A/N: Like with the Child's Play review back in the story's Season 2 premiere, there will be another battle sequence featuring a mysterious foe. Can't wait to continue this story.
Team RWBY and Baiken's Commentary of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Part 2 - Final)
"Jyn's father Galen, played by Mads Mikkelsen, is accidentally killed by the Rebels during a squarrel against the Empire, as once again, it doesn't seem as emotionally investing as it probably should be.", Ruby started off the second part of the Rogue One review with her teammates and Baiken while they saw said part with Galen revealing to Jyn in the movie about the plans he stolen about the Death Star and that it has a weak point that can destroy it.
Baiken synopsized, "Upon finding out that the rebels don't want to sneak in to get the plans for the Death Star, our team decides to go it alone and get it themselves.", whilst the five spectated the following snippet a few scenes later where Rook tells the Imperials officer on the intercom of the ship name, in which he says Rogue One, hence the title of the movie; the samurai woman continued, "So Rogue One goes to the Empire's base to steal the plans, the rebels eventually end up joining them and..."
"You know how The Force Awakens was freaking awesome, but the climax was kind of meh?", said Yang.
The pink-haired Japanese warrior said the opposite, "Well, Rogue One was kind of meh, but the climax was freaking awesome!"
"If you want to know the truth, we haven't gotten a great space battle since Return of the Jedi. We did eventually get a good Star Wars film, but the space battles were still usually too busy with too much clutter going on.", the blonde huntress explained.
Baiken then elucidated, "This follows one ship at a time again, making it feel like you're there. In fact, a lot of it really feels like you're in the action because of the exciting, even realistic way it's shot."
"But it doesn't just stop there, it moves it to the next level.", Yang continued.
The female samurai justifies, "You know how in Return of the Jedi, they smash a Star Destroyer...which, by the way, never destroys any stars. Ironic, because they have their weapon that destroys planets. In fact, doesn't Death Star and Star Destroyer kinda mean like the same thing?", as the five cleared their throats, "Anyway... You remember how it smashed into the Death Star in a giant blaze? Well, in this one, a ship pushes it in just the right place, crashes into another Star Destroyer, which crashes into the shield blocking the planet and just before another one shows up, crashing into a dozen other ships.", before cheering triumphantly, "IT'S AMAZING!", before switching back to her serious behavior, "This does still raise the question, though..."
"Afterwards, there's some flaws before the movie wraps up. After Jyn manages to deliver the plans of the Death Star to the Rebels on Scarif and Cassian manages to injure Krennic by shooting him before he can kill Jyn, we have an emotional highlight that is supposed to be the death of our two leads you're not really gonna lose sleep over, after what seems to look like most of the cast but the veteran Star Wars characters died during the battle. Even the Death Star shoots a laser directly through Krennic which destroys Scarif in the process.", Blake said as the five girls watch the snippet where Jyn and Cassian embrace each other as the explosion from the Death Star reaches them in Scarif, killing them off.
Weiss sorrowed, "Jyn... Cassian... They should've lived on in this film...", embracing her Faunus girlfriend Blake as they, Ruby and Yang cried although Baiken shook her head in earnest.
"But look on the bright side. Darth Vader comes back!", said Baiken, cheering team RWBY up while she cracked a small smile.
The heiress huntress then smiled, "By the Gods, does he come back!"
"Just when you think he contributed nothing to this movie...", the pink-haired woman hyped.
The Schnee girl said, "He comes aboard one of the ships and he has come...to deliver the most awesome scene in the movie."
The five then observe the climatic scene where the Rebel soldiers were scrambling to get the Death Star plans to safety after configuring them, but as the Rebel soldiers were about to enter the next area, the power goes off and the door stops mid-way from opening. In the dark corridor...was Darth Vader, with his red lightsaber lighting up in the darkness. The Rebels try to shoot him but Vader deflects them with his lightsaber, but he starts killing them one by one. One of the rebels manage to give the plans to a fellow rebel outside the inactive area just before he was killed with the others. And just like that, the Rebels escape from Vader in their ship, triggering the events of A New Hope.
Weiss simply said after sighing in amazement, "So, uh...yeah. That was the greatest Darth Vader scene in all of movie history, up there with the original trilogy."
"And despite all the film's flaws, it gave us two solid minutes of holy shitness!", divulged Baiken, "And because that Tarkin wasn't freaky enough, we also get a CGI Princess Leia to top it all off."
Ruby doubted, "Oh, Gods. Just tell us they do it better than Tarkin."
"Sometimes, it looks better, and sometimes, it looks worse. It's kinda weird.", the samurai woman confirmed, shaking her head side to side as a 'so-so'.
"How long is she on screen?"
"About ten seconds."
