This is the 25th chapter of the crossover story. I don't own the series of High School DxD or the video game of Final Fantasy 13.
No flame reviews, seriously it's a bad rep and I have no tolerance whatsoever.
Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club Room
Yesterday, Sirzechs told Virgil about the other Bishop that he was never told which it was kept in secrets for a good reason. However, he told his family about the Bishop which they thought that Asia was the only one, but it doesn't seem to be the case when Lightning told her adopted son that she, Snow, and Hope would be heading back in Gran Pulse for some important arrangement for the peace meeting and where it will be taking place while Cornelius and Griselda were heading back to Heaven for the arrangement as well which they told him that Michael and Gabriel would love to see what Virgil looks like for the past 17 years. Overall, they have a great time at his house since they made a party for everyone since Serah, Virgil, Asia, and Kuroka were cooking for big meals while washing the dishes. Of course, Kuroka told his family that she's been dating with Virgil and they're very happy for the two, but Lightning, Serah, and Griselda were expecting for some grandchildren when the two were married, much to Virgil's dismay. Snow then talks to Virgil privately about his past time when he asked Serah for marriage. He then give the necklace to his nephew and told him that this necklace is called an 'Engagement Necklace', symbolize of love and devotion which Snow used it for proposing Serah for marriage which Virgil did remember about that.
The next day, Lightning, Snow, and Hope were heading back in Gran Pule for the arrangements for the meeting while Cornelius and Griselda were heading to Heaven to inform Michael and Gabriel about the meeting and Virgil. Serah and Nora were also heading back to Gran Pulse since her daughter have missed days in school which she's gonna have to make up for that.
When school is over, Rias and her peerage, Kuroka, Tosca, and Virgil were standing in front of the room that's been sealed for the past time.
"In here?" Issei asked curiously.
"That's where the other Bishop is?" Asia asks.
"Last night, my brother insisted for me to release the seal and allow the Bishop to leave this area." Rias informed them. "I'm not sure why, but the Bishop refuse the offer."
"Your brother told me about your other Bishop which you haven't told us about it." Virgil told her with his serious expression. "Care to explain?"
"He did told you about his gift, correct?" Rias asks with a reminder, earned a nod from him. "Well for a reason is because his gift is dangerous. I was strong enough to control the Bishop so it's been decided that the Bishop is sealed. After the fight between the Cie'th, Riser, and Kokabiel led to reconsider the decision. He stated that there a lot of pieces to work with and now that I'm stronger, he's confident that I'll be controlling the Bishop."
Virgil understands why they kept it inside for a reason only because of that strong power was too strong for her to handle.
"And you're saying that the other Bishop refuse the offer?" Virgil inquired.
"That's right." Rias nods.
"So this one's literally a shut-in?" Issei asked.
"Such a shame. Really, considering the child use to be the largest earner we had." Akeno told him, leaving Issei and Asia shocked.
"With special contracts, the Bishop used a computer to make them." Kiba added seriously.
"Which means the power of this Bishop had must've been fairly dangerous if it needed to be locked away." Xenovia said.
Rias then held out her hand to the door. A magic circle appeared for two seconds before breaking apart and disappeared, along with the chains and caution tapes.
"And the seal has been broken." Koneko said.
"Alright, let's see how this goes." Rias said as she then reached and grabbed the handle, pushed opened the door.
Until, they heard a high-pitched scream that was emitted from inside of the forbidden room just after Rias and the others entered the room. Virgil, Tosca, and Kuroka cringed of that scream when they covered their ears.
"What the hell!?" Issei exclaimed.
"Hello. I'm glad to see you're looking well." Rias said to whoever is inside of the coffin. The curtains were see-through. There was no light, but the one coming in the doorway and dimly lighting. The room was unexpectedly girly which Virgil was expecting something scary and not the other way around. Rias and Akeno were standing in front of a coffin presented in the middle of a room.
"I don't understand what's going on!" The young voice exclaimed from inside of the coffin as Akeno walked towards it.
"The seal has been broken." Akeno gently said with sympathy, kneeling down while grabbing the lid and opened it. "So you're free to come home with us now, okay?"
