"20 years ago the great pirate era began, I wasn't even alive but the man, known as Gold D. Roger was executed, leaving his treasure behind."
"The One Piece, ever since that day, pirates appeared like insects all over the world and began the great search all over the grand line to gain everything this world has to offer."
"Money, Fame, happiness? Whatever they think will come from it, they're searching for it out there." Valentine pointed towards the window.
"Many have died, many have been arrested by marines, and others have become powerful figures. They raise their bounties and soon they stray from their goals, only wishing to terrorize others and steal from people who are weaker." Naruto clenched his fists.
"Many fear pirates because of this. There are a few, but they disappeared nearly 2 years ago, their kindness and the stories of the islands they saved travelled all over the grand line, but other pirates are bad... They steal, they kill and they hurt people because they can!" Valentine clenched her fists, her nails digging into the skin in her palms.
"I understand Valentine-chan, we promise, if we become pirates we'll be the good kind!" Naruto giggled.
"Believe it!"
Sasuke hit Naruto. "Dobe, who said we're gonna be pirates?"
Naruto rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bump. "Oww... Teme..." Naruto glared.
Valentine only chuckled, covering her mouth and wiping away fresh tears.
"I can tell you're nice people, I'm gonna enjoy your stay, even if we have to part someday." Naruto and Sasuke turned their attention to the mermaid.
"Yosh! Let's eat now! I can't talk anymore my stomach is too empty!"
"Right I'm so sorry for distracting you!" She bowed her head and apologized.
"All good!" Naruto grinned, wolfing down the rest of the soup. "More please!"
She nodded her head and went back to the kitchen. Naruto took this opportunity to grab Sasuke by the shoulders and whisper to him.
"Sasuke we're gonna be easy targets here if we expose ourselves... Valentine-chan was right, we have to lay low until we regain our strength. It's a miracle Kaguya let us keep our powers so we must be careful." Naruto looked serious and this caused Sasuke to snort.
"Usuratonkachi... We're fine, Valentine-san explained everything to us, we won't go outside unless absolutely necessary and we'll use our powers in small amounts, deal?" Sasuke reached his hand out and Naruto took it, grinning.
"Deal."
(A week later)
"My back!" Naruto whined.
"Shut up dobe." Sasuke sighed, wiping down the kitchen counter.
Valentine headed to work as usual and Naruto and Sasuke cleaned the house for her. They had healed pretty quickly, much to her surprise but quickly chalked it off as a different world-thing so she would stop pestering them.
"Sasuke... I'm not even half way done." Naruto complained.
"Just use your shadow clones." Suddenly Naruto's eyes sparkled at the idea and he created a few shadow clones to do the work for him.
"Wow Sasuke, you're so smart!" Naruto chuckled, finally resting a bit against the counter.
He watched Sasuke clean and couldn't help but smile. He looked so domestic and if the past couple of day's had taught him anything, it was that Sasuke was surprisingly good at house chores like cooking, cleaning and laundry!
"Dobe, do you want me to give you a massage?" Sasuke glanced at Naruto.
"Yes please!" Sasuke sighed, turning away before he threw the rage he was using in the laundry basket.
"Alright, give me a moment." Naruto smiled and nodded, sitting down on the couch.
Lately their relationship has gotten better, Sasuke no longer wanted to kill him at every meet and they had started doing small things to comfort each other, finally accepting that they were stuck together no matter what. They had accepted their fates not long after they woke up and Valentine dropped a bunch of bomb shells on them, they would probably be in this world for a long time, and for the time being they could only confide in each other. Their home was far away, and they couldn't go back, so they clung to each other's comfort and company, being the only ones who knew each other by heart, they settles for friendship instead of rivarly.
Oh man, was Naruto enjoying it!
"Dobe sit up, I can't give you a massage when your back is against the couch." Sasuke deadpanned and Naruto chuckled, turning sideways.
Sasuke sat behind him, placing his hands on Naruto's shoulders and kneading the knots out of them, moving to his back and even going back up to his neck. Naruto relaxed, exhaling sharply each time Sasuke relieved another part of his body.
