Ruby and Yang's Commentary of Cars 2 (Part 2 - Final)

"So back with Mater, Finn and Holley, the two spies figure out on which disguise they could use on Mater to identify the leader of the lemon cars.", Ruby starts the second part of the Cars 2 review, watching a snippet where Mater tests a voice-activated spy system that changes his appearances to many cars, including a Dracula monster truck in which Mater jokes by saying 'I want to syphon your gas!', "He can also say, 'You are a car of good taste!'", before saying, "The day of the second race for the Grand Prix comes, and Mater prepares to put his disguise on while Finn and Holley knock the lieutenant's tow truck out.", watching the part where Mater listens to Finn saying that everyone would see him as an idiot and that the genius of it had the people being fooled are too busy being laughed at the fool, "'But not in a bad way, Mater. Those are just some wise words that a friend of mine once told me.'"

Yang describes, "As the race continues, Mater enters the casino and meets up with the other lemon cars, where they see a recorded message by the lemon cars' leader, who I swear he sounds like Zurg's impersonation of Dr. Evil.", as she and Ruby witness the moment where the lemon cars blew out some of the other racers, causing minor car crashes and wrecks, "But I have to admit, the scene that follows actually seem to be the darkest part of the movie. Even with the lemon leader's monologue, it still sounds as deep as this scene goes. Even when Finn and Holley get captured and the lemons causes most of the Grand Prix racers to crash, he caps it off by saying..."

The scene then has the lemon cars' leader say, "LONG...LIVE...LEMONS!"

Ruby and Yang glare deadpanningly at this part.

"Do we make a reference to this?", Ruby and Yang both said unsatisfyingly, exampling a part from the Spongebob Squarepants episode Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy V, where it said, 'Every Villain Is Lemons! Otherwise known as EVIL!', "This film wouldn't be better without it."

The leader of team RWBY then resumes, "Lightning finishes first at the Italy race, as he and Francesco see that the other cars were in a literal carwreck. Mater unluckily gets his cover blown as he goes off to warn Lightning about their new intentional plans to kill him.", the next snippet showing Lightning seeing Mater, but as he pushed through the crowd, he finds the lieutenant's tow truck instead of Mater, who greeted the racer before saying he would be finished at the finish line as Ruby mocked, "'And by that, your career will be finished and it will end with a boom! I know you can't hear me right now, so I'll just...yeah, I'll leave you to it!'"

"It seems Mater is captured as he, Finn and Holley wake up to find themselves inside Big Bentley in London, before Mater confesses that he isn't a spy.", synopsizes the blonde huntress as they saw the next part where Mater takes the blame for his actions as he admits he is a fool which McMissile had told him, "'Again, I didn't mean to say that to you, I told you they were some wise words a friend told me.'", continuing, "Lightning prepares for the final race in London and then he has one more talk with Axelrod.", saying after seeing the part where Axelrod told him that he hopes he wins today, "'Hopefully one day they could make a documentary of either one of us. Maybe I could prove one of those wrong for Who Killed the Electric Car?.'"

Ruby commentaries, "The final race starts, while Mater helps Finn and Holley escape.", commenting when Finn in the same scene says that being killed by a clock gives a new meaning to 'Your time has come', "Oh, great. That's basically how a lot of songs have that phrase. For the love of gods, I hope it does not become a musical!", before overviewing, "As Mater meets with Lightning and his friends, he discovers that a bomb has been implanted onto him. This ensues, you guessed it, MORE backward driving!", saying this in amazement as they see Mater drive backwards away from Lightning as the latter tries to reason with and apologize to him for earlier, "My gods, when he said he was the best backwards driver, he wasn't kidding!"

"Mater suddenly activates rocket boosters that would challenge the Gadgetmobile from Inspector Gadget,as he speeds out of range from Professor Z's EMP weapon.", Yang outlooked as she and Ruby see a snippet where Francesco was racing before seeing Mater and Lightning speed past him as the former exclaims 'What is happening, is it a bad dream?!', as Yang replies, "Well, you must be seeing things. Not every day that you see a car go as fast as the Flash.", then saying, "Finn goes after the professor while Holley goes off to help McQueen and Mater.", who then replies again when Holley flies past Francesco in the film while he was racing as he says 'WHAT IS HAPPENING!?', "Better yet, you must have clearly stoned the fuck out before the race, didn't you?"

The red-black-haired girl states, "But as Finn tries to capture Zundapp, he uses explosives on the ship magnetizing Finn as it results in a-", making a WTF Boom joke as an explosion was seen, "I'm sorry, guys. It needed to be done. Worth a shot.", as she then continued, "After Holley defeats the two lemon cars by sending them into a bar brawl, they try to deactivate the bomb, which appears to be voice-activated and has only five minutes left before he blows up. It also appears that Professor Z isn't the real culprit as Mater figures out who the culprit would be, so he and Lightning fly over to the finish line where Axelrod and the Queen of England were at, and Mater proceeds to claim that the real culprit was in fact Axelrod."

As they watch over the scene where Mater told evidence about how he figured out it was Axelrod all along including the oil leakage from earlier in the film, Ruby's sister says, "'You just did that so you could make a pissing joke for a Pixar movie? How dare you, movie? Shame on you!'", climaxing, "Mater manages to talk Axelrod into deactivating the bomb, revealing himself to be the true lemon mastermind. Mater even gets a chance of being knighted by the Queen of England, because...for someone who just saved the day like any other animated movie, why shouldn't everyone? It's like giving a Medal of Honor to a person who prevented 9/11 or World War 3. I'm sorry, everyone, but we had to go there.", the movie showing McQueen introducing McMissile and introducing the former to the other over and over.

"'McQueen, McMissile, McQueen, McMissile. I can go on all day by saying this. Your names are similar! ...Gosh, I love these two.'", jokes Ruby before saying the ending, "The final race is instead moved to Radiator Springs, while Mater is congratulated for his work and even is granted his rocket boosters, even putting himself in the race with Lightning. Yeah, because it looks like Mater's hard work has paid off in the Cars movies, didn't it?"

Yang finishes off, "And that was Cars 2. What we can say is that it was...actually not great, but not bad after all."

They both say their overall review of this movie; "I gotta say, although the movie seemingly moves away from the racing genre by demoting it as a subplot, the main spy storyline kinda feels typical and mildly unoriginal like how some other animated films, as well as most spy films, have already focused on this genre. Well, we both can't say that this sequel was bad, but neither it is the best Cars film or greatest Pixar film in general. Of course, there were some moments that were actually visually amazing, the humor was okay, the action is high-paced, the animation still flows like the original, but the story was probably derivative towards other spy films in general. Of course they wanted to do a spy parody at some point in this series like with Phineas and Ferb, but with all do respect, Cars 2 was for the most part was pretty good and so much fun. Although we feel bad that this movie was basically now the last film Lasseter ever directed before his retirement from Disney and Pixar, I could say it was kinda worth it as his explosive final note."

"And I would like to say that we do believe Cars 3 would return to its original roots. I'm Ruby..."

"...and I'm Yang..."

"We remember it so you don't have to.", said the two of them, leaving their commentary chairs.