"No, I don't want to ever leave here! The outside is too scary! And I want to see Virgil!" The person exclaimed, wanted to stay inside of the room. The person is an androgynous-looking male with platinum blonde hair and pinkish-violet eyes, his hair is styled in short bob hair cut with several small fringes over his forehead, and has pointed ears. He wore a Kuoh academy girls uniform with high-knee socks.
"I think this little one mentions you." Kuroka whispered to his ear.
Virgil was a bit confused about that male wanted to see him as Issei spoke.
"What! She's just a little girl and look, she looks a lot like Asia. Does that mean all Bishops have to be pretty blondes or something?" Issei asks with his perverted grin, leaving Virgil sighed with annoyance while Kiba chuckled a little, earned his attention. "Hey, what's so funny?"
"The child is a boy." Rias said with a smile.
For a moment, Issei doubted his ears as he then turned to her.
"Wait, what did you say?" Issei asks.
"I realize he may look like a girl, but he is most definitely a little boy." Rias told him.
Asia and Tosca gasped and Issei shocked with disbelief as Akeno and Kuroka giggled at their response while Virgil finds it disturbing for him wearing a girls uniform.
"As you've noticed, he does like to dress like a girl though." Akeno said with her calm tone.
Rias then walked over to the cross-dresser and hugged him from behind.
"Everyone say hello to Gasper Vladi." Rias told them, introducing a boy to the group. "The other Bishop in me household. He's a first-year student here and before I had the honor of turning him into a Devil, this little guy was actually Half-Human, Half-Vampire."
"What? He's a real vampire?" Asia asked with shock.
"As in a blood-sucker? You're kidding!?" Issei exclaimed with shock and surprised expression, causing Virgil to bonk his head.
"Didn't you hear what Rias have told you?" Virgil rhetorically questions with annoyance. "He's half-human and half-vampire which basically, he's a Dhampir."
Issei then glared at Virgil which the white-haired l'Cie remembered that monster he fought at Gran Pulse which was a vampire, but it happens to be a Vampire Cie'th at Fang and Vanille's former home village in Oerba.
"Well, he's right." Tosca said with agreement. "Dhampir's are well-known to walk in daylight which it's also known as the Daywalker."
Rias let go of the dhampir and back away, turning on the light in the room so they can see the Bishop more clearly.
"But he's not a girl!? What the hell!?" Issei whines. "Oh God why have you forsaken me!?"
"Technically, I think you're the one who forsake." Asia corrects him as Virgil then walk towards him.
"Tell me, why do you want to meet me?" Virgil questions.
"Are you telling me your name is Virgil?" Gasper asks.
"Yes, but the last name has changed into Farron when I was adopted, but my real last name is Quarta." Virgil told him, leaving Gasper gasp with shock. "How do you know about me?"
"A man named Cornelius told me about you which he was sad that you weren't here anymore and wanted to have you back here." Gasper told him.
"Well I'm here now and I met Cornelius which happens to be my father." Virgil told him.
"Yeah, his dad is real hardcore and badass." Issei added. "But I like his last name Farron better than Quarta."
Rias and the others agreed about Virgil's last name which it suits him better. Issei then approached him.
"But we're off the subject, you look way too hot in chicks clothes, dude. And plus if don't go anywhere, who are you dressing for?" Issei questions, leaving Gasper frightened.
"Um-I-for me I guess." Gasper answered, blushed with teary eyes. "I just think these clothes are cuter, that's all."
"Don't pull that adorable bullshit on me!?" Issei exclaimed, collapse down to the ground. "When I first saw you, it was like a dream of two beautiful blonde bomb-shelled Bishops had come true."
"He's said all those things too you know? He's just a boy." Koneko pointed out. Rias then came over and kneeled down next to Issei and Virgil with her hands on her knees, looking softly at Gasper.
"Gasper, why don't you come with us outside now, okay?" Rias asked gently.
"I don't wanna! Please, don't make me!" Gasper refuse, shook his head. Issei then gets upset for the Dhampir not following Rias' orders.
"Come one dude, let's go. You heard the lady." Issei said, grabbed and tried to pulled his arm, but Gasper then screams and suddenly disappeared when the flash of light appeared in front of everyone. Everyone were confused when Issei looked at where the cross-dressed boy was hiding, only to hear Gasper's whimper when they saw him shaking in one corner of the room.
