A/N 1: Hey guys! Long time, how y'all been? Sorry for the extremely long wait but I'm back baby! And I bring you the next chapter! I hope it was worth the wait :D. Enjoy!

Chapter 13

The Prince warred with his Oozaru, fighting his natural instincts. His eyes flickered a blood red before becoming dark again. He felt his canines elongate, pressuring him to give in, throw caution to the wind and claim Bulma Briefs as his mate.

'Mate. My mate. Mine.'

Riding on the high of his release, his defenses against his instincts proved futile. Vegeta moved closer to her unmarked throat, scraping his teeth against her skin, eliciting a moan from the woman on top of him.

The Prince wrapped his arms around her, bringing her closer to him. He turned her head slightly, exposing her neck to him even more.

"Mine." He growled under his breath and moved forward, planting hot open mouthed kisses, dragging out more wonderful sounds from her. Vegeta chuckled wickedly and placed his mouth on her, sucking on the skin slightly.

"Mmm Vegeta." She whispered softly, her voice a siren's song to his ears, calling out to him.

Spurred on by his siren's sweet voice, Vegeta slowly licked the spot between her neck and shoulder before moving in for the kill. He was to mark Bulma Briefs as his own.

'Just as it should be.'

Beep. Beep. Beep.

A frown appeared on his face. The Prince shook his head slightly at the consistent beeping, slowly coming out of his lust induced haze. Where in the world was it coming from?

Beep. Beep. Beep.

He blinked rapidly, coming out of his stupor. His head shot up, taking in his surroundings. He spotted the radar on the bedside table, the screen showing a yellow dot slowly coming towards them. What the hell? Wasn't that thing broken beyond repair?

"Vegeta? What's wrong?"

He looked down and saw the woman laying underneath him, her cheeks flushed and her hair in a complete mess. His eyes shifted to her neck and he took in the dark red bruise slowly forming on her pale skin. Everything came back to him in a rush.

He'd come back from his fight with Zarbon with the intent to kill her. Instead he'd ended up tearing her nightgown off her body and ravishing her. And if that wasn't enough, he'd very nearly bitten her and claimed her as his mate. If it wasn't for that device making a noise, he might've actually gone through with it. Dammit all!

"Ve...geta?" Bulma spoke again, her eyes betraying her concern at his continued silence. Such innocent, expressive eyes, showing nothing but genuine emotions, none of which were fear or disgust towards him.

He hated them. Hated their purity and their lack of distrust that used to fill them not so long ago.

Vegeta scowled nastily down at her before quickly leaping off of her and on his feet. He reached for his clothes and got dressed, shoving his legs into his pants. He turned his head and looked at her, loathing filled in his eyes. "Get up and get dressed."

Bulma sat up, covering her chest with the sheet. "Why? What's going on?"

"That." He pointed to the radar, "Someone's coming here."

The heiress took the tiny device in her hand, smiling slightly when it clicked. "It's probably just Gohan and Krillin. They went to see the elder for something and to get the last dragon ball from him. It's no biggie."

"That doesn't change the fact that they're coming here. So get up and get dressed, woman. We don't have all day!" He snapped at her, feeling his temper rise with every passing second. He was going to lose it!

Weak. Idiotic. Laughable.

His mind taunted him for his weakness, his inability to just kill the fucking woman once and for all. Why couldn't he just do it?!

The smile on her face dropped and was slowly replaced with a confused scowl of her own. What in the world was wrong with him? She'd just had the greatest sex of her life and was riding on a high, a high that was slowly fading away with each passing second and being replaced with a more tense air. What just happened?

She wrapped the sheet around her body, getting out of bed and slowly headed towards him. She reached out and put a hand on his shoulder. Faster than she expected, Vegeta roughly shrugged her hand off of him and turned to face her, his expression full of annoyance.

"Don't touch me!" He snarled at her.

Bulma's eyes widened in shock before her face morphed into a frown, slight hurt visible in her eyes. "What the hell is your problem?!"

"You! You're my problem!" The Prince growled and stalked towards her. "You're standing in between me and my goal of immortality that I need to become a Super Saiyan! You're a damned distraction that I don't need or want!"

"A Super Saiyan? What the hell is that?" Bulma asked, her expression bewildered. This was a first. He'd never mentioned anything beyond becoming immortal to defeat Frieza. And what did he mean by distraction? She wasn't doing anything to hinder him.

