This is the 5th chapter of the crossover story. I don't own the series of High School DxD or the video game of Final Fantasy 13.

No flame reviews, seriously it's a bad rep and I have no tolerance what so ever.

Town of Kuoh

That morning, Virgil was walking through the park on his way to Kuoh Academy, though it's Saturday which there was no school but Rias did tell him that only club members were allowed to come to Kuoh Academy for meeting weekends which that was news to him. He learned that Rias and her peerage were devils, along with Issei but he's been a devil for only recently. However, Virgil told them about his abilities of a l'Cie and the Focus, but what he didn't tell them was his origin about him as a orphan and being adopted by Lightning Farron or his home planet, Gran Pulse. Though he had a reason not to get into full details. However, those Fallen Angels may still think that he's a devil but of course, he's not which he couldn't help but sigh.

'Well, at least I get a break from those fights I've been having for the past few days.' He mentally thought.

"AH!"

Suddenly, a cry that was coming from someone was fallen down, make Virgil turned his head to see the ground. He couldn't help but sweat drop as he saw a girl fell to the ground face first with her arms out, and blush when her butt was sticking out while her panties were showing.

"Hey, are you alright?" Virgil asked as he approaches to her.

"Oh no, it looks like I felt down again. I'm such a klutz." The girl moaned.

Virgil walked over to her and hold out his hand. "Do you need some help?"

Raising her hands and knees, the girl looks up and grabbed his hand.

"Oh, thank you." She thanked as she stands back up, before a gush of the wind blows the veil away, leaving Virgil stunned.

She's a pretty young girl with long golden blond hair that flows down to her back with spilt bangs over her forehead and a single strand sticking out from the top, sloping backwards and green eyes. Her attire was a dark teal nun with light blue accents, brown satchel slung on her right hip, and brown boots with light blue straps in an X-shaped pattern. She also wore a silver cross necklace around her neck.

'A nun?' He thought before walking over to the veil and picked it up. "Here you go." Virgil said, holding it to her.

"Oh! Thank you so much. That was very sweet of you." She thanked him while takes the veil and place it back on her head.

Virgil couldn't help but smile while nodding. 'From the look of her, she's kinda cute and innocent.'

He notices some of the movement to his right and saw her traveling bag which was opened with some of her clothes that were spreading over on the sidewalk. He bents down and grabbed one of her clothes.

"How about I give you hand." He offered.

"Ah, it's fine." She said before kneeling down to grab some of her clothes. As they place some of the clothes back in the bag, Virgil couldn't help but notice a flicker of pink from behind the veil, but he ignored it.

"So, what brings you here?" Virgil asked as he handed her last clothing, which was a pair of her underwear. Blushing heavily, she quickly snatches it from him and quickly places it before she shuts it, Virgil stands back up.

"Well actually, I'm a little bit lost." She answered with a blush, fidgeting her fingers. "Do you think you could help me out?"

"Um, sure." Virgil nodded, even though he haven't been in Japan for 17 years only because he was raised from Gran Pulse.

"Really?" She exclaimed with excitement. "Oh, thank you! The Lord must have sent you to me!"

'Actually, I was on my way to school before you got tripped by accident.' Virgil thought, but he couldn't say that to a nun.

As they started to head towards the direction to where the Church was, Virgil decided to talk to her.

"So, what was it you were heading?" Virgil asked.

"Oh, I was just assigned to serve the Church in this town." She answered.

"I see." Virgil said.

Until, they heard the sound of crying that was coming from the playground and they saw a young boy who was crying. Looking closer, Virgil a scrap on the boy's knee. Before he react, the nun quickly rushed over to the boy while he follows. The nun kneeling down to his level while patting his head.

"A big boy like you shouldn't cry over a scrap, don't worry you're gonna be fine." She assured the boy as she hold out her hands and places the palms on the wound. Then, a bright green light appears on her palms.

Virgil looked at the light, wondering that if she used a paradigm to use the role of medic but he saw two rings that appeared on her fingers from each hand.

