There was nothing to hear except the sound of the waves crashing down the beach. She could watch the sea for hours, enjoying it.

It was like she was born into the ocean. However, she wasn't. It was somehow one of her greatest regrets despite having no control over it. Percy smiled softly, her feet walking through the long path towards the sand. Hot stones warmed her feet. The dark-haired woman stopped at the edge of the water. The ocean was calling her. She loved coming to the sea, but she never entered the water for reasons that hunted her nowadays. Her past arguments with her father had broken their relationship, her departure had left permanent traces of broken ties. It wasn't just with her father, it was with all people she had known during her entire life before her departure. Percy didn't regret it though. It had always been something she wanted to do. To be able to travel freely. Something that no one had understood.

At the sight of the golden orb descending through the sky, the dark-haired woman left with a feeling of nostalgia - moments of youthness flashed in her mind as she walked - and went back to the forest boarding the beach. She had recently moved into an ancestral home located on an island protected by wards. It was one of the private properties of House Potter.

Through her mother's line, she was a Potter. It seemed that her mother was born into one of the lesser branches of House Potter. Her mother was born as a child of European immigrants - a French mother and a German father. While Sally was an American as Percy was, she had learned how to speak French and German, and later on Sally had transferred her inheritance to her own daughter. Perseus - she had learned to appreciate her name - had always known about House Potter however her magical education had been given by her mother and some private magical tutors because her mother hadn't enough money - or perhaps willingness - to send her to a boarding school. In her late years as a teenager though, Percy had gone to Salem, one of the excellent American schools of Magic.

If you leave, we'll no longer be friends, Jackson! A familiar voice roasted in her mind, making Perseus wince. Memories of fights with her former friends and family flashed into her mind. She gritted her teeth, feeling the ocean rising slightly to her temperament. It wasn't a walk in the park to master her powers. The woman could smell the forest embracing itself, the smell was divine. Her mind slowly gave up those thoughts as she came to the sight of the wooden chalet, she went past it. Her home was located on the edge of the mountain. It wasn't easy to reach it. Nonetheless, her blood made it easier. A few minutes later, she reached the river and began to walk along it. Slowly the water rose, the wind joined, and ice was formed. Percy loved inventing ways to reach Potter castle.

The large doors of bronze opened when she reached them. Flappy, the only house-elf, appeared with a smile, greeting her in Greek. Percy smiled back, asking if she could cook German tonight. Flappy clapped her hands and agreed before popping out. Perseus went upstairs, she arrived onto the third floor in which the master bedroom was. It was in reality an apartment with a set of rooms: a bedroom, a bathroom, and a study. Firstly, she decided to take a shower. Refreshment was a good way to chase the bad thoughts. Then, she opted to wear casual clothing such as pyjamas: a tee-shirt and shorts. At seven in the evening, Percy went downstairs joining the diner room - a large stoned room with floating torches around the rectangular table. The dishes had been already set. A fire was breathing in front of the table. The woman sat down. Flappy popped it, the candles flickered, and food appeared on the wooden table.

"Thank you Flappy." Perseus thanked her as she filled up her plate. Then, she stood up and walked to the chimney. She burnt half of her plate, muttering prayers for the Greek Gods.

To her uncles. To her aunts. To her cousins. To her.. father. Despite their broken bond, he was still her father, and she still loved him. She still loved them despite everything.

But they weren't family anymore.

Percy concentrated her thoughts on what was coming the next day. It was the day she was going to Gringotts claim her ladyship over House Potter. She was the only eligible heir of the house. With the late Lord's son and his wife dead, she was the only person to lead House Potter. Despite the fact that she was born into nobility, the woman wasn't raised in it. Nevertheless, the late Charlus Potter and Dorea Potter, the late Lords of House Potter, had taught her during her time at their house when she had first met them in London during the English Wizarding War one decade ago. The goblins were working on her case, reintegrating into the English society - which was an easy task to do since she was never listed as dead - and claiming her children that had been supposedly sent to relatives.

Non-magical people. Silverblade, her account manager, had discovered that none of the children under their roof had been treated right. While she would be claiming her ladyship, a squad of goblins would on her behalf retrieve the three children - two were her twins and the third one was the own child of the couple.

"Flappy." She called softly, breaking the silence of the living room as she sat down on one of the couches. The house-elf appeared wearing its chef apron. "Tomorrow, I'll be gone all day. During my absence, could you prepare three rooms connected between them?"

"Yes, I will! Is Destroyer bringing her children?" Flappy asked. Contrary to other house elves' speech, she spoke normally. House Potter was one of the only houses to teach house elves to speak in the first person.

"Yes, my twins in fact. They're finally coming home. The third child is the nephew of a late member of this House, Lily." Percy answered absently, thinking of how the late Potters would react if they were alive.

She wanted to skin alive the couple for their mistreatment of the three children.

"Please, have a seat, Destroyer." Perseus wanted to sigh. She knew why the faes - in which goblins and house elves were part of - called her that nickname.

Destroyer was one of her many surnames. The dark-haired woman looked at the smirking goblin; he looked too much smug for her taste. She shot him a look then a rictus appeared on her face.

