Long Author's Note: This review episode will be the Season 1 finale of this story. Don't worry, everyone. No matter how many seasons this story will be, it will be an ongoing story with seasons over 25 episode reviews (50 chapters) each. Also, a character from Soul Eater will be featured prominently in this episode review, as well as most characters that will return from the earlier TMNT (2014) RWBY/Athena Cykes review will make an appearance in this episode review. Plus, more surprises await in this story's season 1 finale. And lastly, the entire episode review will not have excerpts from the movie, but rather having RWBY experiencing their close encounters with the wicked Sanderson witch sisters. Like always, I DON'T OWN ANYTHING, and enjoy.
P.S.: Aaaaaand I just found out Tenet pushed back two weeks later to July 31...
Update: Replaced two anime characters from Between the Sky and Sea with video game character Ann Takamaki, because the story will tease her future appearance later on.
Update 2: Replaced Katalina Alize and Lyria (Granblue Fantasy the Animation) with the three main anime characters from Coppelion due to the two girls' future appearance in a later season of the story.

RWBY's Commentary of Hocus Pocus (Part 1) (Season 1 Finale)
VALE
In the seasonal costume store at 10:30 AM, team RWBY were looking through the costumes of what to wear for their Halloween night, which would include trick-or-treating in the city of Vale and the Halloween party in Beacon Academy.
"Hey, Ruby? Which costume do you think I should go as? Doomguy, Sonic the Hedgehog or the Human Torch from Fantastic Four?", Yang asked, showing her sister the two costumes she mentioned.
Ruby answered, "I think Doomguy suits you best, maybe. How about my costume? Which one do you think? Either Scooby-Doo, Iron Man, Rey from Star Wars or Master Chief from Halo?"
"I believe maybe Master Chief is the best one. After all, Church and Sarge are our friends from Red vs. Blue, which we've met and hung out with back in our trip to Niagara Falls when we reviewed that gods-awful 3rd Animated Titanic Movie.", Yang replies back.
Blake tells her friends as she and Weiss were trying out the costumes they have chose from the nearby changing room, "Hey girls, just to let you know, I was gonna choose either to dress up as Black Widow or a Fortnite character, but I'm glad that had the costume from the game Sekiro, so I chose to wear it. The Edo style of this costume really nails it. I feel like a samurai already..."
"And I decided to choose Frozen's Elsa costume since it looked...stylish at the very least. Seeing how it fits the winter style my family in Atlas has.", Weiss added, before the two of them left the changing room to show off their costumes they chose and tried out, "What do you guys think?"
Ruby makes a Portal 2 joke, "Interpreting vague answer as yes!"
"Vague?!", Weiss flustered correctly, as Ruby, Yang and her girlfriend Blake laughed.
Blake asks too, "How about mine?"
"Hard to say...", Ruby kids with Blake and Weiss, making Blake nervous, "Why, both of your costumes are as cool as ever. Literally cool for Weiss' costume, that is.", snickering.
Weiss sarcastically said, "I saw what you did there..."
"Come on, girls. We're going to watch Evil Dead 2 once we get back before we put our costumes on and get ready for trick-and-treating and the party going on at Beacon! Now if you excuse us both, we're going to try these on just in case they're the right size. Did those fit you both?", planned Ruby before asking the two.
Blake said, "It does, actually. Almost a perfect fit, but no problem."
"Nope. I'm pretty sure I remember my own size correctly.", double-checked Weiss ingeniously.
Yang excites, "Then we'll go change into our costumes so we'll change back and purchase these. Good thing we've been saving quite a bit, fortunately."
"COSTUMES ARE AWESOME!", Ruby couldn't wait any longer as she was too excited, as both her and Yang went to the changing room as they changed into their costumes.
With Ruby ultimately choosing the Master Chief costume, Yang choosing the Doomguy costume, Blake choosing the Sekiro costume and Weiss choosing the Elsa costume, they changed back to their clothes and went to pay for their costumes, which ultimately ended up with a cost of $178.24 for all four costumes.
