Episode 6: "The Art of Ki…Beginner's Course to Martial Arts…"

It has been a few weeks since Beacon Academy–mostly the faculty, and teams RWBY & JNPR–first met Goku and the other members of the Dragon Team. The two teams have just sat down in their seats outdoors, the class taking place outdoors so there's room and their's less of a risk the new professors and demonstrators destroying half the academy.

Gohan and Master Roshi were waiting until the bell rang to start the class. Ruby also saw that the two were joined by Tien, Videl (holding little baby Pan), and Krillin as the demonstrators this time.

It looks like Professor Gohan is relaxing after having Mister Roshi serve as the instructor…don't know why I don't trust him, but at least he's better at explaining this Ki thing with Gohan's wife… Ruby thought as she saw that the class had begun.

Compared to all the other classes at Beacon, the newly established Martial Arts and Ki course was a breath of fresh air from the usual lecture and graded assignments a class like History or Grimm Studies give. This is mostly because aside from optional note-taking for the more studious students, the course was a 'pass/fail' class, either you pass or fail. It was also a more involved class, mostly stemming from a trial-&-error application where the students sometimes fight the instructors or demonstrators in sparring sessions not too similar to Combat Training. The only downside to this otherwise amazing class that makes Ruby feel like she's in hell, is that you are not allowed to use your weapons (Roshi's rule, and as such everyone has to give Gohan their weapons to hold until class ended).

There were other downsides to this class. Ruby, her team, and her friends acknowledge that this wasn't a class for taking it easy or to take a nap. It was HARD on other fronts, possibly the hardest class at Beacon Academy at the moment. It required the student body to be very active and knowledgeable on hand-to-hand combat. And since Roshi took over for Gohan (who was initially the first choice Ozpin had placed to teach the class), he put everyone through the 'Turtle-School' style of training he put Goku and Krillin on when they were kids. This meant the class did a lot of volunteer work in construction or delivery, most of which he had them do without the assistance of technology that everyone was used to having. Even worse was that Roshi, Gohan and the others told them they had to do all of that without their auras activated, while also wearing really heavy weights on their backs.

Jaune and some others nicknamed the course "Physical Education, but for punching and kicking", because other than the class learning to use Ki, it was just that, an offshoot physical education course. It also became apparent that the better you are in the class, the harsher the training is. Pyrrha was singled out as the best among this class, and so, she was given much harder training regimens than the rest.

The students' ability to use aura did help speed things along in, as Yang put it; 'Getting to the good stuff, such as flying and firing lasers from your hands!' The first few days were done with Roshi evaluating their pool of Ki, Gohan helpfully explaining that from birth, everyone has a finite amount of Ki, and that usually determines many factors in how they will be taught. Ruby was disappointed that her Ki reserves while average, was on the low spectrum of said average to their scales. Jaune Arc apparently had the largest Ki reserves not only in the whole class, but the entire school. His pool of ki was larger than most of the faculty, according to both Gohan and Roshi.

Fortunately for the class, today was not a labor-training day, but it is unfortunate that they will have to fight Gohan, Tien, and Krillin in sparring matches. Yang and Pyrrha were the best fighters in these exercises, while Ruby and Weiss were the worst, especially without their weapons. Some of the students were beginning to complain that they were about to have their butts handed to them, but Roshi said something that perked them all up.

"Now, I have heard that all of you have this kind of unique power you call a Semblance. For this sparring session, I will allow you all to use your Semblances during the sparring, but you still aren't allowed to use your weapons." Roshi said with his hands behind his back, "Videl, kindly make sure that no one tries to get their weapons, and Goku, you have to help your daughter-in-law with the task since you're so eager to help out by snooping…"

The class was confused by Roshi's last statement, until they heard, "Oh come on Master Roshi! I just wanted to see how much stronger they've gotten under your teachings!"

Goku appeared instantly in the middle of the class, and his action made Ruby, Yang, and Blake, instantly blush a bright red and placed their arms over their chests in a reflex over what happened some time ago.

The Saiyan of Earth ignored the embarrassed scowls of the "R", "B", and "Y" of RWBY, and asked his master, "Come on Master Roshi! Let me spar with Pyrrha, please! I promise I'll hold back!"

Yang (still looking flustered) replied, "After the last time, when you put Jaune in the infirmary for a week? No thank you!"

Jaune added (which made the class laugh), "I still feel the broken ribs and collapsed lung when you said that the warm up was over. I thought we were sparring for real that time! I thought I died, because my life flashed before my eyes!"

Roshi stayed firm with his pupil, "No Goku, he's right, they will not be ready for a person of your strength until much later. Now go make sure the students' weapons stay there."

Goku sighed loudly, muttering something about how Vegeta & Piccolo weren't interested in sparring with him. This, based on the other visitors from another world's reactions, meant that Goku was bored out of his mind.

Videl sympathized for her father-in-law, and said to cheer him up, "Don't worry Goku, they'll get there. For now, how about you play with your granddaughter while I move these things away from Pan…"

Goku pouted a little, like an over-sized child, as he replied in defeat, "Okay, I guess…"

Goku was handed his giggling granddaughter and his mood improved a little. The girls in the class couldn't resist seeing the display and instantly went 'Aww!' at seeing Pan with her grandpa. The boys in the class were dumbfounded by the fact that Goku was a grandpa, but he looked to be more like Pan's father than grandpa.

Roshi broke a nearby rock that made an extra loud 'snap' sound as he said to the class, "Don't get distracted! Getting distracted leads to broken noses, kicked in teeth, and twisted limbs. Is that want you want?"

The entire class said in unison (over Krillin holding back hysterically laughing), "No Master Roshi, sir!"

Roshi huffed as he said, "Good. Now begin!"

The class was under way, Team RWBY and a few others had the pleasure (or misfortune) of having to spar with Gohan. Team JNPR and another team had to spar with Tien, whose odd techniques both confused and excited them. Cardin, his team, and another team got utterly humiliated by Krillin, who didn't even use his ki to beat his sparring partners.

Goku watched the training with jealous, longing eyes as he had Pan bounce on his knee, the baby girl giggling happily as Videl came back to pick her daughter up.

Goku said, "Man, I wish I can train too. I want to spar with someone, anyone, right now!"

Videl asked, "I know Piccolo and Vegeta can't because of reasons, but what about Goten and Trunks? Err, both of them…?"

Goku answered like a child, "Chichi won't let me train with Goten because of studying, little Trunks for the same reason…"

Videl asked next, "And, the future version of Trunks?"

Goku shifted from a pout, to a ponder, as he replied, "Hmm…you know what, I don't know where he is right now. He said something about, trying to figure something out, and left for a few days, all of a sudden, his energy just disappeared, like he's trying to hide something…"

Videl wondered, "Does that have anything to do with the whole you guys being weaker thing?"

Goku pondered aloud, "Maybe...I am not sure..."

Flashback…

A day After Piccolo and Trunks went to confront Salem…

The news that the Dragon Team were actually weaker started when Piccolo and Trunks returned from training in the wilderness (in reality, they confronted Salem to evaluate her threat to them). It was most of their gang of friends (without Chichi, Videl, Hercule, the kids, & Majin Buu), as well as Ozpin and Goodwitch, there when the two warriors returned, surprising everyone there.

"Whoa! What happened to you guys? I thought you were just training by?" Goku asked, though he did suspect there was more to this training.

While Trunks was unscathed, Piccolo had several scrapes, and a missing arm with purple blood leaking from the wound. The Namekian answered his friend, "We were, until a centipede-looking Grimm caught the two of us by surprise and severed my arm."

Piccolo wasn't necessarily lying, a Grimm did bite off his arm, but that was to hide the fact he fought the 'Queen of the Grimm', and the witch affected his arm with horrible magic burns. Both Piccolo and Future Trunks were very clever with their charade in keeping Goku and Vegeta out of the loop per Ozpin's request. While Piccolo fought Salem, Trunks adjusted his power accordingly to sell the illusion that the two were training in case Goku tried to snoop by sensing their energies. Trunks also was Super Saiyan in case things go south in Piccolo's evaluation. It caught the stoic warrior off-guard by how challenging Salem was based on his inference on the Grimm. It was here, when Trunks saved his butt from Salem, that a revelation dawned on both of them…

"We found out something…concerning, about our power through the training. But first, I need to know!" Piccolo asked, Team RWBY and JNPR arriving to say hi, and freaking out over Piccolo's missing arm.

"Mr. Piccolo, what happened to your arm?!" Ruby shouted in fear.

"Mr. Piccolo, hurry to the infirmary!" Pyrrha said, trying to get him to the school's infirmary.

"What happened to you, Piccolo?" Yang asked, with quite a scared look in her eyes.

Ozpin read the situation and said to Piccolo, "I think it would be best if we take you to the infirmary to tend to this wound…"

"No need, he's fine!" Vegeta scoffed, prompting all of Team RWBY to shoot nasty glares at him.

Weiss exclaimed, "Excuse me! Do you not see Mr. Piccolo's arm?!"

Piccolo interrupted, "He's right, I didn't really have an opportunity to take care of this with Grimm swarms hounding me and Trunks. Wait a minute…"

Piccolo proceeded by growling and shouting like he had to take a dump (in Yang's mind), he outstretched his stump of an arm as blood stopped leaking from the wound.

This worried team RWBY, JNPR, Ozpin, and Goodwitch, thinking the Namekian will put himself in a worse condition if he continued to strain himself by stopping the bleeding by sheer muscle control. Boy were the natives of Remnant in for a surprise a few seconds later…

With a powerful shout, Piccolo regenerated his missing limb, the fresh new limb springing from the stub, making the girls (and Jaune) scream in shock at what they just witnessed.

Jaune stuttered in such a way that he sounded like a girl as he pointed, "D-d-d-d-did you just s-s-see what I just saw?"

Yang bluntly asked while she and Ruby held each other tightly, "Piccolo regrowing an entire arm? Yeah…"

Ozpin had afforded everyone the very first time they've seen him caught completely off guard, he was just as shocked as the rest of them as he stared at Piccolo as he moved his fingers soaked in a clear-ish liquid, while breathing heavily.

Ozpin asked, "You…never told me you can regenerate limbs, Piccolo…"

Piccolo replied, "Yeah, but you never asked. However, doing so drains a lot of power from me, so I can't do it as often as you think."

Vegeta said next, "It's a trick unique to Namekians, so fat chance of him teaching any of you the same trick. Now, tell us what it is you want to know from me and Kakarot…"

Trunks gave the answer (Piccolo noting his odd, yet subtle pitch in tone), "We need to know if you two can still turn into Super Saiyan Blue…"

Piccolo added for clarity, "Or, just even Super Saiyan God…"

"Huh?" Goku puzzled, "I'm sure we can still go-…"

"Do it now!" Piccolo interrupted, the look in his eyes seemed to be a little worried, so even Vegeta knew it must be serious and complied.

