Izuku smiled at his apprentice. "Congratulations Kirishima, on surpassing your training. You can now work with me full time."
Kirishima nodded, excitement and joy prevalent on his face. It's been a hell of a month, on top of his quirk training and regular school work.
Tsukauchi walked forward, totally not crying as he told the others. He held out a gift bag, red in colour.
"Congratulations, Eijiro, as the stoic mastermind said. What he didn't say was how proud he is of you, which I will gladly say for me as well. You're going to do great things one day, the both of us know it."
Kirishima grinned, opening the bag he received from Tsukauchi. He pulled out some yen, a letter...and a badge? He looked at the vigilante and detective in surprise.
Tsukauchi spoke for Izuku. "The yen is for pretty much anything you want. Go wild! Treat your friends or whatever, it's yours to spend. The letter is from the heads of the Hosu, Tokyo, and Musutafu police departments. It's your authorization to work with Quirkless without being seen as a vigilante. In it is your hero card. That's the authorization. You're able to use your quirk in public now."
Kirishima swore he wasn't going to cry, but as a man, he allowed himself to do so. He worked so hard and now he was reaping the benefits.
Tsukauchi wasn't finished. "The badge is your symbol as an honorary member of all three departments. You're able to accompany Izuku and others in our department, as long as you don't cause trouble. You're working your way up, kid. I'm proud I'm able to help you along the way.'
Tsukauchi and Izuku laughed when Kirishima tackled the two in a hug. They were so proud, and excited for the student.
Izuku grinned. "Now, when it comes for your class to get their hero cards in the future, we'll just have to make something up. We'll cross that bridge when we get there."
Kirishima wiped his eyes. He can finally be introduced as Red Riot. The future looked bright for him, and he was ready to embrace it.
Izuku sat in his office, his desk removed. He was currently in a circle with six students: Momo Yaoyorozu, Hitoshi Shinso, Tamaki Anajiki, Yui Kodai, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Bakugo Katsuki.
Izuku gathered them all for several reasons.
Momo and Tamaki were gathered because he felt both needed a boost of confidence. Tamaki more than Momo, but he felt that they needed to grow out of their shell, as much as they can, before the sports festival. Momo looked confident, but he watched footage of her in exercises All Might gave him, and he noticed that when a part of her plan or whole entire plan faltered, she freaked out.
He knew Tamaki was a third year, but he requested him anyway. Plus, it might be nice for him to give them all input on the future years of UA
Hitoshi was called because as a new student of heroics, it might be nice to learn how to work with heroes, despite his training in class. Shinso was still unsure of himself despite his want to be a hero, and they were going to work on that.
Tokoyami was called in because he needed to work on himself. For an hour every other day, Izuku trained Tokoyami in Judo, allowing him to act physically if he wasn't able to use his quirk.
Bakugo was called in simply because he needed to learn how to work with others. The one time he did at the USJ was a line that they needed to work to. Bakugo's issue was that his ego was insanely high. He thought himself better than those less powerful than him. In order for him to become a hero that would be respected and popular, he had to be nice as a person.
Kodai was called in because Vlad informed him that she sometimes refused to communicate due to her quiet and passive nature. She also on occasion let others take the lead expextedly instead of taking charge when the time raised.
The next couple hours would be mentally grueling for the students
The session went as followed: They would first introduce themselves. Izuku planned that Tamaki would take the longest to do so, and Izuku would be there to guide him. Afterwards, Izuku would read off scenarios that happened in real life. He would have Tokoyami, Momo, and Yui lead groups of two. Each group would take the same scenario and create ways to solve each problems, even when obstacles were in the way.
For each group, Izuku knew there would be problems. Bakugo would most likely resort to taking over. If such an event came up, he would have his group start over for as many times possible for him to get the gist of working in a team.
Tamaki would probably cower out, so Izuku would guide him until he was confident enough to complete the objective.
Everyone else would be easier to work with.
Putting his notes down, he nodded to himself.
This will be fun.
"So, Izuku."
Kirishima and Izuku were busy sparring after a long day of school, and planned to patrol after they both got dinner.
Izuku aimed a kick at the other teen's head, only for the redhead to duck and aim a punch at Izuku's torso, which missed as well.
"Yeah, Kirishima?"
Kirishima was smacked in the stomach before answering. "What are you doing in the sports festival?"
