully were beginning to have the upper hand, forcing the bandits back and out of the village.

"I plan on doing a lot more than scraping the surface, dog." the half demon taunted him as the two demons traded blows. "I wonder if her insides will be as pretty as her outside?" Inuyasha began to see red, his claws striking a blow onto the half breed reptile's shoulder before his vision went red completely, and all conscious thought stopped.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome murmured in confusion when he suddenly landed on the ground and just stood there, even as the reptile recovered from the blow and charged, claws raised to attack. At the last second, Inuyasha leaped aside, bringing his own claws down and dealing a heavy blow to his half demon rival's back, leaving it a mess of blood and torn flesh.

"I'm going to enjoy killing you!" He snarled, and to the surprise of those around him, his eyes were blood red, his claws longer and sharper than before. His face was covered in strange purple markings, and his fangs had elongated so much they could barely fit in his mouth.

"What is this?!" Was the reptile half breed's final screech before Inuyasha's claws connected and promptly tore him to pieces.

What's going on?! Kagome shuddered at the look of pure bloodlust and enjoyment on Inuyasha's face. He landed only a couple feet away, staring at his claws soak in demon blood. Around them, the entire battlefield had gone dead silent. Villagers and bandits stopped dead in the middle of battle to stare in shock at what they had just witnessed. One of the bandits dropped his weapon in the shock, and Inuyasha's head whipped in his direction, face twisting into a snarl as he growled deep and low at the man. The bandit shrieked and ran, feet slipping as he grabbed one of his comrades by the arm and began to shout "It's a vile demon, demon!" His panic spread quickly, and soon all of them were practically tripping over their feet to get away. Inuyasha lunged after them, but froze in his tracks when Kagome yelled.

"No! Inuyasha don't!" The half demon froze in confusion as her voice washed over him. His attention changed to her, and Kagome pushed herself to her feet, leaving her weapon behind and ignoring Sango and Miroku's attempts to keep her back.

"Inuyasha, don't hurt him, let them go, let them all go." She took several steps towards him and he growled at her, ears pinned back against his head.

"Kagome," It was Kaede's voice this time, so Kagome turned her attention over her shoulder at the aging priestess.

"Be careful child, remember what ye know of demons and dog behavior. Show him your throat. This will show ye surrender to him." Her voice was low and very calm.

"Won't he kill her?!" Sango had hiraikotsu gripped, ready to fling the weapon if necessary. Kaede shook her head, making sure to keep her voice calm as she said "Kagome is his mate, the one he is bonded to. He will recognize that."

"Inuyasha would never hurt me." Kagome confirmed as she pondered Kaede's words. What had Myoga said? He would be possessive of her, extremely protective. Was it possible he had changed to protect her? The young woman pondered Kaede's other suggestions- dog behavior. Dogs formed packs, and packs had a hierarchy and a set of rules they followed- did that make him the alpha male, and her the alpha female in his mind?

Slowing her approach, Kagome tipped her head back and gave him the full view of her throat. When she lowered her head back down, his stance had relaxed slightly and he was staring at her with almost a confused expression, his ears perked in her direction. Kagome quickly thought through other dog behavior she could remember seeing, approaching him slowly and tucking her head against his chest. He didn't snarl or growl aggressively, but rumbled almost a half growl, like a halfhearted warning.

Kagome gently tucked her head under his chin, nuzzling against his throat and chin like she had seen dogs do before. The low growl turned to a rumbling in his chest and Kagome knew she had made the right choice. He lowered his nose to her neck, inhaling her scent and Kagome knew he would smell himself on her, like he had told her before. He nuzzled her ear as his hands came up to grip her arms, causing her to hiss in pain as he grabbed her injured arm. He immediately let go of her arms and growled low in his throat.

"It's ok Inuyasha it's just a minor cut."

Instantly he stiffened and began to growl a warning again.

"Kagome…" She heard Sango's voice and knew her friend had heard her cry out and attempted to move closer to help her.

"Stay back, Sango. I… I think he changed to protect me. Myoga said he's very possessive, he won't hesitate to hurt you if you come closer." Kagome twisted in his arms to face her friends.

"Aye child, dog demons by nature are loyal and possessive." Kaede held an arrow knocked loosely in her bow, just in case. "Whatever has caused this change, clearly he has no desire to harm ye."

"Lady Kaede?" Several of the village men approached the priestess, taking the scene in with wide eyes and Kagome had to stifle a sigh, it could very easily look like Inuyasha had taken her hostage. Inuyasha stiffened again as the men appeared, wrapping an arm around Kagome's body and pulling her back against him while growling fiercely. He flexed the claws on his free hand and bared his teeth, putting on a very dangerous display to show how serious he was.

