Author's note I own nothing but the plot. Just as a note, I'm trying to finish this story as fast as possible, meaning that the chapters will be longer and only subdivide bylines when the scenes change. I don't have the patience to deal with jackasses making harassment campaigns. I said I would finish it this year, and I will. That includes cutting planned plotlines I originally had, cute moments I wanted to write, and the world adjusting to the new status quo, but I just want to finish this and never think about the toxic fans here ever again. Thanks to those who were kind, and I wish I could give you the story I envisioned! To the assholes, thanks for making writing this a chore instead of something fun. Once this story is completed, I will finish all my currents on this site and leave. It's just too toxic here for me. And I've been to better places than this.
January 1, 1989, 6 am, N.Y.C., upper Manhattan.
They woke up like they had been under the Hudson for several hours and gotten their first breath. And for the younger of the two, that would be closer to the truth than a lie. Katherine immediately digging out the journal to contact the other and put their fears at ease.
The room looked like the quintessential room of two young preteens since their birthdays were in November. Posters on the walls of famous bands and actors on the walls. The chore wheel against the door of their room.
"Alright, first things first, little sister," Katherine said, hands on her hips, a giant smile on her face?
"I'm only two-minute younger than you, Kat," Lola said with a skeptical tilt of the head.
"Mhmm, I'm still the oldest. We need to get a move on right now", taking her trusty bag out pulling out what would be considered perfect replicas of themselves. Blood is linked to behave just like and treat situations like we do.
She took out the custom wands in the back, thanking her lucky stars that she put an extendable charm on it, passing Lola her wand as we both tapped our golem doppelgangers.
"Remember! Be good girls and fill us in at night about everything?"
They nodded and smiled, taking our place in the beds going to sleep.
"Come here. We need to take the extended-release aging potion!" Creating a privacy screen, putting her pajamas in the corner, taking the potion, knowing that she would rip and break her clothes as she took the potion. Pulling out the outfit that she had prepared and saved herself the trouble for now. Knowing she would also be planning with the goblins today on top of everything else. She needed a place to sleep tonight neither she nor her sister was not sleeping in a tent tonight.
"hold your horses. I needed to let them know we will be unable to write them for the next three days, you said, right? That's the one that lasts three weeks in your system, right?"
"Yup, for both questions."
"We need to go to the magic council office in Baychester right now. It's early, and people will be more or less hungover so we can get them to do what we need with little to no arguing on their side; then we might need to avoid taking a plane point to get there faster we might need to do something that might be a bit frown upon."
"Sis, what are you thinking?" Kathi shook her mind going a mile a minute but knowing taking a plane while one of the more accessible options for being inconspicuous would take a lot of espionage work and dodging and hiding in plain sight.
"Taking a plane would take a while; we need to get approval and have them mail the tickets; the whole process would take two weeks, and we might not be the best option. We can take the route Avalon told us we could take to speed up the process."
"God, we have to pull a doctor who just to get to England?! Pulling our weight around and pulling rank seriously! Why can't this be easy?" Lola looked like she wanted to pull hair out, and Kat seeing the need for levity, decided she needed to, considering how much they would need to do in one day.
"Because it's 1989, not 2010, and I can't just make a last-minute flight on my cellphone."
"No matter how casually you talk about the future, the less I believe it," Lola said thought she believed her still didn't make what she was saying more fantastical than what people wanted to dream of
"Considering cellphones that don't look like briefcases? And the death of blockbuster it's so awesome. I got my dance. ready for when it happens no matter what happens, this is a problem."
"I just can't imagine it," Lola said with a smile, knowing her outwardly to the world, stoic sister would do something so childish, she vehemently hates blockbuster calling them thieves of the highest caliber for their late fees and lack of stock options.
"Well, get used to it; the future is both a wondrous and terrible place."
"Now, you just sound like some wise old sage instead of a nine-year-old," Lola said with a roll of her eyes.
"Who says I'm not Lola?" She said with a raised eyebrow?
"I did!"
"Yeah, huh, sure" Kat patted Lola on the head; it would be considering patronizing from anyone else, but she knew they would settle this later how would be up to them.
"Now, take the aging potion and get your wand ready. we need to go."
She took no time at all to get behind the privacy screen, knowing time was minimal and every moment wasted could possibly derail the plan in some way. Lola started to get undressed behind the privacy screen while digging through the bag to ensure that everything was encased.
