I don't own Naruto or any of the characters. Kishimoto-san does. If he gave me the Naruto franchise, THEN I'D OWN NARUTO!

The Alphabet with NaruHina!

K is for Knavish

It was the first day of winter. The cold nipped at noses and caused few to drip mucus. Hinata shivers, wrapping her scarf tighter around her neck. School was going to be let out soon and she couldn't wait to sleep in.

Hinata was first to notice Kiba's odd behavior. It was only a few weeks ago that Mitsuko attacked Sasuke and the energy in the classroom had been off ever since. Mitsuko swore that everything was okay and that there was nothing to worry about. Hinata decided to write it off. She figured she was being skittish as usual. Naruto and his lackies hadn't messed with either her, or Mitsuko, for that matter. But Kiba's behavior become more peculiar every passing day.

He was quiet around them, especially Mitsuko. Sometimes he'd speak to Hinata, or ask for one of her delicious cookies, but the moment Mitsuko came around he got as quiet as a mouse. It grew even worse when he began ditching them for his male companions.

Mitsuko slammed her sandwhich down with a scoff, her eyes watching Kiba as he ate lunch with his male friends. "What about us 'Hina-chan? We're his friends too!"

Hinata flushed at the nickname but slyly eyed the fang-marked boy as well. "Maybe he got tired of being around us. Papa says that about Neji-niisan." It was true. Neji was Hinata's older cousin and sometimes even he stopped hanging out with her from time to time. Apparently it was a boy thing.

"Yeah but.." Mitsuko sighs and shakes it off. "Whatever. He better not come begging for the cookies I made today!" Mitsuko offers one to Hinata who gracefully accepted. Her older sister loved to bake and sometimes made Mitsuko sweets to share with her friends.

It was after school now. Hinata and Mitsuko were packing their things, talking about a sleepover scheduled for the upcoming weekend. The classroom was slowly emptying along with Iruka-sensei who had to use the bathroom as he did every time after school. This was the perfect chance for trouble and Hinata had a bad feeling. Mitsuko continued mindlessly packing, not realizing the crowd of boys surround her desk.

"We can plant flowers and dress up and do our hair-" Her lunch box falls to the ground in a clatter. "HEY!" She shouts, shoving the Uchiha boy whose name she didn't even know.

Hinata prepared to step in when Naruto shoved her into a seat. "Stay put or you'll be next, Dead Eyes!"

Hinata's gaze lands on Mistuko who was being held by at least three of their fellow classmates. "We heard you had cookies. And you didn't even share!" Sasuke mockingly remarks, dumping her leftover lunch all over the floor.

"Because they aren't for you. Why don't you tell your goons to let me go and we settle this like real men?" Mistuko spat, struggling even more in the boys' grasp.

Sasuke opens her ham sandwich. With a smile, he takes a bite and slams the rest on top of Mitsuko's head. "T-that's enough..!" Hinata caught herself saying.

"Oh? Something to add?" Naruto smiles evilly, uncapping a bottle of paste.

"That's enough guys." A voice suddenly commands. Pushing through the crowd is none other than Kiba. Mitsuko smirks, thinking he was helping them out. Kiba picks up her bag of cookies, distributing them to the gang of boys.

"K-Kiba..!" Mitsuko gasps. "You..you traitor!"

"I thought we were your friends.." Hinata whispers, lowly to herself.

"Why would I ever be either of your friends." Kiba vehemently spat. "You're both a bunch of freaks,

"It was killing me to be in your presence." He knavishly adds.

Mitsuko's shoulders shook. She looks up through her wild bangs, eyes brimming with tears. "So it was all a lie?! You pretended to be our friend and for what! You would never..I know you " She cries.

"I know you Kiba-kun. You aren't like this. Why are you being like this!" Mitsuko thrashed in the arms of the boys. Tears threaten to spill from her eyes but her anger held them back.

Kiba snatched the open bottle of paste from Naruto's hand. Hinata's eyes grow wide, watching as he poured the sticky glue right on her head. He shakes the bottle, throwing it right at her face for good measure, as though the betrayal hadn't hurt already. "Shut up!" He hissed.

"You're always whining and crying about something you stupid crybaby!"

"It's no wonder your sister is a yakuza whore. Who the hell would want to be in your presence when all you know how to do is cry." His words make Mitsuko's body suddenly go slack.

"Just disappear already, we'd all be better off anyway." Kiba then turns and stands amongst the group of boys.

"Let's go fellas. Before Sensei comes back and I get another phone call home." Sasuke commands, leaving the room entirely. The boys let Mitsuko drop unceremoniously to the floor. Hinata waits until they all leave before running to her friend's aid. She shakes her, receiving no response.

"'Suko-chan?" Hinata calls. "Mitsuko..please answer me."

Mitsuko slowly turns her head upwards. A tear runs down her cheek, followed after by another one. Her hands shield her eyes. She sniffles, her shoulders trembling as a wail strained her vocal cords. Hinata felt her own tears building up as well. She was so scared for her friend, for herself. She felt so weak, so helpless.

It filled her with shame.

:(

damn, thats pretty rough. for those wondering how 6/7 year olds know what a "whore" is, keep in mind how chapter j ended. kids can be brutal. however, there is significance to this chapter. thank you guys so much for reading, i am still working on chapter w so another week update will come soon.

please R&R!

background facts;

this chapter felt more mitsuko oriented but there is significance for hinata too. this chapter is a big turning point within the story for essentially most of the characters. as one domino falls, the others follow. sasuke's leverage that he briefly mentioned last chapter worked, but a little too well.

much love,,