"That's none of your business!"

"Excuse me?!" The heiress shrieked, anger beginning to take over. She's just about had enough of his attitude. Who the hell did he think he was talking to her like that?!

"Need I remind you that it's my radar you're using to keep track of the dragon balls, so I believe I have every right to know. We're in this together whether you like it or not!"

The temperature in the room dropped significantly. You could have heard a pin drop, the way it was so quiet. Vegeta turned to face her, a shiver going through her at his blank expression.

'No, not just his expression. It's his eyes. They're cold and hollow. Empty.'

Bulma felt unease make its way through her, her palms beginning to sweat. She felt butterflies in her stomach and not the good kind.

"Oh how quickly you forget. Do you really think that just because we've had sex that it changes anything between us? Such a naive woman you are." He whispered gently, a cruel smirk forming on his lips at the anger and hurt in her eyes.

"It was fun while it lasted but never forget why I brought you here in the first place. This", he pointed between them, "was nothing. You mean nothing. Once my wish for immortality is granted, I'll destroy Frieza. And when that's done, I'll go right back to your mudball planet and do what I should have done in the beginning...blow it to smithereens."

"You bastard! You wouldn't dare, Goku will kill you before you get anywhere near our home again!" The heiress yelled, tears flooding her eyes, her fury masking the hurt in her heart. Why was he saying all of this?!

The Prince merely laughed in her face. "Please. That sentimental fool wouldn't kill a fly even if his life depended on it. I'll dispose of him, his little brat and the bald weakling before I kill you. But not before I drag you back to Earth and make you watch as I destroy everything near and dear to you, letting you watch the destruction and listen to the fearful screams and futile prayers for help before I finally end you as well. Sounds like fun, no?"

Without thinking, Bulma drew her hand back and slapped him with all her might, ignoring the pain in her hand. She felt her heart shatter into tiny pieces, How could she have been so stupid to believe that anything had changed between them, to think that she could've been anything to him than a means to an end, and just recently, a warm body?

Vegeta turned his head back towards her, licking the fresh blood off his lips. She'd actually managed to injure him. He was begrudgingly impressed.

"You asshole!"

This time he was ready, catching her wrist when she tried to strike him again. She tried again with her other hand without success. Vegeta took both her hands and shoved them behind her, bringing her chest closer to his.

"Let go of me!" Bulma struggled relentlessly, trying to break free of his grasp.

The Prince gave her a mocking smirk, looking down at her erect nipples. "I don't think that's what you really want, woman. Are you already looking to go again?"

"Fuck you!", she cursed passionately, hating her body for responding to his closeness. "You caught me off guard, I'd never purposely hurt Yamcha like that!"

'Yamcha? Why does that name sound so familiar?'

An image of a man with long dark hair and a scarred face came to mind. That beta male who got killed by a Saibaman was her lover?! What a joke! Vegeta suddenly felt the urge to kill that weakling all over again for some inexplicable reason.

'Claim her. Mark her soft skin and show the universe that she's yours, no one else's.' His Oozaru whispered at the back of his mind.

'Dammit, shut up!'

Shoving those thoughts aside, he gazed deep into her deep blue eyes, holding their gaze as he spoke. "Shows how much you really care about your precious lover, by ending up in bed with his mortal enemy. Since," Vegeta got closer, whispering in her ear, "if my memory serves me correctly, it wasn't his name you were calling out in rapture. It was mine."

He loosened up his grip on her wrists and Bulma snatched her arms away, stepping away from him. Vegeta tensed up, waiting for her next attack, for her venomous words to kill him where he stood. For her to swear her eternal hatred of him and a vow of retribution against him.

She did none of those things.

With tears streaming down her blank face, she spoke in an eerily monotone voice. "You were wrong about yourself, back at the Namekian village. It's not that you aren't any better than Frieza. No, you're worse than he is. Because at least with him, I know one thing for certain. I'd never make the mistake of opening my heart and calling him my friend."

She turned towards the bathroom and slowly walked inside, softly closing the door behind her. Bulma leaned against it and slid to the floor, her heart feeling like it had been pulled out of her chest and stepped on.

'Why? Why does this hurt so much?'

She brought her knees up and hugged her legs, her body shaking with silent sobs. She didn't understand. What had changed between them to warrant such cruelty? It didn't make any sense.