"God, these clothes are so ugly." Lola looked at her now twenty-five-year-old dressed in the appropriate attire, and she looked like she wanted to gag; personally, Katherine was right behind her on that front. These weren't meant to be flattering but give the impression that they are who they say they are. Considering what they needed to do, she also had very well stuffed coats for new York's and England rather oppressive winter storms, as well as snow boots that were laced and ready.
"Yeah, but they're what we're stuck with. Can't wait for the future." Kat said they can't wait to burn these suits, especially the shoulder pads; they were so unflattering, but at the moment, they were the height of business fashion, and there is nothing they can do about it.
Finally, we can get this show on the road we got a timetable to keep! Kat shows that she was already ready to go by having the carpet out and read as Lola secured their equipment and everything they brought with them before leaving anything behind would cause too many problems.
"Yeah, yeah, I know no delays, no screwups," Lola said in that tone of voice of a long annoyed kid being told not to touch something at the store. Though the smile on her face made her sister reflect it in return
"Get on the carpet we can get to Baychester before the rush of the worker drones; remember, they are dealing with the rat king infestation and the rise of hidebehinds all over the eastern seaboard.
"The reality is we're going to have to make sure that we have enough money to have supplies for the next two weeks. Also, we're going to have to be the ones to talk to the goblins about giving Harry Potter early access to his bank account before old whiskers over there decides to intervene with everything that's going on, the hope is that if we do this fast enough, he will be pulled from his position as headmaster.
That's not considering that we are telling Barty to give up the goods, and as leniency, all he has to do is love his son and actually raise him and care for him. His actions will balance the scales out.
"Such a stocked day. Let's get cracking." Both of them looked and had been aged up to be twenty-five dressed to impress wearing professional work outfits dressed in two royal blue and red pants suits with shoulder pad jackets.
Taking their spots on the carpet knowing that they have to get going right now while getting is good. Wasting no time going through the interdimensional magic highway zipping in and out, grateful that the location wasn't too far away so dipping in and out wouldn't cause a bit of a slight dizzy sensation.
January 1, 1989, 6:25 am N.Y.C. Baychester Bronx.
Ending up at the lobby of the magic council office. Where half the people walking the same path as them. Kat rolling up the carpet and put it away within the bag know they would need it later and not let the valet get ahold of it. Who work there look dead on their feet or completely hungover? The security guard was asleep at his desk.
"You, pencil neck!" She said in a rather loud and grating.
"What, what, what?" He looked up, still slurring his words wiping the drool off his chin, his eyes really taking in the two women in front of him.
"Yeah, we're here to go to level seven," pulling out their identification as a member of the Avalonian specialist.
"Right this way, madams, I'll buzz them and let them know you are here to see them." The guard who would be considered nondescript if it wasn't the giant furry unibrow that nearly covered his eyes.
The guard was looking at them with rather appreciative looks. Opening the panel to take us to the seventh floor, trying to make small talk, but neither of us was taking the bait.
Compared to the lobby and the elevator on opening the doors, this floor looked like a madhouse. With one many screaming shit at the top of their lungs
"Good luck, ladies." He said as he took the elevator down.
At least there are papers strewn all over the ground like the current depiction of wall street.
Noticing there were signs for different departments handling different issues. International trade. Immigration and petitions. Foreign affairs, embassy communications.
Another guy with a more enormous stack of papers ran but looking just as nervous as the first, but not paying them any attention.
Katherine put her fingers in her mouth and let a high pitch whistle to get the attention of the hurried and panicked bureaucrats.
Making the ones suffering from a hangover wail at the unexpected noise and the ones who were just too tired to be an alive groan.
"Now that I got your attention, can one of you gentlemen; take my colleague and me to the nearest floo portal to talk to the Avalonian diplomats? We are on a bit of a time crunch."
"Who are you to make demands?"
"Look," Lola pulled out her i.d. as well as documentation stating they are specialist knights of Avalon. Which made many of the office drones back away and a few to escort to the floo portal. Considering how quickly they can get fired for denying them access.
Floo portals were a bit more convenient as they are only meant for conversation, and you couldn't use them to leave or go to the place you are communicating with. The room was large, with fifty countries marked with active portals.