"How can there be such a drastic change in only ten seconds?", questioned Ruby before she, Yang, Blake, Weiss and Baiken see the ending scene where Leia was given the Death Star plans and answering its significance of hope, with her good CGI likeness of Carrie Fisher's Leia being shown; she and her teammates all reacted in unison, "Eh, it's not bad...pretty good. It's actually not bad.", as Baiken agreed and nodded.
Yang ended, "Thus, the rebels head off with the plans and the film comes to a close.", concluding afterwards, "And that was Rogue One."
"The most above average Star Wars prequel. Right next to Solo.", evaluated Baiken.
The five of them began their overall closing thoughts on Rogue One;
"The film has famously gone through rewrites and re-shoots, and it clearly shows. A lot of the time, it feels all over the place. But some of the places they go to have some great atmosphere and action. The biggest problem is the characters aren't as memorable or fun as some of the other films, meaning it doesn't feel as large or epic. There's certainly problems with it, but it's hard to say there aren't a lot of cool scenes that overshadow them.", the female samurai Baiken recapped.
Ruby and Yang clarifies, "It's not fun, per se, but it is...cool. It's definitely more aggressive and like an actual war, and that often times makes the world feel more real. It never quite goes too aggressive, but it doesn't really take any chances either. There's no surprises, and you get exactly what you'd expect, but what I expected wasn't that bad. So I enjoyed myself fine. It's a perfectly OK movie."
"But this raises a good question. What if we do get too many Star Wars movies? We mean, before, Star Wars was gigantic, whether it was loved or hated...but what if it just becomes okay? What if it's not great, not awful, it's just...average? What if it becomes like every other franchise?", pondered Blake and Weiss.
Baiken says, "You know, before the prequels, there were a lot of cool Star Wars stories. Books, video games, comics, and a lot of them had a wide variety of acceptance. Some were great, some were awful, some were just okay. So, you see, Ruby, Yang, Blake, Weiss... Star Wars was a franchise before it was a franchise."
"Huh. I never thought of it like that. And...yeah, we'll always have the original movies...ish. I guess that does count for something.", accepted Ruby.
The pink-haired Japanese warrior then puts her left arm (her right arm still having a clawed grappling hook in its arm) around Ruby in compassion, "You know, girls, no matter what, Star Wars will always be special.", cracking a smile yet again.
Ruby, Yang, Blake and Weiss smiled at her, as the four then turned off the movie.
"Well, that's care of our review.", Ruby said, slapping her hands together in accomplishment, "I think it's time to see how our friends are doing at the hot springs."
The girls nodded before the five of them decided to leave the woman cave room and Baiken's bedroom, the female samurai putting her boot-like sandals back on as she went. It was almost midnight by the time they finished the movie and their review.
Exiting and going down a few floors, the five reached the first floor of Baiken's castle again, team RWBY looking to find where the hot springs are.
"Baiken? Where's the onsen at?", Yang asked.
Baiken answered, "At the back. Follow me.", leading the way.
Team RWBY follows her through the shrine room on the left side of the first floor and across the hallway, passing by more authentic Edo-period furnishings.
"This is the life...", the five heard Faye Valentine say as they came closer to the back.
When passing through Japanese-style curtains, the girls reached the back as they saw a washitsu resting area to the hot springs outside, where the rest of their friends would be. However, team RWBY and Baiken saw Inori Yuzuriha, May, Kuradoberi Jam, Millia Rage, Jacuzzi Splot and Nice Holystone all waiting inside the resting area.
"Baiken!", Inori said, coming over and embracing her samurai friend, "You finished the Rogue One review already? How was it?"
The samurai wisely said, "It was good overall. Though I reviewed it once, it was alright to do it again in collaboration with some of these good friends."
"In other words, the movie was good. It even had many amazing scenes, including Darth Vader.", Ruby said for her friends.
Nice Holystone interested, "Is that so?", smiling happily.
"Also, why aren't you guys in the onsen?", wondered Yang, "I bet the others are having fun."
May said, "Me, Jam and Millia were just bathing our feet while the others have changed and sat in the onsen. It's actually a healthy benefit."
"Whatever you say. How about you, Inori?", Blake asked.
Inori Yuzuriha sweetly told, "I haven't got in the hot springs yet. I was waiting for you guys, until you've come back just now."
"And what about you, Jacuzzi and Nice?", Weiss asked.
Jacuzzi looked nervous at the question, "Well...you see...I'm a bit embarrassed."
"How come?", Ruby queried.
The boy with the sword-like tattoo replied, "I've noticed there are no males here..."
"Yeah? So?", Yang said to Jacuzzi.
He nervously continued, "...and yet there were no other springs in here besides this one... I didn't want to go and make an embarrassment of myself in front of everybody...", sobbing in apprehension, "I'm sorry!"