As the four team members of RWBY were leaving the costume store with bags containing their costumes, a stray black cat was watching them go off back on their way to Beacon.
The black cat was wearing a witch's hat and a bauble with three triangles on it that resembles a jack-o-lantern's face, who also had large yellow eyes, ears with pale bushy tips and a long curly tail.
"Meow... Well, well, well... It looks like something special and spooky is happening this Halloween night...", the cat said, purring before it starts following team RWBY without them knowing.
BEACON
Using her motorcycle Bumblebee, Yang drove herself, Ruby, Blake and Weiss back to Beacon, with their shopping bags containing their costumes safely intact.
Unbeknowst to them, the black cat had followed them there moments later, not getting the girls attention as they went back inside the academy, as the feline followed...
In their dorm room, the four girls entered (with the black cat sneaking inside when the door was open before it was closed as the cat hid to see what RWBY was doing) as they put the costumes away with Ruby saying, "Okay, guys. Now that we got our costumes, now we can go ahead and watch Evil Dead 2!"
"Honestly, while the first one felt like a supernatural horror movie, that and Army of Darkness are more of a horror comedy. What happened?", Weiss said.
Blake answered, "I'm not entirely sure because he made Crimewave in between the first and second, and then he made Darkman between the second and third."
"But I have to admit, the Evil Dead films were scary at first, but it turns out to bring a good laugh later on. Now this is a Halloween flick we're talking about.", Yang admitted.
Ruby grabs out the Special Book of the Dead Edition DVD of Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn from their movie collection, opening the case and pulling out the clear disc for the movie, saying, "Now let's show them what a real Halloween classic looks like...", mentioning the readers.
Suddenly, Ruby's Scroll was ringing. Hearing this, Ruby pulls it out and the four girls see a video call by Glynda Goodwitch waiting to be answered.
"Glynda? Why's she calling?", mystified Yang, before Ruby answers the video call, showing Glynda.
Glynda said, "Well, well, if there isn't a skeptic in our midst?"
"What's going on, Glynda? The Halloween party isn't on until later on tonight. Has it been cancelled or something?", said Blake.
The teacher said, "No. I just wanted to let you four know about the movie Hocus Pocus...would you care to rethink your point of view?"
"Hocus Pocus? Look, watching it once was enough, and I don't get why you sound a bit worked up on it...", Weiss thought.
Just then, Qrow Branwen suddenly cuts in during the call by saying, "It just so happens that Hocus Pocus was supposed to be a Disney Channel original movie, which we all know is nothing but classics. In fact, it feels like every other Disney Channel original movie, but more cinematic."
"Qrow!", Ruby and Yang greeted, "We'd highly agree on that fact you just said that.", before Ruby states, "That is until the Secret Society of Second-Born Royals comes out on Disney+."
Glynda and Qrow simply said, "Yep. But whatever you do, do not-", before Ruby hangs up the call by mistake.
"We will never understand this fanbase of Hocus Pocus. Evil Dead 2, on the other hand...", Yang said, as Ruby then promptly puts the DVD of Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn in...
...but fireworks sparked out, creating a small explosion that sends the four members of team RWBY across the room.
"Ow...", Blake and Weiss groaned, "What's happening!?", as the room suddenly shook violently, knocking movies and books off the shelves and almost making the bunk beds collapse.
An explosion from the distance appeared, as three shadowy figures laugh away evilly.
The four team RWBY girls look in shock (while the black cat was watching), as the three shadowy figures were revealed to be the three Sanderson witches, Winifred, Sarah and Mary.
"We're home!", Winifred said.
Ruby says in shock, "Oh, no! Bette Midler's Winifred!"
"Hello, I'm Winifred. These are my fellow sisters Sarah and Mary. As you can see, we are the Sanderson witches!"
Sarah sensed, "What is this? The late 2010's? If so, it's just in time for the 90s to become nostalgic again!"
"No, no, no, no, no. There's still plenty of things today that are totally original!", Ruby firmly states.
Winifred asks the RWBY leader, "Name a recent hit movie."