"Sorry for the long walk to floor portals; most of our delegates and diplomats are having an emergency conference at the M.C.U.S.A. over the next week; we might have been able to know about your arrival and got you in contact with Avalon more promptly. Know that it is an honor to have specialist knights gracing our office, much less visiting the country." They said with a lot of simpering murmuring and language as they took us to the Avalon portal that has a bit of room compared to the others.
"We need privacy; please clear the room and hall?" Lola said using the sweetest voice most of them had ever heard, but Kat herself was the queen of the honey trap and was a trap and mentally snickered the twin telepathy, making them both do not give away what they actually felt in the moment
"Ma'am that…" I can already tell they wanted to say to them that was against protocol but considering I was already behind schedule, we are in no mood to be cute and placating, considering we are by all high standard authorities than they are.
"Did I stutter? Leave us." Katherine's voice, mannerism, and behavior taking on the coldest tone she could muster and calculated done to the eye cutting glance. Knowing from past experience that women in a room of men are ignored, the more bubbly and pleasant they seem.
All the people that had followed ran as if a shot rang out.
Pulling out the journal knowing that having Sam there and waiting for his part to play would help immensely if the letter and code phrase doesn't. Placing the journal for privately messaging Sam to not alert or intentionally worry Hermione or Harry about what they are doing. Since most of this was to expedite the process.
Sam, can you please go into the diplomats' conference room make sure the closet connection point.
Right. I already have the proof of our claims; it took an hour, but I did it. You are expected, ladies.
"well, at least we don't go to worry about Sam; in the meantime, this should be smooth sailing," Lola said, putting her head, and I put my head next to hers.
"Margarite Papillion Avalonian diplomacy office," they spoke together in unison said, knowing there are half a dozen delegates who as representatives of the crown and Margarite is the one for France.
"hello there, Margarite." Both of them said to their colleague they both knew she didn't know who they were before going back in time; they met her when they were eleven and everyone else within the Avalonian government as a part of getting used to their role within the guard and their training.
"Hello, young Women I've never met before. who's acting a bit too familiar with me for being strangers."
"Look, I know it's your break, so you are in no mood for nonsense. I don't blame you, and I know that you have a lot to work on since you have new edicts that need to be settled. As well as deal with the three-way trade disputes from France, Belgium, and Avalon, which is cutting into that. But this is about getting Britain back under the heel." Lola was not in the mood to waste more time, and being direct is precisely what I wanted.
"I have no doubt the leader of the royal guard has or is on his way to you at this moment. Come into the room, and the proof will be given to you; once that is done, we need a permit for the next carpet heading to Paris so we can take the train to London to start the plan." I finished the sentence she left hanging, knowing that I would be the final nail in the coffin and have to give the harshest truth.
"Say I believe your insane ramblings." Margarite was an animated woman, more so than either of them could ever remember her being. She was lively and cheeky more. She had the guile you expect of someone who had to talk people down and get them to negotiate.
"Let's say I believe it as gospel and everything, and don't just leave the two of you here. prove to me that you are who you say you are."
"Selene Lovegood, nee Papillion, is endangered of being discovered as an agent of Avalon in six months and will be murdered in front of her only daughter next year, and the whole thing is covered up. Do you believe us now?"
"Miss Papillion? Is that our specialist knight guard on the floo portal?" The authoritative and familiar voice of Sam's father. Dozens of feet could be heard coming behind Miss Papillion. Like a choir of angels, Sam, we can always count on you.
The look on Margarite's face was silence and shocked, and horror; at no point did she think that her dear cousin was in danger; she still grieving her seven years in the future and acted explicitly told them both to save her on top of everything else that's what we had planned. we knew that poking that point of fact would at least get her to pay attention; in the end, we are strangers to her; she does not know who we are, and the longer we keep her attention
"Please give them what they need to do their jobs? They are going to get Britain back to under control. Open the gates considering they are causing the issues right now between Denmark's and Greenland and the problems with the dragon reserves in northern France that has been pushing these dispute to let's not waste more of their time.
Sorry to both young ladies for dismissing your urgency, and if you can save my dear cousin, I would be most grateful for that matter.
Don't worry, we plan on sending her and her family on an extended expedition all-expense-paid though I doubt she'll want it.
That sounds like Selene, but I'll be convincing on my end too. as she passed the two permits
Good luck, you two.
January 1, 1989, 6:45 am N.Y.C. Baychester Bronx.