"I'm sorry I made you mad, didn't I!?" Gasper shouts with fear. "Please don't hit me! Please I didn't mean it!"
Asia looked just as shocked as Issei and Xenovia, but Virgil was no stranger for magic which this is new to him.
"Was it just me or did you guys feel something weird too?" Asia asks with her hand on her mouth.
"I did and I'm pretty sure he's behind it." Xenovia answered.
"It looks like the Forbidden Balor View to me." Akeno said, leaving Rias sigh and Kiba chuckle. "Also known as the Evil Eye That Stops The World. It's Gasper's Sacred Gear."
"So it's like my Stop magic?" Virgil questions surprisingly, earned a nod from Koneko.
"When he gets too excited, he can stop whatever he happens to be looking at in that moment for a certain amount of time."
After the left Gasper's room, they then continues to have some serious discussion in the clubroom. Gasper stood before the group as Issei, Asia, and Xenovia sat on the sofa while Kiba, Kuroka, Tosca, and Koneko sat at the other. Virgil lean against the wall as he spoke.
"Was that the reason why he was sealed in the first place?" Virgil asked.
"Unfortunately, Gasper couldn't control his power." Akeno told him. "So Sirzechs decided that he should be sealed away here as a precautionary measure."
"On top of that, his ability seems to grow stronger unconsciously, so there's a distinct possibility it could become a Balance Breaker." Rias added seriously.
"What? Isn't that good?" Issei asked with confusion, leaving Rias sighed. Though Virgil wondered why she seemed troubled about his ability.
Then they heard a muffled whimpering when they looked at Gasper hiding inside of the cardboard box that was right next in the corner of a room.
"I don't like when you guys talk about me like I'm not here!" Gasper shouts. "Why can't you just ignore that I'm alive like normal!"
"How'd he get there?" Asia asked with confusion as Issei got up and walked over to the box.
"Wow man, you're not very good at hiding! Come out." Issei said, kicking silently which it didn't help when Gasper shouts.
"Leave me alone! I'm not hiding, I'd just rather be a Gasper-in-a-box then be around you all!"
Virgil then sighed as he then walk towards the box, opens it which Gasper was about to shout, but noticed that Virgil was here. Virgil then began to pat his head which it calms him down a little. Rias and the others were surprised that Gasper was taking a liking to the white-haired l'Cie since he wanted to see him as Akeno spoke.
"Um, Rias." Akeno called her, earned her attention. "I think it's about time for us to go."
"Yes, you're right." Rias said to her before standing up and looking at everyone. "If you'll excuse us, Akeno and I must leave to go to a meeting about getting ready for the leader's summit. Kiba?"
"Yes, how can I help?" Kiba asks.
"My brother said he wants to know more about your Balance Breaker. I'd like for you to join us, as long as you're free that is." Rias informed him.
"Yes, I'm free." Kiba said, standing up.
"Wonderful, thank you." Rias thanked him, stood up her chair. Then, the magic teleportation circle appeared behind her and her Queen. "Now everyone else, I like you to take over Gasper's training until we get back."
"How are we supposed to do that?" Issei asked.
Kuoh Academy
The first training for Gasper was stamina which Xenovia chased him with Durandal which it didn't help him much since he's screaming and crying for his life. Of course, Virgil, Issei, Asia, Koneko, and Kuroka were just standing on the sideline, watching this whole fiasco.
"Do you call this running!?" Xenovia exclaimed. "If you don't move those legs faster, you'll wind up Durandal's next victim."
"It just looks like she a vampire hunter." Issei comments, watching the Dhampir getting chased.
After she stopped chasing him, Gasper sat down against a tree in a feminine position, looking like he was about to cry again.
"I don't understand why you have to be so mean to me!" Gasper whimpered.
"A healthy mind lives in a healthy body." Xenovia told him, standing in front of Gasper while holding Durandal. "Trust me, you won't think I'm so mean when you're stronger."
She then smirked, feeling proud of herself.
"Well, at least Xenovia looks like she's having a good time." Issei said with a small smile, leaving Virgil sighed.
"Yeah, that's true." Asia agrees. "It seems like she really enjoys yelling at people."