"Hey, hey...", Baiken calmed solemnly, "It's alright, Jacuzzi. I understand that my people all have the same gender...but for as we all know, there is another island we known about that may be far but we treat each other's people as neighbors."
Ruby realized, "Wait, there's another island? What do you mean there's a second island like this? You didn't tell us that."
"Yes. It's called Sengoku Island. I can't tell you very much about it, but everyone there all happens to be the opposite gender. However, me and my people are not misandristic the same way as that island's population isn't misogynic.", sagaciously remarked Baiken.
The leader of team RWBY then apprised, "Hey, Baiken... You know what the Edo and Sengoku Islands remind us of? Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura. We've heard it's a cultural theme park over at Nikko, Tochigi in Japan. Is it safe to assume that these places are similar to that?"
"Maybe, but it's mostly different.", corrected the pink-haired samurai, "This is a place of ancient dynasty...a civilization that has thrived for hundreds of years."
Ruby's blonde elder sister assumed thereafter, "So this place is ancestral?", as Baiken nodded to this question in confirmation, "Huh."
"I think we should see how the girls are doing.", Blake said, as the girls went over to open the shoji door leading to the hot springs.
When opening it to see the hot springs in the back, they saw all the girls sitting in the hot springs, relaxing and enjoying the warmth of the water. The hot springs was big and long enough for over 50 people, which fit everyone else in the onsen without too much crowding space.
Athena, Maka and their girlfriends Trucy and Tsubaki were seen talking to one another, the same going for Faye, Fuu and Iki, as well as Miria Harvent and Mika Harima while Celty, who is still wearing her motorcycle helmet regardlessly, was sitting by the edge of the springs besides the two. Another instance had friends Anri Sonohara and Rachel talking whilst in the springs, the latter who had taken off her usual green coverall attire, bandana and brown boots before she had entered the pool. Ty Lee and Mai were seen in the springs together, their Kyoshi Warrior makeup already removed on their faces prior to their entry into the onsen. The rest of them were all relaxing in the hot springs.
Weiss reacted, "Looks like our friends are having fun."
"We could join in, but we gotta tell everyone of how our review went.", Ruby decided, "Come.", she then said as Team RWBY and Baiken then went out through the shoji to where everyone else was in the hot springs, "Attention, everyone."
Everyone in the hot springs turned to face RWBY and Baiken.
The red-black-haired huntress then asked, "How is everyone enjoying Edo Island so far?"
"G'day, RWBY!", Natsume said in her Australian accent, "Everything be all right so far."
Sinon says, happily smiling, "These hot springs are as good as the ones back home. Me, Leafa, Asuna and Kirito all went to one of these before during a double date in the past."
"So relaxing...", Leafa sighed romantically, "Overall, Edo Island is fun, authentic to ancient Japanese history with some anachronistic elements, and a great place indeed..."
Akane also gave her opinion, "Yep, even me and Shion are both starting to think this is like a Japanese paradise we've always dreamed of."
"We see you girls got together very well. Did you guys do a review?", Maka noticed.
Yang answered her, "Basically. You know what's the best part? Her bedroom had a secret woman cave."
"A woman cave? Isn't it called a she shed-", confused Ty Lee.
Baiken replied, "They aren't the same thing. A woman cave, like the usual man cave for the male equivalent, is a secret room to relax, watch movies, play games and have fun as leisurement. People tend to have one of these."
"I just noticed you took your makeup off. I assume it's been long enough since you had it on, huh?", Ruby forgot to mention.
The acrobatic Fire Nation girl said, "Though it's waterproof, we removed it with special makeup remover from back home before we went in the springs. We're even thinking of wearing kimonos for the visit here for me and Mai."
"Finally.", relaxed Mai, "I still can't ignore the fact that being barefoot has its benefits, but maybe sandals here will do for now."
The Japanese female warrior finished, "Speaking of the woman cave, I happen to have one in my room."
"So, you mean to say you have a game collection?", Athena and Maka perked up.
The pink-haired samurai says, "Yes, indeed. Also some movies, anime, books and whatnot, though I don't own every game or movie in existence. Despite that, I'm still a samurai."
"No way.", the orange-haired attorney wowed.
Blake said, "She even owned some anime season Blu-Ray packs, including our show RWBY, and others like Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Yona of the Dawn, and then some."
"Cowboy Bebop... I've heard of that before. I was in it...", Faye reminiscenced.
Fuu joined, "So did I for Samurai Champloo..."
"Well, I do review anime one in a while, so...", Ann Takamaki confirmed, "I acknowledge the fact I was in a PS4 game called Persona 5 which happened to have an anime based off that. It was pretty damn awesome since it was nominated for Game of the Year."
Maka wondered, "So anyway, I assume you guys did a review together?"