'No, it makes perfect sense. This is who he is. Who he's always been. A cold, calculating, selfish bastard!' She screamed internally.

Except...that wasn't necessarily true. She's seen another side of him. Back on Frieza's ship, he could've left her there to take the fall. Instead, he'd protected her and got them both out unscathed. She'd seen the concern in his eyes for her when he was about to face Zarbon again. He'd been worried about her safety, whether he'd admit it or not.

Most of all, she's seen passion and drive to rid himself of the demon that played a huge part in molding him into the person that he is today. The monster who deprived him of the chance to rule his home planet as the future king. She's also experienced his passion, feeling the tenderness when he held her against his body, the softness of his lust-filled kiss.

'Apparently I had it all wrong. Kami, how could I have been so blind? I was stupid enough to believe that there could be anything remotely close to friendship between us. It still doesn't explain why I feel so shattered.'

Yet, deep down, she knew exactly why she felt this way. She couldn't bring herself to acknowledge it. She just couldn't. Bulma hugged herself tighter, attempting to chase away her traitorous thoughts.

She wasn't ready to admit the possibility that she was slowly falling in love with Vegeta.

'Dear Kami, please forgive me Yamcha. I'm so sorry.'

Click.

The Prince merely stood there, stunned into silence. For some reason, her softly closing the door behind her instead of slamming it made him uneasy.

'What in the world just happened?'

He'd been hoping for her to go into a fury at his cruel words. He'd expected her to attack him with anything within range, to curse him furiously, to rain down promises of vengeance (though how she'd go about doing that, he had no clue). Instead he witnessed something even worse, something that had left a sick feeling in his stomach and a sharp pain in the area where his heart would be if he had one.

Her crushed spirit.

In the beginning, he'd gotten the anger he was looking for. But suddenly, all of that anger had disappeared and had been replaced with sorrow. He'd watched as the bright flame in her eyes that drew him to her in the first place had lost some of its intensity.

Most of all, he hadn't expected her confession that she'd thought of him as...a friend.

The pain in his chest area grew the more he pondered it. How long had she felt this way? Why did she see him that way? It doesn't make any sense. He'd done nothing to deserve that type of loyalty, that type of trust from her. Was she insane? He'd kidnapped her for goodness sake!

In all his years working under Frieza, he's had partners on purging missions, he's had his loyal subjects Raditz and Nappa, who followed him purely because of his title, before he wiped them both from existence. But never in his whole life has he had someone see him as something other than the monster that he was. And it's a weak human woman, of all people. Or rather, it was. Before he went and trampled on her spirit and killed her faith in him.

He snarled in annoyance.

'Enough of that! The only thing that I need is to get my wish granted by the dragon so that I can achieve the legendary. I don't need some idiot woman or her ridiculous notions of companionship. She's proven time and time again to be nothing but trouble!'

Feeling disgusted with himself and his weak feelings, Vegeta quickly finished dressing and left the room, taking the new radar with him. Just as he walked in the living room, the front door swung open. He turned to face the intruders, unsurprised to see Kakarot's whelp and Baldy walk through the threshold. The moment they spotted him, they came to a sudden halt.

The Prince sneered at them, his stance completely relaxed. "How rude. Didn't anyone teach you to knock before entering someone's house?"

"Vegeta?!" Krillin yelped.

"In the flesh." He smirked, giving them a mocking bow. His gaze latched on to the dragon ball in Krillin's possession and his smirk morphed into a devilish grin. "Ah, and it looks like you have exactly what I need. I'll gladly relieve you of your burden."

Krillin scowled and held the ball behind him, he could feel Gohan tense beside him, ready to defend the dragon ball. "No way! Not happening!"

Vegeta scoffed lightly at their show of bravado. "Come now. Don't be stupid. You know I could easily take you both down, power boost or not."

He clicked his tongue, smiling wickedly at their shocked expressions. "Oh yes, I know about your little power ups that you got from the old crone who gave you that dragon ball. Unfortunately for you two, your boosts aren't enough to stop me."

"How did you find out? There was no one to tell about this." Gohan said, confusion evident on his face. Vegeta said nothing, his smile still in place.

A look of understanding suddenly crossed Krillin's face the same time it crossed Gohan's. Krillin sharply turned towards Vegeta, anger and fear shining through his gaze.