"I can't do this anymore!" Gasper sobbed. "What you say doesn't matter if my legs won't work!"
Koneko then reach into her pocket and pulled something out as she approached the dhampir.
"Gasper." Koneko called him, earned his attention which he noticed that she pulled garlic out of her pocket. "You'll feel better immediately if you eat this."
"No way! You trying to kill me?!" Gasper screamed, jumped out and panicked.
"This is no time to be picky." Koneko said blankly, chasing Gasper around with garlic in her hand which it was strange thing for her to do.
"Koneko seems to be having fun training too." Asia said.
"Who knew she'd ever care enough to tease someone." Issei said.
Virgil then sighed, couldn't stand and watch this anymore which this is too much. He then walked to the two, gently placing his hand on Koneko's shoulder, making the white-haired nekoshou stop and face her.
"Come on Koneko, I think that's enough." Virgil chastised softly, earned a nod from her.
Gasper then fell to the ground and hugged Virgil's ankles with a stream of tears flowing in his eyes.
"Thank you *sniff* for *sniff* saving me *sniff* Virgil!" Gasper sobbed, leaving Virgil in an awkward smile.
"Oh, hey guys. Having fun?" Saji said with a smile when he appeared.
"Saji, what's up?" Issei asked with a smile when he, Kuroka, and Asia turned to him as Saji approached them.
"Heard Rias finally released her dangerous Bishop, so I wanted to check things out." Saji told him before looking at Gasper. After Virgil finished calming the dhampir down, he about to join the group, but Gasper then grabs hold of him, begging him not to leave. The sight of him made Saji happy which they knew that he mistook the dhampir for a girl. "Another pretty blonde?"
"Pretty, but still a dude, man." Issei told him with a dull expression.
Saji then fell to his hands knees, completely dejected and heartbroken.
"A dude! Oh why? Why have I been forsaken so?" Saji asked, crying.
"Yeah right." Issei said with a smirk. "Believe me, I know exactly how you feel, Saji."
"Well." Azazel said with a smirk, leaving Issei gasped when he heard a familiar voice.
They then turned the direction it came from, saw that standing a few feet of him when they noticed Azazel, Kalawarner, and Mittelt were lurking in the bushes.
"Don't tell me the household of the Devil Kings have all come out to play together, because that will be too sweet." Azazel said, leaving Issei glaring at him.
"Do you know who he is?" Asia asks.
"Ah, hello there Devil Boy." Azazel greets when three Fallen Angels comes out of the bushes. "Oops sorry, Red Dragon Emperor. You're looking well."
"Hi Azazel." Issei rhetorically greets with a glare, unleashed his Boosted Gear.
Xenovia had her Durandal ready while Asia then readied her knife when she came out of Issei.
"Whoa, wait a minute, Issei! That's Azazel?" Saji questions shockingly.
"Yeah that's him." Issei answered. "I should know, I've met the douche-nozzle plenty of times."
Saji then draws out his Sacred Gear, leaving Azazel chuckled for a moment. The ones who weren't tensed up was Virgil and Kuroka which they've met him a few times as he spoke.
"So Azazel." Virgil casually said with a smirk. "Mind telling us the real reason why you're here?"
"Man, you're no fun at all." Azazel huffed, leaving Kalawarner and Mittelt giggled of his reaction. "I was dropping by just to pay a visit. Is that holy-devil sword guy here?"
"No, Kiba's not here!" Issei answered with a slight hostility tone. "Word to the wise, better leave him the hell alone."
"Always the feisty one, aren't you? So no holy-sword devil guy, huh? Boring!" Azazel replied, ignoring the hostility.
"You need to calm down Issei." Virgil assured the pervert. "Same goes for you guys. He's the one who gave me permission to kill Kokabiel, remember?"
"He's right. Azazel is not here to start anything." Kuroka added. "He was just dropping by and the meeting will be in for few days, so let's not start this fight."
Rias' peerage and Saji looked at the two with uncertainty before easing up a little.
"Hey you, adorable vampire!" Azazel calling him, causing Gasper to panic but poking his head out from behind.