"Sasuke?"
"Hm?"
"Do you think that everybody else is okay?" Sasuke stopped massaging him for a few seconds, clearly surprised.
He continued shortly after overcoming the initial surprise and sighed. "Naruto, I'm sure they are fine, Kaguya promised remember? Even if she did this to us, I trust her with that much."
Naruto hummed and nodded. "Alright, if you say so."
Sasuke sighed, finishing off the massage soon after. He then turned around, exposing his back to Naruto.
"My turn." He said flatly.
Naruto scowled. "I knew you could never just do something nice without something in return!"
"Shut up, my back isn't gonna massage itself."
"Whatever!"
(Week 3)
"Valentine-san?" Sasuke walked into the kitchen.
"Hm? What's up Sasuke-kun?" She smiled.
He sighed. "Do you think we can have onigiri tonight?" He blushed, looking at the ground.
Valentine nodded, patting him on the back a little, she also reached up, ruffling his hair like he was a kid. Naruto watched the exchange and laughed.
"You're such a kid Sasuke!"
"Shut up teme!" Sasuke covered his face in an attempt to hide his blush but it only caused Naruto to laugh even harder.
Valentine chuckled. "Come on Naruto, I'm older than both of you, you're like my little bothers!" She smiled widely, getting out the right ingredients to start lunch.
"Woah! An older sibling? Can I call you one-san?" Naruto grinned.
Sasuke clenched his fists, wanting to slap Naruto at how blunt he was. Valentine blushed but nodded, returning the expression and grinning widely at Naruto.
"Sure, both of you can call me whatever you like." Sasuke bit his lip, walking back to the couch to sit with Naruto.
"Alright! Thanks one-san!" Naruto chuckled, Sasuke just picked up his book, continued where he left off.
"Ne Sasuke! You say it too!" Naruto shook him, pouting.
"Hell no!" Sasuke screeched when Naruto tackled him and began tickling him.
"Say it!"
"Alright! Alright!"
"Thank you... one-san..." Naruto his his face in his sweater, covering his face in a poor attempt to hide his blush.
Naruto giggled and Valentine followed, shaking her head in amusement.
"No problem Naruto-kun, Sasuke-kun." They nodded and soon they went back to their previous states, reading and drawing.
"How cute..." She chuckled.
(2 months in)
"Damn it Naruto! Get off of me!" Sasuke shoved the other.
"Sasuke shut up! We're supposed to be in disguise." Naruto complained.
Valentine felt a tick appear on her forehead at how annoyed she was, their bickering is very cute, but they were trying not to get caught.
"Guys please! Be quiet." They both shut their mouths when they heard her yell, it was surely an uncommon occurrence so it surprised both of them.
"Sorry..." They both muttered and she smiled.
"It's alright, but we need to be cautious, we're in public." Valentine warned and they both nodded, shutting their mouths.
"Alright, let's buy you guys some new clothes." She treaded carefully, walking to the nearest shopping store, making a beeline for the male section.
"Alright pick out something you like." Both Sasuke and Naruto followed after he carefully, picking out some clothes they liked.
"Buy yourselves socks and underwear first, we don't have enough money for a lot... But I managed to save a generous amount." Valentine informed them.
Sasuke and Naruto picked a good amount, knowing they could always share if they needed it, and then decided to check out the other clothes the store had to offer. Both of them chose colours and styles that fit their general characters.
"You guy's got everything you need?" She looked over the clothing.
Naruto's clothes consisted of things in the colour of red, orange and black while Sasuke's were mainly dark blue or black, some purple here and there. She smiled fondly at the two, she already expected this.
"Valentine-san... I checked the prices, we should have enough." Sasuke held the clothes out to her.
"You... Calculated it?" She gaped, with each day these two continue to surprise her.
"Ugh... Yeah he's really good at math... Must be Uchiha genetics." Naruto groaned, lowly, trying not to let anybody hear.