Walking out and to the men who had been waiting near the front doors, we came in.
Alright, here's the letter giving us amnesty to travel on our personal carpet to the magical consulate in France to begin our mission; thank you so much for letting us use the floo portal, and we'll report how well and accommodating the department has been to King Marco personally. Next month, there should be something on the international mages news network, and I will cite your involvement.
Most of the ones who had seemed the most unenthused were puffing up like peacocks as expected. Grateful, they got on the carpeting, already knowing the path making sure they had everything they needed on hand, praying their mother and father don't notice there is any difference in them or the whole plan will fall apart. I can foresee their worry and wondering, but it's mostly wondering what's wrong and whether they are at fault for the next year, but it's nothing we can genuinely do.
Taking the somewhat scenic route allow ourselves to the orient because the farther the carpet travel, the more likely you can tiny head rush the cerulean blue of the magic highway, it's worth taking the extra five minutes to Paris knowing we can't take the carpet to London if we don't want to get caught or really hurt by the warding.
January 1, 1989, 1:30 pm, Paris France
Popping out of the consulate with the French ministry of magic which, unlike the one we just left, was well organized and clean and didn't look like the papers exploded. Which is already a step up. Stepping out, a few people were walking out with their briefcases.
"Are you Katherine and Lola Zacharia? We have a letter for both of you. And a package for the both of you.
Quickly skimming the letter, grateful that Margarite is fast when she knows things are of the essence. A deed of land ownership for us to give to the goblins and this black card from diplomat Papillion. She states, don't go crazy but have a central base and secure your superior's safety. And not to open the box and use what's inside until they are in Gringotts proper. Rolling their eyes know that Selene is the lynchpin since she was initially able to get Crouch and the memories through back channels and unsuspecting visitors acting as an unofficial agent to Avalon getting critical information back.
Thanking the people for their assistance and grabbing one of the fresh croissants in the basket in the corner, they went to the Le Magique Boulevard in Paris as they need to at least try to take to use some of the connections we had though they knew they couldn't grant them a passage to England undetected and they hand to do that on the Eurostar and time is running short. But they could give them a copy of the key and some money from the account.
January 1, 1989, 1:40pm, Le Magique Boulevard, Gringotts, Paris, France
Neither of them had the time or the energy to really absorb or gawk at the sights of the French bistros that litter the French magical district or the kids playing with toy wands or the fact that the French version of the Knight Bus, which was a series of magic Lincolns that can fly to avoid traffic. A few of the drivers whistling as they walked, and they both vehemently ignored them as they passed, not having time to lecture the morons, much less give them the attention they are desperately craving.
The Gringotts building stood as a testament to nearly unchanged structure worldwide, except the French one had goblins standing outside as sentry for any would-be thieves. As well as the goblin can be found walking around the magical district the same as any other magical citizen.
Showing their identification to the guards out front. Realizing their importance, escorted them inside the building calling out to the nearest available teller, who got into a bank manager very quickly once both of them explained the situation that they had at hand. Well, the letter is essential; they still needed the key to open the place up. Quickly making our proper goblin greetings to the bank manager in question that we were assigned to us got straight to work. Is an eternal explanation of everything.
"Ladies Zacharia? The deed is for one particular property. A ten-bedroom mansion with just about everything well furnished with a potions lab and stocked garden and technically unregistered to the magical British government since the house stood as the third build by Avalon. It was a gift; I believe Merlin lived there before the attempted coup. Interested? I like it already.
"Wait, how is it unregistered, but you're picking it up?"
"You have the deed for the land. The land needs work renovation and restoration we can do so for a favor. First priority trading with your higher-ups. We heard on the wind there might be the rise of venison, squab, and calamari."
"I'll put in a good word, so the house became unplotable?"
"Apparently, the house is pretty aware, and It felt that island is becoming dark or something around those principles. Wizard magic was always outside our preview but considering none of my kind can leave the three-nations within Britain's immanent domain because of their warding, I wish for you to end this quickly." It'll be awkward living there for the next two years. But it beats a tent. "The card is real, right? It works like a debit card within the walls of Gringotts. Diagonally won't take it their behind to know how. Otherwise, England proper will treat it like any other debit.' "Thank you, Axegrinder? Can I ask if the potter heir account had the supposed caretakers embezzling and siphoning from it to other accounts? You would investigate the matter, correct?