"Forbidden Balor View, huh? You know, this type of Sacred Gear can wind up extremely dangerous if the users capacity is too low." Azazel said as he then turned to Saji. Saji was scared, but tried to put a brave face. "And let me guess, you've got the Black Dragon Pulse, Absorption Line, right? During practice, you should get that one to connect with a vampire so he can take away all that extra power no one can control. You're welcome in advance."
"Take away power." Saji said, surprised when he heard about his Sacred Gear's ability. "You mean I can do that?"
"Don't tell me you didn't know! Your Sacred Gear has the power of the Evil Black Dragon King. Otherwise known as Prison Dragon, it scatters the power whatever it comes into contact with. Of course, attaching itself to something else for a short period of time is another perk." Azazel explains.
"This thing is more badass than I thought." Saji said with his complex expression and amazement when he look at his Sacred Gear.
"Although, actually, there is a faster and simpler way to go about it." Azazel said, looking at Gasper. "He can drink Red Dragon Emperor's blood."
That got Gasper gasp in fright for some reason.
"Hope you don't mean me! Because I don't do vampire bites!" Issei snarled.
"Don't get mad at me. He's the vampire. Though the blood thing is best, but I'm sure you guys can figure it out." Azazel simply said as he and the two Fallen Angels then began to leave.
"Hold on a sec!" Issei exclaimed, getting Azazel to stop. "I want to know why you hid your real identity when you first contacted me?"
"Oh right." Azazel said, turned over his shoulder to him with his mischievous smile. "That's just kind of my thing."
With that, he, Kalawarner, and Mittelt then left. Leaving them alone when they exchanged glances and were troubled of how to react.
"So he's the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels?" Xenovia asked after lowering her Durandal. "I do not understand him."
Kuoh Academy, Gym
Later that night, they've decided to start with Gasper's training when they all decided to head towards the gymnasium. They came up with the idea by throwing volleyballs at Gasper when they set up a volleyball net, he'll have to use his abilities to stop them in their tracks. Issei was standing up on a small high platform with his volleyball on his hand.
"Here we go." Issei said with his serious expression.
Gasper was wearing a girl's school gym clothes with long black socks.
"Okay, I'm ready." Gasper said with fright with the long tongue of Absorption Line on his head. Saji stood on the opposite side of the net with his Sacred Gear ready.
"Alright, then have at it!" Issei shouts as he then threw the volleyball at him.
However, just when the ball was inches away from hitting Gasper is the face, he screamed and everything went white in a flash. When it was over, Gasper was nowhere to be seen and the ball hit the ground.
"Whoa, did he just disappear?" Saji asks surprisingly.
"That's not how this was supposed to work; his goal was just to stop the ball, but he stopped us too." Issei said, scratching his head.
"Guess who was about to run away." Koneko said, dragging Gasper while walking back.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Gasper cried.
"This training would be fairly difficult for anyone." Xenovia said with troubled look on her face.
"And his power isn't helping much either." Asia added.
"That's because his powers is too much for him to handle." Virgil said before turning his head to Saji. "Saji, do you think you can take away a little more from him?"
"Absolutely." Saji replied confidently. The line of the Sacred Gear started to glow pink as he suck out Gasper's powers, causing the dhampir to moan.
"Awesome, thanks for helping us out man." Issei thanked him.
"Don't worry about it. I mean, hey, I'm the one who's got to learn to use a new power, right?" Saji stated.
"Which that's bring us to question as to why Azazel decides to help the both of you out in a first place." Virgil pointed out. "As far as I know, he his own reason why which I think it's a good reason."
"I guess. And what about that blood thing. Ugh, the whole idea of it just freaks me out." Issei said with disgust.
"Me too! I hate blood so much!" Gasper cried with a scared look on his face.
"You what? How does that work? You're a vampire!" Issei pointed out.
"Dhampir." Virgil corrects him.
"I can't help it! The smell of blood makes me wanna puke! I hate that stuff!" Gasper exclaimed.
"You're like the worst vampire ever." Koneko said with deadpan expression, caused Gasper to drop down and starts crying which it's irritating that would make anyone cover their ears. Both Virgil and Issei knew that training Gasper would prove that it's starting to get harder than it already has.
Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club
The next day since there was no school, the progress of Gasper's training was proven to be difficult since he's not making it easy for them. Despite everything ounce of training for him, they couldn't even get Gasper to control his power. Now after failing so many times, Gasper locked himself in his room and could be heard crying loudly to the point of dying.