"If so, which movie?", Tsubaki delightfully says for her meister girlfriend.
Weiss said, "We did a review of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Baiken stated she had done the movie review once already, but she was obliged to collaborate with us. But before we start off those few notes, I would like to tell you guys about what we found out during the review. It turns out that Baiken and her people are immortal!"
Miria Harvent, who looked happy and delighted during her time in the springs and most of the day, she suddenly heard this and her smile slowly drooped, her personality changing from effervescence to mild consternation.
"Immortal? What do you mean by that?", Maki Oze asked.
Tamaki Kotatsu pondered, "Why and how?"
"It turns out it must be from the sap of the giant tree we saw on the island here. It's like if by the simplest sip of it, people can be granted strength and immortality.", Ruby continued.
The sound of those words made Miria feel a bit uncomfortable by the moment, as Mika and Celty notice the blonde as Miria started to quietly breathe gradually at a rapid rate.
Yang adds, "But we do know for a fact that we can't and aren't intending to imbide it, because there's maybe usually some tough choices to make and possible consequences that could follow."
"Anyways, the movie was a hell lot of awesome. There were space battles, Darth Vader nailed it, the action sequences were impressive and the characters were good. But one sad thing happened in the story that I believe it wasn't just sad but seemed to be disappointing for some... Everyone died.", Blake revealed.
Some of their friends, including Baiken's friends (excluding the samurai herself), were surprised and shocked by this.
The blonde Miria's quiet breathing started to go at a faster rate when hearing this.
Iris gasped, "Wait, everyone? Even Vader?", worryingly.
"Heck no. This movie even turned out to be an instantaneous prequel to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. We're just saying that all the new characters in Rogue One besides veteran Star Wars characters Vader, Tarkin and Leia all died in this movie.", Weiss corrected.
Miria somehow felt her heart beating faster and faster as her anxiety rises, her eyes contracting.
Ruby then asked, "Why is it that a film has got to have all the beloved characters get all killed off for the majority of the cast? It's like the ending of Avengers: Infinity War when-"
"NO!", Miria screamed in anxiety, startling everyone.
Everyone turned to her as she saw her looking down at the spring water's reflection with a shaken fearful look, with both her hands clenching her hair and head.
Realizing what she blurted out, Miria snapped out of her anxious behavior as she then said, "I mean... Nooo... They died! Why did they have to kill off the main characters in Rogue One...? I loved them so much!", saying this and acting in a humorously dramatic display of woe, as she looked at team RWBY with usual cheery behavior, smiling.
"Okay... Didn't know you felt that devastated about the characters' fates in Rogue One. Though we admit the last scene with Vader was total badass.", admitted Ruby.
Yang mentioned, "One of two Star Wars anthology films and a billion dollars in the box office, it was indeed worth watching for the most part."
"So since you guys are in the hot springs...", said Ruby, "Count us in. We're going in.", as she and her teammates were about to take off their clothes and join the others in the springs.
Until a black-haired brown-eyed girl wearing a red kimono with a bright blue flame design on the sleeves and skirt section came into the room.
"Rin Asano. What happened?", Baiken told the girl, confirming her to be one of the residents of the Samurai Kingdom.
Rin says, "Your majesty, there's someone approaching across town. No one was injured, but this person fought off against the guards!"
"Really?", seriously questioned Baiken, looking angered by the news before she left the room in a hurry.
May, Jam and Millia all said, "Baiken!"
"Wait for us!", Inori added as she and the other three rushed to follow Baiken.
Hearing the news, team RWBY all turned back to their friends and excused, "On second thought, it can wait for another time. We gotta see what's going on."
"We wish we could come but we can't get out of the springs just right now. Don't want to expose ourselves of our nudity!", Natsume said.
Ohana blushed, "It would be inappropriate in public...!"
"Good luck, guys.", Sinon, Athena and Maka wished good luck.
As they saw team RWBY leave, Ty Lee decided to leave the spring, getting out and saying, "RWBY! Wait for me!", covering herself and grabbing a towel.
"I'm coming too!", Natsume followed suit, grabbing a towel and covering herself as well.
Ohana Matsumae worried, "Where are you off to?"
"I just wanna find out what the John Dory is going on!", says Natsume in her Australian accent, going off with Ty Lee.
Miria Harvent insisted, "Let me come too!", also snatching a towel and censoring herself, "Just let me change first!", as she went off to change with Natsume and Ty.
Ohana confused after a few silent moments, "Who's John Dory?"
As Baiken, Inori, May, Jam, Millia and team RWBY left the former's castle and stopped outside of it, they saw a mysterious figure approaching far away from the castle, as the center thoroughfare was seemingly empty at the moment with the Samurai Kingdom inhabitants having gone to different areas of the city. It appears that the figure had defeated the guards and bypassed through the security forces.
