"What's your business with our Lady?"

Vaughn hears the assailant's great sword get dragged on the ground, the sound tempting him to engage in battle. He takes quick shallow breaths to calm his nerves, One…Two…Three…Four…Five…

He failed to notice another set of eyes on him, staring at him, "Intriguing."

"My Lady." He found his voice as he looked at her. Could there have been a more tantalizing color than the blue of her eyes? He Pauses. His train of thought leading to an idea. Yes, he can still salvage this.

"Kind Sir," He turns to the Wolf, the tall visage greeting him fully. A knight, Carian, based on its armor. Vaughn takes a step to the side, showing that the lady is unharmed

then cowers, bowing his head.

The Wolf Man stops in its tracks. Shocked by the sudden display. The Lady's eyes do not leave his form.

He keeps his head low lest he finds himself distracted, "Forgive this lowly one, I'm but a forester making a living with what little I can find in the woods."

Vaughn gulps, he has not conversed this long for some time, "Forgive me, My Lady. For I have not seen someone more beautiful than the full moon."

Marika's tits!, he thinks, What the heck am I saying?

He hears an exasperated huff ad somewhat a retching sound coming from the Wolf, "Alright, I get it now."

"Truly? Thou find my appearance beautiful?" There's a hint of playfulness in her tone despite the flustered tint of her cheeks.

"Yes, of course!" he replies instantaneously. Stumbling in the process.

"Alright, mate!" The knight holds the lady's arm, and leads her away from him, "I can now see that you mean no harm but I can't watch anymore of.." He motions the space between Vaughn and her, "This!"

"I apologize!" he shrinks into himself again. Hoping that this craven behavior will be in his favor.

"Blaidd," she beckons the knight, "Let us leave him be. And I tire of my recent escapade around the manor."

"As you wish, Mistress Ranni."

"I apologize to thee for the trouble." The Lady or Mistress Ranni holds out her hand for him to take, "I didn't get thou's n-"

Sensing an invisible spark, Blaidd moves to cover her from Vaughn's view, "Let us go now. Your mother must be worried sick."

Hearing that, Ranni pulls her hand away, "Another time then. Farewell." She lets herself be led to the direction of the Carian Manor. Their steps becoming fainter.

Vaughn stares at their retreating backs. He doubts that he'll ever see her again with the way the Half Wolf glares at him.

Ranni sets her tome down. Finding no such information she does not already know from it. There was an unrest within her that she could not quell. She kept replaying what had happened in the woods, fascinating her.

The woodsman's eyes glowed gold.