"Gasper, please come out." Rias pleaded as she, Virgil, and Issei were standing in front of the bedroom door. "I want you to know I never wanted you here."
But all they got were more crying from Gasper which he still refuses to come out.
"Hey I'm sorry about this, the last I wanted to do is bug you in a middle of you big meeting." Issei apologizes, rubbing the back of his head.
"No don't worry." Rias said. "It means a lot to me that you're working so hard and want the best for him."
"I can't leave! It's too scary out there!" Gasper cried from the other side.
"I feel like we're just making things worse though." Issei said with sad expression.
"If you mind me asking." Virgil said seriously, earned her attention. "Why is Gasper been acting like he's afraid in a first place?"
Rias figured that Virgil would be asking a serious question which he wanted to know about his background.
"Well, to be honest, knowing Gasper's background, there's only so much we can do." Rias said, getting both Issei and Virgil confused.
"How come?" Issei questions.
"Gasper's father is a vampire from a well-known and distinguished family. However, his mother is a mere human. Vampires are even more concern with pedigree than Devils. As a result, Gasper was discriminated against by everyone, including his own family. And sadly, when it came to the human world, he was treated like a monster. Of course, that's all on top of his power to stop time. A power he didn't have the ability to control. He wasn't just feared, he was loathed. A person can't know what happens to them when they've been frozen. Naturally, nobody wants to be near someone with that kind of power." Rias explains.
"I get it now." Virgil said with his somber tone when he heard of Gasper's dark history. "Both Gasper and Asia have a lot in common."
"Yes, they do." Rias nodded. "And like her, we know he would never use that power to do anything bad."
"I wish I couldn't do it." Gasper sobs could be heard, leaving Virgil heartbroken. Gasper's crying no longer heard, but the wails of sorrow was heard. "I wish everyone wouldn't stop. Then they wouldn't be so scared of me. I hate it as much as everyone else. My friends freeze right in front of my face and there's nothing I can do about what I'm making happen."
"What kind of King am I to him?" Rias questions herself with depression.
"Don't say that!" Issei exclaimed seriously, earned their attention. "Listen Rias, I can take care of this. You can count on me!"
"Thank you Issei." Rias thanked him.
"This is so huge! Finally, there's someone younger than me who's a guy and I gotta keep it that way." Issei said with a smile causing Rias to smile.
"I guess that's true. Alright, I'll let you take care of it." Rias said before summoning her magic circle under her feet.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to have a few words with Gasper." Virgil requested.
"Feel free. I'd appreciate any help for Gasper." Rias consented. She then took one more glance at Gasper's room with regretful and concern before disappearing.
With that, Issei then sat down on the floor, glancing at Gasper's room while Virgil then began to give a phone call to Asia to let her know that he and Issei will be staying in the Occult Research Club to help Gasper out.
"All right Gasper, it's on! I'm not moving from this spot until you get your ass outta here!" Issei declared.
When Virgil finished talking Asia on a phone, he then leans against the wall.
"You can count me in on that too." Virgil stated. "Because I have a few things I wanted to talk to you and help you with it."
The two of them heard some shuffling sounds from inside of the room. It would appear that Gasper was approaching the door from the other side. The two boys held their silence, wondering if Gasper would say anything as Issei spoke.
"Hey, are you scared? I mean your Sacred Gear and us for that matter." Issei asked, looking at his hand. "I've got a dragon in me. He's supposed to be a strongest one in a world too. It can be frightening and every time I use that power, I feel like well, like a part of me is turning into something else. It's scary as hell, but I refuse to let fear stop me."
"But, don't you worry about the things you care about most?" Gasper asks. "You might lose them all is because of your power. I don't understand how you keep going without any doubts like it."
"That's because Issei is stubborn." Virgil pointed out. "But those words have kept us going: Face forward, don't let fear stop you, and put your life on the line in any battle. Those were my adopted mothers words that I lived up to. She gave me the shard of a crystal and place it in my heart since when I was a kid and I have to learn how to use those powers through training and hardships. What happens next, I became a l'Cie only because I have a Focus. My Focus is to find friends who'll appreciate my powers and they'll give me strength I need to face foes, no matter how strong they are."