Izuku smirked and chopped at the redhead, and hit his shoulder, prompting the teen to hiss in pain.
"Probably go on patrol, or something. You got any plans for me?" He wiggled his eyebrow before backflipping out of the redhead's immediate area. He barely dodged a kick from Kirishima.
Kirishima frowned. "I was kinda hoping you'd watch my performance, to see how I'd do against everyone. But if you're on patrol, I understand." This was the first time Izuku had seen the teen frown.
Izuku smiled, rolling forward and throwing his elbow into the redheads oblique. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Kirishima was down, and Tsukauchi stood up, blowing a whistle. "That's game! Winner, Izuku!"
The red head stood up, chuckling. "Still can't win a match against you, huh?"
Izuku laughed. "You'll get there."
Izuku sat perched on a rooftop. The night air was refreshing. He was able to organize all his thoughts, and when the weather was good, he was able to enjoy his patrol. Nearby, Kirishima was looking through a pair of goggles, looking for any signs of trouble. They've been in that location for an hour now, making no progress.
In the last month, Kirishima would have complained and moved locations after twenty minutes. After his training, he learned the virtue of patience, and that he'll get what he wants eventually.
He was about to speak, when he saw his teacher's hand out, stopping him. He arched a brow and looked where Izuku was looking, only to see a girl standing there.
Izuku didn't let his sights leave her for a minute. He didn't know what she wanted, but he knew by the sights of the knives in her hand that she was up to no good.
This time, she surprised him. By speaking.
"Oh! You've brought a friend!"
Her voice was bright and chipper, almost like she was talking to close friends. He narrowed his eyes, refusing to speak even now.
The girl frowned. "And here I thought you'd like me. Am I not cute enough to taste?" She laughed, the sound not at all appealing to the men's ears. "Maybe I should get a taste of you instead!"
Kirishima recoiled in disgust. Once again, he was silenced by his teacher.
"What do you want, Toga?" Izuku didn't sound at all amused. He didn't even know what to think about what she said. What did she mean by taste?
The girl in front of them laughed. "Aww, you remember my name! How cute! I like you more than before now! Who's your little friend? He's really cute too, but not as much as you!" She skipped back in forth, not really giving them much to go on.
Kirishima blushed. Although, he sobered up knowing that this girl still posed a threat.
The girl sighed, almost lovingly?
She skipped to the vigilante, gleefully watching him tense up. She moved closer to him, knives still in hand, and she moved her head up and just looked at him. Nothing more, nothing less. She took in everything about the vigilante, and she smiled.
"You know, you're really cute. And I like cute things when they squirm." She hopped back to her previous spot, giggling.
Izuku was still tense. Is she messing with me? He saw her giggle once more, and without warning running straight for him, knives pointed at him.
His eyes wided. He totally didn't see this coming. When he noticed a blade plummeting downwards, he instinctively used his hands to sway the opposing hand away. She didn't stop there though. She continued slashing, and he continued dodging and blocking.
He analyzed her movements. They were savage, but somewhat graceful. She moved with an energy he hadn't seen before, and she was very skilled, almost like she's done this before.
His eyes widened once again when a knife clipped a layer of fabric on the upper torso. Kirishima attempted to intervene, but a knife suddenly lodged next to his ear, showing him that he was out of his league in terms of skill.
Now it was back to the vigilante and villain. To anyone outside of their areas, they might have seen them dancing around the other, careful not to get hit, while trying to get a hit in.
Eventually, the vigilante giggled, and backed away from the vigilante. "Looks like my playtime is over. I look forward to next time!" She blew a kiss to Izuku and jumped off the rooftop.
Izuku was exhausted. He'd never fought anyone of that calibre, and he collapsed on the rooftop, panting.
Kirishima rushed over to his teacher, checking to see if he was still breathing. He looked towards where she jumped, a myriad of questions rushing in his mind.
Looking towards Izuku, he was very concerned. He was bleeding, but they were mild cuts. "Who was she, teach? Why was she fighting you?"
Izuku stood up, stoically glancing at the ledge. "Her name is Toga. I don't know why she fought me." Looking towards his apprentice, he sighed. He shook his head, thoughts abandoned. "I'll look into it later. We have a few hours to go. Let's move." He ran to the ledge of the roof and leapt to the other, Kirishima closely following.