With prompting from Bulma and Krillin for the Remnant natives to stand back, Goku and Vegeta tried to first go Super Saiyan God. Their white aura flared up as it turned into the ethereal red glow of the ancient Saiyan power. The clouds above the school swirled, but then, the red glow turned a golden yellow, and Goku and Vegeta turned into Super Saiyans.

"What?!" Vegeta exclaimed with surprise, "I know I was turning into a Super Saiyan God, so why did I turn into a regular Super Saiyan?!"

Goku added, "I tried to turn into a Super Saiyan Blue, but I just…I don't get it…"

Ozpin asked for everyone present as the last pureblood Saiyans powered down to their base forms, "Pardon me for asking, but what exactly did you mean by 'super saiyan god' and 'super saiyan blue' and turning into them?"

Piccolo and Trunks explained this legendary power to their hosts, particularly how Goku became the first Super Saiyan in a thousand years as the galaxy flies and used this power to defeat Frieza on Namek. Then Piccolo helpfully explained how this (once thought to have been rare) ability soon became what Vegeta spitefully added as a 'super-saiyan-bargain-sale' where pretty much all the Saiyans present (minus Pan and Bulla) can go Super Saiyan. And the 'grading' of the power into higher levels.

This ultimately helped with the Dragon Team's later explanation about the significantly more powerful Super Saiyan God & Blue transformations, which only Goku and Vegeta can tap into and gain the Ki of gods.

Ozpin thought that with this knowledge, his gauging of both Goku and Vegeta's power was much greater than he thought. In their strongest transformations, both Saiyans were much more powerful than Salem could ever hope to match, even with magic. But it was disappointing for the reincarnating wizard, that this power is seemingly lost to the Saiyans. More bad news soon followed as Trunks delivered a grim response after Goku and Vegeta powered down.

"As Piccolo and I thought…" he began, "For some reason, our power has been…I don't know, weakened or something. Like, weights we can't remove or something."

Bulma surmised, "It may have something to do with the fact that we seem to have crossed realities. I am not sure myself, but call it a hunch…"

Ozpin then stated, "Call it pessimism if you want, but I had a feeling that we may need to remove these 'weights' on your power, as young Trunks facsimiled. I have a feeling a large-scale Grimm attack is looming soon, may not strike today or within the next few years, but it will come, and even the power of a 'Super Saiyan' may not be enough to face the overwhelming numbers that tend to allow the Grimm to be victorious…"

Ozpin dangerously skirted close to letting everyone else in about Salem, Piccolo knew this, and Vegeta had a distrustful face at that. The Saiyan Prince knew Ozpin wasn't really talking about the Grimm, but he wasn't sure why Ozpin wouldn't tell him what it really was.

Goku replied with that optimism that is quite infectious, "Hey! Maybe it's like we have to train to regain that power! I can't wait to see if we can!"

End of flashback...

Videl understood her father-in-law well as she looked at him sulking as the class sparred with Krillin, Tien, & Gohan. In some ways, Goku was just like an overgrown child, but there were plenty of moments that the Saiyan really stepped up and acted mature. It was during these moments when she saw her husband in Goku, and it made her smile in thinking Pan may grow up to be like her father and grandfather.

Roshi ordered, "Stop! That's enough for today!"

And when he gave that order, every student not lying down collapsed with exhaustion. A few of them even groaned in agony.

Ruby was the worst offender in that last category. Amidst her groaning, Ruby whined loudly about how sore her arms and legs are. She quickly reminded herself that sometimes, the newly appointed teachers single out those who whine and complain and force them to more intense, grueling training.

This day has been, as Yang put it after the fact, an easy breezy day compared to the prior days of class.

Ruby tried to sneak away without Roshi or Gohan noticing, but Gohan said to her, "Miss Rose, as you have relied on your weapon too much in combat training, you have to report back here at 5:00 in the afternoon for remedial training."

Ruby cursed herself for forgetting that the new professors could detect her presence, especially when the old Turtle Hermit called the young girl out for sneaking away.

Goku was long gone once the bell rang, leaving Gohan to help his wife hand back the students' weapons. Jaune was still very sore from the rather grueling training he had to be put through, as he was technically playing catch-up.

Gohan said as he handed the boy's sword and shield, "Don't worry Mr. Arc, we all have faith that by the time you master utilizing ki, you will be a hero like those in stories. Keep at it, I know exactly what you're going through."

Jaune didn't really reply per-say, merely acknowledging his professor's words and noting that Gohan was trying to boost his confidence. It worked a little, but it hardly counted for whatever was eating his attention, which Roshi and the rest of the other-worlders noticed.

Nora quickly snatched her weapon as Ren picked his up, and then bowed in respect. Pyrrha did more of the same thing her teammate, picked up her weapon and bowed in respect. She did so in a quick manner when Roshi looked at her, she knew he was inspecting her power, but she couldn't help but feel like she was being peeked at by a pervert. So her bow was quick, and didn't try to expose her cleavage, in case Roshi was indeed peeking at her (which he was briefly).

Maybe I should alter my attire to be more…conservative. I guess because of Master Roshi, I've just realized that my combat attire seems a bit, revealing… Pyrrha subtly blushed and started to carry her shield in front of her chest to hide her, uh, "ample" assets, let's say for now…

Lunchtime…

Beacon Cafeteria…

Ruby also acknowledged that the Science course was given a new instructor since Glynda Goodwitch didn't have to fill in. That instructor was none other than Bulma Briefs, per the request from Ozpin hoping that the students could learn the sciences and apply them better in fighting Grimm.

"Mrs. Briefs is a pretty cool science teacher." Jaune remarked as he ate his food, "She's real smart for anyone who has ever lived in Remnant."

Yang replied to her friend, "Yeah, most of the stuff she taught…"

The blonde whistled as she moved her hand over her head, "…sailed over my head."

Weiss explained, "At least we understand it better than what happened on day one, remember?"

Ruby let out a loud sigh (with Nora doing the same), as she answered, "How can I forget…"

"Chemistry, Atomic Particles, Biology, Physics…all the works…" Blake remarked, "I didn't even know there was that many elements, or they could have that many uses…"

"Oww! That hurts! Please let go!" A girl's voice shouted nearby amidst the jock-ish cackling of Cardin Winchester and his team.

The group of students then saw an upperclassman by the name of Velvet Scarlatina, a Faunus with rabbit ears, getting said ears pulled by Cardin.

The bully said to his teammates as he laughed, "I told you they were real…"

Poor Velvet looked ready to cry as she was about to be under more horrible teasing, prompting Pyrrha to remark, "Atrocious…"

She couldn't stand it any longer once she heard Velvet plead, "Please stop, you're going to tear them off!"

Pyrrha readied to stand up and go thrash Cardin and his team, until they all heard a familiar, harsh voice proclaim to the four bullies.

"Unless you want to know what it is like to be close to death, I would let go of that rabbit's ears, or I will tear you arms out of their sockets!"

Team RWBY and JNPR recognized the voice belonging to the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta. Which was a surprise since Professor Ozpin asked their guests from another reality to take care of a small chore for a future class.

Vegeta had a face that Yang remarked would make you wet yourself unless you're stupidly brave. It was stern, and his eyes had a fury more terrifying than the Grimm.

Cardin began to say as he let go of Velvet's ear, "Oh come on, we were just having a dis-…"

Vegeta quickly moved to Cardin and grabbed the boy's throat, lifting him up with one arm easily and applied enough pressure in his grip to choke (but not kill) the arrogant huntsman-in-training.

"I was fully aware of what has happened you son of a *****! You show some respect for someone your senior, or I will grind you and your idiotic goons into pulp! You hear me, punk!"

Vegeta was powerful, and he made a point to have his power felt by everyone in the cafeteria. And CRDL looked ready to soil their pants, as they all replied, "We understand, sir…"

Vegeta threw Cardin hard into his teammates and angrily exclaimed, "If I catch any of you pulling something like this again, I will kill the lot of you here and now. Now get the hell out of my sight, weaklings!"

Team CRDL ran away quickly, as Vegeta relaxed his expression to his infamous scowl. Velvet walked up to Vegeta nervously and said to the Saiyan.

"Th-thank you for-…Eeep!" Was all Velvet could say as Vegeta grumpily interrupted the Faunus girl, "You shut up! You have been here a whole year longer than those bastards, but you could hardly stand up for yourself. I am not interested in saving the *** of a wimp who doesn't have a spine. You should be the one to put those idiots in their place, regardless if you are a faun-whatever-you-are or not! Idiots like them have no place here if they pick on those weaker than them…"

Vegeta gave the poor girl a bone-chilling glare as he finished, "Now get out of here before I lose my patience girl…"

Velvet quickly bowed and obeyed Vegeta out of fear and moved away, hiding her face. Vegeta huffed as he was then assailed by the angry voice of his wife chastening him.

"Vegeta! You do not say those things to a little girl like Miss Scarlatina! You let her thank you and apologize right now!"

"Don't tell me what to do, woman! That girl needs to grow a spine, or she will be bullied all her damn life!"

Yang remarked amidst the bickering between the Saiyan and his human wife, "It must be hard to be a Faunus, getting picked on for looking different…"

Pyrrha noticed for some time how much her partner has struggled with the classes, which she found quite unusual for someone who was accepted into one of the most prestigious huntsman academies in the world. The scarlet amazon thought about it some, the talk of Bulma's lessons by her friends being drowned out by her mind racing.

Hmm…there's got to be a reason Jaune is having so much trouble in the classes… she thought, a mental clipboard being placed in front of her to figure out her train of thought.

She placed mental images down like a conspiracy board as she thought them out, Could it be bullies like Cardin? Jaune might have been good enough to enter, but may have been floored by a difficulty spike, and Cardin's team might not be helping with his self-confidence…

Her mental projection shook her head as she thought, No…that can't be it. Jaune said that he wasn't bullied, even though he clearly is. Something else is at play here. But until I figure out what is wrong with him, I will instead focus on how to improve his grades, especially in combat. Which reminds me…

Pyrrha looked down to her ample chest, placing a hand over her heart as she remarked, Perhaps I should wear the school uniform to Martial Arts 101 from now on…Master Roshi doesn't seem to be the most trustworthy by how he was ogling at Professor Goodwitch. Yeah…

Her trail slowed down in a drawn out fashion, but this lasted too short as it suddenly pinged in her mind after recalling Combat Training, That's it! I'll help Jaune practice after school! I'll watch his performance at Combat Class later today, and that will help me find out where he needs improvement! And then maybe~…

Pyrrha began blushing a bright red as a small, love struck smile formed on her face, thinking, Maybe…Jaune and I, could…c-could…go out for a…c-c-c-c-c-coff-f-f-ie s-sometime…

If anyone reading this wasn't aware beforehand, Pyrrha Nikos has strong feelings for her partner, Jaune Arc. She had earlier scoped him out when they arrived at Beacon on day one, thinking he was pretty handsome already. But, she didn't pay it any mind, until he casually talked (more like flirted) with her before team selection. She was charmed by how he approached her as a person, a girl, and not a celebrity or a goddess like almost everyone in her life. His kind heart, and compassion really drew her attention, leading to her deciding if she was going to be partnered with anyone, it should be Jaune Arc.