Valentine nodded, satisfied. "Alright, you guys go outside and wait in the alley, I'll buy these and then we can head home."
Naruto and Sasuke both nodded, making their way out of the store carefully, Valentine went to the cash register.
The woman stared at her, unimpressed. "Those two your brothers?" Valentine flinched and coughed a bit to clear her throat.
"Y-yeah, my younger brothers, their clothes got torn up because they were getting in fights so we had to buy new ones." She gave the cashier a wobbly smile.
The woman nodded, accepting the explanation and quickly scanned the clothes, allowing Valentine to escape the awkward conversation.
"Alright, you guys-" She looked at the alley to find both of the shinobi standing above a pile of bodies, fishmen bodies.
"You two! What the hell?!" Valentine yelled, grabbing them by the ears.
The winced and whined at the stinging feeling. "They were picking on some kids!" Naruto complained.
"Yeah..." Sasuke agreed.
Valentine sighed and let go of their ears, inhaling deeply before she regained her composure and handed them the bags of clothes.
"Alright, guys I understand. It's not right but you have to stay low!" She whisper yelled, beginning to walk the other way, the other two following like lost puppies.
"Alright, we're sorry!" They both bowed, hot on her tail.
"It's fine, but you guys are making lunch today!" She chuckled.
"Sasuke should do it because he's better at cooking!" Naruto whisper yelled, catching up and walking beside Valentine.
"Whatever dobe..."
(The day of the strawhats arrival)
"Valentine-chan look!" Naruto showed the newspaper in her face.
"Its the pirates you were talking about, the really good ones. Looks like they're back!" Naruto cheered.
Valentine smiled and nodded her head, feeling a little excited at the new information, while Sasuke just looked indifferent as always.
"Guys, come here." Sasuke motioned for them to come over, waving his hand.
He showed them a few notes, clearly not in his own writing because it was far too messy and unorganised.
'The strawhats will arrive on fishman island... I've followed them but I don't know if I should warn somebody...'
'Perhaps for whoever finds this note, you will know what to do! I trust you stranger!'
"Sasuke? How long have you had this?" Valentine took the notes in her hands and looked at the boy.
"I found it a couple of days ago when we went out for lunch, I saw some guys running away, and I checked it out, I remembered the name but I didn't think it was anything serious until I heard they were back." He explained, trading the information for the newspaper.
He crossed his legs and let his gaze fall on the words, reading the news and stocking any information they didn't know about this world. He kept seeing words like 'Marines and Pirates' or even a couple of days ago he had heard about Germa... and the nobles. He had to learn as much as he could for both him and Naruto, using his journal to jot down important things when he had the spare time.
"Isn't that good? They can help liberate people! Maybe even save fishman island!" Naruto chuckled, but Valentine shook her head.
"Guys, this is serious. They may be strong, but they are well known for doing things without a plan." Sasuke and Naruto glanced at each other and gulped, their throats dry.
"We can help." Naruto said, determined. "Believe it!"
"No. Naruto that's the problem Valentine-san is trying to translate to us." Valentine nodded at Sasuke's words and Naruto sat back down, defeated.
"You guys are not normal... I mean in a good way!" She reassured them, they both smiled and nodded for her to continue.
"Your powers are too great, I've seen only a small amount and I can tell you'd easily beat a fishman, but that makes it dangerous, if you were to be seen... Even a tiny slip up and you could be enslaved, the amount of people who would want to experiment on you and use you?" She hugged them close.
"Promise me something" She said calmly.
"That if you can, you'll get out of here on your own terms, not on mine, not on anybody else's but on your own." They frowned, hugging her back.
"We've only know each other for... What four months? Yet you guys mean so much to me, I wanna see you someday again, so please if you leave, have a good life... Like somebody told me, live, don't hold grudges and don't let me hold you back." She had fresh tears streaming down her face.
"You understand what I'm saying?" Sasuke sighed, letting the biggest smile grace his lips.
"Woah! You're smiling like a kid!" Naruto laughed, Valentine sniffed, joining in.