"Stay back." It was Miroku who spoke. "He won't hesitate to attack if we go near Kagome."

"But won't he harm her?!" One of the hunters who had initially found them in the forest protested, gripping the gardening hoe that was his weapon tightly.

"No, but we must leave them be." Miroku himself took a step back, pulling Sango with him.

"We don't want to spook him. If he feels Kagome is safe, maybe he will change back so we can tend to her injury."

"I'm ok, I think the bleeding is slowing down." Carefully Kagome slid the ruined sleeve of her sleeping robe up, exposing the three claw marks that stung furiously. They were still bleeding, but nowhere near as bad as before. Unfortunately, bringing attention to the fact she was injured only fueled the fire in her half demon, sending his protective instincts further into overdrive at the fact she was hurt. Before any of them could react, he had scooped his mate up and disappeared into the forest.

"Damn," was all Miroku said with a sigh.

At first, Kagome wasn't sure why he had brought her into the forest, but she assumed they were heading back to their home. That is, until he found a small cave and brought her inside, depositing her at the entrance and taking a closer look inside. Kagome shivered at the chill from the cave, but waited patiently until she saw his red eyes coming back to her. She pondered the meaning of hiding her- did he see her as vulnerable while injured, and had sought out a safe place to hide her? The rumbling in his chest had never really stopped, and she found it to be rather soothing as he crouched to her level, sniffing curiously in her direction. Kagome shivered again and suddenly found herself draped with a familiar red haori.

"Inuyasha?" She probed curiously. He looked in her direction and let out soothing growl at her. Clearly he could understand her in this state, but either he couldn't speak or just wouldn't. For a moment, Kagome pondered her next actions as she slid her arms into the sleeves and wrapped the warm fabric around her. It was clear he wouldn't harm her, but why not take them home, where they were undoubtedly safe? Why bring them into the forest at all?

To her surprise, Inuyasha left the cave and started towards the woods. Kagome jumped to her feet despite the bulky fabric and made to follow him, but he spun around and snarled at her upon smelling her behind him. Kagome startled in surprise and stopped in her tracks, hurt by his rejection as tears burned in her eyes. The snarling stopped the moment he smelled her tears and he approached, reaching a clawed hand towards her. Kagome jerked back slightly and his ears pinned back against his skull, letting out a small whine as he reached for her again. This time, Kagome let him, and to her surprise, he pulled her face closer and kissed her gently, like the real Inuyasha did, and then nuzzled against her temple. Kagome knew he was trying to tell her something, she just didn't understand what.

"I don't understand." she voiced out loud, brows furrowed in confusion. He nuzzled her temple again and gave her a small push towards the cave entrance. It finally clicked in Kagome's mind the moment he pushed her gently for a second time.

"You want me to stay?" He nuzzled her temple for a third time, and Kagome figured that meant yes. The only problem- she didn't want to be left alone. She mimicked his actions and let out as best a whine as she could. His ears flattened for a moment before he pushed her again, and Kagome gave up. Clearly he wasn't going to budge on taking her with him.

"Inuyasha." She pouted, whining again a little. This time he leaned over and nipped her shoulder with his fangs. It didn't hurt, but certainly surprised her enough that she scampered back into the cave. When she turned around, he was gone.

"Figures," She murmured to herself, crossing her arms and sliding down the wall of the cave. It began to drizzle slightly as she stared out into the forest, the clouds a murky gray and a stark contrast to the sunny morning it had been.

To her surprise, Inuyasha wasn't gone long. He dropped out of the trees barely half an hour after he had left- carrying the reason why in his hands. His eyes were still red, cheeks still adorned in the weird markings. Had it really been just to protect her that caused this change? Or was it something else? Was this the demon she was bound to now? He didn't even speak! Would he ever change back? She didn't know, but as he dropped the dead rabbit in front of her, he clearly expected her to do something, she just had no idea what. She kept the warm robe wrapped around her, watching Inuyasha as he stared at her in confusion. He crouched down, pushing the rabbit towards her.

"Oh, I see." Realization came over Kagome when she remembered the alpha male and female eat the first and best part of a meal.

"I can't eat this raw Inuyasha, it's too dangerous for me." She pushed the rabbit back a little and stood up, gently setting the robe on the floor behind her before stepping out of the cave towards the trees. The moment she left the cave Inuyasha snarled fiercely. In seconds he was in front of her, pushing her back into the cave.

