*I DON'T OWN NARUTO*

Sakura opened her eyes and slowly tilted her head so that she could get a better look at her alarm clock. Her vision was still a bit blurry, so she rubbed her eyes so she could better focused them. It was still early, it was 5:45am. Her stomach churned and she moaned. Her one day of no morning sickness was officially over.

Sakura slowly rolled over to see Naruto snoring on his side of the bed. Just watching him sleep brought a smile to her face. However that smile soon faded since she was reminded of her nausea with her stomach performing somersaults. Sakura quickly jumped out of bed and ran towards the bathroom. She barely made it to the toilet, and what little food she did have it in her stomach was expelled forcefully.

The sudden movement Sakura had caused made Naruto shift uncomfortably. He opened his eyes, he could tell it was early in the morning. He lifted himself up wondering what had woken him up. His mind was sluggish, and he simply stared off into space. His ears perked up at the sound of Sakura gasping for air. He scrambled out of bed trying to get to her aid. His movements however weren't as quick and graceful as he intended them to be and his legs got tangled up in the bed sheets. Naruto fell off the bed and his face slammed into the floor as the rest of his body followed.

"Son of a bitch!"

Sakura felt a huge thud through the floor. She quickly looked over at her bedroom, Naruto wasn't in bed, Sakura panicked. Before she couldn't figure out where he had gone his head appeared from the floor near his side of the bed. He was rubbing his face and mumbling to himself. Naruto turned his head towards the restroom. and there was Sakura, staring right at him. Their eyes met and both of them were frozen with fear. Neither one of them said anything for a few seconds, they simply stared at one another.

Sweat began to build on Sakura's brow, her mouth felt dry despite the fact she had been vomiting. Naruto slowly got up and walked over to Sakura's dresser. He grabbed his boxers and slipped them on. Sakura watched as Naruto left her field of vision. She was about to say something to him when she felt more vomit climb up her throat causing her to leaned forward into the toilet bowl once more. Sakura coughed and began to spit trying to get the taste of bile out of her mouth. Suddenly she felt Naruto's hand on her shoulder; she looked up alarmed at the sudden contact.

"It's the baby isn't it Sakura-chan. It's the reason you're sick right?"

Sakura was stunned, she searched Naruto's face to see if there was a sign of resentment, but he wouldn't look her in the eyes. How could he, she was suffering because of him after all. Sakura slowly rose from the floor, flushed the toilet, and reach for a nearby washcloth that was on her bathroom counter. She then braced herself and turned towards Naruto.

"How did you find out? Wait, take that back, that's not what I meant!" Screeched Sakura as she waved her hands apologetically at Naruto. "I was going to tell you Naruto, honestly."

Naruto grabbed the pregnancy test from behind a box of tissues. He had hidden it before he had gone to bed. He held it up and showed it to her. Her eyes widened, she thought she had thrown it away. Hadn't she?

"You left this in the trash can. I found it when I got out of the shower. The Kyuubi told me it was yours, and that you are indeed pregnant. I have to be honest with you Sakura-chan, I knew something was up with you during sex. I noticed you smelled different, and your blood doesn't taste the same anymore either. I just had no idea this was the reason why."

"I see," whispered Sakura.

"How long have you known about this Sakura-chan?"

This was it, there was no turning back now, Sakura inhaled deeply and spoke.

"I missed my period before you left for your mission. I figured I was just late, but then I started getting morning sickness a few days after you left. I won't lie Naruto, I had my suspicions, but I was just too scared to take a test. I finally mustered the courage and took one two days ago."

"I'm so sorry Sakura-chan, this is all my fault. The Kyuubi knew you were in heat, I mean, that you were ovulating, and he made sure you'd get pregnant by infusing my sperm with his chakra. It broke through the condom.

"So you aren't mad?"

Naruto looked up at Sakura."Why in the world would I be mad? If anything you should be the one that's pissed at me. I'm the one that's technically responsible for all of this."

"..."

"Sakura-chan?"

"..."

"Hey come on, what's wrong?"