"Yeah, don't get use to is dobe." Sasuke turned to Valentine and nodded. "We'll go if we have a chance."
Naruto cheered in the background. "Valentine one-san gave us permission to become pirates!" He laughed, falling to the ground.
She nodded. "Of course."
"Don't worry, I'll take care of the dobe, I can cook and clean and he'll fight." She whistled, patting his head.
"Just like his older sister." Sasuke blushed, a few weeks ago he would've denied it, but he had a feeling in his gut that they would part ways soon... (Oh boy was he right)
"Yeah... Just like one-san." He sighed, looking at the ground, refusing to cry.
"Come on, lunch isn't gonna make itself!" Valentine got up and Naruto followed.
Sasuke clenched his fists, sighing. "Dammit, what do we do now?"
(The strawhats...)
Naruto had a wide grin on his face, watching the straw hats fight. Sasuke covered his face, wanting to his Naruto.
"Dobe! We're literally in the open! Why did you drag me out here?!" Sasuke whisper yelled, avoiding the bodies flying towards them.
"I'm sorry I just wanted to see the fighting!"
"Teme..." Sasuke snarled, Naruto efficiently dodged his kicks.
"Okay! Let's just watch! Over there on that roof!" Naruto jumped, followed by Sasuke and they sat down, hiding from the public view but being able to see the major details.
"The big fight is gonna start! Did you bright the rice crackers?" Naruto turned to Sasuke.
The raven haired male nodded, reaching in his bag and handing Naruto the packet.
"Thank godness Valentine-chan is always thinking of us! We would've starved already!" He exclaimed.
Sasuke deadpanned. "Dobe, we ate an hour ago."
"Sh, sh, sh, starvation..." Naruto whispered, causing a tick to appear on Sasuke's forehead out of irriatation.
"Oh look! The strawhat boy is gonna beat that guy up! Watch!" Naruto yelled, and Sasuke brought his attention to the fight.
They both winced when they saw the boy get bit. "Are those fangs?! Unfair!"
"What are you? A commentator?" Sasuke asked, as much as he wanted to tease Naruto he was quite interested in the fight himself.
"He looks angry! Look!" Naruto chuckled, he looked at the other people who seemed to be Luffy's crewmates, cheering him on.
"Hehe! What a good crew, Sasuke do you think they'll let us join?" Naruto turned to Sasuke.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "Eat you food, dumbass."
"Who pissed in your cereal?" Naruto grumbled, munching on the rice cracker.
Sasuke's eyebrow twitched and he hit Naruto upside the head. "Ow! Sasuke!" He whined but the Uchiha looked back at the fighting, ignoring the blonde.
"Woah?! A cyborg?!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Wait! I can't see the strawhat! Unfair!" Naruto whined, sighing. "Whatever."
"Hey is that a skeleton?" Sasuke questioned, pointing towards Brook.
"Oh yeah!" This went on for several more minutes, if not hours as they chatted away, giving their comments and reactions to the fight.
It was kind of shameless... Knowing full well they could fight and help out but they decided not to, listening to Valentine's advice.
"Look it's the strawhat!" Sasuke's gaze snapped towards the woman, wailing and yelling for help, carrying Luffy in her arms.
"Damn... He won but is he even still alive?" Sasuke cocked his head, grabbing his water bottle and gulping down a hefty amount.
"He'll live! We have to go! They might leave soon." Sasuke opened his mouth to protest but Naruto had already leaped off the building.
'That idiot...! I'm gonna kill him!'
Sasuke followed Naruto, sneaking with him to get closer to watch the scene and listen in.
"He's lacking blood!" They heard a soft voice as they came closer.
With hoods over their heads, they blended in, pretending to be like the rest.
"Luffy is gonna die!" Naruto's jaw dropped to the floor.
"What- They're really gonna let him die after all of the things he did for them?!" Naruto nearly yelled, but Sasuke slapped a hand over his mouth, apologizing to the couple that flinched away from the noise.
"Sorry..." He muttered before turning to Naruto.
"Dobe! Quiet!"