"Yes, as long the potter heir is present, it would be all the go-ahead needed. To start the litigation and the proceedings, all who are guilty will face justice in the mines. To steal from Gringotts in any capacity is worthy of the punishment you brought on to yourself."
Alright, now we got a house to restore and boy to pick up! Then the planning can begin! Where the thoughts in both girls' heads.
January 1, 1989, 4pm, Faversham at the Pendragon's Cove, Wyvern Estate
Considering how far the deed was from central London, we had to use a scrying crystal and broom they had on hand to find the place with a few close calls but luckily that confusion booster the bought made things easier as most people just we whatever is the most annoying bird they could see at the moment in flight. The crystal was all over the place until we got as close as we could to Faversham, then it tugged harder towards the coast, both of seeing a shimmer and assuming the deed to the land was a lot more than a house like we were told. Pulling out the key from the pocket and the wards dropped, and the eyes of Lola popped, and Kat seemed to smile.
"Jesus, this place is a mess!" The cabinets shook, and the foundation tumbled! "Touchy, okay! I never thought I would use this. I made it as a joke!"
In her hands was the oddest umbrella reminiscent of a rather famous one. Complete with the bird head. Covered in runes, she put in both hands and tapped the grounds twice as the house seemed to clean itself an army brooms, feather dusters, and carpenters and painters started moving on their own. Quickly fixing fixed the place and did the manual labor appearing to create what was essential. Katherine sunk into the new couch pulled out from the bag as every action was using her magic to create, and she pulled a tv knowing she wouldn't be able to watch wizard access channels or watch MTV just watching mindless movies as Katherine is being drained like battery Lola realizing that their stuff new the need to enlist an elf to get it done. That or replica that can do it. Which Lola made taking a strand of her hair a drop her blood and block of would look at herself.
You know you're tasks for the day, handing her a purse with cash the debit. Make sure the food Is delivered behind you and the beds are better. Make sure the food is delivered behind you, and the beds are better.
The minute Katherine was alone, she sped the process up of repairing the home. Knowing It would drain her faster, she pulled a stamina potion. It wouldn't be as good as sleep, but It's good enough. She put on black suit shades, her potion grenade belt, and her secret wand holster. She knew her sister and Sam would be mad at her going alone, but time Is of the essence. Wasting a day when they can be moving things along Is just wasteful. Taking a Mystified and voice-distorting potion. As well as preparing herself for stunning the elf the minute she broke the wards, now was the best time strike! Barty Is at work, and the only person guarding his son Is an elf.
Leaving a note knowing Lola would be past Harry wanted to see it, but taking all of them would just give Crouch an opportunity to get to drop on them, and they don't need to give him a chance for that. Had already run the scenarios a thousand times through thousands of visions, and this is one of three possibilities that actually works out, and she was going.
Not willing to waste another minute, she does operate from within the home; one of the few pluses is that since this house is unplottable and not registered anywhere within the British government working and out of, the place is undetected and can't be traced. And because they did not register with the ministry of magic here, any action and reaction that; they do within Britain right now will be unregistered while the international community is picking up on their efforts, at least in a delayed news kind of way. Right now, they're acting as insurgents secretly working behind the scenes and getting everything done.
Knowing tomorrow, they still had like sixty things they needed to do, included but were not limited to pulling out some of the remedies that they had from Avalon to sway the two more decisive factors about going along with everything that's supposed to happen. As well as securing and safeguarding Selene Lovegood and her family, so they're not attacked by dissenters of what is eventually the reinstated government.
Taking the present that Margarite gave them both as pulling out the sands of times potions and the time turners. Knowing that she can only go so far since she already sent her soul back seven years in the past. If she's tries for too much, she might disappear altogether. That didn't mean she couldn't knock two things off the to-do list early.
January 1, 1989, 4:30pm On The Way To Number 4 Privet Drive
Lola appeared dressed professionally while wearing a warm and stylish coat, earmuffs, scarf, and mittens. As she walked up the drive of number, they notice me not wards in hand. Knowing they would have a tiny window to apparate out of the Dursley's home before Dumbledore dogs appear but only if she messed up with Kat it was harder for her to feel confident of success rarely being without twin on missions
Her mind mentally preparing for what she may see. Considering it's still in the throes of a winter break, here's hoping and she doesn't have to knock some heads on the way out. She was realistically already mentally preparing to have to beat the ever-loving snot out of Harry's current bastard guardians. Almost wishing that Katherine could have come herself. As she came closer toward number four, she noticed Harry shoveling snow on the sidewalk.