'If I remember, this is the Sacred Gear. No doubt a healing type.' Virgil mentally guessed when the light disappeared and the boy's knee was completely healed.

"You see, there's no reason for you to cry at all." She said with a smile. "Your just fine."

She then noticed that Virgil was still behind her as she turned her head.

"All done now, sorry." She apologized, playfully sticking her tongue out.

As they continued to heads towards the direction of the Church, Virgil was wondering about the Sacred Gear she got. He remembered about what Kiba have told him about the form of Sacred Gears, of course what he saw was those rings that grant her ability to heal. Just like the paradigm role of the medic, except for the Sacred Gear.

"You must be surprised." The nun said, snapping out of his thoughts.

"Not exactly, I was actually impressed about that power of yours." Virgil said with a small smile.

"Thank you, I consider it to be a gift and a blessing." She thanked him with her sad smile. "Truly, it's wonderful."

He noticed that something must've been bothering her, but Virgil didn't want to pry. Whatever was going with her, it must've been bad.

"Hey there it is!" She suddenly said with a smile, saw a church at the top of the hill. "Thank goodness I found it, that's a relief."

Virgil looked up to that Church, he noticed that something was wrong about it which he didn't like it at all.

'Whatever was going on about that Church, I've been getting some bad vibes about it.' Virgil thought with a scowl. 'Something tells me that this place was trouble. Also, there wasn't a single person in there, not even one.'

"Let me thank you properly." She said with an offer. "Would it be a problem for you to come inside with me?"

"Sorry, I got somewhere to go and I've been keeping them waiting long enough." Virgil told her.

"Oh that's okay." She said with a downcast look but smiled. "Guess I should go too. It was sweet of you to help me find my way. My name is Asia Argento."

"And I'm Virgil Farron." Virgil introduced with a smile. "And your very welcome."

"Virgil huh? Well uh, so...meeting you here was a blessing and I know for sure it's what I won't forget." Asia said. "I hope we see each other again."

"Yeah, same here." Virgil agreed with a nod.

"If your ever bored in the neighborhood, come by and visit me at the Church." Asia offered. "That's where I'll be at."

"I'll keep that in mind." Virgil told her as he began to leave. "Have good day."

"Thanks, you have a good day too." Asia told him as she waved while Virgil waved back at her.

When Asia and Virgil went separate ways, he felt a sad expression on his face.

'I felt terrible for her walking the rest of the way. But, she's the first girl that I've ever talk too, even though she's the nicest person I've ever met.' Virgil thought with a small smile. Until, Issei was here, running towards him.

"Virgil, there you are!" Issei said, wheezing. "I've...been...looking all over...for you."

"Issei, what's the rush?" Virgil asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Rias was sent me to find you." Issei told him. "You we're suppose to head towards the Student Council Room."

That got Virgil's attention.

"Was it something serious?" Virgil asked.

"No, at least I think. Look all I know is that you are needed in the Student Council Room." Issei informed him, leaving Virgil sighed.

"Alright, alright, I'm heading there." Virgil said as they headed towards Kuoh Academy as Issei noticed that figure of girl that was pretty far but noticed that a Church, until a terrible chill was sent down to his spine. Sweat starting to come down to his face while shivered in place.

"Issei!" Virgil called out, snapping out of his thoughts. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Issei answered with an awkward smile, leaving Virgil confused.

With that, both Issei and Virgil continued to head towards Kuoh Academy.

'What was that? My body just freaked out on me, it's just weird.' Issei thought.

Kuoh Academy

When they reached to Kuoh Academy, they headed at the second floor when they saw Tsubaki and other two girls.

The girl on the right had a tomboy appearance and bishounen face, blue hair that down shoulder length, and blue eyes, had a sweatband on her wrist while the other girl on the left has slim appearance with long twin braided brown hair with blue headband, and brown eyes.

Issei was shocked that the Student Council Members were here in the second floor.

"Was there something wrong?" Virgil asked.