The prodigal warrior shook herself to focus, as combat training with Glynda Goodwitch was nearly underway…

Hours later…

10:27 PM…

Gohan was watching the recordings for the Martial Arts course students (the first group which teams RWBY and JNPR are in), reviewing all their capabilities for hand-to-hand combat, and potential to utilize Ki energy.

He noticed a peculiar pattern in their potential for ki, that after checking with Master Roshi, seems to have confirmed this odd quirk.

"It seems those who did poorly with hand-to-hand combat, have the inversely greatest potential to use ki. The only exceptions are Yang Xiao Long and Pyrrha Nikos from what both Master Roshi and I gather."

He put his hands behind his head in an attempt to figure out this unusual inverse. Both of them had quickly deduced that out of all the students in that class, Jaune's ki reserves were the single largest out of everyone in Beacon, maybe even Vale. Vegeta got clued in on Jaune's surprising ki reserves, to which the Saiyan prince had remarked that the boy's energy reserves were worthy of a Saiyan elite, and that it was wasted on a talentless joke like him.

"Really harsh, Vegeta…" Gohan remarked to himself, "…unnecessarily so, but given his learning capabilities, I would have to agree. *sigh* At least dad thinks he could do it, even if it's for a purely selfish reason."

He laid the tablet beside him as he stared up at the night skies of Remnant. He was glad the night sky looked the same as it did back home. He thought about what his dad thought about Jaune's Saiyan-like ki reserves, and chuckled a little as Goku seemed overly enthusiastic about training with the boy as a sparring partner, only to make Jaune run away like a girl to a feral mouse.

"Still, it doesn't mean we should ignore this. Miss Nikos is the closest to figuring out how to bring out her ki, maybe she could help tutor him-…"

Gohan's thoughts were interrupted by the door to the rooftop balcony being opened below him. He stood up from the roof he was resting on to and saw two of the students he was thinking about enter the rooftop.

He saw Jaune Arc being pulled by his arm by his partner, Pyrrha Nikos. He was about to say hello to them and ask what they were doing on the roof, but then he suddenly had an overwhelming sense that something in his soul told him to remain quiet and listen.

He was adept at sensing ki enough to read on their intentions to a degree, sensing that while Jaune seems to be in a kind of depression, that Pyrrha wanted to help Jaune improve.

Listened the first son of Goku did, as he heard the conversation between the two teenagers…hoping they weren't about to do something, inappropriate for their age…

"Pyrrha, I know I'm going through a hard time right now, but I'm not that depressed…I could always be a farmer, or something…" the leader of team JNPR said as he looked over the edge.

Gohan repressed laughing as he noticed that Pyrrha unintentionally put her partner in a position that told him he should commit suicide, which she quickly realized.

"N-no!" the crimson haired girl said as she pulled Jaune away from the edge of the roof, "That's not why I brought you up here Jaune…"

Jaune had a confused look on his face as his partner said, "I know you are having a difficult time in class. And that you are not the strongest of fighters…so…"

Gohan remarked in his mind, Yeah, if what happened three days ago is any indicator, Jaune is definitely not ready for combat. I still can't believe Pan kicked him through three walls when Videl and I asked him to babysit her…she's going to be very strong once she grows up…

"Being kicked through three walls into the girl's changing room by a quarter-alien baby is proof enough of that." Jaune remarked, his face turning beet red as he remembered all the girls screaming, and Gohan apologizing to the female students, the school faculty, and Ozpin for Jaune and Pan.

Pyrrha remembered too, and was blushing quite a bit at that memory too, saying, "Yeah…so…back on topic for what I was going to say, I want to help you!"

"What?" Jaune replied with a single word, and Gohan thought, Pyrrha Nikos is indeed a star pupil, and model student to help her partner slash team leader improve. Glad they weren't going to–…

Pyrrha said with a bit of excitement that slightly reminded Gohan about his father as a boy, "We can train up here where no one can bother us. I want to help you improve, like what Mr. Goku constantly offered to do…"

And to have all my bones broken into pieces by sparring with that living human weapon? No thanks! Jaune shuddered as he remembered the Saiyan with a twinge of fear, but he then replied out loud to his partner's suggestion…

"You…think I need help? Is that what you're saying?" Jaune asked, Gohan noting that the blonde's voice sounded hurt for some reason.

Uh oh…I don't like the looks of this. I better stop this before–… Gohan thought until he heard an eerie voice say to his mind…

~"Wait…observe and do not interfere. This is a matter between children that must be resolved by themselves…be patient and you will know when to act…"~

Gohan was quite shocked when he heard that voice, it sounded so clear that whoever said that might have well been next to him. He didn't know why, but he felt he could trust the voice. So he held back and observed, as the two teens continued their conversation.

Pyrrha realized what he was implying and quickly responded, "N-no! No, that's not what I meant Jaune. The furthest thing from it."

Jaune replied to Pyrrha, "But, you just said it. That I needed help, or that you want to help me?"

Pyrrha took a deep breath as she spoke honestly, "Jaune, I said that I wanted to help you improve. Everyone needs a little push from time to time, even me every once in a while. It doesn't mean that you're no different from the rest of us. After all, you made it into Beacon Academy, that counts for something and speaks volumes about what you are capable of. Goku certainly seems to think you have potential, considering he wants to spar with you, constantly badgering you to spar."

Jaune had an ashamed look on his face and turned his back towards her as he replied, "I'm sorry Pyrrha, but you're wrong. *sigh* I don't belong here…"

Gohan noticed that Jaune's life force changed in subtle ways where he picked up that Jaune seemed to be confessing a pretty big secret. A bad one if the guilt he's detecting is anything to go by.

Pyrrha replied to Jaune in a slightly motherly manner, "That's a terrible thing to say to yourself. Of course you belong here, of course you do. I trust you–…"

Jaune angrily turned to his partner, Gohan detecting hostility in his energy now, and said angrily, "NO, I DON'T! You shouldn't trust be! Because…"

Jaune took a deep breath, the kind Gohan knows is the kind one makes to admit that they did something wrong. Then the blonde confessed leaving Pyrrha confused as he did, "I…really wasn't accepted into Beacon, Pyrrha…I lied to get in here…"

Pyrrha had clear shock, though subtle, on her face, but she asked Jaune calmly, "What do you mean, that you 'lied to get in here' Jaune?"

Gohan was surprised by this little revelation, and was more surprised when Jaune revealed more in frustration…

"I mean that I didn't go to combat school! I didn't pass any tests! I didn't earn my spot in this academy, Pyrrha! I didn't do any of that! I lied…"

Jaune turned around and saw his partner's eyes ask him that if he didn't do any of that, then how did he get in.

He fessed up to Pyrrha (and two others beyond his knowledge), "I got in…because someone gave me fake transcripts and told me to enter Beacon Academy if I truly wanted to live up to my family's legacy. He said that I had to for reasons that, I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot. All I know is that I got motivated to continue with something I know is wrong because of what this guy said, and I believed him…and continued the lie he pushed me to make…"

Jaune got fake transcripts that enabled him to get into Beacon Academy. Not just that, but someone told him to do so? I need to speak to Ozpin about this…he must know. Gohan thought as he sensed the disbelief in Pyrrha's ki.

Pyrrha in response to the truth Jaune spoke, asked him, "What, but why? Who was it that even gave you those transcripts?"

Jaune admitted in frustration, "Because this is, honestly, what I wanted to be. My father, my grandfather, and his father before him were all warriors! They were all heroes. I wanted to be one too, and this guy gave me the chance to become one. But now, attending all these classes, I now know that I wasn't good enough. As for who it was that gave me these transcripts, I have no idea, he was clothed in a black robe that hid his body well, and the only other thing was that I felt that I could do it when he said I should, saying that Ozpin will ignore my blunder as I prove myself."

Jaune looked ready to take that one way step to the ground as he made his confession. Pyrrha noticed as she decided to forget his confession to make him feel better. After all, if this stranger believed he could do it without having to go to combat school, then it adds more weight to the Saiyan Goku believing he had potential.

She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder as she said, "If that's all true, then let me help you. I really want to, as your friend and partner Jaune…"

The young man quickly swatted her hand away, and spitefully replied, "I DON'T WANT HELP! I DON'T WANT TO BE THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS! I WANT TO BE THE HERO!"

Pyrrha had a hurt look on her face as she tried to calm her friend down, "Jaune, I-I-I–…"

The scarlet haired beauty was rudely interrupted by Jaune, continuing his rant, "I am tired of being the lovable idiot stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives against monsters that want to exterminate humanity! Don't you understand!"

Jaune spoke in a defeatist tone as he finished, "If I can't do this on my own, as that stranger thinks I do enough to lie me into the most prestigious huntsman academy in the world…then what good am I?"

Pyrrha still looked really hurt about her friend/partner lashing out on her attempts to help him. She, regardless, tried to still be a good friend and partner by reaching for his hand to show him that she cares. But, Jaune pulled it away forcefully like a child frustrated by his mother.

"Just, leave me alone! I have to do this myself, okay…?" Jaune said, as Pyrrha backed away, a tear beginning to form in her eye.

Pyrrha lowered her head in defeat, whatever was eating away at Jaune's mind at the moment, it's just not worth trying any more if it will deteriorate their friendship.

She replied calmly, with a tiny hint of her voice cracking, "I-If that's what you think is best…I'm sorry for wasting your time…"

Pyrrha walked away as she held her hands together, Gohan barely saw it, but he could see that the young woman was really hurt by Jaune's rejections of her offers for help. In fact, he noticed that the girl seemed to look like she was rejected after confessing her love to a guy she likes.

Gohan thought about it and realized that Pyrrha likely formed an attachment to Jaune. As a professor to the newly established Martial Arts course, he of course saw the profiles of all the students, and some of their history. He left quietly and quickly to talk with Ozpin. Meanwhile…

Pyrrha walked inside the building and once she was sure she was alone, the scarlet warrior broke down and cried at what happened between her and Jaune.

She started thinking to herself, Maybe…I made a mistake in trusting Jaune. He doesn't want my help, and rejected my attempts to make him feel better. Maybe, I was better off not meeting him…

~"That is where you are wrong, miss Nikos…"~

Pyrrha heard a voice speak into her head, ~"Most boys do not want to admit that they need help, out of fear of being ridiculed. Don't give up so quickly…"~

Pyrrha asked, "Wh-who are you?"

…silence…

Pyrrha could somehow tell that, whoever or whatever gave her those words of encouragement, is no longer present. She recalled those words the voice said, and found herself to believe them. She at first wanted to return up to the roof, but then remembered the hostility Jaune had.

"I…don't want to make things worse, and I don't think I can take anymore of Jaune's attitude…I'll head back for now, and wait until tomorrow to talk with Jaune…"

She left for her team's room, exhausted from having to endure the emotional turmoil she went through.