"Aren't you Harry Potter?" She said aloud, making Harry jump and turn around.
If Lola wasn't prepared to knock some heads, she was now. The underfed and obviously malnourished little boy in front of her was almost a reminder of the shrimpy teenager she met. But it was pretty apparent from his relatively short gait the way she could practically see his ribs under his shirt and the way his eyes were kind of sunk in that he was the example of financial embezzlement.
"Lola, is that you?"
"Where is Kat? Aren't you two a set? Never seen either of you separated since we've met?"
"Don't worry about Kat; she's fine. Let's go get your things."
Rolling out the noticing does not charm right on one of the corner windows number four, breaking the window and the ward taking place as she took both herself and Harry right into the building.
"What are you doing? You're going to get us killed! We're not dealing with reasonable people here!"
"That's fine. Am I not a witch or not? Don't worry about them. I got this. You'd think you would have more faith in me since we got you out the first time." Harry, for his part, looked chastised.
"Harry, be a dear, put these on?" She passed a small gas mask to herself and to Harry after being chastised, knew better than to argue with the woman trying to save his life and future.
It was an annoyed Lola that kicked the front door down. "KNOCK, KNOCK!" She bellowed at the top of her lungs.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING AT OUR HOME? I SHOULD CALL THE AUTHORITIES; YOUR TRESPASSING!" Vernon bellows, wasting no time to waddle on his stubby legs up the stairs to go get his shotgun. Lola smirk "that's fine," very quickly, and she threw down what looked like a potion grenade onto the ground stated three thuds happened within the building, the potions mess dispersing very quickly, leaving clear air in its place?
"What did you do?"
"Don't worry, they'll just be knocked out for the next few weeks, similar to a coma; that's why I've already called E.M.S. They should show up twenty minutes after we leave. That lets them know that they are in a state of needing medical attention. Also, they give them evidence that they were mistreating a child within their home, and I've already put ourselves down as the guardians for at least a temporary state; we have a fake house for that, don't worry."
"Be honest between you and me; you want to take the computer, don't you?"
It was a very well snuggled Harry who walked out of number four with the Dursleys, well really, Dudley's a computer and gaming system. As well as all the games he owned currently as well as the abandoned books that he didn't want almost compensation for every moment that he had to sit and watch them give Dudley all the things that he didn't get to do remember all the times that he suffered and was crying and wishing that he could be treated as an ordinary little boy and never got that chance. Grateful to never call this place home again.
Somewhere in Scotland, a bunch of random do-dads is melting from that internal statement.
January 1, 1989, 9 Am Enroute To Hufflepuff's Den, In The City Of Bath
Kat rolled her shoulder; she felt guilty but not enough to deter her from the goal ahead of her. As well as the fact that there was only so much she could do, the house is actively repairing, cleaning itself now. As well as the fact it's being retrofitted for modern living, piping, and plumbing. Using the ley lines for the power but the water from the cities nearby. Filtering the ocean water so that no one notices the drain or wondering where the water is going. Pendragon cove was at one point a fully functioning magical village the likes of Godric hallow, but the issue became that when Merlin left, and lack of Avalon presence as the official governing body caused many of the farming and fishing villages to be closed permanently as a safeguard, they created in the event they pulled something like they have. But the town wasn't completely empty, with the houses standing tall. Apparently, a contingent of freed elves lived her and fed off the ambient leylines magic to survive. At seeing her, most if not all of them started to grovel at her feet, calling her the blessed one. She politely told them that they could stay, but that her sister who would come later and many other people would come and that Avalon would free them of their bondage, but at the moment, they need a safe shelter that can sustain them, and many people and having a shower and cable was. That's how half a dozen elves learning about plumbing, electrical and wiring, and home repair in less than twenty-five minutes and got to work on the whole town. That to keep themselves hidden from any visitors Or residents and even them until I call for you. She didn't want them hurt for doing the task she set out.