"Take my blood. It's F." Naruto and Sasuke looked up at the fishman.
"That's Jinbe!" Sasuke whispered, shaking Naruto.
"Who?"
"The previous warlord! He's the guy who was in the war at marineford." Sasuke whispered.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, confused. "You idiot... I read through the newspapers Valentine-san had laying around..." They suddenly tuned out the scene, not bothering as everything was set up.
"There was this big war where strawhat's brother got killed." Naruto frowned but motioned for Sasuke to go on.
"Apparently he went there to save him, and Jinbe was being held in the same cell as his brother, later on he managed to save strawhat by sustaining injuries of his own." Naruto nodded, muttering something.
"It was speculated that the two formed some type of alliance, but now it really might be true!" Sasuke exclaimed.
"Why hadn't you said so earlier?"
"I didn't recognize him, I only saw his back when he was fighting." Naruto nodded, sighing.
"Hey look!" Sasuke turned to the scene again, eyes widening a little in surprise.
"Luffy!" The strawhats yelled.
"Yosh! Let's go!" Sasuke turned to Naruto, watching him run away.
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. "He's gonna be the death of me."
Sasuke followed after him. They both managed to make their way through the crowd, tuning out the cheering behind them and they ran straight for the Sunny.
"Naruto are you sure this is a good idea? I mean... We haven't met them, and suddenly we appear on their ship? Like are you serious? Did you even think this through?" Naruto giggled.
"No! We're gonna surprise them... Plus Valentine-chan promised to meet us at the dock when she sees them set sail, so we can't, not say goodbye right?" Sasuke nodded, accepting the stupid logic he had to offer.
"Sure, why not..."
The two sat in silence, blending in for the most part. "This is getting boring... How long do they plan to party?" Sasuke closed his eyes.
"Right? I mean I love a little celebration but they're so dense..."
"You cannot be the one saying that Naruto, that's too hypocritical." Sasuke said flatly, completely serious.
"Shut up teme!"
"Maybe if you want them to notice you, then you should go up to them." Sasuke suggested.
Naruto bit his lip. "I'm nervous."
"Oh really? Maybe we should've... Hm? I don't know... Greeted them like normal people?!" Sasuke whisper yelled.
Right on que, the reindeer they called a doctor screamed, the music stopped and so did the laughter of the rest of the crew.
"Chopper? What's wrong?!" Nami quickly went to him, cupping his shaking figure.
"T-two... Intruders!" Chopper ran and hid behind Zoro who unsheathed his swords.
Sanji raised his leg, Usopp grabbed his slingshot, Luffy jumped up, followed by the rest of the strawhats. They looked at the two shadowed figures.
"Hey! Who are you?!" Franky yelled.
They heard a deep but smooth voice, definitely a male. "Teme... I told you this was a bad idea!" He sounded annoyed.
"Shut up!" The other yelled.
The strawhats deadpanned when the two started bickering, slowly coming into view. The raven haired man wore a black button down shirt, the first two buttons undone to expose his pale chest, his pants and shoes were semi formal, while the blonde wore causal clothes, similar to Luffy's.
"Look the plan was better in my head!" Naruto yelled.
"Yeah in your head! YOUR HEAD! Do you understand- Wait" Sasuke knocked on Naruto's head. "Its empty!"
Some of the strawhats couldn't help but laugh, still not letting their guard down.
"You!-" Naruto grabbed Sasuke's collar, flinging him across the deck.
Sasuke conveniently flew into Luffy, sending them both overboard.
"LUFFY!" The crew shouted.
Sanji prepared to jump into the water, but was stopped when he saw Sasuke jump out, landing safely on the railing. He looked pissed, and they were ready to fight... But his target wasn't them..
"T-teme... We can talk about this?" Nami dragged a hand over her face.
"Do we not exist... Or?" Usopp leaned, whispering to her.
Luffy hung on Sasuke's back, panting. He opened his eyes fully and looked surprised.
"You absolute- degenerate! I oughta drown you!" Sasuke yelled, pulling out his sword and catching Zoro's attention.