"What do you mean?" Gasper asked.
"What I mean is. Powers isn't something that's physical, destructive, or how it's used, it's the strength to protect those who are important and irreplaceable to protect. No matter how dire situation can be, no matter where I go, I'll always have their back, and I know they have mine as well." Virgil told him. "My friends and my family are my Focus. That's why I became a l'Cie."
Gasper was stunned at Virgil's words which it was something that he never heard of. Virgil have lived up to Lightning's words ever since he was a kid as he then spoke.
"Listen, your Sacred Gear can be troublesome, but I don't think it's a life-threatening category. You can overcome your fears and control issues, you just need to push yourself and strengthen your resolve." Virgil said. "It may not be easy, but you just need to believe in yourself and have confidence."
They noticed that Gasper opened a fraction to reveal himself. His expression was still a little downcast, but no longer crying.
"But, if I'm there though, I'll only bother everyone anyway." Gasper replied sadly.
"You don't bother me, not even a little." Issei told him, leaving Gasper shocked. "You're like our little brother, even though you've been a Devil longer, but what's most important is that you're our friend."
"You mean it?" Gasper asks when he finally opens the door.
"You bet I do." Issei answered. "Help me out. Lend me your power so we can support Rias and I promise if anything scares you, I'll blow that sucker away."
"I don't know." Gasper said.
"What about drinking my blood? You want to see that works?" Issei asks with a smile, leaving Gasper shocked. "What if he's right? If it works, you might be able to control your powers."
"No, it's too scary!" Gasper shook his head. "I don't like drinking blood from living things. It takes everything I've got just to drink blood from transfusions every once in a while. Besides, I'm already terrified of this stupid power. If it's somehow got worse, I don't think I can handle it. It's too much."
"Listen, Virgil's right about one thing you need to believe in yourself." Issei said. "When I first met him, I only thought of him a tool for getting those hot-chicks attention, but he tried to save my ass twice when I was too scared of those Fallen Angels. Though when I got to know him better, he's been a good friend to all of us and to me, but he didn't like Akeno only because of her getting into S&M. Plus, he's been helping us out every step of the way during the Rating Game, fighting against a Stray Devil, Cie'th, and even Kokabiel. He can be a bit harsh and annoyed sometimes because of my perverted antics, Akeno's seduction, and serious during battles."
Gasper was looking at his seniors in awe. He then gave both Issei and Virgil a small smile.
"You were really amazing person, Virgil." Gasper praised him, giving Virgil a small smile.
"Thanks, but I'm not that great." Virgil told him. "Like I said, those words were something that I was once told by my mother and I lived up to her words. I'm not that strong, either. I have to work hard by training and hardships."
"Do you think I can become strong and gain control over my Sacred Gear?" Gasper asked.
"I know so." Virgil replied with encouragement. "You have the power to stop time and that speaks volumes of your potential. Also, you've been talking to us the whole time and your Sacred Gear hasn't triggered."
Gasper widened his eyes, realizing that he's right. Virgil then began to part ways before addressing them.
"I'll leave this in your hands, Issei. Gasper, if you need any help, feel free to ask me when you see me." Virgil said as he then began to walk away.
Kuoh Academy
Virgil was approaching the academy's threshold when a magic circle appeared, followed soon after by the materialization of Sirzechs, Tosca, and Kiba.
"Thank you for time Kiba, Tosca." Sirzechs thanked the two, caught the sight of a white-haired l'Cie. "Ah, what a coincidence. Sorry for troubling you Virgil, but could you spare a few minutes? There's something I wish to speak with you."
"Sure, I'm not busy right now anyway." Virgil replied.
"We'll take our leave now." Kiba announced as he turned to him. "Is anybody still in the old school building, Virgil?"
"Yeah. Both Issei and Gasper are still in there." Virgil informed him. "He's opening up a little and their talking when I left."
Kiba and Tosca give him a nod with appreciation as the two walked away in the direction of the old school building. Virgil returned his attention to Sirzechs.
"What is it you want to talk about?" Virgil inquired.