"No, it's nothing too serious." Tsubaki shook her head as she gestures to the Student Council Members. "This is Reya Kusaka."

Reya bows before Tsubaki turned to the tomboy. "And this is Tsubasa Yura."

"How's it going?" Tsubasa asked politely in a tomboyish manner.

"We're here to escort you to the Student Council Room. If you would please follow us?"

Virgil nodded as they began to head to the corridor. The sound of the mixture of dress shoes and sneakers echoes with each step. As they continued on, Virgil noticed that looked in between the three, Tsubaki on the front, Reya on the left, and Tsubasa on the right which the were assembly lined up. However, Issei looked at them with confusion, wondering why would they be here.

"So." Tsubasa suddenly spoke. "I have heard that you fought against those Fallen Angels on the different days and fought the Stray Exorcists two days ago."

"Stray Exorcists?" Virgil asked confusingly.

"They were once Exorcists that were members of the Church which of course they were exiled only because they lack of ideals of the teachings." Reya explained which Virgil understands.

"That explains about those black robes they were wearing." Virgil muttered as he asked. "So, what gave it away?"

"Rias have told Sona about it which of course no human was capable of pulling off something that was dangerous." Tsubaki told him.

"And you were able to pull it off which that was pretty gutsy." Tsubasa said with impressed look. "Still, I'm impressed."

"Well, thanks." Virgil thanked her, leaving Tsubasa blushed while looking away. Tsubaki and Reya looked at their friend, little surprised while Issei looked at him with a perverted grin.

"Chuck up another girl in your harem, huh Virgil?" Issei asked, causing Virgil to look at him with his dark glare.

"Shut up or I will gut you from the inside out!" Virgil warned him with his dark tone, causing Issei to flinched with scared look.

'I believe him, I'll shut up.' Issei thought with fear, leaving the girls giggled a bit since Virgil had been a bit annoyed by fangirls and perverted boys.

When they got here, they were surprised to see a certain crimson-haired girl that was standing outside of the room, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed and arms crossed with a stern look on her face.

"Miss Gremory?" Tsubaki asked as they stopped. "Is everything okay?"

"Actually, I like to speak with my servant, please." Rias answered with her stern voice, leaving them nodded.

"Good luck Issei." Virgil said as he left, leaving both Rias and Issei alone in the hall.

Student Council Room

After Virgil and the Student Council Members arrived in the Student Council Room, he was surprised that the Occult Research Members were here. Inside of the Student Council Room was a big long table with chairs pushed into it. Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko were on the left side while Momo, Reya, and Tsubasa on the other. At the end was Sona sitting on the table while her sister, Serafall was on her left side when she saw Virgil with a smile.

"Hi Virgil!" Serafall greeted, waving her hand while Sona sighed with annoyance.

Few minutes later, both Issei and Rias finally arrived which that got their attention as Tsubaki whispered to the Student Council President, leaving her nodded with understanding.

"Well, I'm glad you two made up." Sona said with a smirk. "Honestly Rias, you're being too soft on your servants."

"We both have our own ways of doing things." Rias retorts with a smirk.

"You two know each other?" Virgil asked.

"Indeed we have." Sona answered as she pushed out of her chair and walks around the table, standing in front of him. "You may heard my other name, Sona Shitori, but allow me to fully introduce myself. My name is Sona Sitri, I'm the heiress of the Sitri Clan."

"So, you're a Devil too?" He asked.

"Yes, as the rest of Student Council Members as well." Sona nodded as she turned around and walked back to her chair. After sitting in it, she gestures at the other end of the table, opposite of her. "Please have a seat so we'll begin."

With that, Rias, Issei, and Virgil walked over to their seats. Sitting on the chairs, Virgil looked around the entire room, noticing that everyone's attention was on him.

"Is there a reason why I'm here?" He asked.