"Where's Bulma? What have you done to her?!" Krillin dropped the ball, clenching his fists. Gohan took a threatening step forward, ready to attack at any moment.

The Prince raised an eyebrow, looking down his nose at the bald warrior. "What makes you think I've done anything to her? Do you see a dead body laying around here?"

"I swear to Kami Vegeta, if I find out that you disturbed even a hair on her head-"

"Calm down Krillin. He didn't do anything to me."

All three heads swiveled over to the bedroom, watching as Bulma walked out dressed in a pink robe and her hair in a ponytail.

Gohan walked over to her, giving her a quick hug. "Thank goodness you're alright Bulma! We were worried."

The heiress gave him a small smile, hugging him back. "You didn't have to worry, Gohan. I'm perfectly fine."

Krillin stayed silent, looking her over. He was glad that she was okay and that Vegeta hadn't hurt her. But something was off. She looked fine but something about her felt different. His eyes narrowed as he took more of her, trying to find what changed. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, her skin looked like it was glowing. Her hair looked like it had been hastily tied up.

She also pointedly avoided looking at Vegeta. The air suddenly became tense the moment she entered the living room from the bedroom.

The monk's eyes widened slightly.

'The same bedroom I'm sure Vegeta walked out of the exact same time we came into the house.'

Krillin has been friends with Bulma for a long time. Long enough to know that she's a very vain person. She's always doing her best to look good, all the time, no matter what the situation. And right now her unkempt, hastily thrown together look was raising red flags. Serious red flags.

'Bulma has always been attracted to bad boys but this is ridiculous. She wouldn't do that. She wouldn't.'

And yet, he couldn't shake the idea that something had happened between them. Something he really didn't want to believe she would do. She was with Yamcha for crying out loud! That's one line she wouldn't cross. He was sure of it.

Mostly.

Bulma looked at Krillin, feeling her heart quicken at the suspicious look in his eyes. Something about it made her feel uneasy, as if he knew what had happened between her and Vegeta.

'There's no way he knows what happened. I'm just being paranoid.'

But that look. It was too sure, too direct.

She hadn't planned on coming out in just her robe. One moment she was in the bathroom trying to compose herself, the next she heard a commotion and shouting coming from outside. With no time to get dressed, she grabbed her robe and walked in the living room to put a stop to all the noise. She didn't doubt for one second that he could come to his own conclusion given time. Best put a stop to it now.

The heiress' eyes quickly scanned the room, her gaze falling on the dragon ball by the door. Perfect!

"Hey, you guys managed to get a dragon ball. That's great! Now we have all of them."

"All of them? But there's only two here." Krillin said, his suspicious gaze replaced with one of confusion. Her distraction seemed to have worked.

'Thank Kami.'

She pointed to the radar in Vegeta's hand. "True but we managed to gather the other five from Frieza's ship and left them in a safe place far away from his ship. We can use the radar to find the rest and finally summon the dragon."

Krillin's eyes just about left his skull, they were so wide. "From Frieza's ship? How in the world did you even get there? Most importantly, how are you still ALIVE?"

Bulma waved her hand dismissively. "Long story. The important thing right now is gathering the dragon balls and making our wishes."

"That's if I was planning on letting you use the dragon balls which, surprise surprise, I'm not." Vegeta snorted

"Oh that's okay. We weren't planning on letting you use them either." Krillin said, his expression serious.

"You really think you have a chance against me because of some power boost? Don't make me laugh."

Krillin grit his teeth, doing his best to keep in control. "Even if we can't stop you, Goku would be more than a match for you. No doubt about it."

"Kakarot?" Vegeta asked, his face twisted into a confused frown.

"Mmm hmm." Baldy nodded, a smug look on his face. "He's on his way here. He should be arriving soon. You won't have anything to say once he's on the planet."

The Prince was momentarily stunned before he barked out a laugh..

"Oh please. Don't tell me that's the best threat you could come up with. Using that sorry excuse of a warrior against me. He barely even survived our last encounter. What makes you think he's got any chance of defeating me when I mopped the floor with him last time?"

"Hey, my dad is not pathetic. You take that back!" Gohan growled, his jaw clenched.

He raised an eyebrow at the brat, taking in his stance. The boy's eyes were alight with fury. The same fury he saw back on Earth when he challenged him.