A few minutes earlier on the roof as Pyrrha and Gohan left Jaune alone, Jaune soon realized he made a terrible mistake. He didn't have time to ruminate on it as he soon heard a familiar voice speak up…

"Oh Jaune, what a pickle are you in now…"

Jaune turned aside saw the last person he wanted to see climb up to the roof…

"Cardin…" was all Jaune could say as the school jerk said next, "…you know you were very loud when you had your lover's spat with your partner. I couldn't help but overhear you two from my dorm room…"

Oh $*#%! I forgot Cardin's room was directly below us! Jaune cursed in his mind, he now knows what's in store…

"…So, you snuck into Beacon, huh? I'll have to admit, I didn't expect you to be such a rebel…" Cardin said as he crossed his arms with an almost sarcastic look of surprise on his face, that slowly turned into a cocky smile.

Jaune sweated bullets as he begged, "Please Cardin, please don't tell anyone–…"

Cardin interrupted him by explaining, "Jaune, come on…do you have such little faith in me? I would never rat out on a friend like that…"

Jaune quietly gulped as it was going the way he expected it to go, hesitantly asking his blackmailer, "A…a friend…?"

Cardin walked up to the leader of JNPR and answered while putting Jaune in a headlock, "Of course. We're friends now, Jaunie-boy. And the way I see it, as long as you are there for me when I need it, well, if you need it spelled out; we are going to be friends for a long time…"

The bully released Jaune from the chokehold, the boy coughing and gasping for air as he did. Jaune realized he was now being blackmailed, and immediately regretted chasing away Pyrrha. She could shut this jerk up, after all, she did say that she could break his legs like Nora suggested at lunch…

Jaune looked up at Cardin as he added, "That being said Arc…I really don't have the time to do those readings Dr. Oobleck gave us today. I have to be ready to slay monsters, and learn to use this ki that Goku and Vegeta could use."

Cardin petted Jaune's head mockingly like a pet, as he asked the blonde, "Think you could take care of that for me, buddy?"

Jaune was now just like those nerds in cartoons, completely subservient to the jocks, and held his tongue.

Cardin smirked as he said, "That's what I thought…don't worry Jaune, your secret's safe with me…"

Jaune couldn't help but think he just heard Cardin laughing as he climbed back down to his dorm, likely to blab to his team that they now have a gofer. He banged his head hard on the floor, cursing himself for how stupid he was. He believed his fate is sealed now, as with what happened, the only others who knew he got into Beacon illegally, might just rat him out.

He wasn't aware that Pyrrha and Cardin weren't the only ones who heard his secret. And Gohan wasn't the only spectator to the cliche high school drama that was on display.

Flying high enough to remain undetected, Trunks also observed the scene. Watching them intently with his piercing blue eyes that seemed to…glow in a ghostly light…?! No, the moonlight reflected off his eyes that made them glow.

He took a deep breath and then flew to Ozpin's office, to where Gohan headed…

"You knew?!" exclaimed Gohan, quite shocked by the revelation…

Ozpin replied after taking a sip of coffee, "Yes, I have known since before the year started that Jaune had fake transcripts to enter Beacon Academy…"

Gohan told Ozpin what he overheard between the "J" and the "P" of JNPR, and was utterly floored when he heard that it wasn't just Ozpin who knew, but all the faculty (minus the Martial Arts course faculty) knew of Jaune's falsified place in Beacon.

Gohan had to ask, "If so, then why didn't you kick him out in the first place?"

Glynda answered the half-saiyan's inquiry, "Believe me, I would have done so the minute the students first set foot on campus. But Ozpin, insisted that he should be allowed in to prove his worth, and that we all have to play dumb the whole time like we had no idea."

Ozpin added, "Often times there are exceptional individuals, who slip under the radar, who are often spoken in legends who rise above what other say they can do. It is also why I allowed Miss Rose to skip two years ahead to enter the academy. But, you saying that Jaune was given these fake transcripts by some stranger clothed in a black robe is news to me."

He further elaborated that the fake transcripts were exceptionally convincing as the real deal, even mimicking the highly specific type of paper they use for the official transcripts that prevents fakers entering the academy. Ozpin initially believed Jaune might have had a hidden talent if he submitted fake papers that could easily pass as the genuine articles even to the trained eye. But, this stranger made him retract that initial theory.

"Personally, I would like to know who this robed individual is, and possibly bring him over to our cause in the fight against the Grimm…" Ozpin said, as Glynda shook her head in disapproval of Ozpin's need to collect rarities.

"I'm not sure if we will find whoever it is, Professor Ozpin, sir." Gohan answered honestly, "I mean, this guy sounds way more skilled than we give him credit for. If he could make fake papers that could pass of as real to computers, he most certainly knows how to cover his tracks if he doesn't want to be found…"

Ozpin replied as he set his cup onto his desk, "A valid point, Son Gohan…therefore, I believe that Piccolo and the older Trunks might be best suited for tracking this individual down. You may tell your friends and family what you have learned and what we've told you, but if you do, I ask that like the rest of the faculty, that you keep this information strictly confidential."

Gohan bowed in respect as Ozpin last said, "Oh yes, as you, Miss Briefs, and Master Roshi are professors as well, you can access the student database for reference. Especially since Mister Arc isn't the only student who has a secret they rather not have be public knowledge. All students have had backgrounds checked before entering the school…"

Gohan wasn't aware of this little detail, then remembering that it was likely common knowledge in this reality, and felt stupid for not realizing it sooner.

As he headed for his family's room, he decided to check on the student profiles accessible only to Beacon faculty. He quickly perused through the information regarding the students, some of which was as he expected, others were unexpected. But reading one student's profile was shocking to say the least…

"How would they let this one here?" Gohan wondered, "If I'm reading this right, I feel I got to tell the others and keep an eye on this student…"

By Teams RWBY & JNPR's table…

A few days later…

Gohan sat with much of the necessary group of dimension travelers, watching team JNPR with concerned (for most of them) focus. The ones absent are; Majin Buu, Tien, Chiaotzu, Android 17, Oolong, Goku, and the young children.

As Vegeta stuffed his face with food, he remarked, "I still can't believe I was right about that brat not belonging here. He should be thrown out by his *** for dishonoring his pride as a warrior and not earning his place at this silly school…"

Vegeta was quiet for a brief moment, then added, "I give him props for saying he would do what was necessary on his own. He's earned my respect on that front, despite being a hilariously outmatched idiot of a weakling."

"Cool it with the insults, Vegeta!" Bulma snapped at her husband, "Mr. Arc is going through enough trouble as it is. Especially since team CRDL (Cardnial) are picking on the poor boy more than usual…"

"Call it a hunch, but if what you say is true…" Trunks (future) said, "…Then we should let Jaune Arc resolve this issue on his own…"

The rest of the other-worlders either agreed immediately like Vegeta, or reluctantly like Bulma. They had earlier argued with each other about what to do with the information that Jaune Arc falsified his entry into Beacon. They had settled on informing him that the faculty knew, and would expel him immediately for his safety. But, Ozpin happened to meet the group at the tail-end of their settlement, and informed them that, for now, Jaune will remain at Beacon to prove himself worthy of remaining a student here.

It didn't sit well with some, especially Chichi, but her husband and her eldest son managed to calm her down, and begrudgingly accept Ozpin's decision. Especially in keeping that they all know a secret from him.

Team CRDL saw the same rabbit Faunus, Velvet, and were ready to mess with her again. But, they felt a chill run up their spines as they looked and saw Vegeta giving them a glare that would frighten even the Creatures of Grimm. So they immediately withdrew their plans with Velvet, which Vegeta briefly gave a satisfied huff in response.

Most of them (or at least the ones that cared), observed how Cardin and his team were pestering Jaune more than ever before. It took a minute for those who cared to realize what was up…

"It looks like Team CRDL knows Jaune's dirty little secret…" Krillin remarked as he took a bite out of an apple, "What would otherwise be the reason for those idiots to pick on him more than ever…"

They discussed it further into the next five minutes, and then shut themselves up as they heard Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long walk up to the group.

"Hello, Professor Gohan, Professor Briefs, and Master Roshi…" Ruby said and bowed.

"Oh, it's so nice to see you sisters too…" Bulma replied to Ruby, "Is there anything you want from us?"

Yang answered Bulma's question, "No, not really. We just wanted to say high, and maybe give us a few pointers on how to use ki…"

"Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to mastering ki…" Roshi sagely replied, "…It is a discipline that normally takes years to master, and we've been trying to cram a lifetime of training into four years worth of time to train you…"

Yang looked a little disappointed, while Ruby looked dejected, as Yang replied, "Oh. Well…I guess that makes sense…"

The blonde beauty looked at the group and noticed someone missing who usually was here around this time. So she asked, "Uhh…could I ask where is Goku?"

Vegeta bluntly replied as he polished off his meal, "He's off training at that forest nearby, Forever Falls if memory serves. Kakarot left several minutes before your team entered the cafeteria. I'm heading there now to get some training done myself…"

He left the, frankly, scary pile of dishes and scraps at the table. And the Saiyan prince simply left for Forever Falls to (in his reluctance) train with Goku to try and reacquire their most powerful transformations, Super Saiyan Blue.

"I will never get used to the fact that Saiyans eat so much food…" Yang remarked as she pointed at Vegeta's pile.

Krillin remarked, "Oh trust me, you will…I was like you when I was a snot-nosed brat with Goku. These days, I'm used to the fact that Saiyans are practically bottomless pits for food…"

Yang looked a little worried at the thought the little bald ex-monk just said and simply replied, "Oh—Kay…"

"Well, we got to get back to our team to prepare for the next class…" Ruby said as she gently pushed her sister towards their little friend group.

"Oh, hold up!" Bulma said to the half-sister duo.

"What's up, Miss Briefs?" Ruby replied, to which Bulma corrected, "Your team and team JNPR can just call me Bulma, and that isn't what I wanted to tell you…"

Ruby and Yang looked at each other as they wondered, "Okay, what is it?"

Bulma answered their query, "Could you keep an eye on Mr. Arc, we think that Winchester's team have blackmailed your friend. Is that okay with you?"

"Sure…" Ruby said with a salute, with Yang adding, "If you are asking us to, then that's fine by me…"

A sudden, quiet boom was soon heard, followed by the entire cafeteria shaking from what felt like a small earthquake. Everyone looked out the windows to see large plumes of smoke and dust rising into the sky.

Gohan remarked after trying to sense the surrounding area the dust clouds came from, "It seems like Dad and Vegeta are intensifying their training now. And in the process, those Grimm creatures caught in the crossfire are being destroyed…"

"Sure seems that way…" Bulma sighed as she couldn't help but feel that Vegeta was behaving just like he did during the Android crisis back home.

She thinks that might be because of the fact that her husband had 'lost' the power he acquired since then, and they're stuck it seems in another reality.