"Well, it's just the peace meeting between the Three Factions will be taking place tomorrow evening. You and your family have requested to also attend along with your friends due to being part of the recent battle against Kokabiel. I wanted to ask if you'd agree to come and it'll give us a chance to form an alliance with Gran Pulse." Sirzechs explains. "Of course, you can decline if you wish, seeing as you aren't affiliated with any of the factions."
"I'll attend." Virgil told him. "I don't have any plans for tomorrow night. Also, I'd like to see peace between the Three Factions be officially declared."
"Excellent." Sirzechs said with a pleased smile. "I'll see you then."
With that, a magic circle glowed under his feet before he vanished, leaving the white-haired l'Cie alone. Virgil then resumes walking out of the grounds and head to his house.
Town of Kuoh
Virgil was in the middle of the park when he noticed something is wrong and felt multiple enemies are coming which he doesn't recognize any of them. He then noticed a strange purple mist around the area that obscured the trees from his view. His instincts kicked in and readied his gunblade, prepared for the confrontation. He hasn't use his Paradigm Shift yet, but his muscles were tensed and ready to fight.
Three figures were approaching from the fog.
The first figure in the middle is a handsome young man with short black hair and blue eyes. He wore a gakuran and Chinese attire. He carries a spear that has a powerful holy powers.
The second figure on his right is a two-meters tall man with a well-built body and has shoulder-length gray hair. He also wore a gakuran with a Greek-inspired armor.
The third and final figure on his left is a beautiful young foreign woman with blonde hair and sky blue eyes. She wore a female gakuran with armor worn on top of it.
"Greetings, Virgil Farron." He greets with a smirk. "My name is Cao Cao, a descendant of the original hero. This is Heracles, a descendant of the original, and this is Jeanne, a descendant of Joan of Arc."
"Yeah real cute and all, but cut the crap and tell me who you are and how do know me?" Virgil questions, not letting his guard down. "Also, what do you want?"
"You're quite observant as well as blunt." Cao Cao said. "We saw you fight during the recent battles between those monsters and Kokabiel. It was quite astonishing, watching a human overpower a Cadre-Class Fallen Angel. I'd like to extend an invitation to you to join the Hero Faction."
"Never heard of them." Virgil inquired.
"You see, we're a group of organization called Khaos Brigade that was led by the Infinity Dragon, Ophis." Cao Cao explains. "Hero Faction were the group that consisted of Humans and all members were either wielders of Sacred Gears, Holy Sword, Demon Sword, or Longinus. And descendants of Legendary Heroes."
"You're telling me that I should join the 'Ophis' character?" Virgil questions, raised his eyebrow.
"Oh no, you see, Ophis is a leader of the Khaos Brigade and a figurehead. You don't necessarily need to follow her." Cao Cao assured, misplaced Virgil's question. "We just made a deal with her for killing the Great Red and she let us do whatever we please. There are other factions within the Khaos Brigade, but we're the only ones that have a goal to defeat evil beings such as Devils, Fallen Angels, Angels, and any other supernatural beings."
Virgil then began to scowl at him. Although, what he learned from him was that Hero Faction wanted to wipeout the Three Factions, including his family, but he needs some information about the Khaos Brigade, and the Infinity Dragon Ophis and Great Red.
"You're wasting time." Virgil declared. "I have no intention of joining you clowns or any faction of Khaos Brigade. You're just a group of fools that only used this 'Ophis' whatever that name as an excuse and I refuse to be part of something foolish."
"I see. It seems I was mistaken about you." Cao Cao said with his somber tone. "And here I thought that you'd see this as for the good of humanity. It looks like we'll to use force."
Virgil then used his paradigm to activate commando as he then drew his gunblade.
Heracles charge him first, but Virgil manage to side-stepped out of the way and harshly throw him with the swing of his arm. Cao Cao rushed in with a few jabs and slashes, but Fang have manage to block his attacks just in time to help him while Vanille rushed in to use her Fire magic to fire as Heracles. Noel then rushed after the muscular man with his Flame Fossil.
"Well, well, well, and here I thought we're invited for the party." Fang said with a smirk. "Didn't mean to crash in."
With that, she pushed Cao Cao with enough force, making him take a few steps back.
And the fight begins.
That's it for the 25th chapter. Sorry about the delay.
