Everything was black...until slowly but surely, a world was created around them. The wisps inside the bowl danced around their vision as it created an entire world around them. Then with a few blinks the world stabilized, everyone began looking around.

"Where are we?" inquired Hermione as she looked around trying to figure that out.

"Hermione I don't believe you would know where we are," Ron said as the color drained from his face. Hermione looked over at Ron quizzically and then noticing the color draining from his face, waited for him to continue. Madam Pomfrey looked at the two wondering where they were.

"The dark eerie passage….. The water on the floor….. And the smell of death...we are inside the chamber of secrets." Ron said thoroughly, losing all color to his face.

"This is the Chamber of Secrets?" Hermoine said while looking around her, taking in every small detail. "We need to find Ginny now and help her!" said Hermione looking worried but with determination in her eyes.

"Not so fast you two, this isn't like any normal memory that you might see in a pensive." Explained Madam Pomfrey. "This is an active nightmare that Ginny is having, that means that we are inside of Ginny's active nightmare."

Ron and Hermione looked at her confused, so Madam Pomfrey took both of them away from the open hallway in front of them that led to the center of the chamber and explained.

"Again, this is an active nightmare Ginny is having, that means we are in her nightmare. So if Ginny sees us in here…" Madam Pomfrey stopped and looked at Hermione to finish her statement.

A look of realization washed over Hermione "Then she will also see us here in a nightmare." Hermione finished.

Ron looked at the two confused "So? What's the problem with that? We can go to her and help her." Said Ron very much confused

It was then Madam Pomfrey who spoke next, placing one hand on Ron's shoulder as she continued. "If Ginny sees us in her nightmare then everything in her nightmare will also see us and we will be in danger," she stated

Ron who still looked puzzled said, "well ya but it's not like anything can hurt us...right?" He said with worry beginning to show in his eyes.

"Wrong Mr. Weasley, you see inside a dream or nightmare usually you are looking at a past event, meaning nothing you do can influence it, therefore not needing to hide. But because we are in an active nightmare, if Ms. Weasley sees us and everything else in the nightmare too and actively tries to attack us. With that being said, because all five our your senses are in use here, your brain will not be able to tell the difference between here...and the real world." Madam Pomfrey said

Ron, still looking slightly confused, looked over at Hermione for a clearer answer. Rolling her eyes Hermione spelled it out for Ron.

"Ron that means that if we get hurt in here...our real bodies will get hurt too, and if we were to die in here…" Hermione let the sentence float in the air and be absorbed by Ron.

Ron gulped…" Alright ya, I got it now...don't be seen no matter what."

The three began to slowly creep down the hall to the main chamber, their footsteps echoing off the walls. Dimly lit torches were lit down each side of the chamber, causing shadows that danced across the walls of the three trespassers. As they began to make their way to the end of the chamber they could begin to hear voices echoing throughout the chamber, reverberating across the stone floors and walls and becoming disoriented as it traveled. As they inched their way forward, hugging against the stone walls as to not be seen, they saw the main chamber. A giant room stood in front of them with a giant statue of Salazar Slytherin in the middle. As their eyes adjusted to the room they began to make out forms in the chamber, there were five beings inside the chamber, four looking humans and one….not so much. They looked up in horror as they saw a nearly 50-foot long basilisk attacking one of the people in the chamber. Hermione was the first one to realize what was going on.

Hermione pointed towards the person running, diving, and weaving his way around the basilisk "THAT'S HARRY!"

The three watched in horror as Harry did battle with the basilisk until the basilisk finally outsmarted Harry, and drove its teeth into his body. Hermione let out a gasp and turned to Ron, burying her face into his shoulder and wrapping her arms around him. Before anyone could say anything though a voice echoed throughout the chamber.

YOU DID THIS TO ME! IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN DOWN HERE! I SHOULD HAVE LET YOU ROT IN THIS CHAMBER FOREVER! The voice screamed out across the chamber. Then Ron noticed one of the figures collapse to the ground, as it began to talk

"Please..no more...please I can't take this anymore." the figure said as it curled up into a ball on the ground. "I never wanted you to get hurt, I'm so sorry...it's all my fault." cried the figure on the ground.

"That has to be Ms. Weasley...Not Ms. Weasley who Mr. Potter was trying to save, This has to be the one stuck inside of this awful nightmare." Madam Pomfrey said, shaking the other two out of their stupor.

"Ginny…." Ron said looking over at his sister who was crying on the ground. He began to walk towards her but was caught by Hermione.

"Hermione why are you stopping me!? I need to go comfort her! She needs me!" Ron yelled.

Hermione looked at him with a tear in her eye "No Ron remember, we can't be seen." Ron clenched his fists but stopped resisting Hermione's attempts to bring him back towards them. They waited for what seemed forever for the nightmare to end, but mercifully the nightmare finally came to an end and they were pulled back into the real world. At the same time, Ginny woke up, soaked in sweat once again and breathing heavily. Hermione ran over to Ginny and wrapped her arms around her.

"Ginny I'm here for you… I'm here for you Ginny." Hermione said over and over again while hugging Ginny.

"Hermione what are you doing? What do you mean you are here for me, I just had a bad dream, I'm fine," replied Ginny through deep breaths very much confused as to why Hermione was acting like this.

