A/N: Hello, and welcome back to chapter one of The Descendants! And I forgot to mention it, but Luke Jackson is actually the second prator of the 12th legion. Charles is actually a centurion, but Luke is a higher rank because he's better at planning.

DISCLAIMER: I don't own the original characters from PJO, but I own the kids and the plot.

Ch. 1

I was almost there! I was on the top of a steep hill, and then there was a highway. Caldecott Tunnel with just across, and after that, was home. New Rome, the home of my family and friends. Just a year ago, I was sent to go train with Lupa in order to join the legion. As I searched for a safe way down, I suddenly realized my mistake. I could just call Arion! As I whistled for him, I could see a cloud of dust coming towards me.

"Arion! Hey, good to see you," I smiled. "Can you get me down that hill and across that highway?"

As he bent down, I climbed onto his back, and he sped off with me on his back. It had been so long since I had rode him. Out of all of my siblings, I was the only one to get my mother's connection with the majestic horse. I had my mother's powers while Emily and Mark could shapeshift. Emily was the only other one who could control the underground, but my control was better. When Arion got to the door, I dismounted.

"Go graze a bit 'kay? I'm gonna go meet the guards."

As I looked at the guards, I recognized both of them. One of them was Mark, my older brother, and the second one was a girl with sea green eyes and blond hair. I recognized her as Zoë Jackson, Percy and Annabeth's only daughter. She stayed with the legion during the school year, and she went to Camp Half-Blood during the summer. She was my best friend, and the only reason she came to camp before me was because she was half a year older.

"Zoë!" I shouted, running to go hug her.

She smiled and laughed as she also came to hug me. "Hey Bianca! It's good to see you! How was your journey?"

I smiled. "Good!"

Suddenly, there was a sullen voice behind me. "Wow, do I just not exist? Way to be ignored Lil' Sis,"

Both Zoë and I laughed together and turned towards my older brother, Mark. I smiled. "Hey Mark, it's good to see you. I totally did not just ignore you on purpose..." I looked innocently at him.

He just shook his head and sighed. "It's good to see you too, Bi. Now, Mom, Dad, and Emily are waiting inside Camp. You'll get a chance to rest for the rest of the day, but tomorrow, you'll have to face the officers to find your place in the legion. Now come on! Let's go inside."

"Race ya!" I shouted at Zoë.

"Hey!" She exclaimed, glaring at me. But I wasn't around to see it. I'd already taken off, and I wasn't looking back.

"Get back here you two! Do you not have a sense of formality? Stop running around acting like first-graders!" He paused for a second. "Actually, you probably should keep running. I'm sure Emily would love to scold you, and I would love watching it."

At those words, I suddenly stopped running, causing Zoë to run into me.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" She cried indignantly.

"Sorry!" I apologized. Then, I turned to Mark. "Hey! That's blackmail!"

"I was just warning you!" He said defensively. "And you know what I said was true. Emily really does like her formalities."

Sighing, I agreed with him. Me and Zoë stopped, and waited for Mark to catch up. By then, we were already at the end of the tunnel. I opened the door into the blinding sunlight, and there, waiting for me on the other side of the Little Tiber, was my family, along with a select number of other people who were close friends, like Zoë's parents, Percy and Annabeth. They seemed to be pretty bored, as all of them had ADHD except for my dad, who had lactose intolerance. At the sound of our footsteps, their heads turned towards our direction, and they all hurried towards Zoë, Mark, and I. Emily was at the front of the group, and she reached us first. She pulled me into a tight hug, and said, "Bi! It's been so long! How was your trip?"

I smiled. "It was good. There were a decent amount of monsters, but nothing I couldn't handle."

By now, the rest of the welcoming committee had caught up, and once Emily let go, my mother, Hazel, wrapped me in a tight hug. "Hey Mom," I said. It had been so long since I'd seen anyone except for Zoë, since she had left midway through my training. It'd been a year since I'd seen my family, and I was happy to see them again.

"Hey Bianca. It's good to see you back," my mom said, smiling through her tears.

A pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around me and my Mom, and I saw that it was my dad, Frank.

"Well then, we probably should keep the legion waiting, as they're waiting to welcome Bianca home. She should also go rest after dinner as well," said a voice behind me. It was Mark, and he looked worried. "You-know-who is going to strike soon," and after those words were said, everyone became worried, and sombor too.

"What's going on?" I asked. Was I the only one who didn't know what Mark meant?

"Maybe you should come with Luke and I to the principia, and we can explain..."

A/N: OOH! Another cliffie! MUHAHAHHAHAA! Okay, okay, I'll stop. Sorry. Bot oh well. I decided to end it here cuz… well… I kinda want to work on my other story, Leo Valdez & Percy Jackson - Losers in Highschool. That might come out soon, so keep a lookout! Welp. I don't know when I'll update again, but I know that I won't abandon this story. So don't worry!
