"Hello Mum"
Two simple words, and yet to Lily Potter they were something she had longed to hear for 7 long years, she was almost tempted to slap herself, if only to check this was real and not some cruel dream trying to trick her. But no, here he was, her son, standing a few feet in front of her. Her eyes quickly and with desperation searched all over her beloved son, he was taller than she thought he would grow to be, standing easily at over 6 feet tall, clearly dwarfing her petite 5'3 frame. The next thing she noticed were his eyes, the same emerald green she longed to see again, Jet Black, windswept hair that was slightly more tamed than his father's, hung loosely over his face but cut very short on the sides. As her eyes traveled over her son, she began to notice that he was adorned with tattoos, on his left arm she noticed a runic script running down the underside of his arm the symbol þola, to mean endure, just below that was the Vegvisir an Icelandic magical stave that was said to help the bearer find their way on stormy nights and as a symbol of protection. On the underside of his right arm, just above the wrist was the Ægishjálmr, more commonly known as the helm of awe a symbol for magic and immortality. She was grateful she took and continued to study Ancient Runes.
All of this took place in mere seconds, and as Lily stepped forwards with the intent to embrace her son and never let him go, he turned away from her to survey the damage done to his home, as he turned, he missed the look of anguish that came upon Lily's face as James came behind her to wrap an arm around her shoulder to attempt to bring her comfort.
As Hadrian surveyed his home, he could not help but let out an annoyed sigh and shake his head, with his back still to the order and in a surprisingly soft voice he called out, "Hestia" suddenly a small pop was heard, as a house-elf appeared, however, this elf was not dressed in rags as many were accustomed to seeing, but rather a small beautiful dress. Quickly surveying the area, the house-elf let out a tired sigh "Is master Mikaelson finished with the bad wizards and the nasty wolves" no one could miss the look of annoyance on her face as she surveyed the damage to the house. The Original looked down upon the elf and in a voice so soft that it shocked some of the order members, as this being only moments ago killed four wizards in front of them in such a brutal fashion "Yes, thank you, Hestia, could you please place then in the back garden, and prepare them for their last rights" "Of course master" and as quickly as she appeared she was gone, along with what was left of the bodies in the living room.
As Hadrian turned back to the order, he realized he had yet to introduce himself, "Apologies where are my manners, allow me to introduce myself, Hadrian Mikaelson at your service" he finished this with a small bow and turned back to repair the damaged room.
As soon as he said his name the order froze, and a whimper of fear was heard from the Weasley Matriarch. In front of them was Hadrian Mikaelson, one of the Original Hybrids, the vampire with magic. A being of such immense power, a vampire who was said to be the only being in all of creation who was stronger and could temper the infamous Niklaus. The Vampire who In one night saved an entire cover of Veela from an unspeakable fate of slavery and death, who is said to have given no mercy to those who would have taken the coven, who decimated the men to such a degree that even now, after 300 years the story of the pain and horror those men would have endured was still spoken of in quiet whispers around the world. It was now that the Order came to understand the position they were in, they had just walked into the house of one of the most powerful beings in all of creation, who could just as easily kill them all before they could even blink. It was at this realization that almost by instinct the Order attempted to shield the children who were now beginning to regret even coming, while those with more experience, the Auror's, and those with combat experience readied themselves for a fight they knew they could not win.
Before anyone could do anything Lily Potter stepped forward, hands still shaking, ignoring the attempts from her husband to bring her back to the safety of the group, she reached out to Hadrian, just as she was beginning to realize this may not have been a good idea, Hadrian turned to look at her, and with a small smile and a slight glow to his eyes, he met her halfway and brought her into his chest and hugged her. Lily could not believe this, she was finally holding onto her son again, she pressed her body into his as hard as she could, almost afraid that if any space invaded between them, he would disappear again, but all too soon for her liking he was breaking off from her.
Lily, not to be held back, not now she was finally able to hold her son, reached up and placed both hands against his face, with steely determination she asked the question that was on the mind of all those present "Hadrian, how did this happen to you". Her beautiful son simply looked down on her and with a smile he leaned in and said "Oh Mother. That is a very long story"