"Who is that?", Ruby asks as she and the others see the figure, trying to take a better look at it.
As the figure comes closer from afar, they then saw the figure's appearance.
It happened to be a slender young woman with long white hair and red highlights, wearing a Jack-o'-lantern-like mask that glowed a light-green lantern effect through the eyes, nose and mouth, and a prison weight that's chained to her left ankle, which also glowed the same color through the Jack-o'-lantern design. She was also wearing a white skin-tight one piece that loosens up and has slits at her forearms and calves; she also wore a rosary-like necklace, a black belt with a gold skull buckle on her waist, and her arms are decorated with similar belts, wearing black and red gloves (which has white fingernail tips on them) and matching heels as well. And to cap it all off, there was a compass-like pale-yellow halo hovering above her head.
"Who is that...?", Yang seriously said in suspicion, "And why does she look like she's wearing something from Halloween? That was a few weeks ago!"
Baiken told, "Let me handle this.", ensuring the girls.
"But, Baiken... We can help-", Blake and Weiss offered, "Damn it, we forgot our semblances don't work here on Earth. It only works back at Remnant... We learned that ever since the RT Summer-Con back a year ago and the Niagara Falls trip earlier this year..."
Ruby and Yang groaned, "Bummer... It would've been badass if we can use our semblances here..."
"Just stay here and let me deal with this. Situations like this and by the looks of this, things are gonna get ugly.", the samurai woman says as she conjured up a tatami mat, holding her sword intact with her teeth.
Suddenly, the mysterious girl with the green glowing Jack-o'-lantern mask then ran forward, Baiken leapt into the air and swept across, the pink-haired Edo Island warrior making her first move by slamming the tatami mat on her, the mat breaking into several pieces as it knocked the mysterious enemy down for a bit. The young woman got back on her feet almost instantly as she confronted the female samurai, the latter who takes her sword after holding it with her teeth when using the tatami mat as a means of assault.
The mysterious woman makes her first move by grabbing the jack-o'-lantern like flail and try to smash Baiken back at her, but the latter dodges and grabs the chain in order to fight back, but the girl jumped over and landed behind Baiken. When the pink-haired samurai turned around, the mysterious woman retrieves her flail and chain before she flipped upside down, kicking her and forcing her against the machiya townhouse wall.
However, as the mysterious girl charges towards Baiken, the latter uses her sword to try to make an offending move, but the foe blocks it intensely with her clawed, gloved hands. Fortunately, this gave Baiken the chance to use her other arm (which contained a variety of secret weapons that is hidden with her torn right sleeve of her outfit) as a claw, slamming her head into the wall although the mask had protected her. Baiken then tries to hit her with her fist which she is holding her sword with, yet the mysterious Jack-o'-lantern girl moved out of the way, the latter wrapping her flail around Baiken's feet and punching her in the face, the samurai being knocked down.
The girl then lunged at the pink-haired woman, while the latter manages to use her other arm as a mace, hitting her aside yet the former got back on her feet and tried to use her flail again, but Baiken kept defending herself by using her sword.
Meanwhile back with RWBY, Inori and Baiken's friends, they witness the samurai and the Jack-o'-lantern girl fight as the girls were all rooting for Baiken.
"Baiken...", Ruby and Yang worried.
Blake said and notifies, "I know we should help them, but it seems like Baiken has a lot of experience as the ruler of this island."
"I can see that...", cautiously told Weiss, "Hope they're okay."
Then the girls heard three people arriving to meet RWBY and the others, them being Ty Lee, Natsume and Miria Harvent, who changed to their regular outfits except for Ty Lee, who had brought and was using her casual red Fire Nation-like outfit from back home since her Kyoshi Warrior makeup had been removed for now.
Natsume panted, "What...happened...?"
"What took you so long?", Ruby questioned in a worry.
Ty Lee apologized, "Sorry. We were just in the hot springs earlier so we had to dry ourselves off and change to our normal outfits."
"Who is Baiken fighting?", asked Miria as she witnessed the two fighting, "The other looks like if she's wearing a Halloween costume."
Yang proved, "See what I mean?", to the others, "It's been a few weeks since it ended already! But we really think we probably should go and help..."
"Maybe not. You know what they say in the 2014 Godzilla movie... Let them fight.", Blake joked.
Weiss guarantees, "But if something goes wrong, we can help."
"I hope so.", confesses Ruby as they continued watching, as she pulled out and used her Crescent Rose to shoot a bullet in the air.
Back in the fight, the mysterious woman wrapped her legs around Baiken's waist, trying to attack with her clawed, gloved hands, but Baiken does an uppercut which knocks her aback, as the enemy got back on her feet.