Bulma thought about it, and considered to build something from back on Earth, here on Remnant. She decided that she will build her father's invention, the gravity chamber, to hopefully curb Vegeta's currently hostile behavior. But that leaves one question…

Where am I going to build it? Bulma thought with a puzzled expression…

A Few Days Later…

At the Forever Falls Field Trip…

Pyrrha had kept her distance from Jaune, both physically and emotionally, since that rooftop chat. Aside from team exercises, the most she would do in regards to her partner/leader is look at him for a few seconds.

She thought as Professor Goodwitch explained to the students what they were doing in the autumnal forest, I know that voice told me to not give up hope with Jaune, but, I'm afraid of getting rejected again from someone I care about. Why are crushes so difficult to deal with…

Pyrrha stopped her train of thought as Professor Goodwitch stated, "…Normally, gathering the sap would've taken place a few meters in the more safe parts of the forest. But…"

Goodwitch looked to her side and shot an irritated glare as she added, "…that part of the forest was destroyed by a couple of brutes during their training…"

The teacher was referring to Goku and Vegeta, the two serving as reluctant bodyguards after they ruined the initial location to gather the sap.

"How long are you going to lord over us for that, woman?" Vegeta replied quite annoyed, especially since Bulma and Chichi found out and forced their husbands to make up for forcing the trip to be held in a section of the forest that is teeming with the Creatures of Grimm.

"These trees take decades to grow large and healthy enough for extracting Professor Peach's tree sap safely." Goodwitch snapped back, her irritation obviously oozing out of her voice, "And because of that, we have to gather the sap we need from the part of Forever Falls that is infested with Grimm! Now, your wives said you were here to serve as bodyguards while we gather the sap. So keep the older Grimm, the more dangerous individuals, as far from us as possible…unless you're too incompetent to do even a task as simple as that…"

Vegeta was visibly pissed as he turned Super Saiyan and snapped back at Goodwitch, "Oh really?! That sounds like a challenge, you *****! Know I can break you in half if I wanted to, a Saiyan prince has no place being some babysitter to a bunch of brats and their nanny!"

The teacher was irritated before, but now she was just plain angry (especially at being called a nanny), as Goodwitch and Vegeta directed killing intent towards each other. The action scaring the students into taking cover, as this is obviously going to get really ugly soon…

Goku didn't seem to care at the moment, his mind was on all the training he was missing out on because he had to make up for a mess he made. Vegeta and Goodwitch would have certainly thrown down like bitter enemies, if it was just Vegeta and Goku with the class…

Krillin and Trunks (future) were there too, and the both of them got in front of Goodwitch and Vegeta respectfully and defused the situation.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold your horses!" Krillin said to the two, "We came along to make sure no one dies during this request…so don't go killing each other and deny those black creatures the opportunity to try themselves…okay?"

"Father, you know that those kinds of feelings attract Grimm like flies to a carcass. Please don't make things harder for all of us…" Trunks added as he stood firm against his angry father.

Vegeta huffed as he powered down and then flew off deeper into the forest, Goodwitch replied to Krillin, "Very well…"

Goodwitch then said to the students, "With that out of the way, here's one last thing. Each of you are to gather one jar's amount of red sap. However, as stated previously, this part of the forest is full of the Creatures of Grimm, so stick close to your teammates. Especially as you gather the sap, as it's aroma has been documented sparsely as possibly being potent enough to attract Grimm."

Glynda Goodwitch then said finally, "We will rendezvous here at 4:00, have fun, and watch your back."

Goku snatched the jar of sap that Glynda had as an example and tasted it, the Saiyan remarking, "OH WOW! That is really GOOD! I gotta get some to Chichi!"

The Saiyan wound up snatching three of the classes spare jars and ran off into the woods to gather the sweet syrup. Nora vehemently opposed to Goku's actions as one of the jars he pilfered was one she was holding. Aside from Pyrrha, everyone else seemed to not notice Jaune and team CDNL head off into the forest to gather the red sap.

Pyrrha refocused on the rest of the group when Ruby asked, "Uh, should we help Mr. Goku with finding the trees if he's joining us in gathering the sap?"

Trunks remarked, "No need, Goku's an expert on wilderness survival, until he met mom over (insert # of years) years ago, he lived on his own since his adoptive grandfather died when he was a boy. He knows all sorts of things to survive in the wild without any of the technology we are so dependent on…"

Glynda raised an eyebrow in surprise as she responded, "Really? I was under the impression that Son Goku was an idiot. Especially because of that other one constantly calling him a moron or clown…"

Krillin laughed as he said, "Yeah, as far as math is concerned, Goku's worse than a kindergartner. But he knows his plants, animals, and where to find water, like a wilderness survivalist extraordinaire. I am sure he can find the trees the sap comes from no problem."

Yang whistled as she remarked, "Wow, if he was that good at that at his age then, he must really be good now…"

Ruby exclaimed, "Wow, he sounds like a Tes Meroud kind of guy if that's true…"

Glynda Goodwitch thought in her mind, This is an unexpected surprise. Ozpin should know about this, as this might be valuable enough for teaching the students…

The woman brought up her scroll and began writing a message to the headmaster, she wouldn't deny that she thought little about Goku, aside from his incredible strength. But, her opinion improved ever so slightly once she heard he was actually quite brilliant as far as wilderness survival is concerned.

"Hey Krillin?" Trunks asked the former monk, "Could you look after Team JNPR since they're a missing a teammate? And be extra careful…"

Krillin looked at the future warrior and asked, "Sure thing. But…uh…may I ask why?"

Trunks had a look on his face that seemed, different than normal, like he was extra cautious of his surroundings. Krillin noticed and thought it was odd. Sure, as Goodwitch stated prior, this part of the red-leaved forest is crawling with the soulless monsters that plague humanity. But they aren't threatening enough to merit this amount of caution.

Krillin is a cautious type himself, so he figured Trunks might have a feeling that there's something…worse, nearby.

"Call it a feeling…" Trunks answered in a cryptic manner that sounded unintentional, "…there's a chill running up my spine, like we're being stalked by something…something extremely dangerous…"

Goodwitch overheard and said, "As these parts of the Forever Falls are seldom visited often, I imagine that there might be a few Grimm that are older and more experienced hiding here…"

Trunks interrupted by saying seriously, "No! I know for a fact that whatever I'm sensing, it is one-hundred percent not a Grimm. Whatever it is, it feels worse…"

Krillin had a bit of sweat forming on his brow, but he swallowed his uneasiness as he replied with a determined, yet nervous smile, "Okay, if you say so…"

Glynda replied, "If what you say is true, then we should be ready to gather the students and escape…"

Trunks then said, "It's hostile, but I feel that whatever it is, won't attack us without a good reason. So it may keep its distance from all of us, until we give it a reason to try and kill us."

Krillin nodded as he left in the direction of the 'N', 'P', 'R' of JNPR. Glynda said to the warrior that he should try to look for his father and Goku and inform them about the situation. Trunks nodded and left as the Professor readied to gather the rest of the teams.

Elsewhere in the Forest…

Cardin Winchester and his team lounged by some rocks and trees on the forest floor, looking absolutely content that they had a gofer.

And then, said gofer arrived with six jars full of red sap. Jaune was breathing kinda awkwardly and collapsed on the ground as the jars miraculously rolled away without even a crack.

"Hey! Great work Jaunie-boy!" Cardin said in a tone that sounded sincere and sarcastic at the same time, "Now that wasn't too hard to do, was it?"

Jaune took a few moments to reply, taking raspy breaths and his eyes looked crossed and enflamed. He responded in a raspy voice, "I think I'm allergic to this sap stuff…"

Cardin dismissed his comment by first saying great four times, then saying, "So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself; 'why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect six jars of tree sap, when there's only five of us…'"

Jaune hazily replied as his apparent allergies to the sap started to lift, "That is one of many questions that I had asked myself today, yes…"

Oh ****! Why do I feel I know where this is going… Jaune thought to himself, as he sat himself upright.

"Well, come with me, and you'll find out…" Cardin said as he wore a grin only those ready to play a horrible prank have on them.

Jaune felt a pit in his stomach and only groaned as his guess is looking to be more on the nose than he wanted.

He was picked up by Cardin and strong armed into following them to a new location.

Cardin then said, "We first have to look for a certain someone…"

With Son Goku…

At around the same time…

Son Goku had already collected the sap from the jars he had on and put them into a bag he found in the forest.

He stretched his arms out with a satisfied groan as he then said to himself, "Alright, Chichi's gonna love this stuff. But now's the time to go fishing. I hope I can catch fish like the ones back home on Mount Paozu…man those were delicious…"

Goku began drooling as he thought about the fish he used to catch when he was a monkey-tailed boy. Those fish tend to be MUCH bigger than what we are used to, easily big enough to swallow a child whole unless they were Goku in his youth.

He used his know how on nature to locate the ideal river that fish tend to swim in. So far, the saiyan's been unusually lucky in not running into a creature of Grimm. Not even the tiny ones that are more pest than threat.

"Oh darn, I forgot to bring a fishing rod…" Goku said, then shrugged as he said to himself, "Oh well, I guess I can do it like the bears did back home…"

Goku got in the water after taking his boots off, and waited to snatch up the biggest fish he could find in the river. He waited patiently, and then in a quick succession, he grabbed a big fish (looked like a salmon as big as a cat). He celebrated for a little bit, but quickly got in a defensive stance as he sensed something, ominous directed at him.

What was that I felt? pondered the Saiyan, This ki I'm sensing, it reeks of the aura of a killer…where is it, I can feel its presence aimed right at me…

He slowly inched out of the water and put his boots on, he felt the presence become more intense. More…dangerous…

Goku could best describe the feeling as being similar, yet different from being hunted by the assassin of universe 6, Hit…

His senses have never been this tense in all his battles, the closest was his confrontations against Beerus & Zamasu. Even those battles didn't give the same, oppressive levels of dread.

He heard a branch snap and quickly fired a ki blast at the direction it came from. He wound up killing a large Creature of Grimm that looked to be an old Creep given its size. Goku briefly sighed with relief, until he noticed the sensation he felt didn't go away.

In fact, it felt even stronger, as it now had a killing intent that only a truly evil and wicked monster possessed. It became so strong that Goku could now feel where his stalker was hiding, and he saw a pair of eyes as red as freshly-spilled blood staring at him. And a mouth with razor-sharp teeth with blood dripping from its fangs like snake venom.

Goku knows, from the ki he was sensing from this creature, this thing is too strong for him in his base form.

But before he could power up to Super Saiyan, the monster lunged at him with supernatural speed…

And a bone-chilling, inhuman scream…

At the Same Time…

Everyone present heard the cry that sent chills down all their spines. Jaune and Team CRDL turned their heads briefly in the direction the sound came from.

"Wh-what the hell was that?!" Russel Thrush asked, quite unnerved by how unnatural that scream sounded.

"That's no scream from a human, or Grimm. I can tell you that…" Sky Lark added, rubbing the goosebumps on his arms.

Cardin was concerned about that noise, but he quickly got back to the task at hand, saying, "Come on, stay focused…"

Jaune was the last to arrive to a small cliff overlooking a section of the forest, with Team CRDL crouched down, Jaune thought to crouch down himself.