Sakura couldn't help herself, she could no longer hold back her tears. She started to cry and before Naruto could say anything she walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his chest. She buried her face in his bare chest as she sobbed uncontrollably. Naruto was at a loss of words. For a few seconds he stood there not knowing how to comfort his girlfriend. He was beyond confused, but the one thing he did know was that Sakura was hurting, and he had to fix it.

He her he looked confused. wrapped his muscular arms around her and held her close. He gently rested his chin on her head as he did his best to soothe her sorrow.

"Talk to me Sakura-chan."

"I'm sorry…. I just ...can't help myself."

"If you want to cry then cry, I understand if this isn't what you wanted."

"No Naruto it's not that, I want this baby."

"You do?"

"Of course I do, I know it doesn't make sense since I'm crying my eyes out, but believe me when I say that I'm incredibly happy that I'm pregnant with your child."

"Then what are the water works for?"

"It's just that I've had time to think about how our lives are going to change, and I feel so guilty because you're going to have to put all your dreams and aspirations on hold because of this pregnancy."

"That's what this is all about? Sakura I know things are going to change, but that should be expected, life is unpredictable after all."

"..."

"We can spend all our lives planning, but whether or not those plans become reality or not is never carved stone. So when life throws us a curveball we need to do our best and work with what we've got. Don't worry we'll make this work Sakura, together."

"It's going to be so hard Naruto. I won't be able to go on missions, you'll be supporting us alone, and I have no idea how you're going to fit in your Hokage training if you're going to be so busy."

"Shhh easy Sakura, we'll just have to take it one step at a time okay. Baa-chan hasn't even given me a date for when I start my Hokage training. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, so what's the point in worrying about it now?"

"How can you be so calm while I'm over here falling apart," sobbed Sakura.

"I'm flattered that you that I'm taking this news really well, but that's because I'm focusing on you right now. I want you to be okay l, I could care less about me, maybe that's why you think that the way I'm behaving is calm, but to tell you the truth, I'm actually scared shitless right now."

"You are?" Asked Sakura as she looked up at Naruto.

"Of course I am Sakura. We're going to be parents. I'm going to be someone's dad, and I never met my dad, or my mom. How can I raise someone else when there was no one there to raise me?"

"I'm so sorry Naruto, I never took the time to think about that, but I have no doubt in my mind that you will be an amazing father."

"You really think so?"

"Yes, I love you Uzumaki Naruto, with all that I am," sniffled Sakura as she hugged Naruto once again.

"I love you too Sakura-chan."

"I was so terrified to confront you. Ino assured me that I was just overreacting, but my ever changing hormones haven't been helping. Thank you so much for being so understanding Naruto, you've truly lifted a weight off my shoulders.

Naruto grabbed a hold of Sakura's chin and tilted her head back. He slowly leaned in for a kiss, but Sakura denied him by placing two of her fingers on his lips.

"I still have morning sickness breath Naruto," said Sakura.

"Oh yeah, well why don't you freshen up and come back to bed. You need your rest after all," chuckled Naruto sheepishly.

He kissed Sakura on the forehead instead and before leaving. He got back into bed, folded his arms behind his head, and looked up at the ceiling. He couldn't believe this was really happening. He had no clue whatsoever when it came to kids, let alone babies. His stomach start to churn when he thought of the word babies. The Kyuubi had said it was possible for Sakura to have more than one.

Naruto shivered at the thought of multiples, but like he said, life was unpredictable. Just then the door to the bathroom opened and Sakura emerged. Naruto turned his gaze from the ceiling towards her. She was gorgeous, all his, and pregnant with his child.

"Everything ok Naruto?"

She looked so fragile at that moment, like if even looking at her would break her. Naruto smiled at her causing Sakura to blush.

"Yeah I'm alright, just admiring what a beauty I have all to myself."

"Well I have myself quite a catch too."

Sakura made her way into bed and snuggled up close to Naruto. She wrapped her delicate arms around his strong torso. He held her close and twitched his nose as a strand of hair tickle it ever so slightly. He bent his neck down and took in her scent. It was still her, yet it wasn't, he'd have to get use to this new smell. The smell of his Sakura-chan and their child.

Naruto woke up to Sakura still clinging to his body. She had been like that since they had fallen back asleep. The blonde haired shinobi yawned. He wished he could just stay in bed a little longer but he had to head over to his apartment and drop off his stuff. Then he had to pick up his half of the money he was owed from his mission. He looked over at Sakura's alarm clock; it was 8:15am.