"It was your fault for falling into the water!" Naruto tried to counter...
Well that was the wrong move, because Sasuke stopped, a deathly aura radiating off of him. "My fault huh?" He began laughing.
"Sasuke-"
'So that's his name?' Nami quirked a brow.
"My fault? Oh yeah?" Luffy jumped back, wide grin on his face, he whisper chanted 'fight'.
"Naruto..."
'Must be the blonde's name' Robin noted.
"I'm going to enjoy slicing your body into the smallest pieces... And then I'm gonna roast you and eat your flesh like its steak!" Sasuke yelled, stunning everyone.
Naruto yelped when he saw Sasuke launch himself at him, running away. The strawhats all fell face first into the deck.
"Like do we actually not exist?! They come on our ship, and then try to kill each other?!" Usopp yelled, facepalimg.
A few minutes passed and they watched as Sasuke chased a screaming Naruto around deck, swinging his sword and sometimes kicking at his legs, finally Nami got fed up with it.
"Okay I'm done..." She waited, seeing them come into view and brought her fists down on their heads.
"YOU BASTARDS!" She yelled.
Both of them went down, groaning in pain. Sasuke was the first to sit up, he stood up and brushed himself off, putting his sword back in his sheath. Naruto followed him, using his shoulder to straighten himself.
"Who the hell are you?" Zoro glared at them through one eye.
They stood, silent for a few moments before Naruto burst out laughing. "Oh my god! I forgot you guys were here!"
The crew, including Sasuke facepalmed. "Dobe... This is why I told you we should greet people properly. First impressions."
"Okay Sasgay." Sasuke smiled, his face twitching in irritation.
"Right! Sorry for the intrusion!" He bowed, followed by Sasuke.
The strawhats stared in disbelief at how nonchalant the two were, after running around their ship for nearly 10 minutes, bickering and nearly killing each other... Not to mention sneaking on their ship and this is how they act?!
Luffy laughed. "You guys are funny! I like you!"
"I like you too! Actually we saw your fight and all! So cool!" Sanji brought a cigarette to his mouth, lighting it and tilting his head at the words.
"You were there the entire time? What were you even doing? How didn't you get hit?" He asked, Sasuke sighed, leaning against the railing.
"Oh man... Here we go."
"Well... We were on one of the roofs." Naruto admitted.
"COOL!" Luffy shouted.
"And... Well we watched you guys fight while eating rice crackers..." Naruto blushed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"You-" Usopp paled.
Sasuke his his face in his hands. "Oh my god... You dobe..."
"What?! You were the one who said we can't fight!" Naruto pouted.
"Yeah because we didn't want anybody to..." He looked towards the strawhats, all of them seeming more interested now. "Nevermind." They faceplanted again, making Naruto and Luffy laugh.
"That still doesn't explain why you're on our ship." Robin stopped forward, and Sasuke straightened himself. He bowed, apologizing again.
"Well about that, we were living on fishman island up until we got on your ship, and this idiot had the brilliant idea of becoming pirates." Chopper frowned.
"As humans?" He asked, Sasuke nodded, rubbing his forehead in an attempt to soothe his headache.
"Yeah, we lived there for a while, but then we heard from an anonymous source that the strawhat pirates are gonna arrive to fishman island, and of course the dobe decided that he wanted to join your crew." Sasuke said bluntly, not letting them process much before Luffy accepted.
"Luffy! You can't just accept their offer like that! What if they're trying to take us out?! We just reunited!" Usopp yelled.
Brook agreed, moving to stand behind Zoro and Sanji. "Nah! They seem like good people!" He laughed.
Nami sighed. "Fine! Sure..."
"You guys still didn't introduce yourselves." Franky pointed out, Naruto gasped and Sasuke rolled his eyes.
"Right! I'm Uzumaki Naruto! I love ramen and card games!" Robin smiled, she nodded softly to herself... 'Like a ball of sunshine.'