He was a little surprised that he saw his team, some of Team RWBY, and Krillin gathering the red sap. Ren was filling a couple jars, only because Nora kept consuming the filled jars at a unreal speed.

Krillin quickly turned his gaze towards the cliff the five young men were at, and they just as quickly huddled down to avoid being seen.

Krillin sensed it was team CRDL and Jaune Arc on that cliff, he quickly deduced that Cardin was ready to let loose a prank of sorts, and he smiled at the silliness of it. This was a little more convenient for him in that Jaune is within his senses in case anything bad happens.

Pyrrha noticed as she sealed her jar, and asked the former monk, "Is there something wrong, Krillin?"

Pyrrha slightly hesitated as she called Krillin just that with no honorifics, remembering he asked that Team RWBY & JNPR at least call him just by his name.

Krillin chuckled a little, as he quietly said to the huntress-in-training while pointing to the cliff, "On that cliff over there, that Cardin jerk, his team, and Jaune are hiding. My guess is that Cardin's planning to pull a prank on you as payback."

Pyrrha looked quite surprised, as Krillin added after her initial curiosity, "For now, pretend that you don't notice them, I have an idea on how to turn the prank back on that bully."

Pyrrha looked like she wanted to protest as Krillin snickered like a mischievous gremlin, but held her tongue when the martial artist assured her that Jaune will be unharmed. Ruby and Yang overheard the two and decided to play along as well, remembering Bulma's earlier request to keep an eye on Jaune.

Krillin then said to the teams around him (in a partially convincing manner to those in the know), "Well, it looks like you guys have this handled, so I'm gonna look for Goku and make sure that he doesn't die again…"

This unintentional slip caught everyone's attention (even Jaune and Team CRDL's), as they all thought the same question; if Son Goku had died already, how is he still alive, or brought back from the dead?

Krillin left east to the group before any of them inquired about what he meant by Goku dying again. Pyrrha, Yang, and Ruby all still dwelling on what the bald monk has said.

Jaune quickly put the thought back in his head as he asked Cardin, who looked focused on something else at the moment, "Hey Cardin, what's going on here? Why are we looking at my team and Ruby's team?"

Cardin replied with one word, his gaze focused on Pyrrha Nikos, "Payback…"

Jaune noticed Cardin's gaze was focused on his partner, the girl he upset, and asked, "Towards Pyrrha?"

"What are yo-…?" Jaune began to ask, only for his blackmailer to interrupt while hitting the ground, "That's the girl. Red-haired, know-it-all, thinks she's so smart. Time to show her what happens when you cross me…"

Cardin had a smirk as he reached for a box that was buzzing, and said, "Alright boys. Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up a whole box-full of Rapier Wasps. And now, we're going to put them to work…"

Jaune was suddenly grabbed by Russel, as Cardin elaborated on his plan, "Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things LOVE sweets. Like the red sap we've been collecting. Their stings are supposed to be extremely painful and cause nasty swelling. Perfect for payback…"

Russel got up to his feet, and Cardin pulled Jaune up to his feet, and said as he handed him the sixth jar of sap, "And you're going to do it, Jaunie boy…"

Team CRDL chuckled as Jaune hesitantly held the jar, feeling the peer pressure all teens experience, he dared to ask…

"Do what?" Jaune asked, and Cardin replied with slight annoyance, "Hit her with the sap, or your time at Beacon is over once I have a chat with Goodwitch. Then you'll be on the first airship out of here…"

Jaune felt the tension build quite severely once he was reminded why Cardin had him on a leash. He was unaware that he had an eavesdropper high in the sky via Trunks, silently observing the group while still keeping an eye out for Vegeta.

Come on Jaune Arc… Trunks thought as he saw the blonde pull his arm back readied to throw the red sap jar, …Don't give in to their demands. You're stronger than that…

Jaune thought about how for the past few days, Pyrrha was giving him the cold shoulder. A part of him, tiny as it was, wanted to let loose the jar, his hand trembled as he was struggling to go through with the motion. He thought that he had to do it, he has to stay at Beacon to become a warrior like the men in his family. To carry the Arc legacy. He even began to wonder why he was even on Remnant, why was he born. It ate away at his conscious, he didn't know why he thought he could make it as a Huntsman…

But when the boy saw his partner, the beautiful warrior woman smiling as she filled a few extra jars of sap, he remembered.

He wanted to help others, he wanted to be a hero like those in comics and television. He wanted to be a hero like his father, and those before him. And he knew in his heart, that heroes never give a second thought about doing what is right. He really messed up, and he was hoping that, even a little bit, that his next actions could make up for how he treated Pyrrha's kindness.

"No…" Jaune said, as he lowered his hand handling the jar.

"What did you say?" Cardin asked, only for Jaune to reply in anger, "I said, NO!"

Jaune lobbed the jar meant for Pyrrha at Cardin, splattering over Cardin's armor. Jaune realized his blunder too late as Cardin replied in an unsettlingly calm manner…

"Oh-ho-ho…you've done it now…guys, grab him…"

Jaune was locked in a submissive mindset as the four, especially Cardin radiated a killing intent directed at him. Two of them grabbed Jaune's shoulders and dragged him away from the cliffs to another section of the forest, where the teams below won't hear Jaune's screams of pain.

Pyrrha couldn't explain why, but she suddenly felt a chill run up her spine, in the direction of the cliff Krillin told her Jaune and Team CRDL was. She turned to face the cliff with a nervous expression.

Ruby noticed this change in Pyrrha, recalling her being in quite good spirits a few moments ago. She asked her friend, "Pyrrha, are you okay? You seem tense…"

Pyrrha replied half-heartedly, "Yeah…" and looked back at the cliff. This feeling she felt, it wasn't like the dread of a Grimm nearby, it felt more…sinister…

More…evil, than Grimm…

She held her most recent jar of sap close to her, this feeling distracting her enough for Pyrrha to faintly hear the sound of slurping. She looked down to the jar, and saw it opened and empty.

"NORA!" Pyrrha exclaimed angrily, while said girl was running off to consume more of the delicious tree sap.

Suddenly, a loud blast, followed by a shockwave ruptured through the woods throwing everyone off their feet. Some miles away, they see a cloud of dust fly up into the sky in the shape of a mushroom. The students remembered that it was in the direction that the Saiyan Goku headed off to. And they suspect he might have encountered a particularly strong Grimm.

Jaune was knocked to the forest floor hard by a combination of the shockwave and Cardin pushing him.

"Hey Cardin…" Russel asked his leader, "…Maybe we should get back to the rest of the class if either that Goku or Vegeta guy is fighting Grimm…"

Cardin however, was too focused on 'teaching' Jaune a lesson, and said after punching Jaune to the ground, "Come on Jaunie boy, you know that wasn't very smart…"

Cardin picked Jaune up as he gave his threat, "I'm going to make sure that they send you back to mommy in teenie, tiny pieces."

Jaune said in a meek defiance to his oppressor, "I don't care what you do to me, but you are not messing with my team…"

"Come on Cardin…" one of Team CRDL said (not sure who), "…I have a bad feeling about this. Remember what Professor Goodwitch said…"

Cardin was too focused on Jaune, as he replied to the blonde bitterly, "What? You think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big, strong man now? Well then, let's see how big and strong you are NOW!"

Krillin managed to find the five, and realized what was going down quickly and determined that he had to put a stop to this before the negative emotions in play attract the Creatures of Grimm…

Jaune, beaten and bruised, managed to give the angry Cardin a smile in response to the man's threat. This angered Cardin more than usual, unknowingly attracting pretty large and old Grimm to the group.

Cardin threw a punch at Jaune's jaw, determined to break it and wipe that smug look off his face. But once the fist connected, a flash of light erupted from Jaune, and Cardin dropped the leader of team JNPR. The brunette man held his hand in pain once it connected to Jaune's jaw.

Ahgh! What the ****ing hell?! Cardin thought as he recoiled in pain towards his prior action, My hand ****ing hurts! It's like I punched a solid brick wall!

Jaune looked down to see that same light dance around the outline of his arms and hands. He soon realized that it must have been his aura that Pyrrha unlocked for him at orientation.

Jaune didn't get a chance to dwell upon it any longer, as Cardin kicked his back and forced him down to the floor. Cardin radiated murderous intent, Krillin sensed it and knew he had to act now, especially since he saw birds in the trees flying away as something big rushed through the trees.

Cardin said as he cracked his knuckles, "Let's see how much of a man you really are, regardless of your aura…"

Everyone's blood ran cold once they heard a guttural bellow come from their left. And through the trees, five massive, Ursa Grimm ran through like megalomaniacs. The hatred Cardin had, and the fear from his team, was like a homing signal to these five bear-shaped Grimm. The largest was the size of a dump truck, while the smallest was twice the size of a polar bear.

All were big enough to swallow the teens whole if they wanted. Krillin acted fast and unleashed five blasts at the Grimm, but the attack only connected with four of them. The second largest ducked as the four were knocked back into the forest. Krillin said as he readied to destroy the monsters…

"Hey! Get out of here! I'll handle this!"

Krillin assumed he hit all five of them, but wasn't aware of one that he missed, and the Ursa sniffed the air. It caught the scent of Cardin's lingering anger, his newly surfaced fear, and something…irresistibly sweet…

It locked its soulless red eyes onto Cardin's breastplate and gunned for him. Russel, Dove, and Sky ran off in fear, due to the Ursa being much larger than the ones during the initiation. Leaving Cardin, and a bruised Jaune behind.

Cardin soon began to panic, the bald dwarf named Krillin was too busy fighting four massive Grimm, and he was stuck facing one with heightened intelligence.

He was so screwed…especially since after he was swatted away, the Grimm turned its attention towards him over the easier prey of an injured huntsman-in-training…

Meanwhile…

Back with Team RWBY and NPR…

Pyrrha, Weiss, and Ruby were finishing up collecting a few more extra jars of sap, because Nora consumed most of the sap they already collected. It took some doing, but they all caught Nora, and three of them were beginning to take her back to Goodwitch, until team CRDL minus Cardin came running through, shouting…

"Ursa! Ursa!"

Yang grabbed Russel by the collar of his shirt, and demanded, "What?! Where?"

Russel replied without hesitation, "Back there, five of them and their huge! The bald guy is fighting four of them, but one's got Cardin!"

Pyrrha dropped her jar of sap after hearing that last part. Krillin fighting four of five large Ursa Grimm, implies that all five were old, which equals intelligent. But her face went pale as she soon realized who else was with Cardin…

"Jaune…" she uttered aloud, Ruby and Yang remembered at the same time as Pyrrha, and wore similar expressions.

Ruby took charge quickly, and said, "Yang, you and Blake, go get Professor Goodwitch! Nora, Ren, go with them…"

Pyrrha added as she activated her weapons, "There could be more of them than five…go now!"

More shockwaves could be felt, indicating either that whatever Goku was fighting was getting more intense, or he was sneaking in some training with Vegeta to re-unlock this 'Super Saiyan Blue' power of theirs.