"There is, Virgil." Rias answered as she leans back with her arms crossed. "The events after what happened to you in few days ago during the fight against in between two Fallen Angels and five Stray Exorcists and behind the mystery of your power comes to the point where answers are in order. When I contacted Lady Serafall Leviathan, I told her about your power and your capabilities."

"That's right." Serafall said with her usual smile. "Rias told me that you've killed two Fallen Angels and five Stray Exorcists which it's not easy for any human would do that."

"Indeed." Sona agreed. "However, you were the first human who fought them and killed them which I find that strange that you have powers that no human would ever have."

"The only reason I have those powers is because I've earned them through training and hardships." Virgil answered as he explains. "Like I told Rias and her members, I'm not exactly human."

That the Student Council Members surprised, including Serafall.

"If your not human, then what are you?" Sona asked.

"I'm a l'Cie." Virgil answered, the reaction from the Student Council Members and Serafall shocked. However, the Occult Research Club already knew what he was.

"You see, I was originally born here on Earth, adopted by the former one from a planet called Gran Pulse, and I was trained to be one of them." Virgil told them.

"What is a l'Cie?" Serafall asked curiously. "I've never heard of that kind of monster before."

"l'Cie aren't exactly monsters." Virgil explains. "You may not be aware of this, but they're humans that are branded by Fal'Cie and given by great physical and magical powers, as well as a Focus to fulfill they're missions. Also, these powers were coming from the crystals."

That got their attention as Virgil placed his hand on his left chest, which flashed a bright pink light, and brought out a bright pink rose bloom floating on his right palm.

"Wow, it's so pretty." Serafall said with starry eyes.

"If one fulfills their Focus, they will be granted an eternal life in the peaceful slumber of crystal stasis in other words, you will be the servant of Fal'Cie for eternity until the new Focus is presented." Virgil continues explained. "However, if they don't fulfill the Focus in time, then they'll turned into monsters that called Cie'th for eternity until they die."

That got them shocked, which they never heard of l'Cie, not even the Underworld knows about it.

"I see." Sona said. "But do you have a Focus?"

"No I don't." Virgil shook his head. "I'm not even a l'Cie and I wasn't branded by Fal'Cie."

"Then how was it that you have the crystal in the first place?" Sona asked seriously.

"My mother, uncle, and aunt were former l'Cie's and for some reason their brands were removed after they fulfilled their Focus and awoken from their crystal stasis, but they still have their crystals with all their powers in it." Virgil answered, placed the crystal back into his left chest. "My mother gave me part of her crystal and since it grew bigger as I grew stronger thanks to her training."

The Student Council Members were reacted with the mixture of disbelief and wonder as they took everything that was said about his powers. However Serafall, Rias, and Sona, being the oldest Devils were just surprised that he was trained by his adopted mother.

Sona cleared his throat while adjusting her glasses. "I see, well that explains how you defeated those Fallen Ones and Stray Exorcists, but do you really believe that your were raised from another planet, this Gran Pulse?"

"What do you mean?" Virgil asked.

"There weren't anything from the books and records here." Rias said. "Nothing to prove about it."

"Actually, there is." Virgil said as he took a book out of his bag and place it on the table which it happens to be an Encyclopedia about Gran Pulse. "This book contains information about Gran Pulse."

"So this book contains vital information about your home planet and l'Cie?" Sona asked, getting a nod from him as she look down at the table, thinking. From what Virgil told this l'Cie, and if that was true then there might be another planet. Looking back at Virgil, everything he told them was the truth, but she wants to make sure to prove to the point. "Virgil, if what you said was true, then I must ask of you: How long have you been in Gran Pulse? And what was your mother's name?"

Virgil took a deep breath and looked at her with his serious look. "I was raised in Gran Pulse for only 17 years and my mothers name, Lightning Farron. She gave me the name 'Virgil Farron' when I was a baby."

Sona leans against her chair as a smirk appeared. "Okay then."

"HUH?" Everyone looked at her with surprise.

"Come on, Rias." Sona said with almost taunting tone. "You've known him longer than any of us here, why wouldn't you believe him."