Their attention turned to Sasuke who was crossing his arms over his chest, as silent as a mouse. Naruto pouted, shoving him forward to greet them. He blushed, causing Nami's look to soften and she smiled.
"I'm Sasuke Uchiha, I don't really like anything... but this dobe is my best friend so." Sanji huffed at the answer but at least he knew the preferred food of one of their new crew mates...
"Boring..." Luffy pouted.
Sasuke shot him a glare before turning back to the crew. "Well I like reading... So if you guys have any old newspapers laying around could I look at them?" Robin grinned at this, she saw herself in the boy and a bit of Luffy in Naruto.
"Sure, I can show you later-" Naruto suddenly yelled 'Aha!' and startled everyone.
"Sasuke we forgot! Valentine-chan!" Sanji straightened even more at the mention of the name... A girl?
"Who?" Zoro questioned, still suspicious.
"Oh! She's like our sister!" Naruto exclaimed, proudly.
"Not biological, but I guess..." Sasuke muttered. The strawhats wanted them to answer their questions but the two turned to the sea, looking for something, and soon the rest of them joined in, curious.
"What are you looking for?" Nami stared at Sasuke.
"Ah, a mermaid." Sanji's lips wobbled and he smiled, nearly having a nosebleed.
'A beautiful mermaid?!' He gasped, searching harder.
"Really?" Robin raised her eyebrows in surprise, Naruto nodded, smiling widely.
"Yeah! She said she would see us off! She wouldn't leave us hanging!" Naruto leaned over the railing a bit, squinting his eyes.
"Maybe she-" Usopp was cut off as a sudden splash came from the water's below, he nearly had a heart attack from the shock!
Sanji's eyes turned to hearts. "Valentine-chan!" Naruto waved at the mermaid and Sanji couldn't help but get a little jealous.
"Valentine-san." Sasuke smiled softly for a second, then wiped the look off his face, Robin smiled at the action.
"Boys! I'm so glad you're safe!" Luffy giggled at the mermaid, wanting to swim with her, but he was stopped by Nami.
She shook her head, letting the two talk to their 'sister.'
"I guess this is goodbye, huh you troublemakers?" Valentine smiled, her eyes squinting from happiness.
"I guess! We promise you'll see our names in the news soon!" Naruto yelled.
"Don't make me wait!" She yelled back, the strawhats felt invisible once again, but the scene made all their heart skip a beat and they felt warmed, smiles on their faces.
"Don't hurt yourselves too bad, I love you guys!" She teared up and they nodded, Naruto pouted, letting a few tears slip while Sasuke stood stoic.
"Bye one-san!" Naruto yelled, waving to her, he then turned to Sasuke, smirking at him. He pushed him a little and Sasuke glared.
He looked away, too flustered. "Bye.. Valentine one-san..." He mumbled, loud enough for her to hear, Usopp nearly burst out laughing and Nami cooed at the action.
"Bye! I'll miss you!" With that she leapt into the water and was gone.
A comfortable silence overtook them for a few minutes. "Well... I guess we should welcome our new crew mates right?" Franky spoke first and Luffy nodded.
"Yosh! Double banquet!" Naruto grinned, latching arms with the strawhat and jumping around like a pair of kids.
Sasuke sighed, staying back and staring at the ocean for a bit. "You miss her already?" He flinched, seeing the raven haired woman next to him.
"Robin. I'm Nico Robin." Sasuke bit his lip.
"You're..." He began but she chuckled, cutting him off.
"Seems like you know me already?" She asked, her smile widening when she saw his facial expression soften.
"I like to read."
"You might've mentioned it." Sasuke nodded, closing his eyes and enjoying the feeling of the ocean breeze.
"I miss her, but its for the best." He looked up. "We needed to move on, she's great but we need to see the world." Robin nodded, feeling more relaxed.
"You're quite mature."
"So I've been told." Sasuke ruffled his own hair and stood up.
"I'm gonna go drink something, my throat is parched. Care to join me?" Robin nodded, accepting his offer and latched her arms around his.
"Sure." She smiled.
