I don't own Naruto or any of the characters. Kishimoto-san does. If he gave me the Naruto franchise, THEN I'D OWN NARUTO!

To say his best friend was mortified would be an understatement. Sasuke was teeming with fury. Naruto understood his anger, he mimicked it perfectly, cursing Mitsuko's name as they all made their way to the principal's office. He didn't understand why she became so worked up over a stupid plant. She was a plant freak, that was for sure.
"You first, Uzumaki! I know you're behind this." Anko snaps, dragging him by his arm.
"I didn't do anything! Let me go!" Naruto tugs and pulls but one look from his crazy teacher aide made him quiet. She opens the door to the principal's office, greeting him properly and depositing Naruto into a seat.
"Arigatō, Anko-san." The principal nods and turns his attention to Naruto. "What have you gotten into this time, Naruto."
Naruto crosses his arms with a soft 'hmph' for the added effect of disobedience. He was in and out of Kakashi-senpai's office pretty often. The man was awfully tall, scary looking if you counted the scar running over his left eye and the mask covering his nose and down. Naruto heard it was because he got into a fight as a child and was badly disfigured. Others said he got cut by a student years ago for expelling them. Either way, Naruto did not feel like being disciplined currently. "Well?" Kakashi quirked an eyebrow. He looked towards Anko for an answer.
"I caught the tail end of Oshiro Mitsuko and Uchiha Sasuke fighting. Naruto and a few others from class seven were there as well." Kakashi hums lowly, asking for Anko to give him a minute alone with Naruto.
He sighs, clearly tired of the charade Naruto was putting forth. "Listen here Uzumaki. If you don't start explaining just what happened, you will force me to make a phone call home to your mother."
Now that caught his attention.
"It wasn't me!" He blabbed. "That fr-that girl Mitsuko started attacking Sasuke out of nowhere!" Naruto then goes on with an elaborate story that sounded much more convincing in his head. Kakashi held his hand up, silencing the boy's story.
"Well, that doesn't seem very good. And are you sure you didn't antagonise Oshiro-san first?" Kakashi was giving him one last chance to not lie. But of course, Naruto wouldn't admit that.
"Duh! She's crazy, ya know."
"Hm." Kakashi digs in his desk and reaches for a pen. After scribbling his name, he hands Naruto a detention slip good for three days. "Tell Sasuke to come next. And Naruto,"
"What." Naruto froze in place. Kakashi's face grew serious. He gulps, hoping he didn't pile on more punishment.
"I don't want to hear anything more with Mitsuko. Understand?" His judicious words echoing in his head.
"Y-yes Senpai.." Naruto closed the door with a huff. He stuffed the detention slip into his pocket and tapped Sasuke's shoulder. He was holding an ice pack to his bruised eye.
"Yikes." He grimaced.
"Shut up.." Sasuke grumbles. "What'd he say?"
"To not mess with her yadda yadda you'll see." Sasuke grunts and leapt from his chair. He knocks on Kakashi's door, entering only when once permitted. Naruto took his seat, huffing to himself about the three more detentions he had to serve. He planned on getting that freak back, he just knew he would.

The weekend goes by without so much of a hitch. Naruto played outside majority of his time off, enjoying the fun and laughter with his fellow companions. It wasn't until Monday morning did things turn sour. Sasuke didn't say as much as a 'hello' before he grabbed the blonde by his collar and dragged him into a corner, his teeth clenched in rage.
"Woah what the hell is your problem?" Naruto asks whilst fixing his orange and blue school-button up.
Sasuke began to pace, gritting out, "That stupid freak is my problem! She snitched on me that stupid..!" He lets out an aggravated huff.
Naruto scratched the back of his head with a shrug. He didn't see the big deal, especially if all he got was a detention. "Well what's the big deal. It's just detention, ya know."
"No you nitwit, I got a damn phone call home!"
"O-oh.."
"And you know what else," Sasuke raves on. "I got in trouble at home for 'rough housing' at school! Argh! That freak deserves everything that comes for her. So what's the plan, Naruto." His body turns, signaling for Naruto to explain his plan of debauchery.
"Erm..I haven't thought of one yet." Naruto smiles, cheekily so. "But don't worry. We'll get that freak Mitsuko back. The first step is getting Kiba back on our side."
A cheshire smile graced Sasuke's cheeks. He laughs lowly, gesturing for Naruto to come closer. "I've got just the thing for that. Watch." He whispered lowly just as the first bell rung.
School was now in session.
uh oh. things are getting heated once again. what could sasuke possibly be thinking of now? and for those concerned, this story does get positive and fluffy. the storytelling is at work but don't worry, i didn't name this book after a ship name for nothing.
thanks for reading! R&R!
background facts;
i always planned on kakashi being the principal because i felt like it fit so well for him. obviously in the original works, he is essentially raising young ninjas and teaching them important values of being a good ninja. figured principal of an entire school full of children was right up his alley. anko being a teacher aide was for shits and giggles.
much love,,