Vegeta smiled and turned to face the young half saiyan. "Do you want to have another go at me, brat? I wouldn't recommend it. You might not make it out alive this time."

"That is enough!" Bulma got in between them, pushing Vegeta away. He stumbled back before pulling himself upright, glaring daggers at her.

"Woman, you dare-"

"Zip it!" She slashed her hand in front of him. Bulma looked him dead in the eye, making sure he knew she was serious.

"First things first, you will never threaten Gohan or Krillin like that again, you hear me?! Second, here's how things are going to play out!"

She got closer, poking her finger against his chest. "As I've told you before, the dragon here grants three wishes. You can have one for yourself and we'll take the other two to bring our friends back and that's that!"

"What?! Absolutely not!" He snarled.

"Bulma, are you insane?!" Krillin yelled at the same time as Vegeta.

She ignored her friend, never breaking stride. "Why not? It makes the most sense since you only need one wish for yourself that you can do whatever you want to with."

"Bulma you can't let him have a wish. He'll probably kill us and then take all three for himself!" Krillin interjected.

"What choice do we have Krillin?! Are you strong enough to stop him? Is Gohan? I won't allow you guys to get yourselves killed over this. No way!"

She faced Vegeta again. "As for you, in exchange for letting you have this wish, you have to promise that you'll leave us and the Earth alone. You'll have gotten what you want from the dragon so you won't need anything or anyone from there. Capiche?!"

Bulma saw his eye twitch, the only sign he'd been affected by her words in her last sentence. Kami, the man was so frustrating!

'Well, at least she hadn't lost all of her spunk.' He mused halfheartedly.

The audacity of this woman! What gave her the right to address him in such a disrespectful manner?! He swiped her finger off his chest and opened his mouth, prepared to cut her silly idea down.

'What the hell was that?!'

Vegeta turned his head upwards, his expression incredulous.

'No...it can't be…'

"Vegeta? What's wrong?" Bulma's expression relaxed at the sudden alarm on Vegeta's face. She heard a whimpering noise and turned to face the other two, similar looks plastered on their faces.

"Guys...what's wrong?"

"Oh Kami...it's horrible." Gohan whispered, his little body trembling.

"What? What's horrible? Can someone please tell me what in the world is going on?!" She didn't mean to yell but they were starting to scare her.

Krillin turned to her, his face pale. "Five massive power levels just entered the planet's atmosphere. Each one stronger than the last. I've never felt anything like it."

"And it's most likely the last time you ever will."

All of them looked to the Prince, his fearful expression barely contained under a veil of indifference.

"Why would you say that?" Bulma whispered.

He turned to them, the air around them filled with dread. "Because Frieza has summoned the Ginyu Force."

"The Ginyu Force? Who are they?" She asked.

"The Ginyu Force is the most feared fighting squadron in the universe, as well as Frieza's personal lap dogs. If they're on Namek, it means that Frieza called for them to speed up the search. It also means we don't stand a chance against them." Vegeta looked away, a sharp pain going through his mouth at the force of his grit teeth. He struggled to swallow, his throat tightening with dread.

This wasn't good. Not even a little bit. They were in serious trouble.

'If I have any chance at getting my wish, I need to do it now.'

Turning to face the Earthlings, Vegeta addressed them. "Listen, we don't have a lot of time. If you still want to make your wishes, we need to go now!"

All of their mouths dropped in shock. Vegeta was going to let them have their wishes? Just like that?

"Now you idiots! We don't have any more time to waste! Or you can kiss your chance at getting your friends back goodbye!" He shouted in a panic. He'd come too far, gotten too close for those overpowered bastards to destroy his one and only chance at killing Frieza.

Snapping into gear, Krillin and Gohan took the other two dragon balls and raced to the front door, Vegeta following behind them.

"Wait! I'm coming with you! Just let me get dressed." Bulma turned towards the bedroom.

"Absolutely not!" Vegeta yelled.

"Oh and just why not?!" She yelled back, arms akimbo.

"Because I said so! You're staying here and I don't want to hear another word about it!"

The young genius stepped forward, getting in his face. "You can't tell me what to do. You're not the boss of me!"

"Would you use that genius brain of yours and think for a second?! Frieza is going to brief them on their mission, meaning he's going to mention the obstacles in his path and order them taken out. He's going to tell the Ginyu's about me, about your little friends and about you! You'll be taken straight back to Frieza's ship again and this time, no one will be there to save you!"