"There's something I need in the forest, I won't go far, I just need wood for a fire, will you help me?" She gently reached and tugged at his hand, indicating she wanted him to come with her. He obeyed, though he looked rather confused as to why she was leaving behind their hiding spot. Kagome wasted no time in gathering the few pieces of mostly dry wood she could find, using Inuyasha to hold them for her. She found a piece of flint to make the fire, then led the bewildered half demon towards the cave. As soon as the cave was in sight he gently pushed her towards it and Kagome laughed, nodding and heading back in where it was dry. She took the wood from him and stacked it in a pyramid near the front of the cave, using the flint to catch a spark and slowly get the fire going. In less than a half an hour she had a gentle fire going.

"Don't look, Inuyasha." She said firmly as she turned her back to him. Carefully she slid out of the soaking wet sleeping robe she'd had on and slid the red robe on instead, checking her arm before tucking the robe around her. Thankfully the bleeding had stopped, but would need treating soon to ensure it healed properly. Inuyasha's robe was much too big, but he didn't seem to mind by the way his eyes trailed her as she laid her robe out and settled by the fire.

"Inuyasha, can you cut the rabbit up?" He seemed to understand her for the most part as he used his claws to dismember and skin the rabbit, ignorant of Kagome's wincing as she watched him do so. She gestured towards a piece of meat and he handed it to her, watching with interest as she used a thin stick to skewer the meat and hold it over the fire.

"As soon as the meat is cooked we can eat it." She told him, working on skewering a second bit for him. He of course said nothing, but watched curiously as she moved about preparing it for him.

"There we go." A couple minutes later Kagome handed him his skewer of meat. He watched intently as she took a bite of the meat, chewing and swallowing before giving him an encouraging smile and gesturing towards his own skewer. He took the hint and ate the entire skewer in about five bites while Kagome watched in amazement. She had barely even taken one! With a sigh, she set her own skewer aside and set about preparing another one for him. The rabbit wasn't very big, just enough for the two of them. Kagome handed him the finished skewer several minutes later, shaking her head as he devoured the second one as quickly as the first. She took her time, watching Inuyasha as he stood and made his way to the entrance of the cave. He stood there quietly while she ate, ears swiveling to the sounds of the forest and nose occasionally smelling the air. When she was done, her hands were covered in juices from the meat. She glanced around, but obviously there was nothing to really wash her hands with.

"Inuyasha." she called, he didn't move but one ear twitched in her direction to show he was listening.

"Can you take me to water please?" She held up her hands, "I need to wash them." He returned to staring out in the forest, clearly ignoring her request. So Kagome stood and marched out of the cave without him. He snarled the second she left the cave, but she ignored him and kept going. He leaped over her head and landed in front of her, teeth bared in anger. Kagome held her hands up to him, simply saying "water" again. He snarled again at her, then turned and stalked through the forest, one ear in her direction to make sure she was following. She definitely was.

He led her to a tiny creek, with just enough flow for her to wash her hands and take a quick drink while he stood guard, body completely on alert with one ear in her direction. Always he had one ear tuned to her. Discreetly, she checked her wounded arm again and found it was caked with dried blood, and definitely needed bandaging. It stung a lot when she moved the arm too much.

Well, since she was in the woods she might as well forage a little bit. While Inuyasha kept watch, Kagome rummaged around plants near the bank and managed to find a plant good for infection. She plucked only enough for her wound, then slid back over to Inuyasha and childishly tugged on the sleeve of his white kosodo.

"Inuyasha?" He turned his head and his attention to her, making the rumbling noise in his chest again.

"Back to the cave now?" Kagome suggested, jerking her head towards the way they had come. His reaction was much more positive then their exit from the cave as he herded her back towards the safety of their little nest. When they reached the entrance, a shuffling noise in the cave had Kagome freezing in alarm and Inuyasha growling low in his throat. A pair of tiny red eyes regarded them from the cave for a moment before scampering out and into the woods, turning out to be a tiny rat demon that knew it had no chance against Inuyasha. After Inuyasha had checked the cave again, Kagome was allowed in. She studied his new features as she prepared the herb to put on her wound, his serious demeanor and strange markings adding a regalness to his features and mannerisms that he usually brushed off as a half demon.

Still, Kagome missed his old demon form more than ever.

She saw his nose twitch as she mashed the herb together. His head whipped in her direction as she slid the sleeve up to her shoulder and began smearing the smashed herbs on the open wound.

"It's ok Inuyasha, it's just to help heal the wound." He huffed through his nose and turned away, clearly unhappy with the stench of the herbs she was smearing over her skin. Kagome dropped the sleeve back over her arm, thankful the fabric was soft enough not to aggravate the open wound.

They sat in silence for a while, watching the clouds come and go with the rain.

"Lady Kagome!" The call of her name startled Kagome, she scanned the forest but saw no one, until she saw the tiny form of Myoga hopping up and down a good distance from the cave.