"She's right, Rias. You shouldn't doubt him, not even your servants, either." Serafall told her with a smile.

Rias looked at her for a couple of seconds and sighed. "I guess your right, maybe it's because I have doubts about it."

She stood out from the chair, followed by the other members of the Occult Research Club, except for Virgil.

"I thank you for your time, but we'll be on our way." Virgil thanked her as he stood out of the chair and leave.

"Virgil." Sona called out, getting his attention. "I'll look into it of the Encyclopedia since I'm quite curious about Gran Pulse."

Virgil nodded as he left the Student Council Room.

Occult Research Club

When they got into the Occult Research Club Room, Issei began to put some of batch of flyers in the bag, getting ready to deliver them.

"So Issei, what did Rias told you?" Virgil asked curiously.

"Oh, she told me to stay away from the Church." Issei answered simply.

"Is there a reason?" He asked.

"You could say that." Issei nodded. "You see, she me told that Devils are the enemies to the Church if I ever set foot there, I'd be in big trouble which that would cause major problems. Of course, it explains why my body was all tensed up."

"I see." Virgil said. "That explains why you were staring at it with that look on your face. I've been getting some bad vibes about it."

"What do you mean?" Issei asked confusingly.

"Well, whenever I look at the Church, something tells me there's trouble." Virgil explains. "I don't know if anyone was in there."

"Do you think that Exorcists are in there?" Issei asked.

"I doubt it." Virgil answered seriously. "All I'm saying was that this place was trouble, that's all I know."

"Okay, but who was that girl? You know, the girl who runs toward the Church." Issei asked, changing the subject.

"Oh, that was Asia Argento." Virgil answered. "Also, she's a nun of the Church as far as I know."

Before Issei asked, both Akeno and Rias showed up at the clubroom.

"Oh, Virgil. I thought you left." Rias said curiously.

"I was about to." Virgil said. "Something happen?"

"There is, we've just receive the message from the Archduke." Akeno answered seriously. "It was urgent, a Stray Devil has been causing trouble nearby."

That got Virgil's attention while Issei was confused.

Outskirts of Kuoh

When the Occult Research Members were gathered, Rias used her teleport magic to head over toward the abandoned place where the Stray Devil was at. However, both Virgil and Issei were confused about.

"Stray Devils start out as Devil Servants." Kiba explains.

"You mean like we are?" Issei asked.

"No, not exactly." Kiba answered. "Once in a while, a servant rebels and kills their master to gain freedom. Then they become Strays."

When they arrived their destination, Akeno began to explain the information.

"According to the reports, this Stray has been tricking people into that abandon house and eating them."

"Gross!" Issei said with disgust.

"Tonight's job shouldn't be too hard, just find the beast and kill it." Akeno told them as Rias turned her head to Virgil.

"You don't look surprised about us teleporting here, why is that?" Rias asked curiously.

"Where I was from, we use the portal to head to other worlds which of course, I used it to get to Kuoh." Virgil answered.

Rias was surprised when she heard some new information about his home planet, along with the other club members.

After few minutes of walking, they find themselves standing in front of the large structure building that was abandoned for quite some time.

"Anyway, monsters are pure evil." Kiba said, changing the subject. "They don't care about anything but their own selfish desires and that ends in ugliness."

Of course, that was more than enough to get Virgil ready to fight.

'A Devil that went rogue against there own master, that's pretty much selfish in there own way.' Virgil thought with a scowl.

"Issei." Rias called him, getting his attention. "Are you familiar with the game of chess?"

"Yeah, sort of. I've played it, but I totally suck." Issei admits.

"As the Master I'm the King, my Empress is the Queen, my Caviler the Knight, my Tank the Rook, my Clergyman the Bishop, and my Foot Soldier the Pawn." Rias explained. "Devils with titles and nobility grant the characteristics of these pieces to each one of their servants."

"Meaning?" Virgil asked.

"We have a special name for them, we call them our Evil Pieces." Rias answered.