"I better get moving," he softly muttered.

He slowly pried Sakura from his body. She looked so peaceful, and the last thing he wanted to do was wake her up. He sat on the side bed with his feet firmly planted on the ground. After mentally preparing himself for the day Naruto stood up and walked over to Sakura's dresser. There he found his nicely folded clothes waiting for him. He took his pants and slipped them on one leg at a time.

He zipped them up and continued to get dressed in silence. Finally he tightened his forehead protector and made his way to the kitchen. He saw that Sakura had placed the flowers he had given her in a vase sometime during the night; he couldn't help but smile.

Naruto yawned again as he tediously searched some of the kitchen draws. He finally found a small note pad in one them along with a pen. He quickly wrote down what he was doing for the day so that Sakura wouldn't be confused when she woke up.

Once he was done he ripped the sheet he needed from the notepad and walked back into Sakura's room. He placed his note on her night stand, grabbed his shoes, put them on, and flung his backpack over his left shoulder. Before he left he made his way over to Sakura. He leaned over her and kissed her left cheek.

"I love you both."

With that said he walked towards the front door, softly opened it, stepped out into Sakura's apartment building hallway, and locked it before softly close it behind him.

It was a beautiful sunny day in Konoha, and the sound of laughing children filled the air. Little boys and girls entertained themselves with shinobi games enhanced by their vice imaginations. Some threw toy kunai's at each other, while others tired performing hand singles so they could performed elaborate jutsu's. One little boy ran right into Naruto's leg and fell to the floor. Naruto hadn't been paying attention so he was a little surprised to feel someone run into him. He looked down at the small boy who was rubbing his face.

"Hey kid you alright?"

The little boy looked up at Naruto in awe. His friends weren't far and they wasted no time in gathering around Naruto.

"Wow it's a real shinobi!" Yelled one little boy while pointing at Naruto.

"It isn't just any shinobi you idiot that's Uzumaki Naruto. My mom told me he's the shinobi who defeated Pain, and Uchiha Madara," said another little girl.

"He's so cool!"

Naruto soon found himself surrounded by a crowd of tiny admirers. The children pulled on his arms and the side of his jacket while one admired the kunai he had in its sheath that was strapped behind his lower back. It had been a little over a year since Naruto had personally brought an end to the fourth great shinobi war and he was still getting use to all the attention he'd get when he roamed the streets of Konoha. Each child was asking him questions upon question and honestly Naruto had no clue what to say.

"Childeren that's enough please leave Mr. Uzumaki alone."

Naruto looked up to see a young woman in her early twenties approaching him. The kids saw her coming closer so they scattered and picked up where they left off on their game. Naruto heard one little boy whisper something as he passed him by.

"When I grow up I want to be a hero, just like Naruto."

The young women sighed as she shook her head.

"I'm so sorry about that. These little rascals are part of a daycare center my grandmother runs. They should be playing close by but it seems they wondered a little too far this time. I'm really sorry if they were a bother."

"Oh no it's alright, they weren't a bother. When I was their age I was obsessed with shinobi. It was my dream to become one, so I get where they're coming from."

The young woman's face seemed a little sad at Naruto's comment and she lowered her head.

"I'm so sorry you were treated so badly by the villagers when you were younger. Everyone was so cruel to you, it was so horrible. Now you're a hero, and it upsets me how those awful people tell stories of how they always believed that you would achieve great things. Those very same people who called you a monster now call you a savior, it's sickening really."

"You're a good man Uzumaki Naruto. You've saved this village so many times even though it's inhabitants have caused you so much sorrow."

"You're right, my past wasn't a pleasant one, but I wouldn't change my experiences growing up, because it's made me who I am today."

The young women saw Naruto's genuine smile and she couldn't help but smile herself. He slowly started walking away from her when he paused.

"Despite everything I've been through, I will always protect this village, my friends, and my family."

The young women tilted her head at his comment but she simply shrugged it off and waved goodbye. Naruto waved back and walked off thinking of what he had just said. His family, It was true, he finally had a family all his own, one to love, hold, and protect.