Without thinking, Vegeta grabbed her arms and leaned towards her, holding her gaze. "For the little stunts we pulled, Frieza will be sure to pay them back to you a hundredfold. He'll have you wishing for death long before he's done with you. And I can promise you, that isn't what you want. So for your safety and my sanity's sake Bulma. Just. Stay. Here!"

Giving her no chance to answer, he turned back to face the boys and showed them the radar. "Either you two follow me or no one gets their wishes. Now let's go!"

Vegeta then sprinted out the door. Krillin and Gohan looked at her, regret shining in their eyes. "Sorry Bulma but he's right. We need to go. But I promise we'll be back as soon as we can." Krillin reassured her.

They quickly followed the monarch, leaving Bulma all alone yet again.

"Dammit all to hell!" She yelled before stomping into the bedroom. What she'd give to be half as strong as Goku right now so she could be helping out. She just felt so useless.

Upon entering, she was greeted by the sight of the messy bed. All at once, the memories of their passionate encounter rushed back at her. Every moan, all their sultry kisses, every soft caress of their breath on their heated skin…

The heiress snarled at the memories, chasing them away. She stalked forward and ripped the sheets off the bed, attempting to rid herself of all thoughts of them making love. It hurt her too much considering the aftermath.

'No! We didn't make love, we had sex. Nothing more!' She yelled to her treacherous feelings.

Bulma ran into the bathroom and ripped her robe off, turning on the shower. When the water was scalding, she climbed in and scrubbed herself until she was bright pink, wanting to rid herself of all the evidence of their escapade.

'Stupid, stupid, stupid.' She silently reprimanded.

"Fuck you!", she cursed passionately, hating her body for responding to his closeness. "You caught me off guard, I'd never purposely hurt Yamcha like that!"

Shame flooded her conscience at that afterthought. She'd said to Vegeta in the heat of the moment. Even though she and Yamcha were an on again/off again couple, after what happened today, they were definitely over for good. Yamcha was sweet and kind but this was too much. He'd never forgive her for this. Her tears mixed with the water, her heart heavy with sadness.

'Well, it won't really matter if they don't actually manage to summon the dragon in time. We'd end up joining them in the Other World anyway.'

Bulma turned off the shower and got out. She was patting herself off with a fluffy towel when her head shot up.

"Shit. They don't have the password. They can't summon the dragon without it!"

Fuck fuck fuck!

The heiress sprinted into the bedroom and got dressed, donning a new outfit identical to the old one. She pushed her headband back on her head and made a mad dash for the door, taking the capsule case with her. She ran into the open space and popped open the case, tossing it onto the ground and hopping on to her airbike.

"Damn, which way was the village again?" She mused.

Crossing her fingers, she turned eastwards and punched it, going as fast as she could. There was a good possibility that, even if she was going in the right direction, she was too late. But as long as the sky hadn't gone dark, there was still hope!

"Gosh, I hope Elder Tsuno and everyone else is still okay. Hopefully none of Frieza's soldiers had managed to find them." She whispered.

Bulma drove on, becoming more and more frustrated and worried by the second. She'd been driving for a while now and was sure she was going in circles. She hit the brakes and looked around, trying to find some sign of civilisation. It was probably safe to say that she was lost.

"Just perfect! I can't see where I am. Everything looks the fucking same." The heiress huffed.

"Boy, you can say that again."

Too late, the hairs on the back of her neck stood to attention. She'd been so distracted by her irritation that she'd stopped paying attention to her surroundings.

Bulma slowly turned around, coming face to face with a tall, purple horned person. He was dressed in armour and had a scouter on his face. She couldn't sense power levels for shit, but she could feel the power radiating off of this guy. The evil in it made her skin crawl. But that wasn't the most damning thing of all. No. It was what he had with him. Floating all around him were the dragon balls. All seven of them.

'No...please no…'

"He was right about you. You really are quite beautiful. Although he didn't mention how quiet you were." The man said, his eyes shining with dark amusement.

Bulma struggled to get her throat to work. She swallowed a few times before speaking. "Who...are you?" She whimpered.