Then the fight got more intense as Baiken puts her sword in her sheath momentarily, before using her other arm as a spear. The Jack-o'-lantern girl swung her flail like a whip before the two of them charged forward.
Baiken then swings her spear, colliding it with the masked woman as it damaged her mask quite a bit, knocking her down once again. Unfortunately as the enemy got back up, she lunged at Baiken only for the latter to grab her by the throat, but she wraps her flail around her waist this time, before she shoves Baiken, makes a backflip and lands right back up, and then swung Baiken around and sees her flying and crashing into a machiya restaurant townhouse!
As the girls including RWBY were seeing this in the meantime, Kuradoberi Jam was the most shocked when she sees the mysterious woman send Baiken crashing into the restaurant.
Jam's restaurant.
"My beautiful restaurant!", Kuradoberi Jam said as she felt devastated, her jaw dropped and her emotions surprised and horrified at the same time; she felt distressed all of a sudden, clutching her arms to her chest, "My heart...beats...for..."
Inori Yuzuriha sees this and said, "Now that person done it."
"What does she mean? Is she a restaurant owner?", Ruby and Yang suppose.
The pink-haired friend of Baiken's mentioned, "Oh, yeah. She runs a restaurant here but she also spends time with Baiken alongside the other three of us."
"And now she's losing it.", May and Millia warned.
Team RWBY were surprised and said in unison, "I think that strange woman must've pushed her berserk button..."
Back in the battle, Baiken lied in a heap of rubble, groaning. She gets back up, the rubble dispersing by her movements. However, she felt her prosthetic weaponized arm get stuck as she tried to rise.
"What the... Come on!", Baiken struggled.
Then, she heard someone say;
"Trick or treat. By yours truly, Jack-O' Valentine."
The one who said it was the one wearing the Jack-o'-lantern mask who was fighting her.
Baiken grunted, "You... Invader... Why must you attack my kingdom and harm my people?", pulling out her samurai sword from her sheath with her other arm and pointing it at Jack-O'.
"Oh, I was just dropping in to, you know, make sure my specifically specialized task I was given to was to kill the monarch ruler of this island.", innocently says Jack-O'.
The female samurai angrily demanded, "Who... WHO SENT YOU?", as she put her sword sideways in preparation to strike back at her.
"I matters not for this inevitable moment being. And now that my mission is almost at full capacity of completion, I shall definitively kill you on the spot...", giggled the masked woman, as she came closer and makes a menacing gesture with her clawed, gloved hands at the ready, "Farewell..."
Suddenly Jack-O' felt something impact her on the back of the head, shattering with the sound of a dish breaking. She turns over to see whoever did it.
It was Kuradoberi Jam. However, she looked pissed off at the mysterious foe.
The martial artist pointed at the white-haired girl, "You! You're destroying my restaurant and made me VERY mad!"
"Yeah? So?", Jack-O' asks.
Jam growled, "Now this is what will happen to those who damage my restaurant AND try to hurt my friend!", doing a battle pose in preparation.
"I see... Well, I can take that kind of elaborate challenge...", the white-haired girl interested, getting up and turning to face Kuradoberi, the former's flail hitting Baiken as she struggled to get up; Jack-O' charges at Jam, and the latter surprisingly then spun in mid-air and performs a side kick, hitting the former successfully to the side. Soon after, Baiken's other two friends May and Millia came to their friend's aid.
RWBY said as they watched the battle, "Yeah! Go get 'em!", whilst cheering with Inori Yuzuriha, Natsume, Ty Lee and Miria Harvent, the four teammates lifting their huntress weapons up in the air.
"YOU CAN DO IT!", Miria cheerfully yelled out to May, Millia and Jam battling.
May then used her trusty giant anchor to slam Jack-O' with it, but the latter dodges and attempted to assault the Jellyfish Pirate by using her flail, with the young pirate defending herself by reflecting the enemy's flail with her anchor.
Millia uses her hair, which is infused by the power of the Forbidden Beast known as Angra, as a weapon as it shapeshifts into a sword in order to strike Jack-O', yet the latter dodges it yet again and tries kicking her as an offense. Millia's hair defended her as well by acting as a shield when Jack-O' tried to kick and use her jack-o'-lantern-like flail against her, sending the blonde girl flying back a few meters. Immediately, Jam kicks Jack-O' by doing her signature Gasenkotsu move in a rage, levelling her to the ground.
Baiken tries to get up from the wreckage inside the restaurant, but her weaponized arm was stuck in the rubble. She puts her sword back in her sheath and gradually gets back up on her feet as she tugged harder.
After a few moments back with the three girls fighting Jack-O', the white-haired girl manages to get the upper hand as she swung her flail around whilst spinning upside down, hitting May and Millia yet Jam dodges it.