Grateful for being such an accurate seer, she had everything she would need for the rest of the day, especially after stopping quickly at Diagon alley and buying an owl without anyone noticing that she was even there. The beauty of spell work and planning ahead. A Tawny Fish Owl she named Atlas for his serious demeanor. Though she saw Hedwig, a young fledgling, promised to come back for her tomorrow morning. Atlas, who nuzzled her the bond taking effect quickly and sent him with a letter to Margarite Papillion seeking her help and letting her know the plan is well underway and to expect a multilinguist and baby seeking asylum from Britain. Learning the letter would get there a little after twelve in the afternoon. Grateful she spelled the letter in case it was stolen midflight or ends up in the wrong hands, something that happens in England since all letters in and out of the country are heavily monitored. And the spell she used was something Atlantean and
As she dodges someone high flying a kite and avoiding a low flying plane, she finally descended on Hufflepuff's den, a magical community within the City Of Bath that isn't necessarily well-spoken about cause it's known for having a tight-knit of her blood who lived there not to say that they are blood purist. Still, they don't have the best opinion of muggles considered even though they live right near them. Actually, the opposite of what is stereotypically expected of British magical as it is anywhere from one hundred and two hundred families living near and around one another. Most of them working families most of them were homeschooled. Most couldn't afford to go to Hogwarts as the fees were too high; the other half felt they could afford to get their children a suitable tutor to get them ready for their O.w.l and or N.E. .
Seeing homeschooling and private tutors as a more inexpensive option. Passing the gate into the magical suburbs, small children played tag. Mothers seemed to watch and make sure they don't do anything dangerous. A few others playing on toy brooms to the exasperation of their mother. As well as a farmer's market with a man trying to entice the mothers into buying his fresh fish grateful booster on my broom more than anything. As she turned left as the giant palatial ancestral estate of the Crouch family. The richest and oldest family in Hufflepuff's den. Stopping her broom in a cluster of trees using a spell to deactivate the wards to ignore her presence. As notice me not charm on herself. Sauntering to the front of the door of the estate opening it like she owns the place, Winky came out and knew I was there "to do harm to her master," freezing her in tracks and knocking her out for the day walking over to the hidden Barty junior placing the strongest sleeping spell she knew and the strongest binding curse she knew. Knowing that Barty senior wouldn't be back in until two, at least until I did this, send a letter to Barty to get him out of here and quickly using his owl, who almost wanted to peck at her for a minor second. Before thinking better of it. The horned owl having more self-preservation than half of the magical citizens of Britain. Taking the letter and tying it to their claws. Please send this as quickly as possible."
The owl nodded and quickly took a flight to his master while she fixed her face and used junior sleeping body on a footstool sitting in his favorite chair, looking like she owns the place while sipping a cup of tea. Ten minutes later, a fuming Barty senior apparate right into her trap. He was frozen stiff like a statue, just like she planned and all he could do was talk to struggle was pointless.
"What do you want!"
"What I want is the map of the ward stones sealing the island."
"The map?"
"Yes, Avalon sent me I would think the house of Crouch would remember their ancestral position within the rightful governing body; you give me the map, and I give you a clean slate, and I can actually help; you fulfill your wife's dying wish."
"This potion in my hand can turn your blood purist son into an infant, purify his tainted soul and rid him of every bad and good memory he's ever had a completely fresh start," Katherine said with a shrewd smile on her face.
"Just like that?!" Crouch, for his part, didn't want to believe it would be that easy.
"The ward stones are a giant problem; they are willing to do anything to take them down, even amnesty for past crimes of a father and son. I have a contact in France in the meantime that can keep you protected, safe and healthy since illegally leaving the island on your side can make the citizens very sick or cause nasty side effects... The only stipulation is to remember to love and give attention to your son, or he will end up looking for familial love wherever it is offered regardless of the horrible things he has to do to attain it."
"I usually would ask more questions, but a stranger sitting in my living room using my death eater son as a footrest blackmailing me into giving her information that could cause the collapse of the current government. "
"But at the same time, if you wanted to turn me in, you would have called the Aurors. To pick up my son. You were able to bypass my wards, and the legend my father told me knights of Avalon were the only people well trained enough to do something so seemingly impossible with a blink of the eye." Crouch evident as his face lost a lot of the pinched, stressed, the side he was on was.
"So, how am I getting to your contact?"
"I assume you know how to take mundane transportation, right?"
