Santana was not and would never be a massive fan of Charlie's twin. She didn't blame Quinn for Charlie's lot in life, that wouldn't be fair. Quinn had been a child just like Charlie had been, she was just as much of a victim as Charlie was. And she was aware that those that were abused had a high chance of becoming abusers themselves. Quinn had grown up as a Templar and it was true she had eventually become disillusioned with the order but that didn't change all the harm that Quinn had done when she had believed that they were some incorruptible force.

At the very least she was making it up for it now. "Did you know she took some legal courses?"

Sebastian glances up from where he's currently on a phone, a tablet and a laptop. Coordinating between the strike team and getting people riled up enough to show up just outside Templar grounds was exhausting, plus he was keeping his own boss appraised of anything that could go wrong. "Santana, I don't give a shit what Quinn has done in her spare time. She was an overachiever. Who the fuck cares. This is clearly an attempt to embarrass the council of Templars and seize control, while looking for more like minded Templars." Sebastian said flatly. "Did you really agree to go on a date with Charlie?"

Santana flushes, it was like Charlie had forgotten she was broadcasting the whole thing to the world the trial, but there was something so hopeful and innocent about what she had said that she knew it had to resonate with people. "Not that it's any of your business, but I was thinking about our relationship before all this happened. I was going to talk about it with her, and trust that she could handle it."

"She's not a child Santana, she is capable. And she does pay her own bills on time. You were right we gave her the space after teaching her what to do and she does it. I mean she still loses her key card all the time, but baby steps." Sebastian is suddenly pulled away when his tablet beeps. "There we go."

Santana tore her eyes away from the television for a moment, and looks at Sebastian. "Is the team ready for an extraction or whatever your silly military term is?"

"Teams been in place since she arrived, had to caution them a few times when the Templars got a bit physical, none of them are happy. But as of right now, protests have broken out in London, in New York, in California, in Chicago, outside of churches and Templar strangleholds. The public is on our side. For once the public isn't buying that the Templars are good, whatever the fuck that means."

Santana frowned, there was something that was bothering her about this entire thing. The only people who seemed to be aware of what was going on outside of the walls was Charlie and Quinn, and she didn't quite know how. She knew for a fact that the room didn't contain every Templar on the planet, they had people watching for terrors, but she didn't understand why no one had alerted the Templars of the shit show that they were currently in. "What did you do?"

"Excuse me?" Sebastian asked looking up at her.

"We're watching this live—"

"There's a ten second time delay," Sebastian interrupted.

"You know what I mean. The world is watching and none of those Templars know that they are currently being led to the noose, or that it's around their neck and I want to know how."

A Cheshire grin appeared on Sebastian's face. "That's on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know."

"Is it illegal?" Santana asked crossing her arms. She wasn't going to let Charlie be dragged into anything illegal.

"I mean we have a massive legal loophole, and we're going to of course claim that we had no idea that our equipment jammed the Templars telecommunication networks frequency and nothing else. Of course do you not want the Templars to hang themselves? Priorities Santana."

"I don't want Charlie involved in illegal shady corporate shit. So long as you and your lawyers can get her off, then I don't really need to know the specifics. But when are we going to rescue her?"

"Charlie can leave whenever she wants, we have people on standby. But the moment that Charlie freed herself, she was able to teleport freely." At Santana's quizzical look he sighs. "As you know we've been testing Charlie since she came to work at Titan. We wanted to see if we could undo some of the damage that the Templars did. What we know is Charlie's got extremely deep well to pull magic out of. Understandable, we believe it's due to the fact that Charlie is magic-blind. We're not sure if the Templars did something to her, or she's always been this way. We might never know, what we do know is because Charlie is blind to all magic, her magical efficiency rating is absolutely atrocious. Its why according to everyone, she lights up doing the most basic of tasks."

"Is there a cure for it?"

"Not that we're aware of. We're looking at doing workarounds for her. What we did realize is that Charlie does have her own magic, just like everyone else. She's oddly efficient while doing that. The problem is, she has very little control over that as well, and since it is so destructive and she can't really control it, she's only allowed to use it under certain circumstances. Breaking a pair of Templar cuffs that prevent her from teleporting seemed like the perfect time to use her deconstruction magic. Of course it all could have gone badly, and when I mean badly I mean she could have accidentally brought the entire place down. The cuffs probably stopped that from happening."

Santana opened her mouth and then closed it. Titan could only do so much. And they had helped Charlie far more than she had been able to help her. Getting angry at them for telling Charlie not to use her magic, when she knew how little control Charlie had. "They created a weapon." The words are heavy on her lips and she looks back at the television.