"Get away from them!", Baiken called out as she tried to break her prosthetic arm free from the rubble, until shortly after she finally broke free, her arm not critically damaged or snapped from its chains. The samurai then angrily grunted as she yells a battle cry.
RWBY and the others heard this as Miria said, "Baiken...", as they saw the three other friends of Baiken fight Jack-O'.
Regaining her strength, Baiken was about to help her friends but not before she changed her weaponized arm from a claw to a bladed fan.
As May got back up on her feet too, she threw her giant anchor towards Jack-O', sending her flying back a few meters as well and rebounding the anchor back to the Jellyfish Pirate.
"Come on, you girls.", Yang muttered as she watched with Ruby, Blake, Weiss and the others when seeing May, Jam and Millia fight against Jack-O', the group of girls cheering.
But all of it was short-lived at the moment when Jack-O' rushes towards the three, making a flurry of offenses with her flail and physical attacks, successfully hitting May, Jam and Millia all at once.
Miraculously, Baiken then bursts out of Jam's wrecked restaurant, as she swung her prosthetic arm which was now weaponized as a bladed fan, at Jack-O'!
The bladed fan then impaled and embedded into Jack-O' Valentine's right shoulder on the back, causing her to shriek in pain and putting her down once again, the facial expression on her jack-o'-lantern mask showing exclaimation. With the successful throw, Baiken began reeling her in with the bladed fan impaled in her shoulder.
"There ya go!", Yang cheered as she and the others saw the battle.
Ruby cheered, "BAIKEN!", with Blake and Weiss proud by this.
Natsume and Ty Lee smiled.
"You can do it, Baiken...", Miria Harvent proudly said in amazement.
As the pink-haired Japanese warrior reels Jack-O' in, she switches her weaponized arm from a bladed fan to a chain rope, attempting to choke her to death by wrapping it around her neck. Jack-O', in a few moments, tries to break free and eventually hits Baiken with her elbow, letting her go. The enemy tries to fight back, but Baiken grabs her by the head, leaps and slams her to the ground, before making an uppercut to Jack-O's lower jaw, knocking her down once more.
Baiken then backed up as when Jack-O' slowly gotten back up, Baiken's weaponized arm switches from a chain rope to a feudal cannon (that has a design similar to the cannons from Kung Fu Panda 2), seconds before shooting a cannonball at Jack-O' at the right opportunity, sending her straight through into another machiya townhouse!
"YEAAAAH!", said team RWBY back at the castle where they and the others are, seeing Baiken having (seemingly) defeated Jack-O'.
Baiken, taking deep breaths from the exhausting battle, then came over to the unconscious Millia after the latter, May and Jam were hit during the battle. Speaking of the latter two, they regained consciousness at that moment as they groaned, before seeing Baiken take care of her blonde friend.
Fortunately, Millia too regains her consciousness, seeing Baiken look at her.
"I knew you and the others could come.", Baiken simply smiled despite her seriousness.
Millia Rage says, "Why wouldn't we? After all, we are your comrades. We follow your lead, no matter what."
May and Kuradoberi Jam smiled to this, before the two saw something.
As Baiken and Millia exchange smiles to each other, the latter's expression turns from calm to worry as she witnessed something inevitable.
Jack-O' suddenly lunges at Baiken from behind, stabbing Baiken on her back and causing the two of them to somersault while Millia moved out of the way just in time!
As the two got on their feet, the masked girl tries to lunge at the samurai again, but the latter grabs her by the head, preventing her from striking back while the former tries to claw her arm in order to break free. Jack-O' uses her flail once again to wrap her weaponized arm to prevent her from making another strike as well.
However, Baiken then manages to switch her feudal cannon to her claw again, grabbing Jack-O's face whilst her arm was wrapped by the masked woman's flail.
With all her might, Baiken tugs at the mask on Jack-O's face, pulling upwards as she finally manages to remove the girl's mask clean off without damaging the latter's face, the mask's green glow darkening completely.
Dropping the mask, Baiken unsheathing her sword almost immediately to prepare the final blow at Jack-O'...
...but the latter turned turned and suddenly Baiken was surprised and hesitated by how she looked like.
She had fair skin, with red beautiful eyes and a face that reminded her of someone she knew from a long time ago.
Someone she had lost.
Jack-O' looked innocent with a look that transcribes as a 'don't kill me' emotion, everything going slow motion as Baiken sees her resemblance.
Right then, Baiken flips her sword and she instead knocks Jack-O' out with the other end of the sword.
Back with RWBY, Natsume, Ty Lee and Inori Yuzuriha, the seven of them then all cheered when seeing Baiken knock Jack-O' out, ending the fight although acknowledging the former's hesitation before doing so.