An hour later, Bartimus crouch senior had a new babified and without the dark mark, jr in a baby carrier. Kat gave him the book most new parents had, and she woke the elf who almost wanted to attack at least until she quickly figured out the situation and helped. A new disguise Barty gave the map of the ward stones were buried all over the British isles and good luck. With a baby preparedness, including how to take care of a baby. I put him in the strongest baby coat; the new babified junior smiled as she quickly made sure he was dressed for the freezing cold while Winky packed the bags and got everything they needed.
Winky can take him to the subway station and hide him until they get to Paris, and he has the money to get the Magique boulevard on his own. From there, the contact will find him. With everything straighten out?! It was like a giant weight off her shoulder.
Kat checked the time; it was the only noon; she decided to go to her superior's place and talk about the next few steps to the plan. Flying on the broom, getting closer and to closer to Ottery St. catchpole, the wind here is below freezing. As the house of the Lovegood's appeared before her much grander with a rather flourishing garden surrounding the home and little Luna barefoot in a purple dress dancing among the begonias only stop and look in my direction the keep dancing. She walked into the house and sat in the living room, knowing that Selene would be here soon enough.
Selene spotted me in the living room; her eyes stuck out; Luna, honey, please stay outside, sweetie, she cried out.
Luna skipped into the house.
"Why mummy?" as she skipped and sat next to Kat like she has known her all her life.
"Hello, Katherine Zacharia!" Luna cheered happily.
"Do you know her, Luna?!" Selene still had a wand trained on the now-named woman not to let her eyes slip.
"Sort of we will be friends in the future; you are early, Katherine, thank you!" Luna chirped Katherine smile brightly, and Luna hummed a melody. Katherine knew but was shocked; how the hell does Luna know about the song unwritten!
"Luna, honey can you go draw me a picture, please?"
"Fine, okay, mummy." Luna skipped out and up the stairs.
Casting a soundproofing spell to the room has a feeling that Luna might already be aware of what would be said.
"I could rip you apart into nothingness, girl; now tell me why I shouldn't I?"
"Selene Lovegood nee Papillion in the flesh. I'm here at Avalon's request. I've got the map, and I've been asked by the king and queen to ask you move you and your family to the secured base town we have as well at the alert you to the progress made so far."
"Wait, Avalon finally sent another time travel team. Did I fail?"
"Worse, you were discovered and murdered. But you are still my superior, my mentor."
"I'm assuming your husband is working on expose on the overcharge of tuition on Hogwarts as well as the article on Gilderoy Lockhart's accomplishments not making any sense, I take it?" Selene nodded to shocked at the stranger, knowing exactly what her husband was doing at this moment.
"Please send him a letter about the choice being offered to you. It's up to you whether or not you join us, but we are safer in numbers. The wards I have can't be bypassed by anyone. even another Avalonian knight couldn't break in unless I clued them in personally."
"You're asking a lot of me! "Selene, for her part, looked overwhelmed considering Katherine just turned her life upside down and made it clear that she already had the plan rolling and was asking her to relocate her whole family with no warning or notice Katherine's proposition would sound insane and asking for a way to much all of a sudden.
"I could just move the plot of land and place It within the boundary
"You can't be serious! That kind of level of magic and control would make you stronger than the average witch! You would be at the level of the Sorceress Morgana!"
"Thank you, I try," Katherine said with a smile as her superior looked at her gob smacked.
January 1, 1989, 6 pm, Faversham at Pendragon's Cove, Wyvern Estate
It was an exhausted Lola and harry who came back to the unplotable and abandoned magical village bearing clothes for harry and all the appliances and food they need to live in the protected ghost town. Coming Lola stopped on a dime, nothing standing where it hands before the homes had been modernized the city was clean ground manicured. A giant garden was off to the right. And the home they called their own was cleaned and picturesque instead of the borderline hovel, and there were streetlights!
"Katherine must be borderline in a coma to expend so much magic to fix the place…"
She trailed off when she saw that the home to the left wasn't just any home but the Selene Lovegood, the rook sticking out compared to the other homes but not by much.
Not knowing what the problem is, Harry follows Lola into the house from I have a better word is closer to the mansion. Lola opens the door.
"Katherine, how dare you do this without me!"
As Kat was reclining on the couch, still watching T.V. but now very much more active and less sleepy than she had been an hour prior.
"Surprise!" She said with a hand raised and all shucks kind of look on her face. Even though her sister wanted to tear her apart.