"Sorry, but why are you telling me this?" Issei asked confusingly.

"I want you and Virgil to watch and learn, pay close attention to my Devils as do battle here tonight." Rias answered seriously.

"I've already know how to fight." Virgil told her.

"True, but you don't know how we do things here." Rias smirked, look over her shoulder.

"It's here." Koneko told them, getting ready to fight.

"Now what could that foul fickle smell be?" A lustful voice asked as it came out of the shadows. "Something smells quite delicious as well, I wonder if it taste sweet or bitter."

A voice revealed to be a Stray Devil. The top part happens to be a voluptuous woman with long black hair while the other part was monstrous with four-human arms with sharp claws and the viper's tail.

"I see big boobies!" Issei shouted perversely while Virgil scowled at the monster.

"Vizer you wretch! You've betrayed your master and ran away to fulfill your lustful ones and desires that have consumed you." Rias said with serious expression. "Your sins are worthy on a thousand hells. In the name of Great Marquis of Gremory, Begone or Meet your Death!"

'Seriously?! Haven't you heard of 'Action Speaks Louder Than Words!' Virgil mentally shouted.

"Oh just give it a rest you little slut." Vizer refused as she began to caress her breasts. "You always have had it in for me, you just jealous cause your breast will never be as luscious as these."

"This is your final warning! Go back to your master, now!" Rias warned her.

'This is ridiculous!' Virgil thought impatiently as he unleashed his gunblade while used his paradigm to ravager and used his Flamestrike to fire his flame bullet at the Stray Devils head, causing her to scream in agony.

"AAAAHHH! IT BURNS! IT BURNS!" Vizer writhed in pain, Rias and her peerage turned to Virgil as he used his paradigm to switch ravager to synergist.

"Haste" Virgil enhanced his speed while using his paradigm to switch synergist to commando as he ran towards the Stray Devil and began to using his sword combination, leaving her scream in pain.

"You bastard! I'll Kill You!" She scream with anger as the lower part revealed to be a mouth as Virgil raised his arm.

"Ruinga" He fired his dark sphere at the heart which happen to be inside of the monstrous mouth, leaving Vizer screamed in pain.

"Cosmic Arts" Virgil then charged at her by using his sword combo and ended with Ruinga. The members of Occult Research Club were surprised at Virgil while Rias was pretty upset about his actions.

Virgil used his paradigm to switch commando to ravager.

"Thundaga: Arc Lightning" Virgil unleashed his lightning to struck at Vizer, leaving her writhe in pain and collapsed down to the ground. He finished her off with a bullet to the head, leaving her dead.

When he put his gunblade back to his holster, Rias walked towards him with stern look.

"What were you thinking? You should've wait for my-"

"Save it!" Virgil interrupts. "Let me tell you several things straight. I'm not your peerage member and I don't follow orders from you, but if you want to lecture Issei about Evil Pieces, be my guest. Also, you need to realize that this Stray Devil you guys called it was resisting an order and won't take your warning for granted which is why I do it by force which it's necessary."

That got Rias shocked about what Virgil have said as he continues.

"Let me give you some advice, Rias. Action speaks louder than words." Virgil advised her. "Unless you want to get yourself killed by that monster."

"Hey, what make you think you can talk to her that way?!" Issei shouted.

Virgil stayed silent as he walked away while looking at Issei.

"What makes you think that you know about me?" Virgil countered. "Your just a rank amateur who knows nothing about fighting nor having experience."

Issei couldn't help but groaned which Virgil was right about it. Even though, all Issei ever did was being a mass pervert. Virgil turned his head to Rias.

"And you, your just nothing but a spoiled little girl who always think that things will go your way." Virgil said. "Well let me tell you this, not everything goes your way."

That got Rias and her peerage shocked as Virgil leaves the abandoned structure without looking at them. Rias clenched her fist while bit her bottom lip with anger.

"This isn't over Virgil!" Rias muttered with anger.

That's it for the 5th chapter.
