These were my two entries for the A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words Holiday (micro) Edition2 (2021). The limit for this was 50 words. Since they are so small, I am posting them together. The stories probably make more sense it you can see the related pictures on which they were based, which can be found on the A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words FB group.

Entry 1: My Angel

This story received the Ball Drop Award (for NYE stories).

Dad,

At midnight the final year I've had with you in it ends. But I know you sent me an angel. I met a man who reminds me of you in all his quiet and calming ways. His name is Edward. You'd like him. Thank you.

I miss you,

Bella

Entry 2: Snow Sculpture

This is text conversation between Seth and Leah. The picture was a snow sculpture of 3 wolves surrounding a guy on the ground.

S: Seriously, Leah?

L: What up, bro?

S: The Cullens graciously invite us to join in their annual Christmas Day snow carving competition & you carve the Pack killing a vampire? Please tell me it's not one of the Cullens!

L: Calm down, Seth. It's not a Cullen...it's a Volturi!