Ruby, Weiss, and Pyrrha ran off towards the direction Russel pointed, Pyrrha hoping that they aren't too late…

Back with Cardin and Jaune…

Jaune was beginning to recover from Cardin's beatings thanks to his aura, but was having difficulty getting back on his feet. He was seeing as Cardin was running from the monster, since the Grimm knocked away Cardin's mace.

Being knocked around by the huge Ursa, Cardin knew he was way past screwed. If his constant uttering of the word 'crap' is any indicator.

Ruby, Weiss, and Pyrrha arrived just within the clearing's borders, and saw past them, bright flashes that indicated that Krillin was dealing with the four that accompanied the one attacking Cardin.

Pyrrha realized that they were too late as the Ursa delivered a killing swipe at Cardin, but the blow was blocked by Jaune's shield.

Weiss was ready to strike at the Ursa, but Pyrrha noticed a resolve in Jaune's eyes, and told the heiress to wait, and give Jaune a chance to be a hero. Even if the one he's saving was his tormentor.

Jaune and the Ursa took a few swipes at each other, but it was clear that the Grimm's attacks were more damaging. Jaune tried to roll out of the way of some of the swings, but a few were direct hits to his aura.

Come on Jaune… Pyrrha thought, I know you can do it…

Jaune looked at his scroll and noticed that his aura reader was in the red (much like an RPG health bar), meaning that he couldn't take another hit like the last one.

The Ursa charged, sensing the impending death of the blonde human, ready to tear the huntsman-in-training to shreds. Jaune could feel that now was as good as it will get to deliver the killing blow to the bear-like monster.

He charged at the creature as well, and brought his sword down with a mighty swing, unaware the Ursa was going to have a direct hit to Jaune's unguarded flank. The two are going to end up killing each other to bring the other down…

Until Pyrrha noticed and activated her semblance, magnetism, and brought Jaune's shield up to block the Ursa's attack.

"Don't die on me yet, Jaune Arc…" Pyrrha uttered to herself so quietly, that Ruby and Weiss didn't hear her.

The angle of the shield caused the Ursa's paw to slide along the shield's surface, knocking it off balance and giving Jaune a golden opportunity to slay the monster.

Jaune was knocked to one knee as the weight of the Ursa sliding over his shield, and he saw the opportunity to go for the neck of the creature. The most vulnerable part of this creature.

The boy with a mighty shout, swung his sword upwards and cleanly sliced the Grimm's head clean off in one swoop. The soulless monster's corpse began dissipating once its non-existent life was snuffed.

Pyrrha opened her eyes as she deactivated her semblance, pleased she prevented Jaune from dying too soon.

Ruby and Weiss both noticed, as they respectfully said, "Uh, What?/How did you–?"

Pyrrha answered Weiss, "Well, Ruby has her speed, and you have your glyphs…my semblance is polarity, I have control over magnetism, which means I can control metal…"

Ruby uttered, "Whoa, that's so-o-o-o cool…"

Pyrrha began walking away, causing Weiss to ask, "Wait! Where are you going?"

"Yeah! We got to tell them what happened…" Ruby added.

Pyrrha smiled as she replied, "We could…or perhaps we can leave now and keep it our little secret…"

She started to blush a little as she saw her crush sheath his family heirloom, and walk up to Cardin.

Weiss then said, "What about that Krillin guy? He's fighting four more Ursa, who those jerks said were bigger than this one…all on his own…"

Pyrrha's smile dropped as she recalled that detail, and added, "You make a good point–…"

Jaune helped Cardin to his feet, to which the young man exclaimed at what he saw, "Holy crap Jaune…I didn't think you had it in you…"

Jaune firmly gripped Cardin's hand as he gave a warning to the leader of CRDL, "I'll say this once: Don't you mess with my team…my friends, ever again…you will answer to me if you do…"

Cardin was actually intimidated as Jaune asked, "Got it?"

The leader of team CRDL wordlessly complied, only for the sound of branches snapping close to them alerting them.

The two boys then saw Krillin walk out of the woods, looking much worse than Jaune did after his duel with the Ursa. But, let's be honest, Krillin's fight was much worse than Jaune's.

Pyrrha, Ruby, and Weiss rushed over to the three to help the martial artist.

Jaune asked, regaining his earlier timidity, "Wh-what?! Pyrrha, Weiss, Ruby?! When did you–…?"

"We just arrived as soon as you helped Cardin Winchester to his feet…" Weiss lied, deciding to honor Pyrrha's request, "…We were told by the rest of his team that five Ursa attacked the lot of you. And it appears that Krillin might have taken on more Ursa than you did, based on both of your injuries…"

Krillin chuckled a little as Ruby helped him up, "Heh-heh…yeah, you got me. I thought I was taking on all of them, but it seemed one escaped from my attack."

Krillin gave a small wave of his hand, telling Ruby non-verbally that he's fine, as he added, "Those things were smart. It took me a while to trip one up for me to decapitate it with my Kienzan attack. Maybe I should teach you kids how to use it, because even with their armor, that ki technique sliced through them like a hot knife through butter…"

"Kienzan?" Pyrrha inquired, "That means, 'Destruction Disk', doesn't it…"

Krillin laughed as he confirmed it, "Yeah, that's it. Can't tell you how many times it saved my bacon. And trust me, I may look like I went through a wood-chipper, but I assure you, I went through worse than this. Like getting impaled through the chest with a foot-long horn on a mad tyrant's cranium…"

They were all speechless at Krillin's mention of getting impaled through the chest, but all of them felt their blood run cold once something deep in the Forever Falls woods let out a loud, ear-splitting scream. Like it was in agony.

Jaune said after the cry fell silent, "Let's get the heck out of here before we find out what kind of Grimm made that noise…"

Krillin replied, "I agree. We'll need Saiyans if it shows it's mug around us…"

Five minutes later…

At the Rendezvous Point…

Glynda was waiting for Jaune, Pyrrha, Ruby, Weiss, Cardin, Krillin, and the two Saiyans at the bullhead.

Trunks was there, looking a little scuffed up, but he had no injuries. His clothes took most of the damage, as they had tears caused by Grimm picking fights with the time traveler.

Glynda didn't have to wait long as Vegeta came down from the sky, holding a Beowulf in between his hands, the Grimm snarling and trying (but failing) to get the Saiyan prince to let go of it.

"Glad you made it back, no trouble at all…" Trunks said, to which Vegeta arrogantly replied, "You think I can't handle these weak creatures? I'm the Prince of all Saiyans, such weaklings are hardly worth my time and effort…"

He mercilessly snapped the Beowulf's neck by twist the head violently, a loud audible snap indicating that the soulless monster was dead. Its body turned to smoke as it slumped lifelessly to the forest floor.

Glynda glared at Vegeta with disgust over his arrogance, she wondered why someone like Bulma Briefs was married to this frustrating man.

"Maybe not in power…" Glynda forewarned, "…But, the older Grimm have a tendency to being intelligent enough to match even veteran huntsman…"

Vegeta cockily dared, "Then show me where these 'older Grimm' can be found…I am eager for more of a challenge…"

Glynda had ended up telling him that the older Grimm were larger, and 'spikier' than normal, with some having scars from battles they survived, or a few having actual weapons stuck to their bodies.

Pyrrha, Ruby, Weiss, Cardin, Jaune, and Krillin managed to get to the clearing. Krillin was helped to the aircraft by Trunks as they waited for our favorite Saiyan of Earth…

Trunks remarked, "Looks like you've seen better days, Eh Krillin?"

Krillin remarked, "Oh please, after all we've went through in the past, this is very minor. Still hurts like hell though…"

Trunks chuckled a little, and then said, "Well, as I searched the woods for Vegeta, I found something I was not expecting to see here…"

Krillin's curiosity was peaked as Trunks pulled from the pocket of his pants, a brown pouch, that made a rustling noise like marbles. Trunks saw Krillin was about to ask what is it, especially since the bag looked like it was exposed to nature for a few weeks at most.

The future warrior said before Krillin could ask, "I found this buried under a pile of leaves. It has at least 38 Senzu Beans inside…"

Krillin and even Vegeta were taken aback, as Krillin exclaimed in shock, "Hold up, What?! Senzu Beans?! Seriously?!"

Vegeta demanded, "How did those beans even get here in the first place!?"

The natives of Remnant in the know (which constituted Glynda Goodwitch, team RWBY, & team JNPR) were quite confused as to why these 'Senzu Beans' illicit such reactions.

"Umm…what are Senzu Beans?" Ruby asked, to which Krillin answered, "To put it shortly; Senzu Beans are a kind of handy medicine from back home, eat one and you not only recover from any serious or fatal injury, but restore your power to full strength…"

Ruby's eyes weren't the only ones that were bulging in surprise at that brief explanation. Glynda's were probably showing the biggest surprise, a 'wonder drug' that could, if she understood Krillin correctly, heal someone with an injury as severe as having a hole punched through the heart. She knew Ozpin had to know about the Senzu Beans, and quickly composed herself to call the headmaster about this new development. Jaune looked a little annoyed over the fact that the otherworlders had something like that, and didn't have it on them when he received those really painful injuries sometime earlier in the year.

Trunks offered one to Krillin, but he refused, saying that for injuries as minor as his were, he preferred to let nature do the work. Trunks accepted the ex-monk's decision, and decided to hand the bag of Senzu Beans to him for safekeeping.

Vegeta looked around, then asked in annoyance, "Hey! Where's that clown, Kakarot?"

Krillin and Trunks noticed that Goku wasn't anywhere nearby. But, before they could go search for him, they suddenly heard the man's voice say, "I'm over here…"

They looked to see Goku fly down, and he was holding something in his left hand. Everyone quickly noticed that Goku was bleeding in some places, bruised in others, and his clothes were quite torn. He definitely looked worse for wear than Krillin.

Goku had managed to arrive at the class' rendezvous location, with a few scrapes and bruises, and looking completely out of breath.

Vegeta looked surprised at the state Goku was in, but he jabbed at Goku, "Ha-ha-ha-ha! What the hell happened to you, Kakarot? Don't tell me you underestimated those weak Grimm creatures…"

Goku replied, "No…I fought some kind of creature, and I can tell you it wasn't one of those things. It was alive, it bled, and it had ki…"

The Saiyan immediately regretted it as he collapsed to his knees, hissing in pain as he clutched his side.

Krillin reacted immediately and said, "Whoa, if you are like that, then we should definitely use a Senzu Bean for you…"

Krillin pulled one out from the bag and handed it to Goku. Goku didn't waste time to begin chewing the bean, after thanking his best friend. Team RWBY heard the chewing, and thought that this bean sounded like Goku was chewing on some kind of hard candy or something. The audible crunches make Yang and Blake rub their cheeks like they had cavities.

Goku swallowed the bean, and the huntresses-in-training heard what sounded like a very painful gulp from the Saiyan. Goku's tired eyes seconds later burst with a look of re-energization, and his body responded just as energetically. He soon was throwing air punches at speeds even most bullets could only hope to match.