"Star Wars, Avengers and Harry Potter!", Ruby said before realizing those were adapted, "SHIT!"
Winifred presumed, "Ah, and you must be her three friends who are part of her team to the very end..."
"Well, technically speaking. I'm his sister, but Blake and Weiss are our friends! We're like a family, no matter what people say about it!", told Yang.
The lead witch plans evilly, "And now, the time has come to control the minds of this generation by convincing them that our movie Hocus Pocus is the greatest thing ever!"
"No! We'll stop you the best way possible!", Blake and Weiss pointed at them fearlessly.
Mary tilts her head, "Oh?"
"Because we're huntresses! No matter what kind of supernatural magic or incantations or spells that you throw at us, witches, we'll stand back up. Because we have had made experiences...we have evolved...and we will never back down!", Ruby angrily said, as she pulls out her Crescent Rose, while Yang readies her Ember Cecila, Blake readies her Gambol Shroud and Weiss preparing her Myrtenaster.
Winifred taps her finger on her chin, "Oh, is that so? Well, we'll just see about that!", as she was about to use her electrokinesis powers on team RWBY...
...but not before the black cat with a witch's hat from earlier suddenly lunged on top of Winifred, attacking her by scratching her on the face and clawing her hair.
"GET IT OFF!", Winifred said as Sarah and Mary try to help, as the black cat then attacked both Sarah and Mary by doing the same thing/
Ruby peeled her eyes, "Wait...is that a black cat?"
"Oh, no, I hope we don't get 7 years of bad luck!", hoped Yang.
Blake said, "This cat is like a good luck charm to me. Plus, it almost looks exactly like me."
"It does, my love. It does. Is now the time to attack or what?", Weiss asked.
Ruby suggested, "For now, let's make a run for it!", as she and Yang ran.
"Oh, come on? Seriously!?", Blake and Weiss exclaim as they follow.
The black cat, after attacking the three witches, leaps off and runs after the four girls who had left their dorm room.
But as they were running across the hallway, the three witches suddenly poofed in front of them!
"Zoinks!", startled Yang.
Ruby said, "Scooby-Doo reference!"
Winifred cackles, "The witch is back, baby!", preparing to attack.
As RWBY prepares their weapons, the black cat then suddenly cuts in front of team RWBY and said, "Look! A new poster for a Hocus Pocus sequel!", as the team RWBY were surprised for a moment by how the cat talked.
"Where?", the Sanderson witches all said, looking behind to see nothing.
That was when the black cat used its magic to teleport it and team RWBY away from the Sanderson witches with a black puff of smoke.
The three witches look back to find the girls and the cat gone, with Winifred saying, "Drat."
Hocus Pocus
The team RWBY and the black cat then appeared in the middle of the Forever Fall forest by the latter's spell, with Ruby saying in surprise, "Wait a minute... We just have a lot of questions we need to ask... First of all, what's a black cat doing here in all places? Hopefully we didn't cross paths with you or else bad luck will happen."
"I'm not here to any bad luck or anything, but since those witches have just appeared, I'm definitely planning to help you.", the black cat says.
Yang continued, "Who are you? Plus, you do look like my friend Blake, but in cat form."
"Name's Blair. Speaking of whom, is Blake a cat too?"
"I am a Faunus. A human who inherits animal traits.", Blake states, "Anyways, how is it that a cat can talk anyway?"
Blair excused, "You see, I'm not just any cat...", just before she transformed with another black puff of smoke, as team RWBY were all shocked by the form Blair had turned into.
Blair's beautiful human form. She had purple hair, yellow eyes, large breasts and an alluring figure. She wore black witch apparel while her long hair strands on both sides resemble her cat form's curly tail and the same bauble can be seen worn on her chest. She also has a pair of cat ears and a curled up purple cat tail that resembles her cat form one, her lips are curled like the shape of a "3" to represent those of a cat, and she also had two little sharp fangs in her mouth in human form like a cat's.
"I'm really just a cat with a ridiculous amount of magical power.", said Blair in her human form as she gestured her balled up fists like a cat's paw.