He smirked and took a step forward. "Me? I'm Lord Frieza's second in command. Leader of the most illustrious fighting squad in the universe. My name...is Captain Ginyu!" All of a sudden, he struck the most ridiculous pose she'd ever seen. His arms were stretched in front of him, palms spread out. He stood on his toes with his legs spread to the side. It looked really uncomfortable.

She felt her blood turn to ice.

"Ginyu...from the Ginyu Force?" Bulma whispered, dread filling her entire being. She was in trouble. A world of trouble.

'How do I always get myself into these messes?'

"Ahh, so you know who I am? That's good. Saves me the trouble." He dropped his pose and took a step closer to her, a deceptively kind smile on his face.

"And you must be Vegeta's little girlfriend." His smile widened at the shock on her face. "Oh yes, I know who you are. Lord Frieza told us all about you. You really made quite the impression on him and he'd like me to bring you back to him so that he can...chat with you."

'Over my dead body!'

Bulma immediately turned back and hit the throttle, wanting to get away as fast as possible. She'd rather fly straight into one of the three suns on Namek than go back to that monster!

"I don't think so."

She found herself dangling in the air while her bike flew forward, crashing into a large boulder. She struggled in his grasp, trying to break free.

"You bastard! Let me go!"

He shrugged indifferently. "Sorry, no can do. We were given strict instructions by Lord Frieza. Kill the two shrimps and bring you and Vegeta back to him alive."

The heiress stopped wiggling, his words piercing the veil of fear surrounding her. "If you hurt my friends in any way, I swear on my life that I'll-"

"Relax. They were still alive when I left them with my squad for a little play time. Your precious Saiyan Prince will be joining us soon enough back at the ship."

"Never! Vegeta will never let you take him back. He'd sooner die and so would I!" Bulma started struggling again, fighting with all her might to get free. She had to get away from him! She couldn't go back to Frieza's ship. Wouldn't!

"Hey, would you keep still?" Ginyu demanded. She wiggled around so much, it was difficult to keep her in one place! He began to switch his hold on her.

The moment she felt that, Bulma swung her leg back and got him in the shin, forcing him to drop her to the ground. Quickly, she got up and sprinted. She'd sooner break her own legs than go back to that hell hole.

Bulma had made all of three steps before she was apprehended again, her hands gripped behind her back. She fought like a damn wildcat, resisting like her life depended on it.

Ginyu grit his teeth in frustration. "I didn't want to do this. I'd hoped you would come quietly but you leave me no choice."

He maneuvered his arm around her and raised his hand to her neck. He flattened his hand and swung quickly, striking her neck area.

The heiress jerked at the hit, her vision fading slowly.

'Krillin, Gohan...please be okay, you guys. Vegeta, don't you dare let them take you. Not again.'

That was her final thought before her world went dark.

"Good lord, what a nuisance." Ginyu shook his head at the unconscious woman in his arms. He could see why Vegeta had taken a liking to her. She reminded him a lot of the Saiyan Prince when he was younger and more reckless. The woman was a carbon copy of him.

He gathered her up and tossed her over his shoulder. Using his powers, he levitated the dragon balls back into the air and flew off back towards the ship. The sooner he dropped her off, the sooner he could join the others again. Ginyu looked at the girl again, feeling pity for her.

She really had no idea what was in store for her once they got back to Lord Frieza. The poor girl was a goner.

'Oh well. It's none of my business.'

He brushed those thoughts aside and quickened his pace, eager to deliver his package to this master.

A/N 2: And that's that chapter done and dusted! God, that took forever to write. But I'm really happy with how it turned out. Gosh, Vegeta is such a dick huh? But we knew it couldn't always be sunshine and roses between them. Plus, the poor dude is in serious denial. But what will happen once he learns about Bulma? Stay tuned to find out!

Okay, quick note. I created a twitter account so that you all can get updates on when I'm updating or posting a new story. Or if I just feel like venting, whatever lol. I figured it's better that way instead of leaving you in the dark and it'll help me be less of a hermit. My twitter is ReadingRose18, exactly the same as my pen name. I'd appreciate it if you guys followed me. It'll be a fun time!

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Thank you to RoyalBlueRoses, Kharyne1 and ThunderxShadow for your reviews on the last chapter. Your comments are what keep me going. I really appreciate it.

All then everyone! Stay safe, drink lots of water and I'll see you on Twitter! Peace, love and good vibes to you all! Until next time!