Team RWBY, JNPR, and Glynda Goodwitch looked at what happened in surprise. They just bore witness to what these Senzu Beans could do, and are eager to try and utilize them in their fight against the Grimm.

Krillin asked as he let out a small sigh of relief, "By the way…you mentioned that whatever attacked you was not a Creature of Grimm. So what was it if it wasn't something like those soulless monsters?"

Goku shrugged as he answered, "Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at it, other than its eyes were, strangely, on the palms of its hands. But it was dark colored, so I had to rely on my senses to get a read on it. That thing, from what I could tell, had a terrible smell that smelled like rotting flesh. It also let out these weird, bone-chilling screams among hissing like a huge snake…"

This made everyone quite nervous, that horrid sound they heard earlier must have been what attacked Goku. It didn't help that Goku said it smelled like a corpse.

"Oh!" Goku exclaimed, landing his closed fist onto his open hand, "I managed to injure it! Took its arm and cut it off with your technique Krillin. This is the arm of what attacked me…"

After searching in the short perimeter of where he landed, he found what he was looking for in a bush red like the trees.

Goku then presented to everyone…the severed limb of his attacker…!

Ruby let out a horrified scream as Goku showed the severed arm of whatever he fought, the limb still twitching weakly as blood dripped from the wound. And the eye in the palm showed no signs of life.

"What in the name of the gods is that?!" Goodwitch exclaimed, revolted by the sight of the torn limb of Goku's attacker.

Yang quickly grabbed her sister in a defensive position as Weiss and Pyrrha wretched at the ugly limb. Blake was as pale as a ghost as a revelation dawned on her, if the owner of this limb could overwhelm Goku even in Super Saiyan, it may be a bigger threat than the Grimm.

Ren and Nora were greatly unsettled by the body part, no Grimm had an arm like this, period. Jaune was too exhausted from fighting that large Ursa to really pay attention, but he was still quite intimidated by the creature's limb.

Krillin wound up saying something that only made the dread the denizens of Remnant felt more powerful.

"Yeash! That thing looks like it belongs to a monster from a horror film…"

Goodwitch glared at Krillin and said harshly, "You could've been more tactful when you say things like that, Mr. Krillin. Now the Grimm will be drawn to this location because of your comment…"

They soon heard the distinctive cries of the Beowulf species of Grimm. Vegeta said quite harshly…

"The rest of you get on the airship! It's been a long time before I had this many opponents, that are weak. But, they are enormous fun to destroy…"

Vegeta promptly charged at the sound of, what Glynda guesses, around thirty Beowulves. Varied in size, but on the large scale, and it sounds like there are possibly more of what she thinks by her estimate.

The aircraft began to take off, Trunks and Krillin sticking with the students while Goku flew off to join Vegeta to obliterate the Creatures of Grimm.

As the group left for the bullhead transport, the aircraft was eyed by an animal unlike any other on Remnant. It looked to be a reptile in the shadows, with sharp teeth and a crown of horns. Its reptilian slits narrowed as it eyed the mysterious craft, Ruby Rose looked out the window to see something look up at the craft, the animal staring at the plane. Directly at her…

Ruby was worried, the dark colors and shadows made this creature look like the silhouette of a Grimm. But, the scythe-wielder saw the creature retreat in the forest, it seems whatever it was, it lost interest. Ruby let out a sigh of relief, especially since Pyrrha also saw the creature, and the two decided it wasn't worth troubling everyone else telling them about it.

Several hours later…

At the Roof of Beacon Academy's Dorm Rooms…

Jaune was looking out to the academy grounds from the roof. Ironically enough, it was the same rooftop Pyrrha took him up to a few weeks ago.

"So…no Cardin tonight?" Pyrrha asked her team leader, "…I thought you two were best friends…"

Pyrrha sounded sarcastic, in a way that sounded hostile (even though she had long forgiven her leader). Jaune seemed to fall for Pyrrha's ruse and, instead of answering her question, he instead said something else…

"Pyrrha…I'm sorry. I was a jerk, and you were just trying to be nice, and…"

Jaune began to fumble his words a little, making Pyrrha giggle in her mind, as he finally managed to say, "…I had all this, stupid, macho stuff in my head. And I was a complete *** towards you, and you didn't deserve any–!"

"Shh…" Pyrrha hushed him and said, "…Jaune, it's okay…I forgive you, for all of it…"

Jaune and Pyrrha smiled for a bit, before Pyrrha then said, "Your team really misses their leader, Jaune. They also miss their friend…"

The Minstral champion added as she began to head to the stairs, "You should come down…Ren made pancakes~…no syrup though, Nora made sure of that because she kept eating the red sap…"

Jaune actually thought it was a little charming when Pyrrha sang the word 'pancakes' implying that she might have a soft spot for the breakfast staple. He pushed that cute image of little Pyrrha eating a stack of pancakes as he decided…

"Wait!" He said with conviction, gaining Pyrrha's attention, "I know I don't deserve it after all that I put you through happened. Especially me hurting your feelings. But…"

Jaune shyly looked away as he asked, "But, would you be willing…uh…t-to become a better fighter? I don't want to be a burden…"

Pyrrha turned her back towards Jaune, only to hide a satisfied smile, and a noticeable blush on her face. She turned around with a neutral expression, walked up to Jaune, then pushed him to the ground with a shove.

"Hey!" Jaune exclaimed, before Pyrrha said next, "Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground…"

Pyrrha helped him up as she said to him, "Let's try that again. We need to get you up to speed if you don't want the professors to notice about your falsified entry to Beacon…"

"I'm afraid they already know, Ms. Nikos…"

Pyrrha and Jaune heard a familiar voice come from above and saw Gohan and Krillin fly down to the roof.

Jaune's blood drained from his face as he tried and failed to deny his guilt, but Gohan said before the boy had a chance to finish a single word…

"Ozpin, and all the faculty have known you used fake documents to enter Beacon Academy since before day one of the school. My friends, family and myself found out when the two of you were last up here a couple weeks ago. I was up on that roof reviewing the martial arts course that day, when I overheard the two of you talking about helping Mr. Arc…"

Jaune lowered his head in defeat, he knew now that he was so screwed, and he was going to be kicked out. Pyrrha was about to defend Jaune, but Krillin explained before she could…

"Listen, the only reason you weren't kicked out already Jaune, is because the headmaster thinks you have potential. And we all agree, but it's clear you really need to step up. Because Ozpin has stated that if you do not improve your standing soon, regardless of your potential, you will be kicked to the curb."

Jaune could only reply meekly, "Oh-okay…"

Gohan sighed as he said with a smile, "And aside from Ms. Nikos, Piccolo, Krillin, and myself have offered to help accelerate your skills in combat. But be warned that all of us, Piccolo especially, will not go easy on you. And we expect Ms. Nikos to not go easy as well…okay…"

"Don't worry…" Pyrrha replied with a smile, "…I'll make sure he's ready for the Vytal Festival…"

Thus, Jaune's catch-up training began…

They were unaware of dark forces that were in play…

XXXXXXXXX?

XX?/XX?/XX?, XX?:XX? XX?

"So…things are escalating in all these other realities? Intensifying in severity of the risk of complete collapse…?"

"It seems to be that way, especially if we cannot find a way to stop him…"

"I've peered through trillions of infinite futures, but I found something…odd…"

"Odd? What do you mean bro?"

"Yeah, what do you mean?"

"For some inexplicable reason, untold masses of possible futures are…converging to a single point…"

"Huh…while I agree that is odd even on itself, why do you have such a concerned look on your face…?"

"Concerned? Your brother's face looks the same expressionless face to me and he spoke in that emotionless tone he practically trademarked. Where is it that shows he is concerned…?"

"You haven't been with him as long as I have. I can pick up on changes that, unless you've been with my bro as long as I have, you would miss entirely…"

"Okay…then, what about an untold number of futures converging to a single point in time is concerning, sir?"

"Because events like that tend to be, reality-shattering in scope. As well as the fact that I…cannot see past that point…"

"Okay…that's actually concerning. Before Mr. Ugly-Chin did his thing, you told me once that we had at least a trillion years more to see the evolution of existence. But, you're telling me from the barely noticeable tone in your voice that…that we have…"

"We have at least two years as the Earth rotates before this convergence occurs, and that the window of time before then is shrinking more and more…it isn't a surprise who's at the center of it…"

"The gilded murderer I take it…"

"Why am I not surprised…! Two of the most powerful beings in all of reality are at the center of it all."

"Our allies are dealing with the forces conspiring with that psychopath, but we're spread thin. What else can we do, since this is clearly something that takes priority…"

"Sister…"

"What?"

"I understand you have been recruiting more to our cause to deal with those who worship evil. Perhaps it's time to bring those you've scouted in…"

"I agree with your brother, although I understand your reluctance to recruit some into your little organization…"

"Some of those realities have no place in my organization…correction, Our organization. But between me, my brother, and my father's co-worker, the last one is currently MIA. With the boss man being the only one to know where he is at the moment."

"Please, what realities have no place-…"

"The one with the oversized, canniblistic giants that were formerly human that some 'people' don't shut up about. The one with that bastard who people seem to love despite how huge of an ***hole he is towards everyone. Or…"

"Okay, okay! I get your point! I get why you don't want those realities to be a part of your little organization…"

"And to avoid realities collapsing…?"

"One set of realities of any multiversal cluster, or 'franchise' as you call them, at a time…I get it, you don't want any two or more people who are, cosmically speaking the same person, making any kind of physical contact. Collapsing realities is something you avoid at all costs."

"I have to consult with our father and his master on this matter…it may be dire enough for them to get involved more than they already have…"

"Fine…as for you, perhaps you should seek further training. After all, you are dad's pupil in the fighting arts…"

"Okay, I'll do just that…"

"*sigh*…I wish I knew where to look for the only one who could defeat him. He's missing in the sprawling multiverse, and he's the only one who could defeat…Zero…"

That seems puzzling, is there something more going on with Goku and friends ending up on Remnant. Or is it a small play in a significantly bigger conflict…

A thing to note about the next chapter, it is a break to see some of the other Z Warriors are doing in between this chapter and the next one that will take place during the end of Volume 1 of RWBY

And the next two chapters have some pretty big surprises in store…

Like, changing what you thought about the story, kind of surprises…!

Now, onto specific notes for this chapter:

Hmm…there's definitely something…off…with Trunks. Could it be a case that is caused by his missing time machine? Possibly, we will have to wait and see if that's true…

Gohan, FYI is not referring to Jaune as he looked at the student profiles, but he also wasn't looking at Blake's…whose file could he have looked at…

Tes Meroud is meant to be a RWBY-letter-switch-parody of Survivorman host, Les Stroud…

Oh jeez! What the hell was that thing that attacked and nearly killed Goku? Well, I can tell you it is DEFINITELY not a Grimm!

The voices at the end are three in number, one male and two female. I wonder who they could be, especially since there's a brother-sister duo in that trio…?

Until next time, this is Gojiradon signing off…

Peace!