"Myoga!" She called back, waving at the tiny flea. Inuyasha let out a dreadful snarl when he caught sight of Myoga, crouching in front of Kagome at the entrance and baring his teeth.

"Oh my." Myoga took in the sight of his master and seemed very unwilling to come closer to the cave.

"We're ok Myoga, I have a small wound that will need to be patched eventually, but Inuyasha has taken very good care of me." Kagome gently set a hand on Inuyasha's shoulder, but it did nothing to calm him, only one ear flicked in her direction. "He's been very protective and unwilling to let me out of his sight." she explained.

"As to be expected of his full demon form, Lady Kagome. How did the change occur?"

"Full demon form?"

"Yes, master Inuyasha's father was a mighty demon indeed, and as such his demon blood is much stronger than just any demon. So strong, in the event where his life is threatened, master Inuyasha's demon blood takes over and he transforms into a full demon. That's why his father, the Dog General Toga, crafted the mighty sword Tetsusaiga. The sword keeps master Inuyasha's blood intact and prevents the transformation."

"Oh wow." Kagome was stunned, processing all the information Myoga had given her. "But Myoga… Inuyasha's life wasn't in danger when he changed. We were attacked by a half demon and some bandits at the village, that's all. The other demon said some things to Inuyasha and he just… transformed."

"Hmm, curious." The flea mused, moving back another foot as his master's unrelenting glare made him nervous.

"Milady… did you say you had an injury?" Kagome nodded, stepping around Inuyasha slightly to see better. He growled a warning, but did not move from his position.

"The other demon clawed my arm a little. It's not serious but it does need to be treated eventually."

"That explains it then." Myoga settled himself on a flat rock and began the preparations for tea. He had a feeling this was not going to be easy. His master was also very scary looking as a full demon. Yes, best stay far away and plan an escape...

"Explains what?" Kagome took a step forward, something her transformed demonic husband was really not happy about. Like before, he nipped her in the shoulder and surprised her, causing Kagome to yelp and rub the offended shoulder.

"That hurts Inuyasha!" From his comfy spot, Myoga chuckled. "He's punishing you milady, for disobeying his order not to move. He doesn't know that you don't understand his body language." He set the water over his tiny fire, removing his tea leaves from his pack.

"Body language?"

"Yes, I'm sure you've seen many dogs communicate through body language and vocal means. As a full demon master Inuyasha is communicating purely the way he would to any other demon, not a human. I'm also certain this transformation was for your sake, Lady Kagome." The tiny flea added the leaves to the warm water, letting them settle.

"Me?" Kagome looked surprised.

"Indeed, based on the fact his life was not in danger at the time, but perhaps he perceived your life to be in danger, milady." He removed the leaves from his tea and blew on the cup, savoring the warmth.

"I believe it very unlikely he will change back to a half demon until he feels you are safe. If he transformed to protect you, then he will not be able to change back until he believes he has fulfilled that role." He took a sip of his tea- ahh, perfect.

"This… was all for me?"

"I believe so." Kagome slid down to her knees, overwhelmed. Inuyasha had been steadily growling since Myoga had arrived, his body tense. He had relaxed only a little when Myoga had retreated to make tea. But when Kagome moved, he moved as well.

"Oh Inuyasha." Kagome whispered when he crouched next to her, his red eyes watching her anxiously. "What have I done to you?" She brought her hand up and cupped his face, gently running her thumb over his cheek.

"K-K'gome." Her name was garbled and partially a growl, but Kagome's eyes widened when she realized he had said her name, actually said it.

"You spoke! I can't believe you said my name! Myoga look-" But the flea was gone, almost as if he had never been there. A pair of familiar arms carefully slid around her back and under her knees, lifting her up and against a warm body. Kagome squeaked at the unexpected action, clutching the white fabric covering Inuyasha's upper body. He carried her without a word to the back of the cave, settling on the floor with his back to the cave wall and shuffled her so she once again was nested in his lap. He began rumbling again in his chest, bending his head down to nuzzle his nose against her neck. He inhaled deeply and Kagome felt him relax, actually relax for the first time that day. Carefully, she brought her hand up and gently rubbed his ear between her fingers.

"I'm sorry for putting you through this Inuyasha." She whispered to him as she gently caressed his ear. "I promise, no one will ever take advantage of you again, myself included." The rumbling in his chest continued, but it was more relaxed, almost like… a snore? Kagome felt his gentle breathing even across her neck and realized he had fallen fast asleep.

It took her a lot longer to fall asleep, as the sun finished setting and the stars began to emerge one by one, Kagome felt her eyelids shut and drifted off to sleep.

I thoroughly enjoy writing Inuyasha as a full demon. Enjoy and please review!