"They did." Sebastian agrees. "And they were too stupid to realize how dangerous Charlie actually is. It's a good thing she found you when she did. I shudder to think what would have happened in a few years. The damage that they could have done. Because of you, she can think for herself, and she's decided she wants to be with you and that she's capable of being a mother to Oliver. Right now that seems to mean occasionally showing up and feeding him, so I said we'd discuss this after my wedding. I do think that being a parent would help ground her some more though. And it seems to be something she wants, we just really need to make sure she doesn't just decide to steal Oliver away before the paperwork is done."

Santana smiled, she had seen Charlie with Oliver. She did more than just give him candy she played with him and read to the boy who couldn't be more than five. He still hadn't said a word but he seemed comfortable around Charlie. "I think she deserves it more than anyone. The Templars took something away from her, she can't have children. It's about time they give her something as well."

~ O ~

"As much as you would like to throw our sins in our face where is the proof she was raped? We have only her word, and as we all know magic-touched lie—"

"As does every human above the age of two," Quinn snaps at Jesse St. James. She turns to look at the judges, "Really are we really not believing her because what? We all know it's one of those problem that just doesn't get talked about. I'm pretty sure Clifford Blossom has blamed it on the fact that women like myself have joined the ranks, but that ignores the fact that there are several men who have been taken advantage of by other men. Pretending that the problem doesn't exist is silly, and what reason does she have to lie? Or even bring it up it's not like you believe her—"

"Enough. I've heard enough."

Lawrence looked over at the man who had spoken. "We have yet to hear all the evidence Clifford."

"She killed eighty Templars—" Clifford Blossom began, an irritated tone in his voice. "Whether it was by accident or she did it deliberately it doesn't change anything."

"I have to agree with Clifford, and you all know how much I loathe doing that." Hiram Lodge spoke up. "The result of her callous actions are the same. Something I know we all agree on. So can we just find her guilty and move on? We have more important matters to discuss."

Lawrence frowned at the comment, "We're here for justice what could possibly be more important than that?"

"Getting those children back for one," Clifford answered as if it were obvious. "Most of them were in training to replace our rune crafters. We need them back immediately—so not only did she kill our men she crippled—" the words stop as the entire building begins to quake, cracks were rapidly spreading out from underneath Charlie.

Immediately a few Templars pull out their weapons and point them at Charlie. Who flicked her wrists causing the weapons to disappear.

"Charlie—" Quinn said firmly. "No one is going to harm those children."

"I don't believe you," Charlie snaps at Quinn, her hand began to glow, even as Quinn steps in front of her and blocks her vision. "They think of us as things. As disposable objects and they hurt us if we don't do exactly what they want. They hurt me and those kids, and I'm not going to let them hurt anyone else."

Quinn refused to move the world might understand, but she wasn't going to let them witness Charlie committing murder, even if it was justifiable. "Charlie. No one is going to hurt those children. I will not allow it. Titan will not allow it, Santana would never allow it." She had hoped the buzzword would be enough to get Charlie to calm down. Santana always brought a smile to her face.

"They hurt me. If I didn't do what they wanted they would shock me, and it hurt so badly. They would hit me, they punished me all the time if I made a mistake. And I know some of those kids had it worse because they didn't have a grandfather on the Council. Their father didn't run a base. Leave. You get to leave right now and—"

"Not doing that," Quinn interrupts. "And you've already won. You've exposed them as corrupt, ignorant, bigoted, little men. And while they'll be forced to explain themselves to the world you're going to go home, you're going to go and play with Oliver. Sebastian is going to force you into wearing something nice to wear for your date."

Lawrence frowns, "Lucy, what are you talking about?"

"I told you to recuse yourself," Quinn says not taking her eyes off Charlie, she could still feel a tremendous pressure coming off her like a wave and she feared that if she took her eyes off Charlie for one moment it would spell disaster for every last one of them. "This entire farce has been broadcast to the entire world, and I'm sure Titan is doing a massive data dump to various news organizations about the Templars shitty policies. In a few days the entire world will know all our dirty secrets and our dirty dealings. It won't just be the Senate, all over the world various governments will start putting laws in place, if they don't outright ban Templars all together. So Charlie you can finally go home if that's what you want to do. Let the police, the politicians, the people and Titan handle this. You've already done enough. You've already given enough."

There's a long tense moment and the ground quakes once more, causing people to fall before Charlie disappears. But not before a gigantic crack appears in the ground appears in the ground underneath Quinn's feet. Quinn looks down for a moment noting the large fissure runs all the way up towards the judge's bench and has managed to split the table. Quinn sniffs and turns to look at her father and grandfather before turning back around and walking out.