"We saw your nightmare Gin… why are you blaming yourself for what happened in the chamber?" Ron said, staring at his sister who was still trying to get her breathing under control.

Ginny's eyes went wide open with shock "What do you mean you "saw" my nightmare."

Ron looked down at his shoes "Well you see when you were having your nightmare, we took the live memory of it and placed it inside this here pensive." Ron said pointed over at the pensive. "So we entered your nightmare and saw everything." Ron then looked over at Madam Pomfrey "That's what happened...right?" Ron asked.

Ginny's eyes then flashed with anger "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT! I TOLD YOU...I TOLD ALL OF YOU THAT I WASN'T READY TO SHARE THAT YET!" Ginny yelled at them, causing everyone to take a step back.

"Ginny...we...we only want to help you, we were just trying to." Hermione began.

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT HERMIONE! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU...ALL OF YOU!" Ginny yelled, tears forming in her eyes.

"Gin… I wasn't there for you then...but I am now...so." Ron began but was once again cut off.

"THAT'S RIGHT RON YOU WERENT THERE FOR ME! ONLY ONE PERSON WAS THERE FOR ME AND NOW LOOK AT HIM!" Ginny yelled pointing over at Harry.

"THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE OF ME….HE IS HERE BECAUSE, OF ME, THE ONE PERSON WHO WAS THERE FOR ME IS NOW UNCONSCIOUS!" Ginny said with fire in her eyes.

"Ginny...Harry wouldn't blame you for this...for any of this." Hermione said, trying to calm Ginny down.

"SHUT UP HERMIONE! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE….please just….leave me alone." Ginny broke down crying, throwing her face into her pillow. Ron went to try and comfort her but was stopped by Madam Pomfrey who simply shook her head. All three slowly returned to Madam Pomfrey's office to give Ginny space.

Ginny lay here crying…I can't believe them… Ginny thought to herself as she looked over at Harry. "I'm sorry Harry...I'm sorry for everything ." Ginny said barely above a whisper as she closed her eyes, unwilling to fall asleep, but unwilling to face the world. Ginny wasn't sure how much time had passed since her fight with Hermione and Ron, but sometime later they both walked back into the room.

"Ginny...are you awake? Ginny?" asked Hermione with a gentle tone.

Ginny refused to respond, she didn't want to talk to either of them right now, they had betrayed her trust.

"C'mon Hermione, she looks like she is sleeping...and not having a nightmare, this is a perfect time to go over what we were talking about earlier."

This piqued Ginny's interest. I knew they were hiding something from me, and I don't feel the least bit guilty about listening in...turnabout's fair play. Thought Ginny to herself as a smile crept across her lips.

Ron and Hermione called over Madam Pomfrey as the three began to talk by Harry's bedside. "Were you two able to speak to Professor Dumbledore about staying here for the summer?" inquired Madame Pomfrey

"Yes we have, and he has given us permission to stay in Gryffindor tower during the summer and unrestricted access to the library at any time," Hermione said beaming.

"Are you sure we shouldn't mention your plan to Ms. Weasley? I know that she is still recovering but she would surely be able to help you two," said Madam Pomfrey in a whisper as to not wake Ginny.

"No Madam Pomfrey, Ginny needs to rest, also…" Ron looked over at Ginny again to make sure she wasn't moving around. "Also Ginny has had a crush on "Harry Potter The Boy Who Lived" since way before she even entered Hogwarts. But when she finally met him she couldn't even hold a conversation with him without blushing and doing something clumsy...I think...I think having Ginny around would do more harm than good." Said Ron in a matter-of-fact tone.

Ginny couldn't believe what she had just heard. She knew Ron knew about her crush on the boy who lived, but she thought that he would keep that a secret...as her brother she assumed he would keep that a secret. I won't forget this Ronald….mark my words. Ginny said to herself as silent tears rolled down her cheeks. Why would Ron think I would be a nuisance? I can help Harry just as much as they can. Ginny again thought to herself. Wait! That's what they were hiding from me! They are staying here to help Harry while I am going to be sent back home! Frustration overcoming Ginny it took all she had to not move her body and be discovered. As tears continued to stream down her face she thought. I will help Harry, and I will do it on my own. She listened in on them for what felt like hours to her, she was beginning to nod off to sleep until something Hermione said made her feel wide awake again.

"Madam Pomfrey looks quick!" Hermione exclaimed while pointing over at Harry. Harry began to move slightly, then his face contorted in agonizing pain everyone heard a loud CRACK. Hermione's face paled.

"Madam Pomfrey….what just happened to Harry?" Hermione asked as shock and fear lingered over her expressions. Madam Pomfrey cast a few diagnosis spells over Harry and her face grew pale.

"I am not sure how this happened...I can only theorize at the moment...but..take a look." She said as she carefully peeled back Harry's blanket and gently pulled his shirt up. All three faces were now completely devoid of color. As she lifted Harry's shirt they saw a giant bruise covering Harry's ribs on his left side.

"Are they…." Hermione never finished her sentence for she lost her voice halfway through

"Yes Ms. Granger, his ribs are broken." Madam Pomfrey said, "But I simply don't know how."

Ginny's eyes that had just dried up from her previous fit of tears began to water up again and leak down her cheek. She choked back a whimper, Oh Harry… She thought to herself as she wrapped herself into a ball on her bed, letting the silent tears run down her face.