"Thank you, your Highness." Silverblade dropped his smirk, his eyes widening. Then, he laughed. It always happened, it became funnier each time.

"Let's begin our business, should we Princess?" Silverblade asked with an amused smile, knowing what might come.

"Of course, High Steel Warrior." Perseus smirked when he groaned at her appellation. He hated the surname, the achievement that he wanted no one to mention.

To become the Head of House Potter, it wasn't an easy task. Percy had been listed after James as an eligible heir since her charisma had charmed the late Lord Potter. James had been the rightful heir. Perseus must be accepted by the family magick. Silverblade pulled out of a wooden box with the Potter crest, a small rectangular box. He put it down in front of the woman, gesturing at her to try. The warrior didn't hesitate once, she opened the box that revealed a set of two rings. She picked the Potter ring, it was a diamond which a purple light shone. She slipped it on one of her fingers. Immediately, the world around her shifted. Her vision was different. She stood in a plane of non-existence - or at least in that world. Colors of all kinds washed the world around her, forms of objects or memories appeared, and she took a deep breath. Percy fell to her knees, but the ground just disappeared. The wind caressed her cheeks as she fell through the endless tunnel. Blackness covered her vision, then Perseus heard the sea calling, the war hunting, and the magic screaming.

I've always deemed you worthy of the honor to be the Head of our House, a gender-neutral voice mused to her. You're a warrior, powerful and charismatic. You've achieved more than any other people I've watched over. Magic went through her body, sending spasm of pain as the world shifted once more, settling in the setting of a red forest. I've seen you all, I've watched you since your birth, you're more than worthy. Now show to the world who you are, Destroyer.

And that was that. The Potter family magick had easily accepted. It had accepted her before she had even tried.

Silverblade was pleased.

"Now, I've another ring for you to try on. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I've studied your family tree on your mother's side. It seems that your mother is descended from another wixen line as well several others. You are also descended from the Slytherin line. You've been proved worthy. The Slytherin vaults had opened themselves some time ago, the family magick had chosen you as Head of House Slytherin." He put down a box similar to the Potter's. "Now, this is only a formality."

Perseus tried to not sigh. She was now Lady Perseus Potter Slytherin, how odd. But then again, she shouldn't be surprised with her childhood and teenage years. She put the ring on. The rush of magic was brutal, but she didn't show any expressions.

"This is done. My fellows are probably already jealous." Silverblade chucked. "Now… Oh yes, your children. We retrieved them earlier than expected. The twins are not well, but magic and time will heal them. Healer Smoothsharp is currently checking on them. The humans that were supposed to take care of them are in our custody." He informed her as he put away the two boxes in his drawer.

Percy nodded. "Good. The third child, their own child, how is he doing?"

Silverblade looked sharply at her. "From what we have discovered, the child is born with active magic. As that woman doesn't like - or hate - magic, her husband does as well, they decide to beat the magic out of their child 'to save him from the freaks' were her words. I'm disgusted. Poor child. Also, he's not a mortal. He's one of your kind."

"I'll kill both of them." Perseus muttered to herself as she narrowed his eyes. She would kill the same person that sent her children into Petunia's and Vernon's home. They were out of their mind or incredibly stupid. "I'm going to take care of him. I'm adopting him into House Potter."

"Very well." The goblin accepted, grabbing the proper documents to fill.

They spent the next hour registering the blond-haired child into House Potter and House Slytherin by name - he would be a full-pledged member if he agreed to be magically blood-adopted. It would mean to give up his biological mother, and so lose every trait from her, and accept his new mother as his only mother.

Potter Castle on Potier's Island was incredible.

As the doors opened frightening the three children, Perseus called for Flappy to pop in front of them. She patiently introduced the three children to the house-elf then did the same with Flappy. She then asked if the three rooms - or apartments should she say - were ready. The house-elf nodded then announced that dinner would be ready in one hour and a half. Percy led the children in the living room. When she had retrieved them in the infirmary at Gringotts, her twins had immediately recognized her. Even though they had been little when she had been frozen, they had always remembered her as their mother.

"I will say it as many times as you want. You are not freaks. You are unique like me. If you believe you're freaks, then I am as well. Aris, my son, Aretha, my daughter. And you, Dudley. I will raise you from now on. It'll be a long road, but we'll be fine." She said to the eight years old children then Percy turned her attention to the blond-haired child. 'I formally welcome you to House Potter and House Slytherin."

Dudley smiled shyly at her, nervously fidgeting. He felt happy to be away from his parents, he was content that his cousins were with him.

"House Potter? House Slytherin?" Her daughter asked, curiously.

Gently, the warrior started explaining the existence of the Wizarding world. She spoke about the social classes, the nobility, the main Houses, the many magic schools, and so on until Flappy called that dinner was ready. During the meal, Percy answered the few questions the children had.

It would be a long road, indeed.

They would become fine people, they would overcome their fear, she just knew it. She was no seer even though she could be, however, she knew that something was coming along their way. They would be ready when time came. She would be ready.