Weiss blushed and flustered, "Are you telling us you're actually a human?!"
"A monster cat, to be exact. But a friendly one.", corrected Blair cutely.
Weiss sighed, "How did you end up here anyway?"
"Well, you see, one day when I was at Maka and Tsubaki's apartment, I performed some kind of magic spell as an experiment for teleportation, but unfortunately I made a mistake, and it somehow ended up sending me here to this world."
Ruby asked, "Maka and Tsubaki? They were the ones who were with us back when we did the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice review, and that other DC Superman movie that came out before that in which we did a review on!"
"Yes. So I've been told.", Blair purrs.
Yang then said, "So you transported from Earth to Remnant? That seems strange."
"Oh, so this is what this world is called...", Blair learnt.
Blake then asked, "Yet, when we were playing the Evil Dead 2 movie on DVD, all of a sudden those witches had come. What's the big deal?!"
"Actually, that wasn't the Evil Dead 2 movie.", revealed Blair, "That was presumably the DVD to Hocus Pocus."
Weiss questioned, "What? Hocus Pocus? We could've sworn we put Evil Dead 2 in!"
"Oh, no...", Ruby realizes, "I must've switched the DVDs of Evil Dead 2 and Hocus Pocus earlier! The wrong case!"
Yang gulped, "Must've been very tired back on that day..."
"Whose fault was that?", asked Blake and Weiss non-threateningly.
Blair explained, "It wasn't any of your fault. It's the phenomenon that did. If I could deduce this, if the movie Hocus Pocus were to be played during Halloween on October 31st, on 11:11 AM during the planets' alignment for just six hours, six minutes and six seconds, then it would mark the return of the Sanderson witches."
"So that's why Glynda and Qrow wanted to call us. To let us know about the warning signs and the phenomenon!", Blake and Weiss speculated.
Ruby saddened, "It's...it's all my fault... If I haven't switched the DVDs, if I have been more careful-"
"We know, Ruby. Don't blame yourself...", Yang cared for her sister, "We all didn't know this would happen."
Blake comforted, "We'll find a way to defeat those witches. We will.", before saying to the feline human Blair, "By the way, you're like the black cat from Hocus Pocus who was prophesied in defeating the witches."
"Why thank you.", Blair meowed, as Blake caresses her head, as the two feline-like humans had bonded as a sign of friendship.
Weiss smiled, "A cat befriending a cat. It's just so cute. It's like a dragonborn human bonding with a dragon."
"Indeed.", Ruby smiles back, as RWBY puts their weapons away for now.
Blair asked, "So, the movie Hocus Pocus... What happens?", as the five girls strolled through the forest together.
"Well, there is also one part that focuses on some bullies which should stop calling someone Hollywood unless it is like Cool World, and that they're the ones who are Hollywood, because Hollywood obviously wrote for them. If them existed in real life, they'd be the ones being bullied!", Ruby abstracts, "Not as a sign of humilation or anything, sorry."
Blair apologized, "It's okay. You don't have to say sorry about that. It's just...it's just that it's hard moving into a new environment, you know.", confessing this to the girls as she sat down.
"Yeah, we do know," Yang confides as she, Ruby, Blake and Weiss sat down next to her, "You're a growing feline-human being with so many issues that could be tackled, but instead, they do the one that they always do, involving a new kid moving into a neighborhood, like that's somehow the only problem any kid ever has."
Blair sighs, "It's in every 90s movie. Every one! Doesn't any child anywhere else have other issues?"
"Well, at least you don't have a dead parent. That's a popular cliche. And look at it this way. Kids films in the future are written a lot better, and a lot of these 90s tropes don't even exist anymore. That is until they'll bring it back at some point.", Blake tells her.
The feline-human said, "Didn't you say Avengers, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Goosebumps were #1?"
"Don't change the subject.", Weiss insists.
Just then, a bus had arrived nearby in the forest as the five girls sat up and saw this.