"BAIKEN! BAIKEN! BAIKEN!", Ruby, Yang, Blake and Weiss roared in happiness while the other three smiled.
Then Athena, Maka, Sinon and the rest of their friends came to where RWBY, Natsume, Ty Lee and Inori were, all except for Jacuzzi Splot.
"Oh, hey! Guess what? Baiken managed to stop the threat!", the Fire Nation girl Ty said to her friend Mai, the latter who had now changed to her casual Fire Nation outfit.
Miria wondered to her friend Nice Holystone, "Where's Jacuzzi?"
"We left the hot springs, so he's having a nice bath before we'll take a rest.", Nice reminded.
The brown-eyed blonde sweetened, "Good for him."
Baiken, after she had defeated Jack-O' by knocking her out and tending to her back wound from the battle, then sees May and Jam help carry Millia as the Jellyfish Pirate said, "How is she?"
"She's fine. I knocked her out so she can't attack. I made sure her glowing mask was removed as well. But her face...she looked so familiar...", Baiken confirmed and thought over, reflecting on the girl's resemblance.
Millia, Jam and May all presume, "Could she be...", before they notice something on their friend, "Baiken... Your wound.", as their female samurai notices her wound stopped bleeding as it seemed to have vanished.
"Yeah. Figures since we're all gifted with strength and immortality.", says Baiken as May, Jam and Millia were aware of it since they too were also immortal.
The four of them then saw many of the Samurai Kingdom's inhabitants and pedestrians coming to the site of the incidence, witnessing Baiken now having resolved the threat with the white-haired girl.
The female guards then came as well, showing no harm done besides the damage taken to their armor.
Baiken carried Jack-O's unconscious body to the guards with her only arm (besides her weaponized prosthetic arm), saying, "Take this girl into custody. Make sure she doesn't escape and don't kill her. That's enough chaos for one day.", giving them Jack-O' along with her removed mask.
"Yes, my lord.", one of the female guards devotedly said, while Baiken and her other three comrade friends then left the scene on the way back to their friends at the samurai woman's castle, with some of the Samurai Kingdom's inhabitants cheering for their feudal lord.
As Baiken meets up with RWBY and the others, the four teammates congratulated, "You were SO incredible out there! I know your three friends assisted you in battle, but oh my gosh, you weren't kidding when you said you were immortal."
"You saw my wound, right? It healed right away...", stated Baiken, "I might've hesitated there... The girl's name was Jack-O' Valentine, but... She reminded me of someone..."
Ruby solemnly asked, "Do you think it's Aria?"
"I'm not entirely sure...", earnestly guessed Baiken, "...but for now, the threat has resolved. Maybe there's more to this mystery that is left to be solved at a later time."
Yang considerably agreed, "We have to agree."
"Jack-O' Valentine... Isn't that the...", Maka asks too.
Baiken sternly confirmed, "Yes. Like me and my friends, we're characters in the Guilty Gear games."
"I thought so.", the meister nodded.
Sinon yawns, "We suppose it's been a long day. Maybe a long night as wel."
"And we're getting pretty tired.", exhaustedly says Leafa.
Athena pointed out, "Considering the fact that it's ALMOST ONE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING, and we need to rest! Although I do admit everything here, even the hot springs, was amazing, shouldn't we start going to sleep in our friend's castle tonight?"
"Yeah, that sounds great. The four of us will sleep in one guest room, and the rest can have their own guest rooms.", arranged Blake and Weiss.
Ruby notifies everyone, "Plus, Baiken has her own bedroom and woman cave included, while her friends Inori, May, Jam and Millia here have their own rooms."
"Sweet! We'll all share one room!", Faye, Fuu and Iki happily said in unison.
Akane Tsunemori and Maki Oze both smiled, "We'll start by brushing our teeth. Is there any bathrooms over at the castle?"
"There are furo rooms but sinks are included, yes.", Baiken affirmed.
Natsume answered in her Australian accent, "Then it's settled, mate!"
"She's so good when she has her Australian accent.",apprised Ty Lee, smiling with glee.
Ruby organized, "Let's go, everyone. We've got a great day ahead of us. It wouldn't be better without Baiken here for bringing us to this ancient paradise and being a brand-new addition to our Sociality Event."
"You can say that again.", the serious samurai woman Baiken can't help but smile once more at RWBY and the others, as everyone then decided to go back to Baiken's Edo-style castle to get ready for bed since it was late at night.
And maybe celebrate tomorrow along the way.
As we see RWBY and the others go inside, Baiken smiled happily as she puts her balled fist to her chest and cheered in proud victory against Jack-O', before we zoom in closer and closer on Baiken and on her sole pink eye (since her other eye had an tsuba eyepatch in its place; akin to the end of the last review (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over).