The Sanderson witches exited the bus as Winifred says, "Oh, thank you again, Mr. Bus Driver, for giving us a ride for us being so gorgeous!"
"You found them gorgeous?", Ruby unsettles.
The bus driver offscreen was heard saying, "What can I say? I'm settling!", telling the witches, "Anytime you wacky broads want to indulge my crazy ass fetish, it's all right by me!", driving off as the Sanderson witches said their goodbyes to him.
"Let's never speak of him again.", mutters Winifred after the bus left.
Sarah agrees, "He was weird."
"Yeah.", Mary agrees too.
Blair prepares to attack, "Let's beat it extreme old school style!"
"Yeah, let's get this fight on!", Ruby approved as she and her teammates pull out their weapons again, before noticing Blair fleeing, "HEY! Where are you going!?", as they ran in a cartoony Scooby-Doo-esque style.
Winifred commanded her fellow two witches, "After them!", as she and the other two witches grabbed their brooms and fly off after the heroes.
Team RWBY and Blair find themselves in a graveyard, as the latter remembers something as team RWBY looks back and forth at Blair and the witches coming closer on their accelerating broomstick flights, "Hey, I remember something from Hocus Pocus. There was a gravestone of one of Winifred's victims. Apparently, she had a better interpretation on witches, so she banished her theatrical release and killed any chance of her being popular in America."
"We're in the middle of a chase! What does this have to do with anything?! Come on, feline!", Ruby exclaimed as the two continue running, zipping away Hanna-Barbera style.
The girls manage to return to Vale, where they come across a police officer.
Yang says, "Officer! Officer! The three witches from Hocus Pocus are trying to consume everybody's minds!"
"It's serious!", Blair begged.
The police officer took a moment to respond as he sighed, "Come here.", before asking, "Are there really actual witches? Is this a joke?"
"Well, I am sort of a witch myself, but I'm actually more of a cat.", Blair uncomfortably sweats in tension, "I don't think I should feel bad about it...but I am a good witch. There are three bad witches out there and we all need your help..."
The police officer said, "...To be honest, I'm not even a real cop."
"Huh?", team RWBY and Blair confused.
He said, "The giveaway is this stupid patch on my hat."
"That's weird.", Blake mentioned.
The police officer tells them, "What are they gonna do? Arrest me for impersonating a police officer on Halloween? Fair enough.", before leaving the scene.
"Wait! Don't go!", Weiss pleaded.
Winifred suddenly said, "Oh, what a guy.", as she, Sarah and Mary had already got up to them.
"Marrying a sister was one thing, but then showing us The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement was too far!", Mary mentions.
"ZOINKS!", Ruby and Yang shrieked as the two, Blake, Weiss and Blair run away from the witches Scooby-Doo style, with the two sisters saying to the readers/audience as they ran, "Sheesh! What do you people see in these three?!"
As the Sanderson witches were about to catch up, Winifred suddenly stops with the other two witches as she noticed, "Oh! Are people right now watching us?"
"Right on!", Blair ran back to look at the readers/audience, before zipping back cartoon-style.
Winifred introduced, "Well, thank you for that marvelous introduction..."
It appears that other characters back on Earth, including Kizuna AI and Rikka Takanashi, were seeing this.
Suddenly, the Sanderson witches suddenly conjure themselves on a center stage as RWBY and Blair stopped, finding themselves in the environment they're sent in with the witches.
Hana Uzaki, Michiru Kagemori and Nazuna Hiwatashi (BNA), Ibara Naruse, Aoi Fukasaku and Taeko Nomura (Coppelion), and Ann Takamaki (Persona 5) watch this, beginning to become interested.
Winifred: I put a nostalgia spell on you...and now, you're mine!
Suddenly, characters watching this including Hana Uzaki, Kizuna Ai, µ (Mu), Bilin Valentine, Nir and Roz (all four from Listeners), Rikka Takanashi and Kurumi Tokisaka (Date A Live) laugh hard to this performance.
"Oh, that made you laugh? Oh...", Winifred interrupted when hearing the viewers' laughter.
Winifred: Well, I have even more...crappy puns and li-i-i-ines!
Once again, Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Mami Tomoe, Sayaka Miki and Kyoko Sakura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Maki, Tamaki and Iris (Fire Force), Michiru and Nazuna (BNA), Ann Takamaki and both Hotaru Shidare and Saya Endo (Dagashi Kashi) laughed.
Winifred confused again, "What is happening right now?"
"I don't know.", Mary and Sarah confuse.
Winifred: On my witch watch, I will fly today...
Katalina Alize and Lyria giggled together.
Winifred: If you learn how to spell...
Rikka Takanashi laughed cutely.
Winifred: ...there'll be hell to pay (toupee)!
Michiru and Nazuna spat out their glasses of water watching this, bursting into laughter. And again, Maki, Tamaki and Iris (Fire Force), Kurumi Tokisaka and both Michiru and Nazuna laughed to this performance like cackling hyenas.
"This is getting uncomfortable.", Sarah unsettled.
Winifred skipped, "Yeah, just cut to the chorus."
"No! Don't fall under the corporate song number!", Ruby warned as her friends and Blair looked nervous and shocked before the chorus started.
Winifred: I put a nostalgic spell on you... Just give it time... (Sarah and Mary: Stream us now on Disney Plus!)
Perhaps a decade or two, then your memory's mine... (Sarah and Mary: Amazon Streams, don't fuss!)
In this part, µ (Mu), Bilin Valentine, Nir and Roz, as well as Kizuna Ai, the trio Ibara, Aoi and Taeko, and Rikka Takanashi were now dancing to this song either in their seats or standing.
Winifred: Our writing is atrocious and makes no goddamn sense, but you'll laugh because we always use synchronized movements!
Nostalgic spell on you... Forget reason or rhyme...
The next part showed Hana Uzaki, Maki, Tamaki and Iris from Fire Force and both Hotaru and Saya (Dagashi Kashi) dancing.
Sarah and Mary: Watch us, watch us, watch us, watch us! We're in Best Buy's discount bin...
Kurumi Tokisaka, as well as Katalina and Lyria and Hotaru and Saya, were still dancing.
Winifred: This earworm will stay with you 'till blood squirts out your nose, this whole thing's as impromptu as Go Ninja Go! Nostalgic spell on you...
Team RWBY sees Blair dancing to this song, the latter excusing, "Sorry. But hey, this is a surprisingly good number!"
Winifred: Nostalgic spell on you... Now repeat after me!
Michiru, Nazuna and Ann were dancing in their seats to the tune of this.
Winifred: Ecky, ecky, shblblbble doochie, dopsie blblblble goochie ta!
The viewers were unamazed.
"Hell, no.", Maki (Fire Force) said in response while her friends Tamaki and Iris were mad.
Winifred asked, "What?"
"You can't spit out gibberish and expect us to remember it right away!", Hotaru said.
Sorano simply told, "Yeah, you should've had this rehearsed or something."
"Excuse me? Excuse me? We're doing this all with no rehearsal!", Winifred confessed.
Mary added, "Yeah, us and the band."
"We're doing this all in one go! And quite frankly, I think we're killing it!", plans the lead witch.
Ann Takamaki says, "Well, good for you! But we can't even pronounce half the names like we hear on a typical anime!", before she looks at the readers for a second and rose an eyebrow.
"All right. Go, line up, line up. We have to make it simpler for the simpletons.", sighs Winifred as she clears her throat before the three Sanderson witches resumed while all the viewers seeing this sang along;
The Sanderson Witches: I'll watch Hocus Pocus every single Halloween!
Viewers: I'll watch Hocus Pocus every single Halloween!
The Sanderson Witches: Every year, it's the boss!
Viewers: Every year, it's the boss!
Winifred: Now everybody do the Peter Dinklage window wash, It's the 90s, so we're a little less PC!
The song ends as the viewers watching this cheered for the witches' performance.
As this was the perfect time for them to escape, team RWBY and Blair make a run for it while the Sanderson witches were distracted...
To be continued...
